Cast of Characters: Daredevil, Stick

Daredevil has posed:
Matt had been looking for Stick since Elektra told him he was in town. The problem was, the man had been fighting the Hand for decades and if he didn't want to be found, he wasn't going to be found.

Though after the incident at the Hugo Building and the information Skye brought him about the Hand. Matt had redoubled his efforts, and it seemed like he had finally got results. Overhearing news of his teacher at the Hellhouse, suited up as Daredevil, Matt went on the hunt, trying to catch up to Stick before the old man vanished again.

Stick has posed:
Stick had known he was being looked for. But it wasnt until the Hugo building incident did he consiously allow information to leak to Matt.

He left a trail for Matt to follow. Bodies left in alleys, belonging to various gangs in the city. Leading to a small warehouse, where upon a windowsil, was a jacket often worn by Stick. It had his unique scent on it.

Daredevil has posed:
The bodies galled Matt, filled him with regret that he'd let himself be surrounded by people that saw life as a means to an end, and that to save a life, he'd agreed to let him be drawn deeper into that world.

The jacket on the window sil, that just earns a wry smile from Matt as he fingers the fabric, from his perch alongside the warehouse.

Taking the jacket, Matt gives it a sniff, trying to gauge how long ago the old man left it, before pushing through the window and dropping softly into the warehouse.

Stick has posed:
Matt's feet clatter on the ground, a faint echo calls back to him as the sound t ravels back.

The gruff elder steps out and in view. "At least you followed the clues." He comments, waiting for Matt to have a say.

Daredevil has posed:
That voice. It brings back memories and Matt stands stock still for a moment when he hears it before he turns and tosses the coat to Stick.

"The bodies you mean?" Matt says frowning. "You know I have a phone right? And an office if you wanted me to find you, you had other options."

Stick has posed:
"Me doing your work for you." Stick corrects, tomato tomahto. "I dint use phones either. Not for the reason I came back here."

He walks up to Matt calmly, inspecting this costume of his. "So, lets talk." He comments, honing into Matt's heartbeat for his reactions.

Daredevil has posed:
"Killing is not my work, Stick," Matt protests. His heart rate spike as the familiar anger wells up in him again. He steps back and breathes. He'd made promises and none of them involved putting a fist in Stick's face. Not that, he imagined Elektra would mind.

He lets out a breath. "Elektra told me why you're here," he says there's another moment, another breath. "I'm here to help."

Stick has posed:
"Killing is a means to an end." He states, in his hand were two sticks, should be familiar to Matt. They're the same ones he had when he was young.

The old man looks much more ready to go now. "You're willing to help, but how much are you willing to help?" He asks, before he strikes, a leg sweep, or at least an attempt for a leg sweep. A test to see just how far Matt has come.

Daredevil has posed:
The sticks sound familiar despite the years since he'd last heard them used. "It's an excuse," Matt counters. "To take the easy way, eliminating an enemy instead of helping them change. Be better."

Matt shifts in a ready stance in counter to Stick's own. "I'm not going to kill for you Stick," Matt says the sweep has Matt leaping into a turning kick to push the old man back. "But I will help you save Elektra."

Stick has posed:
The kick-push makes a landing, sending him back a couple feet. "The Hand won't change. They cant be rehabilitated. And they will not hesitate to kill you."

Stick distributes each club, one in each hand. He struck out, making attempts to hit him from every side imagineable. Stick knew Matt could block them, at least when he was younger. These were not light taps, these were full strikes, miss one, and it will hurt.

Daredevil has posed:
"I know," Matt says he reaches for his own batons, but the attacks come too quickly, leaving Matt to block with arms and legs, his suit protects him but he feels each hit he blocks before he flips backwards.

"But I don't need to sink to their level."

The batons come out now, gripped in each hand.

Stick has posed:
Stick starts to fight more, swings from left to right to bottom to top.

"So you'll let yourself be killed for no reason? That's a stupid notion." He follows up with a hard kick to the side. "This is the big time, not like when you were trying to get on your feet again. Do you think you're up to it?" His words very pointed.

Daredevil has posed:
Matt matches his former mentor's movements, each one of his attacks is met with a block. "Never said I'd let them kill me," Matt says, he kicks out at Stick with the words. "Just I wouldn't kill them."

The kick lands, Matt oofs, but grits his teeth and carries on blocking and striking. "I am," he says. "Things are getting desperate, the Hand, they're barely even pretending to follow Elektra now. If they're going to make a move against her, it'll be soon. So, we might disagree, but if we want to save her, we're going to have to work together."

Stick has posed:
Stick looks to Matt, halting his attack. "You're correct. It was her worst mistake." Talkkng about her giving herself to the Hand.

Stick puts his clubs away for now. "So, I guess its time to make our next steps." He offers.

Daredevil has posed:
Matt steps back, putting his batons away.

"Yeah," Matt says finally, his heartbeat raised by the fighting. "We need a plan and quickly. We probaly should talk to Elektra too. Coordinate. But if you've got ideas, I'm all ears."

Stick has posed:
"I've been working on the Chaste's roots here. Planting down and bolstering our presence. I would ask Elektra what she knows, but I doubt they told her the truth." Stick adds in. His brow looked gruff and serious. "I'll find out what I can before we all confer."

Daredevil has posed:
Matt nods. "I'd be surprised if they were," he says. "But Elektra's smart, she may know more than they think, plus I've got my own sources."

He turns to Stick, "And how many Chaste are in the city?" he asks. "I have no idea how many Hand we'll be facing."

Stick has posed:
Stick walks up to Daredevil. "Hundreds, if the threat is serious." The old man gives the warning. "I'm willing to bring in all of them if it means we can give a death blow to the Hand."

Daredevil has posed:
Matt's face becomes grim where it shows under the mask. "I understand," he says. "I might not be willing to kill, but I know the the Hand needs to fall if Elektra and the rest of us are going to live through this."

"So, whatever it takes," Matt says, there is reluctance in his tone Stick won't need superhearing to pick out.

Stick has posed:
Stick's features remain the same. "Good. We will need as many as we can muster. I'll be in contact soon." The man starts to walk out, giving enough time for a retort from Matt.

Daredevil has posed:
"Just be sure it's not with bodies," Matt retorts about getting in touch.

Then quietly, he exits the warehouse in the opposite direction.
