Cast of Characters: Professor X, Souvenir

Professor X has posed:
What a peaceful day at the School for the Gifted! Charles had been exploring the grounds before coming back to his office, wheeling himself in as per the usual with a blanket over his lap for comfortability. Still dressed in a very nice suit, he has one of the staff members tell Erika that he'd like to see her. Meanwhile, while he waits?

He reads an old King Arthur book, the Once and Future King. A more classic piece of literature, but one he truthfully enjoys as he reads it multiple times. Though he doesn't know WHEN Erika would be coming, but he'd know when she arrived at his office because...well, grandmaster of telepathy.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir is organizing, taking notes, looking over class schedules, gets a message? Thump, books down, notepad in her bag, and she speedwalks to the office. She's been waiting for this!

She zips up to the door, in her long sleeve shirt and t-shirt and jeggings (whoever did the laundry), bag, gloves (Rogue).

She knocks, then slips inside. Mind racing a bit because she's still kind of trying to distract herself from thinking of vampires right before an incident on the yard that made her tenuous sense of safety be a bit dented.

"You called, sir?"

Professor X has posed:
Charles looks up to find Erika! "Ah, yes, hello Erika. Please, come in, come in." he sets his book down on his desk and slides it aside, clasping his hands together on his large desk as he looks at her. "Tell me, how have you been enjoying the school?" he asks her curiously, knowing she's a new student still. Sometimes it's difficult to fit in at first.

"And also...how is your Psychometry? I see you are wearing gloves and full body clothing to limit touch and accidental psychic bonding. Very good!" he smiles.

Clearly he simply wants a sitrep from one of his new students.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir Hmms! She thinks and organizes her thoughts, because she's sure she sounds like an idiot who just wants to cheat on everything if she doesn't. Maybe why it's so hard to get souvenirs, which is why she was using Laura's socks. Which she needs renewed. And she doesn't really like using Laura's skills like that, because her mindset is intense. But she doesn't like the idea of dying, either.

"Well. I'm doing okay so far. Mostly I hang out with Tyler and Laura right now. They're sweet."

She considers a little. "I'm trying to learn new things the regular way, but it's slow. Nobody seems to want to give me any souvenirs so far. I don't want them to cheat, just.. I staked a vampire the other day, because we got a flat tire on the way home. I wouldn't have been able to with a yellow belt."

"I started wearing gloves right off. I got these from Rogue actually. I had a nice talk with her earlier. I zapped myself trying to give Tyler a hug though, so it's not perfect."

She hmms, "I can read thoughts and senses if I touch clothes people are wearing. I tried it with Laura one day. I'm not sure what to do with that yet."

Professor X has posed:
Charles simply remains seated, smiling warmly to her as if he were a grandfather listening to the wild stories of his grandaughter. Sadly though, no relation exists between Xaveir and Erika aside from grandfather-figure. Nevertheless, as she explains who she hangs out with (Laura and Tyler), he smiles. "Ah yes, Mr. Grant and Ms. Kinney. Both are rather remarkable people. Get through perhaps a hard shell, and you have friends for life. Good choices." Xavier compliments.

Erm, Vampire? Charles seems to look worried now. "Are you alright? were you harmed at all?" he asks her worriedly before she speaks about her gloves that she received from Rogue and how her zapping still happens at times.

"Well...at least it's minimalized and you're not bonding with the entire place. You can? what did you learn from Laura?"

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir hmmms. Decides it's best to just be ridiculously open and think through things.

"Well, Tyler isn't tough at all. He's super helpful.. He's been going on morning runs with me and showing me how to punch trees and stuff so I won't break myself on accident." She worries about him a little bit. He's a nice friend. He could use a nice girlfriend that obviously isn't her, though that's not the top priority.

"Laura is nice too. She was annoyed because everything is too bright, too noisy, too smelly here. I caught a couple of her memories because they went through her head. I don't remember what they WERE, but they were pretty traumatic. Lab coats. She wants some help buying normal clothes sometime and I wanted to help her go shopping, but I'm kind of broke right now." She wonders if anybody needs a bookkeeper. Oh.. "I have to be really careful with consent around Laura. She HAD to help people out with things a lot. I don't want to MAKE her do anything."

She thinks through the timeline of the attack briefly - she visited her parents, then her and Tyler left, and they got caught after sundown - very dangerous in Sunnydale. Then Tyler's tire went flat, and the vampires showed up and attacked.
"We're okay. Colossus showed up and chased them off." Three of them, anyways. The fourth one, Erika stabbed through the heart with an art pencil while she was trying to kill her, with a blend of Tyler, Kid, and Laura's memories of combat. It turned into a pile of ashes. She shudders.

Professor X has posed:
Charles noticed that he doesn't even need to read minds to get Erika to speak her feelings. Nodding a few times, and again...and again...and AGAIN, Charles can't help but smile with her as she explains the entirety of the situation to the Headmaster of the school. With a small chuckle, Charles shakes his head. "It seems that despite your short time, you've had quite the adventure already, young lady." he teases her.

Then he hears that Laura's memories were of trauma. "Yes, we recently brought her into our care. she's....a very scarred individual. Be careful with your words around her, because she hasn't had much real human interaction. But...I can only imagine how good friends you will become." he encourages.

"and I'm glad you are alright. It seems you may get skills or some such by using your powers based on who you touch. Now that is quite the interesting development. Is there anything else you'd like to inform me of?" he asks her curiously, a smile on his face as if excited to hear some new story.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir tilts her head. "Well, what do you know already? I'm not sure how much you've already heard or read about what I do so far, and it's a lot easier if I can just fill in the gaps. For that matter? You're supposedly really good with telepathy, so maybe I should give a demonstration so you can, I don't know. Look under the hood, I guess. I am so open to finding anything out that you can tell me."

She pauses for a moment to check what inanimate objects are in her head. Probably finds you on the list somewhere. That's so confusing sometimes, because it instinctively refiles telepaths into the 'it pronoun box', like with Kid the other day.

She momentarily thinks back to the incident days ago with Andrea, where she picked up the rock and got from the abstract that it contained a left-handed throwing motion. She's not sure what else she could do with it yet. She hasn't really pushed the envelope yet, partly because she's still trying to conceive of what the envelope even looks like.

Professor X has posed:
Charles smiles. "Everything you just told me. I fear if I looked through your mind, it could cause a problem." He shrugs. "Especially since I'm not sure if you have a bond with me or not." he smiles softly before letting her think under the moment. "I am very good with such. It's my mutation. But that will be for another time."

He looks to the clock. "After all, you have class in several minutes." he winks at the young lady. "Oh! tell Hank I said hello, would you please? It's been a while since I've seen him."
