It was just the average day in New York. People still screamed at each other from point A and Point B, cars honked at each other incessantly as the roads were blocked up until the corner of the street where some moron doesn't know how to drive. Either way, it's New York. BUT! the good news is, the weather outside is phenomenal. So! Rayner Vasusena decided to spend the day outside, unaware of whom he could come across or who he could meet.

He must've gotten out of a board meeting OR he just got off work, because he is wearing QUITE the fancy suit. Pitch black, but with the classic white undershirt and a red tie. Maybe he's a HITMAN fan? either way, he checks his silver watch. Huh, 3:30pm? Don't have to go back to the office today to be a CEO, so...that's awesome. Coffee in hand, he simply watches as the world continues on.

Radiance has posed:
Min could have flew back to New York, but there is just something about taking the train. It's so elegant and classy. Hermione chuckles and rolls her eyes as men offer to help her with her bags. She shakes her head and politely refuses, only to pick up all her baggage on her own just fine, thank you very much. She has her glow on, not that she can turn it off, and is thankful that it seems to be not offend people.

She walks out into the summer sunshine and smiles brightly. It's good to be home. It's also nice to be thinking of New York as if it's home. Now that her parent's farm is safe from forclosure, she's back here and looking forward to get her life as Radiance back and in order.

Yep, Rayner was all in a good mood and everything, before he saw Hermione. He remembered how they...kinda-not really broke up because the distance split them apart, but he approaches Hermione from behind, and if she allowed him, he'd touch her shoulder to let her know that he was there.

"Hermione?"

He asked in a somewhat shaky voice. He missed her terribly, and he often tried to talk to her but...alas.

The hand on her shoulder causes Hermione to tense up. Really? In the middle of daylight on the middle of the street? Yes, she's a woman in New York. An attractive woman. But then she hears her name and starts to turn to see who it is. Her smile reappears on her face and she puts down all the luggage she was carrying. "Rayner!" She starts to reach out to give him a hug and then stops. Is it appropriate to give an ex a hug? It's not like she has a lot of them to know what is considered good manners.

She bites at her lower lip and smiles nervously. "I didn't think I would see you again! So soon, I mean. Because I thought it would take a while. Because I only just got off the train." Yep, that's Hermione, chattering up a storm when she gets nervous.

Raijin has posed:
Who cares if it's weird to hug the ex! He smiles to Hermione and he attempts to give her the biggest hug he could think possible! He'll even try to pick her up and give her a classic spin as he holds her close. But his eyes fall upon her own. "It's good to see you! I didn't think you'd come back."

He looks her in the eyes then, his arms might stay around her if she lets him. "Well, hey, we're here now right?" he smiles to her. "If you called, I would've helped you carry your things..which I can still do now, I mean." yep. Awkward reunions are awkward.

Radiance has posed:
Minnie doesn't stop Rayden from hugging her or even from spinning her around. In fact, she kind of likes it, giggling and giving him a squeeze. "I didn't know if I would be back, but a friend from Asgard sort of helped my family out. He paid off the debt the farm had accrued over the years that we didn't know about until grandpa died."

She laughs when he offers to help her with her bags. She arches a brow. You too? You know I'm waaaay stronger then you, right? Like Captain America strong?"

Raijin has posed:
Rayner just smiles, keeping her in his arms as he raised a brow. "Wait...what do you mean friend from Asgard? Just randomly decided to drop a gold bar at your doorstep or something?" he asks curiously. "Didn't want nothing in return?" he asks curiously, before he chuckles.

"Ideally, you are. So..when you are fully charged, right? Otherwise, on a normal basis, I'm stronger than you." he teases her. "But many hands make short work. I can help you carry this back to your place?" but then he looks her in the eyes, and his breaths become shallow. "I-If you want..ImeanIcanalwaysjust.." he starts to ramble a bit, cheeks flushing with a red hue.

Oh, this conversation is just growing more and more awkward as it goes on. Hermione pulls away just enough to give herself some space, not making eye contact. "You remember that boyfriend I mentioned before you? The one that... Well, anyway, he came to the farm and wanted to help out. When he found out that the reason I left was because I was doing everything I could to help my parents not lose the farm.... well... Yeah." Awkward!!

Min takes a step back and lets Rayner carry the big stuff since he's going to make a point of it. "I don't mind you walking me home. If you don't mind that ... you know, we're not dating anymore." She looks worried, apologetic. "I'm sorry. I hate thinking that I hurt you."

