Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Kup, Power Girl

Kup has posed:
Kup has finally found the long lost treasure he had been looking for. And what a haul it was, he stared with great interest at the small but amazingly powerful reactor that could produce enough energon to do an entire sector on cybertron. The books, art and scrolls were all interesting as well, but the money, precious jewels and gems as well as metals were pleasant enough to look at. Unfortunately, they were far more interesting to the warships outside. Kup had rigged up the ancient pirate battleship's shields with enough juice to keep the three different pirate ships at bay for a while, but it wouldn't last.

He could get away of course, but the treasures should not get into their hands. He'd read some of these books and knew they held powerful secrets. The ship itself was a treasure if they recognized it, salvagable with rather powerful weapons that Kup had no use for but as someone who had once been in law enforcement he wasn't just going to hand it over. He thought he'd gotten a distress signal out before they started jamming it...maybe.

As it was, he was trying to hook up the only treasure he really cared about to the shields, sighing because it might burn things out. Either the shields or the reactor...it was a tough call.

Outside, the three pirate cruisers shot each other occasionally but mostly hammered away on the slowly decaying shields.

Power Girl has posed:
The League only monitors a few channels on the galactic scale, and by a rather intense stroke of luck- perhaps one in a million, perhaps less- their receivers pick up the signal from Kup's ancient ship. It's not necessarily the easiest jaunt out to the scene of the fight, but... Well, Power Girl is what she is. It also helps that they're not having an interstellar shootout in the light of a red sun.

It all happens very suddenly. What appears to be a shooting star bursts across the black, and then one of the pirate ships stops firing on, well, anything. Yesterday, the crew of that ship KNEW that they'd put together some pretty good shield generators. They KNEW that anything hitting them would be repelled for a while- that it'd take quite a few hits to really pull apart that line of defense.

Today, they KNOW that an angry blonde can hit it at several tens of times the speed of light, and that she'll be tearing apart their ship before their engineers- or, 'engineers'- are even aware that something's breached the shields. By the time they're able to muster the crew inside to shoot, she'll already be breaking through the walls and floors like ever so much tissue paper.

Kup has posed:
Of the three ships, the Kree renegade vessel was the most powerful and so the other two, the Skug and Galmore were already quietly prepared to gang up on it when it suddenly lit up like a Light Day tree. One minute it was there, the next it cracked like an egg.

The crews attempted to discern what it was until finally the science officer of the Skug ship shouted, "Kryptonian!" And they stopped firing at Kup and started firing at the single woman flying around. As for the Kree, because they were at battle, most were wearing suits so the loss of life wasn't what it had to be though the impaling rods and damage harmed each other and still killed sum. A few were smart enough to begin making their way to the small craft in the smouldering ruins of what had been their ship but that would take time.

Kup, pleased as punch now made a decision and moved to one of the cruisers cannons to begin jury rigging a weapon rather than the shields.

Power Girl has posed:
To be fair to the Kree, they have a much better chance of surviving than if it were, say, Lobo tearing apart the ship. She's minimizing casualties- using her x-ray vision to make sure that she's not going to impale anyone by pulling open a door. Amazingly, this means that nobody dies- except the ship itself, which is likely not quite a real person. Her intent, of course, is to disable the ship and scatter its crew, sending them fleeing. Arresting interstellar pirates is always a little bit of a problem, after all- as she holds no -real- Space Authority, and none of the Lanterns are here.

Once this ship is torn up enough to become its own space derelict, she comes tearing through an unoccupied section of its hull, and begins flying through the darkness of space towards the next target- the ship nearest to the Kree vessel. Its guns fire on a target too small for them to really track, and furthermore, Power Girl is unleashed in the void of space. Clocking in at speeds faster than their projectiles are traveling, she hits the next ship like some horrible space-bullet, most assuredly causing masses of chaos and terror amonst its crew as she had with the formerly Kree vessel.

Kup has posed:
The ship was, in fact, not an AI unlike the Skug ship which was, frankly terrified out of its wits but it wasn't about to tell its homocidal crew that. The Kree captain is accounting his crew and is amazed at the lack of casualties and is considering how to take advantage of that. He has heard of these Kryptonians, they dont like to kill people. (Obviously having never encoutnered someone like Zod or the original military thereof). He has not yet thought out a plan but is rallying his floating crew, slowly distributing them to the more useful areas of the ship that can be salvaged.

The nearest vessel to Power Girl is a bright blue thing, the smallestest of the three ships but it is armed to the teeth. They have energy and projectile weapons and the NEARLY hit once they start going to area effects. Unfortunately for them that is a bit difficult since she is literally inside of the ship before they hit the button to change targetting patterns. The crew inside the ship are also armed to the teeth and several manage to hit her as she flies from deck to deck but only the officers have weaponry that will remotely hurt her and none of them get a shot. The third ship, seeing the obvious pattern turns to run just as it is now obvious that this is a fight that they cannot win.

Kup hasn't got the cannon up on line yet but is chuckling to himself as he watches the video of the whole thing. Lucky indeed but as he begins to look at the radar he sees some blips incoming. Not good....he transmits on the same band he originally mounted on the distress call, "We may have more incoming. Thanks for the assist.

Power Girl has posed:
The Kree ship, along with the blue ship, are routed- the third, just doesn't want any of this kind of anarchy. Power Girl, for her part, has already determined several things. First, that the vessels present are wanted criminals of a kind. The only one that's an abberation is the one they were firing on, which looks so old it likely heavily predates the destruction of her home planet. In its cockpit is a robot, of all things- bearing a familiar insignia that tells Power Girl enough about who she should be fighting with and against.

The blonde, for her part, is in the void of space, without a helmet, though with an earpiece. She can hear Kup, but she can't respond verbally. Instead, she floats quietly into the viewport of his ship, and offers the robot a thumbs up. The sign is universal, and means he should probably book it before more of them show up. She can take down the ships easily enough, but not while effectively keeping his ship safe.

Kup has posed:
Kup doesn't need to be told twice. He sends a tight beam to the nearest enlightened civilization, which has a rather large navy. He has what he came for and knowing that the treasure won't fall into bad hands is more than enough for him. He climbs in his ship and books the engines back to cybertron. He hasn't been back in a while, but he is bringing much needed resources.
