Cast of Characters: Skygirl, Green Lantern (Jordan), Melwyn Lumielsdottir

Skygirl has posed:
For centuries the Citadel has fouht to conquor it's immediate neighbors. Generally the Green Lanterns avoid the area, so it is up to other forces to control their expansion. The Citadel and it's subject planets mainly revolve around a blue-white supergiant calles S. Dorias. Very few people or creatures come there of their own accord. That is why it took several minutes for the Citadelians to notice the arrival of a small ship of unknown configuration. It seems to have come out of the spacelanes and be heades directly towards the sun...though given the size of the system, it will take a while to actually REACH the sun.

The ship is very small, a single-person life pod. The design is unknown, belonging to a race that normally normally keeps to its own system. It has a single passenger, a female humanoid. On the side is scrawled something that looks to be grafiti, almost certainly not any official marking.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
The emerald green light of the Green Lantern Corps symbolizes the arrival of Hal Jordan, Sector 2814 representative. As he streaks through space, Hal takes a few seconds to see what was going on, and keeps his will at the ready, just in case.

Scanning the area, and knowing he was...treading on thin water in this sector of space, Hal Jordan takes his time, and notes the situation that he found himself. "Not good..." Hal says to his ring, since there was no one else he would think would pick that up.

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn is also inside of her ship, travelling through a sector of space known to be hostile. She didn't want to go this way but it was better than flying through and area rumored to be in an active war currently. So far she hasn't encountered any trouble, however as she travels she catches a mysterious green light in the distance. She decides to travel towards the light, at least get close enough to make sure it's not travelling towards her!

Skygirl has posed:
Inside the small ship, light is flooding through an open dome onto the slumbering humanoid figure within. A fairly simple AI monitors the sleeper and the ship's progress, she seems to be approaching wakefulness.

A Citadellian cruiser has been alerted to the presence of the Intruder and id on an intercept course. Sensors confirn it is unarmed, clearly nothing to worry about. The only questin is whether to destroy it, or bring it aboard to try to locate the world it came from.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal Jordan's ring does a quick scan, thanks to the will of the wielder, and with a frown, Hal decides to check it out. Moving closer to the small ship, Hal gets in the way of the Citadellian Cruiser, and with a snap of will sends them a message. "Citadellian cruiser, this is Green Lantern. Withdraw, and I will ensure this small craft is taken to the appropriate authorities. Thank you for your assistance."

At least it was worth a try. Enshrouding the small ship in the emerald light of will, Hal Jordan ensures it is protected, while keeping an eye out for the Citadel ship. Untrustworthy to say the least...

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn continues to travel towards where she saw the green light but doesn't notice anything other than the small ship and the Citadellian cruiser on her screen. She widens her eyes and considers leaving, but she decides to get a little closer, ready to jump to FTL if need be.

Skygirl has posed:
Hal's ring scans the ship, and informs him, "Alien species resident of planet Kormo, Sector 1483. Writing on ship is a symbol meaning Biohazard."

On the ship, the woman awakens and says aloud, "Where am I? Am I all right? The AI replies, "Navigation files compromised, ship location unknown. Cellular Stellar Energy levels in you cells are sufficient to render the plague inert, impossible to tell yet if it is cured. Aliens vessals approaching. Green Lantern energy signture detected."

The Cruiser pauses...well at least it toes not change course or speed...then replies, "Green Lantern, you are not welcome in this sector, please leave while we deal with this." The have not yet reacted to Mel's ship, apparently deciding Hal is th greates threat...he does, after all, wield the most powerful weapon in he universe.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Listening to the ring's results, Hal sighs and nods. "Figures. It's never easy." As the alien on the ship awakens, Hal can hear her through the ring's scanning of the ship. "Ring. Let me talk to the occupant." As the ring complies, Hal turns to face the Citadellian ship. "Listen. We're about to have company. Hang on, and I'll try to get us out of this."

Hal also notes the other ship, just within range. Sending to that ship, "Stay back and stay safe. The Citadel is not a "Welcome Wagon" and I think its about to get bumpy." Hopefully Melwyn got that.

"Thank you for letting me know. I must have got turned around at Hala. Sorry, won't happen again. I'll just take my little ship here, and head back to Oa. Thanks for your concern. See you." Hal starts to slowly back away, ship in tow, speeding up as fast as he can, going backwards.