Raijin has posed:
Rayner seems to sigh a moment. "Oh." he lets her go then as he pulls away from her, carrying her bags as he looks her in the eyes. "I see." it always sucks then the Ex is involved. Not to mention, she accepted help from the Ex when she didn't even tell Rayner what was happening. Did she forget he was crazy stinking rich and probably woulda helped? Rayner keeps a lot to himself before he simply sighs.

"It's alright....I wish we still were but....it's okay." he looks her in the eyes, before he sets one of her bags down and reaches to try and give her hand a squeeze. "I'm tougher than I look." he smiles somewhat painedly before he releases her just as fast, picking up her bags. "Come on, lets walk you home."

Radiance has posed:
Hermione sighs softly. She's not used to feeling this way and hasn't the experience to know how to deal with it. "Yeah," she says, her discomfort with the situation evident in her voice. "We can still work together as Radiance and Raiden. If you like."

"To be honest, I want to just focus on my work and my *work*, if you know what I mean. I am hoping Mr. Stark will still have a job for me after being gone for almost a whole year. If not, I might try to see if Ambassador Prince happens to need a Personal Assistant. I mean, I doubt I would get the job, but a girl can dream, right?" She gives his hand a squeeze and then scoops her bags and walks along towards Hell's Kitchen.

Raijin has posed:
"Raijin." he corrects Hermione with a bit of a chuckle. "But points for trying." Rayner teases her very softly as he carries her bags. Though when Hermione mentions Ambassador Prince, he has a feeling he knows what she's talking about and he almost sounds annoyed. "Sounds like you want more than to be just an assistant..." Rayner mumbles softly as he follows her through Hells Kitchen.

This is just...awkward. But, he shrugs. "Stark will probably rehire you, especially if you were a good employee and just tell him what happened."

Radiance has posed:
The awkward only gets worse. "SOrry! Raijin. Well, we only really fought together the one time," she says in way of trying to justify her lack of memory. She looks over to Rayden with confusion as he seems grumpy about Ambassador Prince. "Is there a problem? You don't seem very fond of her."

"I am hoping Mr. Stark will be okay with that. He knew why I left, so I'm hoping he'll be okay with my returning." SHe smiles as she remembers Tony, who had always been a bit of a mentor to her.

Raijin has posed:
Rayner simply smiles to her. "Don't worry about it. It happens. Though I'm pretty sure we fought together twice. and...only once." he coughs lightly into his shoulder. AWKWARD. Before he looks to Hermione. "Oh, I thought you were meaning someone else and not Wonder Woman. That's my bad. She's actually really down to earth. I met her twice. Scary though." He shivers at the thought.

"Of course he will be. I remember he taught you some heroics and was training you, I thought? But, oh well. Anyway, I think you're just across the street here, right?" he asks in reminding where she lived.

Radiance has posed:
Hermione says, "It's been almost a year. I guess I've had a lot on my mind." THis isn't going well. Not well at all. "Who else would I mean? Of course WOnder Woman! She's one of my idols! To work with her would be a dream come true." She laughs at the description of her being scary. "Well, yeah. She makes me look like a childs toy version of her when it comes to power and stuff."

She looks up towards the apartment, surprised they have gotten to the Kitchen so quickly. She smiles when she sees her old apartment with Lyssa and nods. "That's the one. THank you for helping me out. I really do appreciate it.""

Rayner sets her bags down when they finally arrive at the apartment. "If you want...I can help you carry them up? I can get it done very quickly." given that one of his main powers is super speed, he smiles to her, even if he tries t oclose the distance between them. "You know....we, uh, don't have to..." stay distant. They could get back together, but Rayner doesn't seem to be able to get it out. Instead reaching for her waist if she lets him. Was he going for a hug?

"I missed you, Hermione. Don't leave without a word again, okay?"

Hermione was always the sort of girl to do things for herself. Self sufficiency is something she prides herself in. "I know you could, Ray, but I think I just want to get in and get changed into my tshirt and shorts and relax. She steps back as he closes the distance, making it clear with body language that she's not feeling that way about her ex anymore. "I missed all my friends here. I'm glad to be back. We can hang out and do stuff, sure, but I don't know if we... well, I mean I like you, but I would need time to feel.... like *that* again."

Raijin has posed:
"Oh.." she doesn't like Rayner like that anymore. He kinda figured. But..had to try, right? With a heavy sigh, Rayner nods, and takes a step back. "Yeah, well...uhm, take care of yourself, alright?" Rayner looks her in the eyes before he puts his hands in his pocketsa nd turns heel. He needs time to think.
