Cast of Characters: Poseidon, Wonder Woman

Poseidon has posed:
From the Deep Sea, Poseidon has watched mankind grow for millenia. Long had he remained detached from the world of men. Took part in divine councils, he did, though even in the Sea God's heart, he loved the world for what it was....and what it is. Though many of the Olympians had abandoned earth when worship for them had mostly died out, Poseidon yet remained.

But recently, Poseidon realized that enough was enough. He had spent too long in the hallowed halls of the depths. Thus did the god leave his throne, to live amongst man.

His guise was name Percy. Namely, Percy Sakas. A name of clear Greek origin. He had been a harbormaster for some time. His silver hair still like so, his beard having been allowed to grow out, much like his hair. His clothes were nice, still even fair. Though in his hand appeared to be a walking stick, those beautiful blue eyes watched the world around him.

But at least one demigod on this plane did remain, the woman who could replace Hera....the question became,

Where is Diana of Themyscera?

Thus did Poseidon look for his niece.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana was living her public life as she had for many years now amongst the people, a public persona and a media-created title of 'Wonder Woman' attached to her exploits amongst the Justice League. Diana had never much been one for titles, she'd been given them since her creation. Princess being the most prominent of them.

But 'Wonder Woman' represented a symbol to people, especially in females who needed an idol to look up to that was rooted in morality and kindness, one that was about helping others who needed it, rather than simply a celebrity or the like.

As such, Diana attends a lot of public events and today is no different. However, today is a casual affaira, its a garden festival in a community garden here in Manhattan. A plot of land where an old building burnt down last year and has since been turned into said public garden.

Here today, Diana is with the people, handing out little plastic cubes with budding plantlife sprouting up out of the mineral rich dirt inside the plastic boxes. She's dressed simply in a sleeveless black top, a pair of dark blue jeans with holes in the knees and some black running shoes, her hair is tied back in a ponytail and she looks all very 'casual' today, but considering the venue, that would make complete sense. She still stands out amongst the crowd though, being that she'x six feet tall and physically unlike most in appearance.

Poseidon has posed:
All Poseidon would have to do is really read a newspaper to know that Diana was known as Wonder Woman in the modern world. A world of people still looking to the sky for Men of Steel, Dark Knights, and Wonder Women....my oh my, how mankind had grown. With a simple breath, the God of the Seas kept walking through Manhattan, walking stick still in hand before he saw the woman of his searching.

Diana. His niece. She had grown beautiful and confident. He always did have a fear that the child of Zeus, meant for so much, had become so little. But, sometimes...it's so nice to be surprised. A small smile on the god's face as he approached Diana.

     Would she even recognize him?

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana is offering a pair of plantling to two little girls who're in the garden today to meet Wonder Woman and get to plant flowers with her. Pictures were quite prominently being taken early on in the ven though now its slowed and only really the two professional photographers on site today are taking photos for the garden's community news letter to be printed and distributed this month.

After speaking with the little girl's Diana's eyes do rise up and they do take note of the man with the stick who's looking her way. She does recognize him, she'd be bad at her job if she didn't. She returns his stare for a moment, not seemingly pleased or disatisfied to see him, because she knows all too well that seing men like Poseidon could mean good, or bad tidings on the horizon.

Nevertheless it only takes a few more minutes of Diana tending to those in the line before she separates herself and makes a casual walk across the edge of the gardens to where he is.

"A big day." Diana, daughter of Zeus, speaks to the man observing the events--or her more specifically. "What brings you from your kingdom, on this day?" She asks as she stops moving and now shows a faint smile to him in return.

Poseidon has posed:
That sweet voice. Poseidon would know if anywhere. The Father of Oceans looks to Diana with a small warmth on his features, which would remind many of a simply old sailor. "A big day indeed. Perhaps celebrations will start early today, hm?" a small joke, but the question is well-received.

"Am I not permitted to visit my niece and see how she is?" A grin as he approaches Diana, patting her shoulder, since he had a few feet on her yet. though he wouldn?t stop a hug.

"You have gotten tall, little one. I remember when you would come down to the beaches on that island. Heh, how you've grown."

"Nay, it is time I returned to be active in the world. Powers are moving...and those who must need to know that Olympus has not abandoned humanity."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana does offer her uncle a hug, a quick lean in and a touch of her hands on the back of his shoulders. "It is good to see you." She says to him as she draws back and shows him a soft smile more open now. "It has been a very long time since you came to see my mother." She could remember it, as she remembers much of her long life.

Diana gives a glance back to the people who're continuing to tend to the garden, families and people who live in the community of this part of Manhattan, Avengers Mansion is even just down the block from here.

"Any day where there is a sense of peace is a day worth celebrating." She replies back to him then as she puts her eyes back upon his own. "So you are going to take a break from your life beneath the waves, and spend time with us here? The 'air breathers'?" She asks, showing the hint of a grin. "Be careful what you show up here, people are often on edge due to the madness we seemingly constantly have to push back against."

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon is a little surprised to see that Diana remembered that he would come and visit her mother and by extension, Diana herself. He always did leave her little gifts whenever she was near the ocean. Or at least, he'd try to. But perhaps what is even more surprising is that she offers him a hug, which he accepts and after a moment, returns. "And you, Diana. You look just like your father."

