Big Bad Wolf and Halloween Eagle
Date of Scene: 07 August 2018
Location: Titans Tower
Synopsis: Breath tries to get to know more about Raven, with minimal success.
Cast of Characters: Breath, Raven

Breath has posed:
Lyssa is in the rec room, reading over a course catalog a bit, wearing her abbreviated costume and slippers, generally slumming it. She hmmms, flipping through it and tapping her chin a bit, considering. Otherwise? It seems pretty quiet. No immediate sources of righteous fury today.. though that can always change. She has a phone open next to her, having her own 'Breath-signal' sort of setup seperate from everything else. She glances up at any sort of noise, scribbling on a notepad.

Raven has posed:
The noise of the coffee machine springing to life is the first indication that there is someone else present in the rec room. Raven herself is not necessarily a master of stealth, but she is the best at just appearing in rooms without much heraldry.

She's dressed like she always is. Boots. Sweater. Probably yoga pants? The sweater's too long to really tell. She seems to be minding her own business, putting together caffeine with a side of bitter acidity.

Breath has posed:
Lyssa tilts her head at you thoughtfully and considers a bit. "Hello." She hmms, making a little bit of space.

She gives a couple of seconds to let the greeting settle. "How have you been doing? I know you needed some time to recover after that last bit of craziness. And we haven't really talked much so far." She smiles softly, social nicety satisfied plus honest concern.

Raven has posed:
Raven is, at best, the cold shoulder personified. At the attention from Lyssa, her head turns. She looks as glum as ever, and though she's not overtly hostile, it's clear she's not exactly the talking type- which, admittedly, is to be expected. "I was recovered from it before it even happened. I'm fine."

Note, of course, the typical gothic non-committal to the conversation. She didn't ask how Breath was doing, just gave her answer. At least, she didn't run away. So that's good.

Breath has posed:
Lyssa nods. "I'm glad to hear that." She considers. "Is there anything you might have any interest in hearing about me? I don't know a lot about you, and I should probably change that if we are working together much. But I don't want to just quiz you like.. Iunno, Robin on an obsessive jag or anything like that." She reaches in a small bowl next to ger, pulls out a grape, and pops it in her mouth to munch on, shrugging in what she hopes is a nonagressive, non-creepy way.

Raven has posed:
"At the risk of sounding like Robin," she begins, sliding the pot free and pouring a cup of coffee that is, by some miracle, not instantaneously frozen just by being around Raven. "I'm not entirely the most... Sociable type. You can quiz. I'm an adult, I can refuse to answer. I won't, however, feel the need to ask any questions in response. I prefer the lightning round."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa hmmms, considering. "I gathered that. I thought you might have at least a few questions, though. Even if they are completely business tactical." She frowns a little bit, thinking. The pen gets tapped on her chin again, and another grape is devoured as she considers what to ask.

She starts with, "Can you tell me a bit about what has happened to make you act the way you do? And if there is anything that is especially uncomfortable for you? I wouldn't want to accidentally.. you know. Trip you up or remind you of anything especially awful."

Raven has posed:
There is this light shrug as she takes the first few sips of her mug of coffee. The expression she has is hard to read, as if she's bored, but not of -Lyssa- specifically, just bored in general. Lyssa isn't making it worse, but as with all social interactions Raven engages in, she's not making it better.

"The less you know about me, the better. I can tell you anything you want to know." A pause, "But I won't. I'm not some... Spring flower that's easily 'triggered' by the mention of something I don't like. It takes more than that. You'll be fine."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa hmmms and frowns. "Alright, what are some things I can do to help you?" She hrmms, looking at her papers a moment in thought. "Is there anything that I should bring to your attention if I encounter it that might not be completely obvious?" She thinks a bit. "Like the.. Nevermind, Vorpal said we shouldn't bother you with that yet." She reaches over and intently grabs several grapes, sucking them down one by one in a row.

Raven has posed:
"If it seems like it exists in more than three dimensions, don't touch it. If it came out of a portal, it's best to call me or the League. If it seems like it's above your paygrade, it is." Standoffish, sure, but at least -some- of that isn't dismissively okay advice. "And if Vorpal tells you to do anything, it's probably a bad idea."

Breath has posed:
Lyssa nods. "That sounds simple enough." She nods. "And as far as Vorpal is concerned? I'm not sure what to think about him yet. Other people trust him. He came back, a bit traumatized, trying to scribble pictures of something in his head, but he could never get it right. I was immediately thinking a little bit of column A."

Raven has posed:
Raven ponders that for a few spare moments, but her comments following are the sort of hard to read, half-hearted disparaging that entertains, if nothing else. "Well, to be fair, he was probably voted most likely to write on the walls of his padded cell. I'll look into it if I have time."

With that, she starts making her way upstairs, not necessarily interested in teleporting with the coffee.
