Kid has posed:
Despite all the hostilities and oddities that befall the world...some place fall into a strange Mix of mundane and extrodinary. Where the two seemingly opposite sides co-exist.

Bryant park was at times that place. Nearby one of the recent movie thearter has just come out with Tremors 7 - Mixmaster maxed Out, the first (and likely only) theater release in the series.
    At the same time, remenant of the fungus invasion can be seen in the park. Patches of barren earth where the fungus previouly was, or only lay small grey puddles....and the occasionly 'homeless' funguid 'sleeping' while the sun was done.
    Mutant, Human and yes even animal frequent the place. Some for more or less...questionble reasons. Malcolm, kid's personlized human illusion, was walking in the park. Unsurprisingly, the brute in a fancy pin-striped suit stuck to the shadier forested areas despite the danger. Most nights he goes hunting...but things have been different and for now, he merely strolls. Wondering if he would, among other things.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
A green streak of light slowly travels over the sky, occasional lantern emblems flashing around her as she travels. She is doing a patrol. And... is that a gorilla down there? Weird. The green streak changes course to land in the park, and now it's clear that it's a human woman in a green and black uniform with a lantern insignia on her chest... and one around her right eye. She walks over to the gorilla. "Hello there! Are you lost?"

Kid has posed:
Malcolm looks down at the human woman. His own body language was aggressive and not overly friendly, and a warning growl is emitted, wanting his due space. He raises his hands and make a series of gesture, sign language - an actually watch doing the speaking for him "Do I look lost lady?" the synthetic voice sounded as aggressive as malcolm own body language.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz just blinks, stepping back. "Oh. I..." She blushes. "I was just making sure that... ummmm....." She was not expecting a talking gorilla. A giggling comes from the Lantern's right hand. "Silly J-Bird." She slaps her right hand with her left. "Don't mind that. You are... quite the unique visitor to this park after all."

Kid has posed:
Malcolm raise a brow and his hands sign again, the watch speaking "Eh, I ain't the first mutant ta pass through" he than let out a snort. Of course he had no reason to suspect Jessica was seeing right through his illusion.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz blinks. "Mutant?" she asks blankly. Her ring picked up the nonhuman bio-signature. She looks around then murmurs, "This might be the first gorilla to pass through. Yeah, I can tell." She smiles faintly. "Don't worry - probably only I can tell."

Kid has posed:
Malcolm did have....limited experince with the world in some areas. When Jessica reveals she knows he was a mutant, he seemed half annoyed, half curiouse. He signs "You another one of those fallen archangel things? Or you using some strange device or somethin?" the watches voice demands.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz smiles faintly. "Let's go with the second. I am Green Lantern. My ring is one of hte most powerful devices in the universe, and... it's a good illusion or hologram. I routinely have my ring scan for nonhuman biosigns and... you don't read as human. Sorry if I disturbed you. Oh, here," she states, her glow winking out, mostly, except the patch around her eye. The streetlamps illuminate her but she isn't standing out. "What can I call you?" she asks. "And don't worry - I won't reveal your secret."

Kid has posed:
"I ain't worried. If it happens, just means a bigger meal for me" he signs as he flashes a grin....a very predatory very dangerous grin. As if his canines could piece bone as well as it does flesh.
    The smile fades as he signs "Anyways. How dies it work, where does it come from? What kind of energy does it use, why is it specificly green, can I study it up close?" he rapid fires those questions. "As for what you can call me. Malcolm or Kid will do"

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz nods slowly. It comes from Secotr 0. The center of the universe. Very far away. The next two questions... I'll get to. And the last one - here." She creates a glowing construct sparrow that lands on your hand. "Imagine the rainbow. Seven colors. Seven lights. Now, imagine that each color has a second meaning. An emotion associated with it. That is the emotional spectrum. Green is the color of willpower. I can fly, travel in space, and create constructs by my willpower."

Kid has posed:
Malcolm considers this a moment, as he tries to recall old footage and things he has heard and seen in passing "...is there not some...magical words associated with that? Think I met a few who have met someone they called a 'Green lantern'" he signs.
    He looks at the sparrow with interest. "Hmmm...defininty want to study it up close. guessing red is rage" he signs.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz nods. "Yes. Red is rage, orange is greed - funny thing about that, there's only ONE Orange Lantern. He's immensely powerful. Yellow is fear, blue is hope, indigo is compassion, violet is love." She blinks. "There are no words. There is an Oath that I recite as part of my recharge ritual." She smiles faintly. "I can't just hand my ring over though. You can study my constructs if you wish."

