Captain America has posed:
It's November, 1917, the cusp of the Third Battle of Gaza. General Kress von Kressenstein of the ottoman empire has dug his heels in firmly into the city heavily fortifying positions on all sides. This next attack is already anticipated, and following two prior failed assaults by the british Ottoman forces under controll of General Kressenstien have just been reinforced by two fresh garrisons of troops.

Outside the city preparations are already being made. Harsh winds blow in from the south carrying with them sand and grit. Troops amass at the ready to storm the massively fortified city and its network of trench systems.

The battle is one set up to be quite the bloodbath, but the British forces have an ace up their sleeves. Wonder Woman, along with a group of soldiers have been gathered together for a quick briefing before the true assault starts. There's no telling what they might find during the battle but hopes are high that with her on their side they may finally be able to successfully siege and hold Gazza after countless failed attempts.

In the small command tent a large map of the region and battleplans has been set up along with a few small benches for troops to listen in. The howl of the winds picks up stronger by the moment with the heat already having gotten to some of the men. Mixed in with the group is one Sergeant Joseph Rogers, who waits for the woman of the hour to arrive with baited breath. He waits with his Hotchkiss M1914 sat to one side ready to be carried out into combat and deployed for the assault, thick brown hair slicked down over his own head from the sweat and the heat of what has proven to be one of the most uncomfortable days of his life.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana of Themyscira has not been in the 'World of Man' for very long. Nor has she been used in the War itself, but once so far... One previous battle eight days ago, that was nearly lost to the other side in this conflict, until Diana shirked the orders of the Men to stay back... and she charged into battle on her own terms, and used the gifts granted unto her by the Gods to fight back against their aggressors. Diana had disabled the other army's weapons, their machines and sent their soldiers back into retreat without killing a single one of them. Many other's suroendered to the British and were now held in a POW camp.

As for now, Diana arrived in this British fortification by that of an Army truck with other soldiers who fought with her in that prevoius battle, they knew what she was capable of and they were proudly behind her now.

Dressed in a long flowing blue cloak that covered the armor she wore beneath it. she approached the new soldiers and their commander.

In a thick accented English, and a leveld gaze of sky blue eyes, Diana looked at him and spoke. "Sergeant Rogers." She said. "I am here to help you end this."

Captain America has posed:
"Glory be am I glad you actually showed." He's certainly got himself quite the thick accent as he speaks with a light smirk coming across his face as he comes back to a stand. "Be a shame if we had to start this suicide mission without you lass." The Irishmans boots clatter out against the soft sand, while he walks his way back over. A light hearted laugh escapes his lips as he throws out a single hand.

He's got the thin layer of grime that show's he's been sent right from the thick of one battleground to the next, a deep tan that says he's spent much more then his fair share out under the desert sun. "We're the first wave suicide squad" Bright smiles across his face even as most the rest of the men here seem to have accepted their fate. "Kings seen fit to send us running head first to give you a bit of cover." Said in a happy enough tone despite the rather grim situation. "Don't suppose it's coincidence we're true blooded irish patriots most wouldn't mind seein six foot deep." He laughs with that broad and confident smile.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana was, unsurprisingly, getting a lot of looks from the soldiers who were not familar with her... seeing a woman on the battlefield wasn't something that many had ever anticipated witnessing in their lifetimes, let a lone a woman that rumored to be a one-woman-army with super powers... many looked skeptical, some looked downright angry.

Diana, however, was simply looking right at the face of Sergeant Rogers. "I will make it clear here, today, Sergeant... that I have no intentions of killing any of the men on the other side of this conflict. My job here is to disarm and force them to flee or surrender to your forces. I would appreciate it if your men did their best to focus on the same goals." Her head slightly shook side to side. "We do not have to spread blood across this battlefield. Not today." She said this in a loud enough voice that most should've been able to hear her, and some likely didn't enjoy the idea either.

Captain America has posed:
For your typical enough looking Irishman in a British soldiers uniform Rogers doesn't seem to much mind either way as he flicks open a pouch on his uniform and shoves a woodbine into the corner of his mouth. "Ey, I had a feeling you'd say that lass." He lets out a quick chuckle as he pulls a matchbox. "Can't make a promise I can't keep, but I'm sure the boys'll be on best behavior."

