Cast of Characters: Ekaterina Vespucci, Darcy Lewis, Wonder Woman

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
It's night time and Ekaterina has just finished up teaching her Art History class at the local community college. Against the advice of Chris and Gary her two highest ranking henchmen Kat is without any sort of security detail. Such things tend to attract attention anyway. She should be heading home for some sleep but she alas feels the call for a hit of cafine and maybe one of those delectable Italian Doughnuts with the nutella inside. She likes them alot. Noi matter how many of the things the small girl consumes she never seems to get any bigger - a source of jealousy for many of her female friends. Not that she has many. She pushes her way through a door with two large cylinders of sketches under her arms only to be rudely pushed ahead of in the short line by a tatoo sleeved 'Todd' like male. The sort of guy that you tend to see around the place carrying a bottle of mysterious green liquid. The sort of person who tends to lend one to the conclusion that the world is doomed. Kat sighs and puts this incident down to living in the big apple and patiently waits for her turn at ordering from the barista.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Word of mouth is a great thing.

When a gift needed procuring for a tea-drinking friend, the power of the Derby Sisterhood offered this place as a place where tea could be purchased to drink immediately as well as bags of the things to take back to drink at home.

Darcy stood near the barista counter, looking over the selection of teas. She stood in workout clothes, hair stuck to her forehead and neck from sweat, a large lumpy duffle on the floor by her flip-flop covered feet. She was reading the back of one box of tea while holding another, clearly in mid-comparison.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana frequents this establishment, so much so that they have quite a lot of 'Wonder Woman' memorabilia and knick-knacks on display on the walls and shelves of the 'Coffee Bean' shop here on the East Side of Manhattan.

And as it so happens, Diana Prince is here right now already... she's seated near one of the front windows with her hands together, her elbows on the table in front of her and her eyes down on a book that is laying open on the table she's seated at. Her hands are held just off to the side of her face as she just casually sits there and reads the novel. She's a hard to miss figure since she's somewhere around 6'0" tall, and has dark hair and a physical form that draws a lot of attention, especially due to her celebrity status. She's already been approached several times in this Coffee Shop visit alone.

Diana is dressed in a casual style though, a royal blue tshirt, black slacks and simple black shoes, her dark hair in a ponytail behind her shoulders.

Diana reaches her right hand down to flip the page, then she gathers up her cup of tea and raises it to her red hued lips for a sip.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat is carrying too much - and the rolls of her students sketches fall out from under her arms causing the line to fall into disarray. She apologises profusely to the 'Todd' who seems to be the principle victim of this little accident. Karma strike and another rude person pushes ahead of the 'Todd' - this one being more of the 'Chad' variety. This moves Ekaterina further back in the line however. The small girl sighs and looks around the room with her almost anime sized cornflower blue eyes - they settle on Diana with a start. Before quickly looking away. She recognises the woman not just as a celebrity but as someone who was on the opposite side of WW2 when Kat decided to take up arms on the wrong side of history. This makes her more than a little nervous although she is sure Diana wouldn't recognise her. She striokes up a conversation with Darcy in order to center herself overcoming her own natural shyness. "Come here after working out much?" she asks.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
The sound of things falling near her draws Darcy's attention, and her green eyed gaze slides from the tea box to Ekaterina just as the last of the scrolls fall and the line moves on without her. There isn't hesitation in Darcy's demeanor as the tea boxes are haphazardly shoved back onto the shelf and Darcy moves to drop to a knee with an easy grace marred by soreness. Her hands are reaching for scroll after scroll.

"First time, actually. Glittertits suggested I stop by. LIne was too long for me to jump in and get coffee and I'm still browsing anyway. I figured I'd order and pay for my gift all at the same time, ya? You?" Darcy rambles pleasantly, either unaware of Kat's bit of nerves or else running with the other woman's ruse without question.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana is approached by someone who causes her to have to stop her reading, she looks up and shares a few words with them but her blue eyes leave them for a moment when she sees Kat have trouble keeping her belongings held together, she isn't sure if it was just too much to carry or someone bumped into her... but she smiles softly when she sees the other coming to help Kat all the same.

Diana looks back then to the person who'e stepped up to her and, asked her to sign their cell phone case... which was all too common in this world of cell phones. She of course obliges and uses their offered pen to glide her name across the back of the case and then the person parts ways with her.