Kid has posed:
Malcolm face was a dead pan one "You do realize, an Oath requires words....right?" he signs. Still he walks closely to the sparrow...and actually goes ahead and tries to punch it without a second thought...or much concern about the person the sparrow was on.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
The sparrow squawks and flutters to your fist as Jessica dodges. "Yes, I know. Oh, they're not magic words that let you call on the light." She grins widely. "I created that sparrow to be lifelike. If you treat it nicely, and pet it, it'll stay here. If you try to hit it again, it might bite."

Kid has posed:
Kid would sign, but there was a sparrow on his fist. He looks it over a moment as he considers the 'life like' aspect of this. Well if it was for biting...he would bite back, after all, might taste like a sparrow, and food was almost always on his mind. And so without further ado he actually tries to eat the construct.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz sighs as the bird suddenly flies away and then perches on your head. "You know it won't taste like a real bird, right? It's hard light." She asks, "Can I get you something to eat that's real so that you won't be trying to eat birds and stuff?"

Kid has posed:
Malcolm ends up biting down on his head rather hard, after all he wasn't exactly going slow. His hand begins to bleed some, but he ignores it as he signs "You said it was life like, I decided to test how life like. Sides getting me something wouldn't take them off the menu"

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz smiles. "It looks lifelike. That's all. I don't include flavor in my constructs. Nobody does. It's... kinda pointless. And it's literally just photons." She shakes her head. "Ah, always hungry. Just like a certain friend of mine. What do gorillas eat?"

Kid has posed:
"Mostly fruits, vegetables and various plant matter" he signs. "But guess if you met a photovore, it would be happy. Pointless in having it look like like though" he notes.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz smiles. "I like birds. I like plants. That's what most of my constructs are based on. Each Lantern has their own style." She then rockets up and away. She flies back in short order with a big hand of bananas. "Here. Seemed fitting." She tosses them to you.

Kid has posed:
Malcolm catches the bananas. He looks at the bananas and back at Jessica and back. He signs "...what is with humans and giving gorillas bananas! Always bananas! Always!" he stops signing. Well beggers can't be chooser...granted, he wasn't begging so he might be able to choose. He stuffs one in his maul...but he doens't seem to particular enjoy it.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz just blinks as her ring audibly sighs. "Oh - is that racist?" she asks blankly. "I thought most of your kind enjoyed such things..." She blinkblinks, facepalming. "I'm sorry for the insinuation..." She blinkblinks, shaking her head, not really sure what to do here. This has been a very awkward encounter.

Kid has posed:
Kid grunts "Firstly, I do not even know what my kind generally eats" he signs "Secondly, wild gorillas do not live in regions where bananas naturally occure. Thirdly....good lord the amount of banans they would give me. Every single day, 360 days ayear. Screw the nutriants just give a rilla some variety" he signs. Was it racist? He didn't know and he really didn't seem to care, he just didn't want to eat any more bananas. Eat bananas everyday of your life and see how much you like them than!

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz nods. "I'm sorry," she states. "Let me try again..." She brings back a watermelon and some bamboo shoots. "I can understand it's frustrating... but you said any kind of plant matter so - ummm...." She's really uncertain about what's going on.

Kid has posed:
"That cause you asked what gorillas eat." he signs. That being said he happily accepts the watermelon and bamboo shoots without complaint. He even tears off a chunk of watermellon and offers it to Jess.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz nods as she creates a construct fork to eat it with. "Thanks. I'm just trying to be polite. I never met a talking gorilla before... unless you count the movie Congo. Or... Grodd. I've heard of Grodd. But is glad I never crossed paths..."

Kid has posed:
Kid gives a small pause at Grodd before he continues eating. He signs with his feet "There was also that other Gorilla..Koko. Speaks in sign language like me...cept she doesn't have a watch to talk for her." he ate skin and seed alike.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz blinks. "I guess. Oh - I should note... that my ring can translate every language." She smiles. "Well... with a few exceptions I guess. So... you don't need the watch. It can do sign too if it's done from an intelligent mind. Isuppose it's semitelepathic." She smiles, then her ring starts flashing. "It was a pleasure to meet you, Malcolm the Kid." She bows then rockets up into the sky.
