Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire sighs softly as she's sitting in her office, holding a letter from Hal. He was called to Oa and... she'll be here alone for a while. The perils of being intergalactic peacekeepers. At least Queen Aga'po isn't much interested in summoning her away. Running a coporate empire is very analageous to running a kingdom (or... queendom?) - and so she is staying here on Earth. But something has caught her eye. A young girl, full of love... and extremely intelligent. All quantities that could very well be of benefit to the Star Sapphires. Deciding that just a drone was impersonal, she starts heading towards the hotel that she put Autumn up in, calling ahead (a bluetooth construct on her ear - yes, she tied her ring into the phone system). When answered, she'll ask, "Autumn? This is Star Sapphire. Has the package of your meds arrived? Regardless, I'm en route."

Batman has posed:
No matter the time of day, only a fool in Gotham proper would keep a window unlocked, even in the highest of high-rise arpartments.

Not that such locks are remotely a trouble for Batman.

Still, he perches quietly outside Autumn's window while she answers her phone. When the call is over, he knocks--the sound loud enough for anyone within to hear.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Everything is unpacked and while the place looks a bit messy, it is definitely a home. The apartment is nice. Not high end but better then a roach motel near the docks. Its clear to see the things that seem to matter to the inhabitant. A very nice computer rig is set up which seems to be the focus of the room. On the opposite side of the room is a guitar and music is strewn around. The kitchen is mostly clean and all in all, the place looks lived in.

The door opens and in walks Autumn. She smells like an old folks home and has lipstick on her cheek. She'd spent her afternoon visiting there and playing a couple games of Dominos with an elder couple whose children live on the other side of the country. She still has a black eye and a few bruises over her body but, all in all she's recovered.

When the phone rings she picks it up and answers, "Oh hey Star Sapphire! Umm I have an address for you. I did get my meds, Thank you so much for that. See you soon." She gives her the address to the apartment and hangs up. Now, Autumn is far from foolish. Sure she's been a small time thief in the past, but she is definitely smart. No way she's leaving windows unlocked. So when she hears a knock, she is definitely curious. Grabbing an old baseball bat that she's had since she was a child she goes to look out the window to find... "Batman!" She tosses the bat aside and opens the window.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire has no idea of what's going on as she simply lands, not glowing right now because it's realtively warm- or only very faintly as she goes to knock on the door of the apartment, nodding. She made the right decision.

Batman has posed:
Slipping into the apartment, Batman straightens. "Autumn," he says in his gravelly voice.

"I came to check on you. To make sure the promises I made haven't been broken. That you feel safe--and comfortable," Batman continues, slowly scanning the furnishings before turning back to gaze at the girl.

"I promise I won't surprise you so often like that. But I was in the neighborhood."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn smiles a little and nods, "Oh definitely. I feel safe here and I couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay really. I've been getting moved in." Then there is the knock on the door.

She gestures to Batman, "That's Star Sapphire. She is the one who got me the hotel room." She smiles to him and answers the door. "Hey Star Sapphire. Umm Welcome!" She giggles a little. Hey she is proud of the place. She has long forgotten about the lipstick on her cheek. "Come on in. I think you know Batman?" She smiles a little. This is only slightly awkward. Plain ol Autumn mixing it up with Super Heroes?! Its really kinda cool!

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire raises an eyebrow, and bows. "I am honored to meet you, Batman," she muses. "If I may ask - why are you here?" she asks. "The cry of Autumn's heart pulled me - what of you?" she asks. She ponders as she sits on the bed. "She is a very special young lady. I can see a bright future..."

Batman has posed:
Standing patiently near the window, Batman inclines his head slightly toward Star Sapphire.

"A mutual acquaintance was concerned for her. Gotham's children are under my protection--so that they can see that bright future come to fruition."

Batman narrows his eyes a bit. "I'm looking to make sure Autumn has a chance at a normal life. Are you planning to disrupt that plan?" He turns to Autumn. "You have the final say in what happens to you, you know."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn Stillwater looks between Batman and Star Sapphire. She's learned before about just how Territorial Batman can be. Still seeing it in person is a little shocking. She gives a warm smile to both Star and Bats. "It's okay! She's a friend! She showed up right after my dad did this. She took me to the motel to get me out of that situation." She takes a deep breath and gestures to Batman to come in. "How about we all talk a little? I grabbed some tea earlier because it really helps to calm me down after school and stuff."

She walks to the little kitchen and puts a kettle on. "Would you both like a cup? It's Darjeeling." She states as she gets out the cups and then moves to take a seat. "I know I have Final say in this, Batman. I really do. This week, everything I thought was normal got turned upside down. I am trying to catch up with everything. I do have big dreams but sometimes I dunno if they will happen. Right now, I just want to graduate Highschool so I can put it and the people that like to bully me behind me."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire smiles faintly. "Perhaps I do plan on disrupting it. I find you interesting, Autumn. You have much potential. Honestly, I could use a person like you in my day job." She glances at Batman - she assumes that the Justice League knew of her prior deeds while she was not in control of herself. "A cup of tea sounds lovely." She glances at Batman. "I did want to broach a subject with you - I wish to apply to the Justice League. I know thaty ou know of my past - and you know that it wasn't really my fault." She ponders this. She gazes at Autumn intently, her eyes glowing faintly violet.

Batman has posed:
The dark knight raises a hand as Autumn asks about tea. "No, thank you," he replies, although the majority of his attention is directed toward Star Sapphire.