The Princess then rises up to her full height and she starts to walk toward where Darcy and Kat are, as she passes by them she looks to them both. "Too much to carry?" Diana asks in her thick Greek accented voice as she steps over to the counter to gather up a new paper cup holder since hers had a rip in it.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Ekaterina looks up at Darcy with her large eyes - one of the selling points of the little lady that most like is how when she focuses on someone it's like she really sees them. Her angelic little face lights up as Darcy helps her and is more than a little embarrassed as Diana joins them helping her. "Glittertits?" Kat asks Darcy arching a brow. "I come here reasonably ofter. Never seen a real celebrity in here before though..." she offers Diana. "I often overestimate the length of my arms. Since I took up bowling I have become more conscious of this flaw. I found myself causing a strike in the wrong lane the other day. Maybe it's just becvause I have never successfully completed a pushup in my entire life."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Yeah. She's my jammer on Gridiron. We're taking on Gotham next weekend," Darcy replies, as if that explained everything. All as she gets the scrolls and papers but back to rights, organized by size to make them easier to haul about. As Diana arrives and is mentioned, Darcy looks up and grins.

"OOh. Amazon-babe. Hi. Darcy Lewis. Nice to meet you. Shortarms and I were talking about this place. Come here often?"

Because celebrity is just a person known by a lot of other persons. Generally, it doesn't make them any different on the inside than anyone else.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana sets her drink down with the new cup holder and then reaches for a few of the canvas bags that the coffee shop offers to customers (at a cost of course). She walks back over to Ekaterina and Darcy and offers them both a warm smile. "Here, put your things in these, it should help." She holds one of them open and the others still rolled up in her hand, a large tote-bag with the store's logo printed on both sides. Diana looks between the two of them then but she responds to Darcy first. "Why yes, the Embassy that I work at is just down there. Across the way." She nods out the front window to her left where the daylight shines in. "It is where we 'Amazon Babes' work and live." She says with a clear sense of good humor toward Darcy.

Diana then shifts her gaze back to Kat. "Not a single pushup?" She asks. "That is something we should work on. You have to be strong to survive in a mad city like this."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat gathers her things and finally makes her way toi introducing herself, "Sono la Contessa Ekaterina Vespucci. Call me Kat." She says switchinbg from Italian to English without effort. Unwise for her to go through the formal introduction in front of Diana who might recognise her as "The Contessa" or "Lady Artifice" one of Benito Mussilini's crew from WW2 if her memory stretches back that far. "Thank you for your help," she says putting the materials in the proferred bag. "My students will appreciate this - I need to grade their work tonight."

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Offered a bag, Darcy carefully tucks the items she has into it before letting Kat take charge of it.

"OH, bad ass. You've got an embassy. I've got ..." Darcy stops to consider what she has that's her own, and then she shruds and grins.

"Roller skates," is settled on, her gaze turning to Kat. The formal introduction was not lost on her. She was a political science major, after all, and history was a thing she had to know. With a master's degree in the subject, Darcy takes a heart beat to study the woman known as Lady Artifice, The Contessa, and one thing comes to mind: The Barefoot Contessa. Her food looks so pretensious. Give Darcy pizza and beer anyday.

"Ooh. A teacher. Hot," she quips instead, smiling warmly and acting as if the name doesn't bother her even though it's clear enough that she recognized it and its conotation.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana nods her head a single time then to Kat. "I am always glad to help a teacher in need." She replies then as she walks back to the counter to gather up her drink and pay for the bags she'd picked up, though the manager waves her off from doing it and lets her just have them for free... they kind of like her around here after all.

Another look back then to the others, Diana puts her money back into her side pocket on her slacks and she turns back to them. "Roller skates are fuuuun." She says with a grin. "It has been a long time since I skated. I heard you speak of Derby?" She asks Darcy. "You should let me know if there's a place on me for the team. I would love to play against Gotham." And she shows a wicked grin before she sips her tea.

Her blue eyes look back to Kat then. "What is it that you teach?" She asks.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat shoots Darcy a look of gratitude for not outing her as though she read between the lines on the issue of her true identity. Kat has no poker face though and there is little subtlety or even ironically artifice in the exchange. Diana might very well nbotice it. "I just teach Art History at a community college. I own a few commercial galleries and one of the artists of whom I am a patron for managed to twist my arm to teach some of his classes for him. I developed a taste for it," she says smiling.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"You skate?" This is clearly The Important Thing Here. Darcy beams at the princess, looking like a kid in a candy store.

