Synopsis: A brief random conversation.
Cast of Characters: Darkhawk, Yin, Supergirl

Darkhawk has posed:
It was a game day, and Chris Powell was in letterman jacket. Well, he had the letterman jacket wrapped around his waist. He was supposed to wear it, but it was just too darned hot right now. Starling was going through a summer heat wave, and he was tugging at the collar of his white t-shirt, which disappeared into the blue and gold letterman jacket. It was hard to see with it wrapped around his waist, but he had his initials, CP on one side. Below, he had on navy blue shorts. It was a game day, but thankfully, he wasn't playing on account of a nasty virus he had picked up, which was giving him a cough and some flu-like symptoms. Right now, if he had to play, he'd probably pass out in this heat. He was walking down the main street to Riverside, since the game wasn't for a couple of hours, and it was going to be at Southside High School, as they were visiting the vile and nasty Seahawks.

Yin has posed:
Brooke jogs around idly. She already ran her apprentice into the ground, bt that doesn't.. GET her anywhere different, and right now she has a couple of places she wanted to stop in at to check up on friends and acquaintences. She looks up and waves. "Oh hey, how are you doing?" Barely even sweating, what the heck. Black tank top, black sweatpants, are those sandals? She slows to look you over. "I thought today was a game?"

Supergirl has posed:
"Thanks, Mr. Taylor," Kara called out as held the door open to the shop, letting a couple of her fellow cheerleaders exit first. They were all dressed in their Riverdale High uniforms, in preparation for the game later. They just had to get to the high school so they could load up on the buses and head out. There was a bag in her right hand which had a wide range of snacks for the trip. As she spotted Chris coming their direction, she passed the bag off to one of the other gals so they could continue on their way toward the school. She headed toward the Letterman. "Hey, Chris. Feeling any better yet?" she asked. She glances over at Brooke and smiles brightly. "Sorry, didn't meant to interrupt. If I did. I hope I didn't. Did I?"

Darkhawk has posed:
Chris looked at Brooke, and seemed dumbfounded. He was hot wearing white, how was she not sweating wearing black on black on black. And sandals? Who jogs in sandals? Thankfully, before he can ask too many questions, Kara appears to distract him. "Um, no, Brooke Harris, have you met Kara Danvers?" He gestured so that the two could meet if they hadn't. If he weren't feeling the way he was, he might have given her a peck on the cheek. But he didn't want to appear like he was going to try and give her his illness, even if he knew she couldn't pick it up. "Yeah, not playing today, on the sidelines, trying to get back to full fitness." He coughed a bit, a dry cough. Then he blew up against his face, which sent some of his hair flying briefly. Yeah, he was way too hot. How come they weren't?

Yin has posed:
Brooke shrugs and waves it off. No big deal. "Nah, it's fine, I was just saying hello anyway. How's stuff going with you?" She studies Chris a bit. "Ooh, yeah, your c'hi is kind of low today." She smiles at Kara and nods in a half-bow. "I think we have met in passing."

She gestures her hands past each other. "Ships passing. Not in the night, though. Her cousin was visiting." She smiles. "You should let me try some pressure points on you. It might help a bit. You never know. At least it will make the woo merchant feel better about her crystal rubbing and stuff." Grins in self-deprecating humor.

Supergirl has posed:
Guilty as charged. Kara is not sweating even a little bit. One of those joys of genetics there but it just seems like she doesn't ever sweat. At least, not that anyone around Riverdale has evern seen. Maybe she doesn't have sweat glands or something. "His c'hi?" Kara asks curiously. This is new territory for her, things she isn't familiar with and hasn't read about. She thinks back to all the books she's read and the information she's crammed into herself in regards to Earth and humanity yet still is drawing a blank.

Darkhawk has posed:
Not having ever been too up on Eastern philosophy, Chris gives Brooke an odd look when she mentions his c'hi is low. "I'm sure there are vitamins to bring it up?" He says, half-heartedly. And when she mentions the pressure points, he looks to Kara, then shrugs, "at this point, I'd try anything."

Yin has posed:
Brooke ohs, "All sorts of things help. I do acupressure and t'ai chi and stuff in Angel Grove. Everybody already *knows* I'm weird." She holds out her hand and points at Chris, making a beckoning gesture with her fingers. "Give me your hand."

She shrugs a little, inclining her head at Kara. "She has very *interesting* ch'i flows." and smiles cryptically. "Now, let's see what we have here.."

Supergirl has posed:
That's enough to make Kara want to go look at herself more carefully in the mirror. She's not sure what it is or why it is flowing but she wonders if it's a good thing or a bad thing. "What's chi?" she asks curiously. "It's not something I heard of before." She tilts her head to the side curiously, causing her brown ponytail to shift to the side. The idea that hers is different could be a problem. Time to do some research when she gets home and see if she can fix whatever it is.

Darkhawk has posed:
Chris hesitantly offers his hand to Brooke, very unsure of what he signed off on, but he's on the sidewalk, in broad day light, so how bad could it be? And if it helps, that'd be fantastic. He was getting tired of drinking those darned hot lemon beverages and drinking Dayquil like it was water. "It's uh, energy, inside the body. A few eastern religions and philosophies are really into it, like, it can supposedly regulate body temperature, blood flow, and I even heard it had something to do with martial arts. But Brooke probably knows more."

Yin has posed:
Brooke gestures vaguely at herself. "Life energy flow. I wouldn't worry about it, anybod y who can pick up on that isn't usually going to be looking over random cheerleaders. I'd HOPE not, anyways."

She takes the hand and looks it over, running her fingers over his hand briefly in thought, then starts massaging his hand in odd spots here and there, firmly enough to ache. She moves to a couple of spots here and there, working along his entire forearm and wrist a bit. "There. That should help."