Batman takes a step forward. "Maybe it wasn't your fault. Maybe it was. Who can say?" He lowers his raised hand to point at her ring. "One can never be too sure about alien devices with undocumented abilities." He tilts his head slightly. "How can we be sure you're even in control now?

"Besides," he adds, turning about to step back to his original position near the window, "one might ask whether it's in Autumn's best interest to have her caught up in the life of a superhero. Or super-otherwise."

Star Shimmer has posed:
"Err, I'm not out picking fights with anyone. Right now I'm just trying to pick up the pieces of my life and see the light at the end of transition Tunnel." Autumn states knowing that she's told both Star and Bats about what she is.

Quietly she stands up and returns to the kitchen and puts one of the cups away. "Wait... you're offering me a job? I am guessing with computers?" She smiles a little. "I still need to graduate but that would be so cool! I mean I am pretty sure those bullies in school are gonna be flipping burgers at best when they get out!" She giggles mischievously.

She gives a soft sigh and quietly goes to her cupboard. She gets out a trio of bottles. One being the blockers that were delivered. The other two are new and legit at least. She opens them and grabs a bottle of water from the fridge. She whispers to herself, "Over the lips and past the gums, good by male body here it comes!" She giggles to herself and pops the pills.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire sighs. "I want a chance to prove myself. Beside, Green Lantern has just left town. I could be an asset to the League." She ponders. "And... I can see Autumn becoming a Star Sapphire some day. She has great love for others. Her intelligence is remarkable. The only thing she lacks... is love for herself. Not surprising, all things considered." She then states, "Perhaps, in the future, Autumn. But I'd need someone who knows a lot about aerospace." She sighs softly as she turns back to Batman. "Will you give me a chance?"

Batman has posed:
Setting his jaw, Batman exhales slowly. "Hh," he vocalizes before speaking further. "Green Lantern is a light for good, yes. But willpower doesn't need love to act effectively. And, besides, my bias is for the shadows rather than the light."

He clears his throat. "That said, I'm not going to deny someone the chance to prove they can do good. But here's the thing: I'm not the one you have to worry about. I'm always a critic." Batman smiles, but the smile is without mirth. "The person you'll have to worry about is the one you can let down. I'll let him know your intent."

With that, Batman begins stepping back out the window. "I'd recommend keeping an eye out. You may know the drill: make sure to look up in the sky..."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn Stillwater looks down quietly. If there is something she knows about it's the lothing she has for her own body. its not difficult to dislike ones self when the outside doesn't match the inside. Her mind drifts. The idea of her being some kind of hero is honestly something she never imagined. She never had the luxury to imagine. While other kids were pretending to be heroes, She was playing with dolls and trying to show the world who she was on the inside.

The sound of the tea kettle whistling snaps her out of her mental state. She quickly pours two cups and grabs some sugar cubes. "How do you take it, Star Sapphire?" She blushes a little still feeling a little embarrassed over the whole thing. She grabs the tea bags and puts them in the water. She can't afford the good stuff yet.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods. "Ah... translation, don't bother trying to impress you, deal with the others in the league. Perhaps Superman." She nods as she half-expects Batman to be gone when she turns her gaze back in that direction. "One lump, please," she muses, with an exaggered British accent. She ponders. "I always heard that Batman was engigmatic. encountering it directly is... something else."

Batman has posed:
Batman is, indeed, gone by the time Star Sapphire finishes speaking. Left on a table near the window, however, is a tight roll of cash, along with a simple note: 'You can do this'.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn Stillwater smiles and then blinks as Batman is suddenly gone. She does notice something on the nightstand but for now, her attention is on adding sugar to the tea. One for Star Sapphire and several for herself. She quietly brings the tea to Star Sapphire and takes a seat near her.

"Don't think I'll get used to that honestly. Batman is really something else. I was scared to meet him for much of my life because of my past. Now I am sorta happy I have. " She smiles a little. "Sorry. I am just struggling with being myself. You know?"

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods. "By the way, you might want to check the nightstand," she muses softly, clicking her tongue. "But I was serious about what I said. But I own't dwell on it - we have to get you sorted out first."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Autumn Stillwater stands up and walks over to the nightstand. She takes the note and the stack of cash. A small smile crosses her face. Quietly she takes both over to the computer and sets them down there. Then its back to the seat where she resumes sipping tea.

A curious look crosses her face, "What is a Star Sapphire? I mean You are Star Sapphire obviously. But a Star Sapphie? LIke a clone or something. I don't get it." She smiles softly.

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire smiles. "My title is Star Sapphire, as is the name of the corps. Just as ther hero known as Green Lantern is a member of the Green Lantern Corps." She smiles. "Though I am the first Star Sapphire - and the head of the Corps." she ponders, then murmurs, "I am actually a princess."

Star Shimmer has posed:
Do you want a fangirl? Because that's how you get a fangirl! Autumn's eyes light up, "Awwwww Lucky!!!" She beams. "I wish I could be a Princess. Sadly short of marrying a Prince and hiding how I was born that won't happen." She giggles a little. "Well I think I understand. So You are a Star Sapphire. You call yourself Star Sapphire. You are part of the Star Sapphire Corps. Okay I get it. It must be pretty cool flying around like that and stuff."

Star Sapphire has posed:
Star Sapphire nods. "Maybe... maybe later, when you're settled - I can show you some of the sights..." she muses. "It's seldomly probelmatic to call myslef Star Sapphire for we are spread out thinly over the universe - we aren't as numerous as the Greens." She ponders. "So - I will leave you for now - please make sure to give me a call if you need anyting and I'll check in on you another time."