He gives a bit of a look over towards the rest of the squad who clearly aren't having any of it. "If they don't I'll make sure survivors get latrine duty the next eight months." Said with a smile as he strikes the match lighting up his Gasper. There's a bit of a murmur from the group of battle-hardened soldiers from Rogers little Suicide Squad. "Make that nine months." Before they all fall silent again, low puffs of smoke coming right out the corner of his mouth.

"Not one to question a woman who could just as soon kill the whole room in an eye-blink to be crystal with you." He pauses for a moment. It's not so much that he isn't surprised to see a woman on the battlefield, it's more that at this point the only thing he cares about in this war is surviving long enough to spend shore leave with his wife. "Course once we're out there on the front mission op comes first, we need to blow up their artillery rain or shine."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana had trouble with the military linguistic and phrases used by those in the 'Dirty World', most of it went completely over her head as they used words and strung them together in ways that just made no sense to the woman who'd spent the entirity of her life isolated on a island of paradise. But she was a very quick learning, and she had a laser-guided focus that kep ther zero'd in on all that was going on around her.

"I will disable all of their machines." She said to him. "The majority of their gunfire will be focused on me throughout this. But when they see your men rushing toward them, they will likely become divided and gro chaotic and more desperate. Once they see their equipment begin to break beneath my will, they will likely then begin their retreat." Diana gently shook her head side to side. "This should not take long, but that is not to say it will be easy or without danger to your men."

Captain America has posed:
"Right" Rogers speaks with a bit of a smile, as he hauls up the massive machine-gun over his shoulder for a moment. "So we attack from the east to run distraction while you run ahead, and take their artillery." He puffs away as he motions across the small map of the town. "Soon as you take the artillery Byrne will fire off the Verey, to signal the rest boys'll come from the south and west."

"Trench run'll be the hard part, if we can't knock down their machine gun nest they'll chew us up before we reach the wall." The weapon clearly weighs heavy on him not exactly the kind of thing one would want to fire while standing, much more the kind of thing one lays down to take care of. "But any luck and they'll start moving their forces to close the gap, and weaken it for the rest."

Doing his best for a quick explanation. "Not here to mince words mind," He gives a firm nod. "Those suits up the chain of command don't expect any of us to make it home," He pauses as he pulls the orange glowing cigarette from the side of his mouth. "Truth be told I'm sure as the day they'd be happier if every last one of us was pushing daises by the end of this."

He takes a long drag of the cigarette draining it right all the way down before dropping it beneath his boot. "I say we head out there with this fine Lass, we take the town ourselves, throw up the Irish flag, an send a big two finger salute to the bastards up the chain that think Irish blood can't handle a few turks and kurds." There's a moments cheer from the men as the Sergeant turns back towards Diana. "Alright Wonder Lass, on your mark."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana stood motionless and stared at Rogers as he said these things to her. She could feel the reaction to the words from all the men in the room around her and it made her eyes break from Joseph's for the first time. Diana turned her head to the left and looked at the others in that direction, then to the right...

"No one wants you to die." She told them then. "No one worth considering at least. We are all in this together. This is our world to fight for. These are the moments that define us and make us who we will be for the rest of our existence." She said this to everyone in the area, including the Sergeant. "I am here to help you live and I hope that you will help me, in-turn, rid that which plagues us here today. So that you can all go home, to your families."

Diana would then place her blue eyes back on Rogers and she would gently dip her chin in a soft and singular nod toward him, before she'd turn back around and walk back the way she'd come to prepare with those who'd come with her.

Captain America has posed:
On that sun soaked day, the scorching lights high in the sky the self proclaimed 'Suicide Squad' under command of Sergeant Joseph Rogers, and Wonder Womans team of troops did take Gaza. The fighting was quick and brutal, with a little over half of Josephs Squad finding their end that day on the blood soaked sands of Gaza.

Yet it was through the quick action of both sides armed with but a single tank, and the help of Wonder Woman that Gaza did fall. Finally following attempt after attempt, siege after siege the region had fallen under British control, the local forces in full surrender. Yet as the combined forces of Italy France and the British empire marched on the city expecting to find still heavy resistance they instead found the remains of the two squads sent as a distraction sat at the base of a flagpole.

And at the top of said pole waving high and proud for all to see were two flags, high above all was the Cross of St Patrick waving proud and high in the sky, and right bellow it the regimental flag of the 10th Division.