Supergirl has posed:
Kara watches what is being done very closely. Not because she's worried that Brooke will do harm. She just is hoping to understand more and loves learning new things. "Life energy flow. And you can help sick people with this? That's just amazing." There is honesty in her voice, true astonishment that someone can touch another person that way and help them. Yet it isn't a power.

Darkhawk has posed:
Chris laughs at Brooke's joke, before she starts to play with his palm. Some of it hurts, and aches, but afterwards, he actually does feel better. "Um, wow, thanks. I do feel a bit better... maybe it's the placebo effect, I don't know, but cool." He was so nervous about it he was getting a bit cerebral and self-depreciating. He meant no offence or insult. "Maybe someday you should give it a try Kara? When you get sick." Not that she ever got sick. "Thanks Brooke."

Yin has posed:
Brooke mmmm-hmms. "Oh, it's no trouble. Anyways, I remember something about getting locked in a shipping crate to get to people to help at one point. I'm always happy to help, and I'm not hard to find." She grins a bit. "You two up to anything else today? I left my tu di meditating and catching up today, so I'm pretty free to catch games or burgers or whatever."

Supergirl has posed:
"I was just heading over to catch the bus to the game. You could ride with us! I'd vouch for you. We like to sing stupid songs and stuff on the trip. You'll love it!" Okay, Kara loves it but the verdict of others may still be out on that subject. Cause really, it's a tad silly and somewhat annoying to those who don't like what's popular on the radio at the moment. Or those old annoying songs that got stuck in everyone's head and they liked to deny they even knew the song but they could sing every single word on demand.

Darkhawk has posed:
"Yeah, the Bulldogs are taking on the Southside Seahawks tonight," Chris chipped in. He liked to sing the stupid songs, be they school ones, or just something that was popular on the radio. Though his singing voice wasn't nearly as good as Kara. He was more likely to sing off key, and outside the rhythm of the music. But he tried his best. "There should be a tailgate party before hand too, where you can get a burger, hot dog, or whatever."

Yin has posed:
Brooke gives a thumbs up. "Sure thing. I've helped a couple of the players with relaxation exercizes before, they know me. What's been up with the Seahawks lately, anyways? I think the weirdness has been hitting them this month."

She's not bad at singing. Very controlled, anyways. "I'm not sure about the hot dogs and stuff. I'm kind of an accidental health food nut. Kind of blows sometimes, but it just comes with the territory."

Supergirl has posed:
"Oh that's so sad," Kara says. She isn't even kidding. To her, that's a horrible thing to hear. "You don't get to eat anything you want? That'd make me depressed all the time. I mean, I don't always eat." That's a big lie. She tends to be hungry a lot yet maintains her physique. Go Kryptonians. "I mean I eat of course. Everybody eats. I mean, I think everybody does. I hope so. But I don't eat all the time or anything but when I want some potstickers or pizza, I intend to have them. Lots of them."

Yin has posed:
Brooke shrugs with one shoulder and tilts her head. "Well really, I AM eating 'anything I want', it's just that suddenly it's a little bit more pregnant-lady style where everything looks kind of disgusting except that. That over there. And usually it's something really healthy or weird. I can have all the burgers I want, but it's usually zero, and it makes it hard when everybody wants to go hang at Pop's. Because hanging out at Pop's is awesome until they get sick of me nursing iced tea."

Supergirl has posed:
"I don't know why they would have a problem with that," Kara comments as she motions for them to follow along, starting back in the direction of the high school again so they don't fall behind and miss their ride. "I think I'd die without potstickers. Literally fall over on the ground, twitch a few times, and expire," she admits with a giggle. "So things like...what? Kale and bussels sprouts? They just call out to you like pistachio ice cream gets me?"

Yin has posed:
Brooke nods, following along making almost no footstep noise. "Sometimes, yeah. Or peanut butter, or cold chickpeas, or alfalfa sprouts, or whatever else. Pistachios are on the list though." She stretches a little and pushes the pace a little. Her heartrate is quite slow, very good shape, very relaxed.

Brooke mimes getting out a clipboard, "Kara needs potstickers to live.." and scribbles with an imaginary pen.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara's blue eyes are wide. "I do! Did you know that Rachel the other day asked me what a potsticker was. She'd never had one." She shakes her head, making a tsking sound with her tongue. "I mean, I had to go get some immediately and introduce her to the wonder. She agreed with me after that and wondered how she'd ever survived. I'm sure I safed her life. Really and truly." There is an impishness to her smile now, showing she's more teasing than anything.

Yin has posed:
Brooke nods. "Truely a miracle of modern medicine." She nods gravely. "What else have you been up to, anything? Other than just the one game coming up, anyway. I don't exactly see you every day." She idly flicks her eyes out to people we are following to see just how hard it's going to be to make up time, while simultaneously being unworried. It's not like she can't run them down.

Supergirl has posed:
The two cheerleaders are about two blocks ahead. There will be no problem with the timing of the small trio of heroes in disguise though. They have about a half hour before the bus leaves and they should make it in about five minutes tops. It's not really that far from the main street. "Not much really," Kara admits with a shrug. "I can't even go on a date because /someone/ is afraid he's going to give me the bug he's caught." She doesn't look directly at Chris as she says it but it's implied. Oh it is so very implied. "Other than that, the usual stuff. Out and about and doing what needs to be done."

Yin has posed:
Brooke rolls her eyes. "If you catch it, you catch it. Not a big deal. Sharing is caring." She hmms, "And let me know if you want a hand on any of the 'other' stuff. I do what I can. The date part I wouldn't know; I haven't really been looking. I don't even know where I would start."