Poseidon remembers Zeus fondly, despite the often brotherly feuds they would have. Regardless, the Sea God chuckles a little bit. "Very true. If I had my way, I'd wish for every day to be a celebration....but it is an imperfect world. Where joy exists, so too must sadness." he takes a breath.

"Actually, I do intend to be upon the surface more often. Word reached me that the Asgardians have found their way here. I simply pray they haven't brought their troubles with them." A look of sadness upon his features. Though he does smile. "But, I did gain a job position as a harbormaster for the nearby Port. You should come by. I will buy you a drink and perhaps sell you a ship."

     Some teasing from Uncle Neptune.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana's hands then go to her hips as she stands there before him to converse casually, others are looking over to her as well since she's... well, who she is. "The Asgardians have begun to create a small settlement for themselves. I hope that it fairs well, but yes, they do have a great deal of enemies and if the Earth needs less of something, it is enemies... But they are good people and they are in a dire situation, one that we cannot just... close our door to them and send them on their way, it would not be right. There are so few of them left, we need to protect them and help them grow as a society again."

Diana then shows the Sea God a small grin. "A ship?" She asks him. "I... do not know if I am prepared to become a Captain of the High Seas. Perhaps someday, when I am ready to take a break from my 'normalcy' as you seem to be doing now. A sort of... reverse situation?" She smiles lightly.

"I hope the job suits you well, and you are always welcome to come to the Justice League's Hall, to visit or aide us in what it is we do."

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon clearly seems to think sending them away may be an option...but he also seems to agree with Diana. But then again, Poseidon was always a hard read. The Olympians and the Asgardians don't exactly have a buddy-buddy relationship, despite how much Poseidon wished to see peace between their peoples and succeeded. A deep breath escapes his lips before a subtle nod soon follows. "I find myself agreeing with you. I am only worried that, due to the Asgardian's nature as a warlike people, they could seek to expand their lands as they repopulate. Perhaps they could seek another war." He sighs. "But their leader, Thor Odinson...he is headstrong, but a wise leader. Puts his people first. I believe I will attempt to approach him, and offer aid on behalf of the other gods."

But then, he laughs. "Perhaps I can make a sailor out of you yet, Diana. But...this is simply a cover. It is not permanent. Normalcy is the right of the mundane and for those who wish it." Poseidon winks lightly to Diana.

"Oof, I'll keep it in mind. I'm uncertain I would be needed, but....if you believe it necessary, I suppose I would do this old Sea God use to stretch his legs a bit."

Wonder Woman has posed:
And his words make her smile softly back at him as her hands come together then in front of her lap. "I have gotten to know Thor well, he is a good man and will be a good leader for his people. Not all the stories of old really truly reflect the goodness in his heart. It might not surprised you to hear that those 'tall tales' are full of a lot of fabrications." She shows another little grin then, because she knows Poseidon has had quite a number of tall tails written about him that may or may not be even close to truth.

Diana's eyes glance out toward the city street as there are cars slowly rolling past. She draws in a deep breath. "You have come at a good time, however. We have recently pushed back at an invader that was unlikely any I had ever faced before." She looks back to him then., "A weaponized fungus that tried to roll across the natural lands of our world, to consume it all. But, our best and brightest rallied and we... disolved the chrisis. Now there is a sense of peace, so you should take this time to approach the Asgardians, let them know we wish to stay a unified people on this planet. Since we are so often getting sieged now from other worlds. We must stand together, as a world. New members to it, and those of us who have been around for awhile..."

Poseidon has posed:
"Good to know he doesn't slay giants and people who displease him. But then again...we Gods always have various reputations of various sorts. None of which are to be believed unless there is significant evidence as to the contrary." Poseidon seems to chuckle slightly. "But aye...Odin was hardheaded and stubborn. But he pushed for peace above all else. It is good that his son has inherited that notion."

Though he does nod lightly. "I plan to, Diana. I plan to. and yes, I have heard of and seen this fungus. It attempted to spread along the surface of the ocean floor. I found and exterminated it." Poseidon was at his strongest when he was in the water. This is no surprise. "But..the gods awaken once again. Now, more than ever, I agree that we must unite."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana nods her head softly to the words he says. "Odin, in his later years was much kinder than in the earlier ones. These are the stories I have heard, I was unfortunately never able to meet him. I would have very much liked to have..." She flashes a quick smile then.

"I should return to the gardening, before people wonder who the handsome random stranger I am speaking to his." She grins. "It is good to see you again... What name are you going by while you are here? I shall ensure to refer to you by it so as to not raise any red flags for your peace seeking whilst away from the seas." She draws out a card with the information her for her Embassy and for the Themysciran Arts Center. "I can be reached here, should you need any assistance or wish to speak further."

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon smiles to Diana. "Odin was a great many things. I was quite...saddened to hear of his passing. He was far wiser than any title could have suggested. He would have taken a liking to you." He teases lightly. but a breath. "Heh, you are too kind child." Poseidon winks lightly to Diana. "It is I who should be honored to be having a conversation with such a beautiful woman." he chuckles before he nods. "I go by the name Percy. Percy Sakas. A good Greek name."

The Sea God accepts the card that Diana had given him about the Arts center. "I see. Very well, Diana. Safe travels to you. I pray we meet again in the near future." a smile from Poseidon before he turns to leave.