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn does get the message and does understand, "I.. understand. I apologize for intruding." She stops heading towards where Hal is and waits to see what is going to happen, in case her healing is somehow needed.

Skygirl has posed:
The Citadellian Ship comes to a relative halt a couple of likes away...a chort distance in space. There is probably debade goig on as to whether to let the intruders just leave.

The AI states, "Green Lantern, it is inadvisable to remove the passenger from the area of the star at this time. Further stellar energy input is suggested to assure cure of infection rather than remission." It is clear to Hal that the AI is pretty basic, but unable to prevent him from acting. (The transmission may be intercepted by Mel and the Cruiser, though whether they can understand the transmission depends on how good the translaters they have are.)

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
Hal Jordan concentrates, and tries to ensure he is between the Citadellian Cruiser and the others present at the location. All of his willpower was currently concentrating on the shields he had up, and the movement to get them out of this region of space. It was only happenstance that he happens to be here, just as this Kormo Craft was moving towards Cotadel Space.

"I understand what you are saying, AI. We'll find another star...as it is, death will certainly cure the disease, and I'd rather not get in a shoot out with a Citadellian Cruiser...where a fleet is sure to follow. Calculate that."

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn continues to wait and watch what happens. Her ship doesn't have any weapons anyway. But she does understand the transmission due to her All Speak ability. Unfortunately she can't get to Janz at the moment.

Skygirl has posed:
The Citadelian Cruiser begins powering up its weapons, but Hal knows it could do so much quicker. Evidently the commander wants to be on record as having made the effort, but is willing to let the Green Lantern flee if he decides not to fight it out unofficially. The AI has no means to fight Hal if he pulls the ship into hyperspace, so things seem to be hi his court.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
"Okay. Looks like they are backing down...let's go." With that, and a burst of willpower, Hal takes them into Hyperspace, while sending a message to the guest nearby (Melwyn) to follow, if she wants, and thanks for the help. Just to make sure she doesn't get drawn into the conflict.

After maneuvering out of the reach of the Citadel, and scanning for an approporiate system for the situation, Hal maneuvers them so that they are safe, and hopefully, helping rid the passenger of any contagion. "Ring...what was the source of the contagion, and how can we eliminate it?"

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn follows Green Lantern, eager to get out of the area! She immediately hits the FTL button and zooms off!

Skygirl has posed:
The Citadelian Commander orders, "Track them, make certain the leave Alien Alliance space. If not, we follow with all weapons blazing as soon as we emerge."

The Ring suggests, "Apparently a Blue star is bes, but a yellow sun should perform the same function in a slightly longer period of time. It appears, oddly enough, that the Kormoan is suffering from an infection of a microbacterium that is symbiotic with your species. How they cam in contact with a Human to become infected is unclear, but it is harmless to you." Fortunately for Hal, yellow suns are much more common than blue suns, there shhould be many to choose from.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
"Excellent. Take us to the nearest one, outside Citadellian Space, and inform our guest trailing us where we are going." With that, Hal concentrates on the journey, and as they arrive, smiles, and says, "Contact the ships systems, and inform them we are good to go. It may take a while in a yellow sun, but unless there are alternatives, we're here." With that, Hal stretches a bit, and says, "Hello." To the ring, and wills it to go towards the small ship he had rescued, and the other one following.

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn continues to follow, also hearing Hal's voice, "Yes? I hear you." She isn't sure where they are going yet, "The female you rescued.. I can heal her."

Skygirl has posed:
The voice ofthe Green Lantern sounds in both ships. Janz feels strange, but is happy to be alive. She does not hear Melwyn, but responds, "Greeting fom Janz of Kormo. I fear my ship is damaged, it appears to have lost the navigation database. Without it, I fear I am quite lost." Hal can, of course, hear both people addressing him with his scanning beams, though threy can not hear each other.

Green Lantern (Jordan) has posed:
"You can hear her...that is great news!" Hal transmits the message to the small ship, and sits back, maintaining three way communication. "Well now, it seems we are all in the helping mood today. First off, my name is Hal Jordan, or Earth, and as you guessed, a Green Lantern. Looks like we have a healer, and someone who needs help. Seeing as you may have caught the disease from a human, of which I am, I will stay in my green shield. I can facilitate if the two of you need to contact each other?" Hal says, with a questioning voice. "Shouldn't be hard so we can all hear!

