Intimidation Tactics
Date of Scene: 21 August 2018
Location: Unknown
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Shatterpoint, Shredder

Shatterpoint has posed:
It can hardly be said that Caroline is fleeing the scene. She is, however, changing venue. Captive in tow, wrapped in chains of overwhelmingly cold, oppressively strong ice, it is a rooftop some... Miles away, upon the roof of which the nightmarish woman deposits Karai with all the ceremony one would offer a sack of potatoes.

The landing is not especially painful, but it isn't entirely pleasant- even through the chains, the impact of Caroline's short toss still carries the full weight of Karai's body, and then some. All at once, the chains pull apart at the molecular level, reduced to snow in an instant. It might seem like an opportunity to escape, and yet, Caroline is but a few feet away. Faster and stronger than a human should be, at her size. Doubly, she's just dragged a woman several miles, and isn't even short of breath. Smart money is not betting on a probable escape.

"It would be wise to start talking. Why is your... Organization... Interested in the boy?"

Shredder has posed:
Karai lands hard, and the cold has numbed her limbs, making it difficult to immediately respond. She plants her hands on the roof, pressing herself into a sitting, yet poised position.
"I have nothing to say to you, demon," she answers. "What business is it of yours? His offense is against my family, and is of my concern." She still maintains the defiance, even if it's difficult for her to move.

Shatterpoint has posed:
    "I guess I wasn't direct enough."

Caroline's movement forward is casual. She kneels in front of the woman, clearly not afraid of her defensive posture. "You will talk. The words, perhaps, may not be particularly intelligible." Her hand reaches forward, and the tip of her finger, in an almost delicate way, seems to be poking at the other woman's kneecap.

If she makes contact, the results won't be instantaneous, but will likely be devastating a few moments later as- much the same as what happened to Rocksteady- the water within the porous bone of Karai's kneecap freeze and expand, pulling the bone apart from the inside out.

Shredder has posed:
Karai forces herself to retreat as the woman reaches out to touch her, having seen what happened to Rocksteady previously, clumsily forcing her muscles to answer. "What is he to you?" she bites back, pulling a kunai from her sash and holding it at the ready. "He dishonored our family by helping a betrayer. Are you in league with the traitor that you come to aid him?" She stumbles up to her feet, gritting her teeth, and faces Caroline. It's clear that she can't run, but she doesn't seem to back from standing her ground.

Shatterpoint has posed:
There is a momentary pause as Karai recoils from her. Caroline moves into a stand, but the motion is slower. More precise, as if every muscle in Caroline's body could stop at any moment in any position, and she'd be relatively comfortable. The kunai doesn't even get a glance. It's... A little frightening, even to Caroline, how little normal weaponry matters to her anymore. Karai could have pulled an assault rifle, or an RPG. It would all be the same.

"I am in league with anyone who would disagree with rampant murder, or a... Ludicrous, backwards, too-old-to-live traditional style. Your family means nothing to me- its methods and motives, however, are criminal. That much is... -Obvious.- If it is as large as it looks, it must be destroyed. Torn apart. Until its limbs fall limp and its heart stops beating."

Shredder has posed:
"Demons through the ages have tried," Karai says, a swelling defensive pride in her voice. "Villains of great power have tried to manipulate us or end us. In a world lacking honor and discipline, they fail because of their arrogance and foolishness, believing that they have some advantage because of brute strength or a majority of quarum, for we have ten thousand hearts and a hundred thousand limbs."
She limps to one side, trying to work the cold out of her legs, making them move. She seems to be studying Caroline. "You may be able to kill me, but my family will never die. You are not an ancient demon but a young one," she accuses. "Mutant? Machine? It does not matter, if you had true power, you would not need to interrogate me."

Shatterpoint has posed:
The movement is swift. It comes with a feint- one of rather expert precision. Whether it holds more skill than Karai is questionable- impossible to determine in the moment to be sure, as it's the presence of skill at all that is surprising. Karai's fatigue is also bound to skew things. Either way, the feint is used to parry the inevitable counter-blow as Caroline feigns striking for Karai's chest.

The feint itself is meant to hide a sudden surging grasp for the woman's throat. If it's successful, Karai will find herself hoisted off of the ground in short order. Though nothing breaks or cracks or shatters, the grip itself is like ice on steroids- frighteningly cold. Painfully so- It -burns- to touch her, and that contact is going to make breathing difficult.

"Old. Young. Demon. Human. Pointless descriptors. You mistake protocol for weakness, and you know nothing of death. If you did, you would have a little more decorum, and a lot more caution."

Shredder has posed:
Karai recoils, attempting to dodge the grasp, but she's too slow in her current state. A seething hiss escapes her teeth as she is hoisted up, and she flips the kunai in her hand and tries to stab it into Caroline's metacarpals. On a normal human, such a blow would be devastating, rendering a hand useless.
"I know honor," she answers. "And honor is worth...." she tries to choke out the last word, but the freezing pain on her throat keeps her from speaking any further.

Shatterpoint has posed:
"You assault from the shadows, using overwhelming numbers, a mutant rhinocerous and hog, who punch apart buildings, to take down one single teenager. If you say the word Honor one more time, you may choke on the hypocrisy." she states, her voice a fearsome knife with which she seeks to strike some more meaningful, if less physical, wounds.

After letting Karai choke for a moment, she drops the woman to the ground. There is a silence, then, broken only by that horrible speech from her again. "Hearts stop. Limbs shatter. The number does not matter." Another momentary pause, as she stares into Karai's eyes.

"Run." she bids, perhaps seeing how Karai will react.

Shredder has posed:
As Karai is dropped, she stumbles, but her agility keeps her at least on her feet, which is better than most would do. She hold s her throat, a different expression on her face. It's a stinging look, perhaps at the accuracy of the accusation against the Foot's honor.

    She doesn't run.

She still grips the kunai backhanded in her fist, and there is a good bit of anger, but she neither takes an attack posture nor attempts to retreat. Finally, when her throat allows her to speak again, she rasps out, "The methods are not mine, my honor is in following my master. It is not my place to question."

Shatterpoint has posed:
Caroline is quiet for a moment, as the other woman stares back. The comment at the end causes the icy monster no shortage of amusement, but she doesn't show it. "Do all cows die with honor?" is her only retort, standing casually firm in contrast to the posture of the other woman. She awaits the reply to the accusation- but the intent is clear. Run, or be held under the cascade of uncomfortable truths.

Shredder has posed:
The words further agitate Karai, and she stands for another defiant moment, then turns to leave. She takes off in a rough sprint which straightens out, leaping from the edge of the roof, tucking into a neat roll so that she lands gently and is back to her feet in motion again at once.