"That's bitchin'! I've been tryign to set up a team with the girls from work. Oh, this is fucking awesome! I totes have to get your number. I'll text you when practice is and we can get you on a team!" Darcy rambles so happily, even as she gave Kat a little nod for the not-outting-her. No prob. I got you, Boo.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana has her right arm across her stomach and her left hand holding her tea cup up to her lips as she stares at the other two, sipping the drink. When she lowers it again she is smiling once more. "An art history teacher?" She asks. "Impressive. I would very much love to attend any of the shows that you and yours are putting on, if you would have me. I dealt with quite a lot of art history myself in the past century." She just outed herself as being very old, oh well, Diana hides nothing about her life all the information about her is online and elsewhere publicly obtainable. Full disclosture, has always been her policy since becoming a public 'hero'.

At Darcy, Diana grins more playfully. "I skate... though it has been awhile, I may need a few minutes to get my bearings, but I assure you that I would pull my weight on any team." And with that said she starts back toward her table. "I will give you both a business card, with ways to reach me." She tells the two of them as she once more passes by on her way back to where her book and her leather satchel is hanging from her chair by the window.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Oh it would be great to have you both at one of my shows - that is if Ms Darcy is interested. I have alot of charity shows and one is coming up. I'm trying to raise money for a soup kitchen at which I volunteer occasionally," It appears Kat has come a long way since supporting the Facists in Italy. "And definitely having a celebrity present would be a great draw!" she says smiling.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
"Fo sho! I love art. Well, I love looking at it and making all the wrong guesses about it. I paint like an epipleptic two year old high on a sugar rush," Darcy adds, more than happy by all of this. And hearing that Kat is at a soup kitchen now and again. It's nice.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana deposits her cup of tea down beside her book and then listens to the two of them as she gathers up the contact information. She shows a smile while doing so and when she turns and walks back to them she looks to Darcy. "Do not let anyone tell you that your thoughts on a piece of art are wrong. Art is what you want it to be to your own soul. It is as you perceive it, as we each perceive it. What beauty we see in it and what... Mm, else, we see in it." She then grins again and offers them both an Embassy card with her many different ways of being contacted. The tall Amazon woman now looks upon the Teacher...

"How big will your venue be?" She inquires. "I can make sure to have a lot of people show for it, if the capacity is large enough. I would not want to over run it, however."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Oh I am sure you will come with substantially less ignorance to my event tahn most of the attendees," Kat offers Darcy. "I expect it will be quite large the even. I am bringing in material from all of my galleries so I have rented out a warehouse and refurbished it. I have to do things on the cheap so a convention centre was out of the question. Maybe a couple of hunderd attendees. Room for more. On site catering music the works." Kat appears to be quite excited about the whole thing her large cornflower blue eyes dilating as she talks.

Darcy Lewis has posed:
Her phone rings and Darcy bigs leave to answer, stepping away to take the phone call without bugging the other two, though she had taken Diana's card with contact info first.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Once she hands them both her business cards she lowers her hands them to clutch her right with her left in front of her lap. "Well, I will put the word out for a selection of people that I feel will best suit the evening." She says in response to Kat, before she nods to Darcy on her way out to answer the phonecall. "Busy busy lives." Diana says then as she looks back to Kat and smiles openly. "It was a pleasure to meet you, and do get in touch, I look forward to it. Not all events need to take place in overly large locations, and there are many art shows in former industrial sites here in Manhattan these days, it has become quite popular itself. Especially in the Tribeca area."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Kat gingerly takes the card her posessions now secured and she finally gets to make her order - picking up the most unhealthy fried Italian nutella doughnut and long black. "Hmmmpf - is so good," Kat says stuffing her mouth with the late night treats. "So can I call you Diana?" Kat asks trying for once to be polite despite her poor table manners.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana turns to gather her things up from her table then and she looks back to Kat and offers her another smile and a little exhale of a laugh. "Yes." She responds. "I prefer that actually." She says, now with book and leather satchel in hand she's back toward where Kat is. "I grew up only knowing that name, a very long time having only it as what people would refer to me... aside from the royal title, but that... is for ceremony purposes, at least in my eyes." She sips her tea again and then nods once to the other. "I best be on my way, I look forward to hearing from you." And she'll angle herself for the coffee shop exit then and there.