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn concentrates, teleporting into Janz's ship, and then teleporting with her back to her own ship quickly after seeing that the other ship is far too small, "Be calm.. I can heal you.." She begins to chant in a language unfamiliar to anyone not from Alfheim. It doesn't take long before a white light fills the ship, and Janz begins to feel herself getting better..

Skygirl has posed:
Suddenly there is somone else in the confines of the small ship. The other person touches Janz, who is clearly confused, and instantly they are elsewhere. The other person assures Janz that they can cure her and begins speaking in a foreign tongue. A white glow fills the ship, it feels good, though in a different way than the light from the stars feels. That also feels good...but good like finally finding something you have been missing your whole life but never knew you missed. This feel good like healing and coming home. Janz basks in the healing glow, wondering how it i being created.

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn continues to chant as the healing spell reaches its' pinnacle. Then the glow starts to fade with Janz being completely cured of the disease that was afflicting her. Melwyn appears to be out of breath now, the spell having taken quite a bit of energy, "You are.. cured now."

Skygirl has posed:
Janz states gravely, "Not that I doubt you, but once my ship is disinfected...which the AI is probably doing now, I should have the systems on board gove me a checkup to be certain. Did the Green Lantern say he came from the planet the disease came from? It seems a strange coincidence."

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn replies, "I do not know. I did not hear him say anything like that but perhaps I simply missed it. If that is the case then you may want to avoid that planet. I believe he is from a planet called Earth, it is well known to my people. My name is Melwyn Lumielsdottir. I am from a dimension called Alfheim. Some refer to me as.. 'extradimensional.' Perhaps that word can give you a helpful context. I am a healer among my people, however we are free of disease, and injuries are very rare. So I came to Midgaard, which is what this dimension is called, and I travel the galaxy in search of those who need my healing."

Skygirl has posed:
Janz laughs, perhaps a bit hysterically, "Well it seems that you FOUND one. I will make a not to avoid Earth, once I get some navigition charts so I know where it is. Is it customary to repay healing among your people? I have litte of value I think." She does not know what Melwyn would thing of value, though if she can repay the healing she will.

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn smiles, "I am glad that you are feeling such joy. Your laughter is a sign that you are well and pleased. And no I do not need your money, this is simply what I do. I am not a physician, I am a healer. There is no need to repay me with anything."

Skygirl has posed:
Janz steps forward...and slams into the opposing wall of the ship. She pushes herslf away from the wall and lands flat on her back. She looks up at the ceiling and says, "OK, that will take some getting used to, I forgot the warning about the side effects of the treatment with stellar energy."

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn peers at Janz, "Treatment with stellar energy? And you were warned of this? I am afraid that I do not understand you."

Skygirl has posed:
Janz explains, "This disease was brought back to our world by space explorers. They found a cure, but a small percentage of the population was allergic to the cure. Myself and the others like me, th only treatment they had that might work was to send us to places like the one the disease came from, a world with a hotter sun. On such worlds, the light of the sun gives us much power. Vast streght, great speed, keen senses, and the ability to fly. Vast strength takes some getting used to it seems."

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn understands, "Yes there are races of people who have experienced similar effects on Earth, and other worlds different from their own. The people of Earth lack such powers innately, although I have heard that many of them in the modern era have manifested abilities of their own. I am uncertain of the reason or cause of this however. I have not been to Earth myself, rather I have only heard of it in passing."

Skygirl has posed:
Janz says, "I presume you did not hear my introduction. I am Janz of Kormo, though I fear with my Navigation Charts damaged I may never get back to Kormo again." Jans looks a bit sad at that thought. She adds, "On the good side, I can now go someplace with a nice sedate red sun without fear of the disease recurring."

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn presses a few buttons on her computer and hands Janz a data spike, "This will have new navigation charts so that you do not get lost. But it has been a pleasure to meet you Janz of Kormo. You may return to your homeworld now or go wherever you wish."

Skygirl has posed:
Janz comments, "Well first thing, take this to my ship and find out if it has a compatible format." She seems a bit tor between her urge to return home and her urge to explore.

Melwyn Lumielsdottir has posed:
Melwyn nods, "Yes perhaps that would be wise. I have never given data from my ship to anyone before so I am uncertain whether your computer will be able to translate it. But it may be compatible."

Skygirl has posed:
When Janz is returned to her ship, the AI on the ship takes the data spike and says, "The format is not compatible, however I can translate most of it, though some data will be lost in translation. Shall I proceed?" Janz responds, "Better incomplete charts than no charts, proceed." The computer begins processing.
