What is dinner
Date of Scene: 06 September 2018
Location: New York City
Synopsis: JARVIS helps Pepper and Tony communicate.
Cast of Characters: Iron Man, Pepper Potts

Iron Man has posed:
"Miss Potts," JARVIS addresses her in her office, as she finishes up for the evening, "You have a standing request to be informed if Mr. Stark fails to eat a full meal for most of the day," JARVIS primly clarifies. "I am notifying you that that case has occurred. Would you like me to do anything?" asks the AI over the intercom in the office.

Pepper Potts has posed:
Pepper smiles and shakes her head. "Why doesn't that surprise me, JARVIS? Where is Mr. Stark now? Has he eaten /anything/ yet today?" She is already putting away the last of her paperwork to leave her desk immaculate.

Iron Man has posed:
JARVIS takes only an instant to process her query. "Yes. There was half of a bagel at 10:38am, and multiple drinks following," JARVIS determines. "Recently, part of a bag of chips and a handful of chocolate raisins."
An assistant comes in to drop off something and to say goodnight, and catches only the tail end of the report. The assistant Katrina looks puzzled, flashing a bright smile to Ms. Potts. She's not alone in those curious looks: many of the staff are shyly interested. Or judgemental. Most of the staff are aware of the relatively recent dating between Ms. Potts and Mr. Stark, with various effects.
JARVIS waits for the assistant to leave, before asking, "Would you like to place a delivery order?" This is fairly normal. Tony doesn't look after himself in general when he has descended into a project.

Pepper Potts has posed:
"Yes. Please." It is impossible not to be polite to JARVIS. He started it, after all. "Steaks sound good?" Why is she asking?! "Steaks...sound good," she repeats. "From Henri's. With salads, and plenty of veggies. I'll go round him up and make him presentable."

Iron Man has posed:
"The bunker is currently locked for your safety," JARVIS says, his tone apologetic. JARVIS is, of course, difficult to be frustrated with, and has a good sense of how to carefully manuever. He has survived Tony for a long while, so that cannot be a surprise! He has evolved in his own way to ensure survival.
"Would you like me to inform him you'd like to speak, or would you prefer to speak to him personally?" JARVIS prompts, helpful as always.

Pepper Potts has posed:
"Ah, of course. Well then...Inform him that dinner is on its way and I would prefer his presence, and that of his appetite?" Pepper smiles. "Actually no. Just tell him I would like to speak with him, if he has a moment. I'll break the bad news that there's food coming, myself."

Iron Man has posed:
"Immediately, Ms. Potts," JARVIS replies with a slight computer sound that indicates that he is doing an action that may take a little longer than an instant. In this case, bartering with Tony about timelines or coming out of what he's doing.

In the bunker, Tony is laying underneath part of an invention, relaxing. A few of his robots are around. JARVIS cautiously broaches Pepper's request about a word. "What time is it? I thought I had no meetings," Tony asks, dropping one arm over his eyes. "6:42 pm," JARVIS answers.

"...Oh. .... ... What's for dinner?" Tony asks. He's a smart guy, he can make this leap. "Steak, with sides, from Henri's," JARVIS provides.

Tony chuckles quietly, smile twisting his lips against the underside of his arm. "Smart woman. Okay. I'll be out in... five," Tony grants, rolling over, managing not to bump his head. "Invite her and her bounty to the penthouse," Tony orders, snaring a rag from the limb of a robot and wiping down his hands and forearms.

JARVIS relays the message dutifully: "Mr. Stark will be prepared to eat in the penthouse shortly."

Pepper Potts has posed:
When Pepper arrives at the Penthouse, she greets Tony with a kiss. "I take it JARVIS spilled about dinner," she chides, setting down bags clearly marked in the script of Henri's. "I figured you could use more than half a bagel and some raisinettes." She winks as she sets the table and seats Tony and herself. "JARVIS is an equal-opportunity rat," she adds. In all honesty, she is just thankful Tony has JARVIS. Any woman would need all the help she can get, looking after Tony Stark.
