Supergirl has posed:
They didn't get a lot of free time. Between their positions in Gamma Flight as well as their singular heroic efforts, on top of getting ready for the start of school at the beginning of September, their hours were mostly filled up. Yet the tried to steal time when they could, a quick visit here, a few stolen moments of talk at the end of a mission.

So when they managed to schedule a Netflix night together, and the world didn't seem to be coming to an end, it was a moment to cherish. Kara had things already prepped. Several sodas, a pizza had been received a few minutes ago and sat upon the coffee table, still in the cardboard box it had been delivered in. There was a giant size bowl of popcorn, still hot, with that movie butter she liked so much. She was sprawled on the couch in a pair of yoga pants and a Riverdale Bulldogs tank top. Her wig was no where in sight. Neither were her glasses. They both remained up in her room since she wouldn't need them tonight.

Darkhawk has posed:
First, there was a knock at the door to the basement. It had been left unlocked, since Netflix night had been planned. And besides, she would have heard him coming, the sound of his sneakers against the blades of grass, the steps down, as the basement was partially in the ground. It was a nice walk actually. The cement side had been decorated with faux foliage, giving it the look of a hedge fence, rather than a cement wall.

He tried the door, as he often did, and it opened. Chris had decided to go with his beige cargo shorts, since it was so hot outside, and a fluorescent lime t-shirt, which said 'Snuggly Duckling, Est. 2010' with the logo on the chest. He'd actually started out wearing his Starling Royals t-shirt, but spilt something on it and changed at the last minute. It was clean and it fit well.

He closed the door behind him, and locked it, since no one else would be coming through that door. Of course, Kara's parents didn't miss a beat, her foster father calling down, "Hello Christopher," which Chris sheepishly replied in a loud enough voice to carry up the stairs, "hi Mr. Danvers." Then in a more normal voice, he smiled and said, "hi Kara," before joining her on the couch.

Supergirl has posed:
As her father called out, making sure it was established that there were parents in the home so there would be no funny business, Kara couldn't help giggling at Chris' response. The way he looked and that tone of voice was too much. "He doesn't bite. At least, he hasn't yet. We're fine."

She did lean over to give him a quick kiss in greeting. If Dad was there, he would probably claim it was at least ten seconds too long. But he was upstairs. Then she tucked her feet up, sitting tailor style on the couch as she looked at the shirt. "Snuggly Duckling? Is that what you are tonight?" she asks in a teasing tone as he leaned to the coffee table, opening the top of the supreme pizza and reaching for a pair of paper plates. She offered one plate to him then picked up two pieces of pizza to place on her own before settling back again.

Darkhawk has posed:
"Yeah, right, not yet. It's always never happened until you know, it happens. First time for everything." He actually liked her dad. He was pretty cool. But he also liked Kara, and was pretty sure her dad was trying to protect her from Chris, which kind of sucked, as Chris was a really good guy. Or at least he thought that about himself.

The kiss definitely reassured him, and it was probably at least ten seconds too short in his opinion. "Yeah, you could say that. I'm always your Snuggly Duckling. But... it's also from my favourite movie, Tangled." And he blushed, "I mean my favourite Disney movie, er, animated Disney movie." 'Nice save there, Chris', he thought to himself. 'Brilliant' he added. He didn't reach for the pizza at first, instead going for some popcorn, getting a handful, which he munched on. It was a bit salty, which made him lick his lips again. And he suddenly wondered if she were wearing flavoured lipstick?

Supergirl has posed:
No flavors. Nor does it have color. She just has a clear gloss that gives her lips a pretty sheen without altering their natural color. Kara balances the plate on one knee as she picks up the remote. A few punches of the buttons then she pauses, glancing over at him. "So did you want to watch that movie instead? Tangled? Or stick with Shaun of the Dead?"

Honestly, it didn't matter to her. She liked animated movies. She also liked comedies. Even though Shaun was supposed to be a really dark comedy so she wasn't sure if she'd like it or not.

Darkhawk has posed:
Chris wanted to say 'what we watch matters far less to me than the fact that we watch it together', but he was chewing on popcorn, so it came out more like 'what tch ers les m t act we ch it to her'. He licked his lips a bit more, moving his bottom lips over the top part, and then inverting the movement, in his effort to get the saltiness off of them. "I've seen them both. Shaun of the Dead is really funny. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost were so young in it. But Hot Fuzz, and especially Paul are better. Tangled, well," he looked down at his shirt, "I'm a fan. You don't have a frying pan around here, do you?" It was clear he was joking, but she might not have gotten it if she hadn't seen the film.

Supergirl has posed:
Her brow furrows a bit as she shakes her head. "Not here but there are probably some upstairs in the kitchen?" Kara was clueless. Which meant she had to go searching for the film in the list only to realize it wasn't there. A quick switch had her pulling up the Disney streaming channel where she found the movie in question.

After she pressed play, she turned to extend her legs out toward the arm of the couch. This allowed her to lean against Chris' shoulder as she settled in to see his favorite Disney animated movie.

And learn about frying pans.
