Date of Scene: 08 September 2018
Location: Xavier's School, Westchester, New York
Synopsis: Bruce Banner comes by the X-Mansion to consult on his Hulk problem.
Cast of Characters: Professor X, Hulk

Professor X has posed:
It certainly did not take quite too long for Charles to be made aware that Doctor Banner, also known by his more larger, green persona: the Hulk, was spotted on his grounds attempting to speak with a telepath...but was quite literally stopped by Storm. Thus, Charles decided to take a course of action, knowing that Banner doesn't exactly come out of being in self-exile very often.

So, it didn't quite take long for Bruce to hear the voice of Charles in his head. <<Doctor Banner. I hope that you are well, old friend. But it has come to my attention that you wish to speak with a telepath. I believe I am at your disposal. Meet me in my office at the school. I will help guide the way and you will find a much warmer welcome this time around.>>

Thus did Charles guide Banner through the halls if Banner agreed to meet him at his office. When the Doctor arrived? Charles would be reading his favorite book upon his desk.

Hulk has posed:
Bruce accepted the offer, giving an apologetic smile to Storm as he went inside. Keeping his baseball cap on and hunching his shoulders, Bruce did his best to be a curious newcomer... and just that. The cap on the hat obscured his face, and Bruce relied on Charles to guide him.

Eventually, he arrived at the office, his eyes lifting up finally to glance about, "Thank you for seeing me, Professor. I wouldn't come here if I could trust anyone else for this." Bruce looks over to Charles as he speaks. Bruce seems perfectly calm, much more in control of himself then the first few years since that fateful gamma bomb day, "I need to confirm a theory with someone capable of not provoking The Other Guy into self-defense... so naturally, I thought of you."

Professor X has posed:
Closing his book, Charles smiles lightly to Bruce. "Well, you honor me young man. I'll certainly do my best to avoid any kind of provocation by you. But please, do sit." He gestures to the empty chair in front of his desk, Charles not needing one because....well, wheelchair.

"Your trust is something I take very seriously. But please, tell me this theory? I can tell it means a great deal to you...it is not often you come around." A grandfatherly smile touching the old man's face as he sits up straight, hands clasping in front of him to pay strict attention.

Hulk has posed:
Bruce sits down, before he places his hands into his pockets, "In the past, I've tried to actively suppress or cure myself of the gamma poisoning that started all of this. After all my failed attempts at that, I've come to the conclusion that the infection is simply too self-regenerative and pervasive to get rid of." He takes a deep breath...

"So, I'm going to try another approach." He brings up a hand and taps the side of his head, "instead of getting rid of the mutation... I'd like to see if removing the source of the trigger might work." There's a pause as Bruce visibly considers his next words, "I want to try and separate myself and The Other Guy. First, I need to know what sort of mental matrix I'm looking at. Is it even possible to isolate him from me on that level?"

Professor X has posed:
Charles seems to tilt his head a moment at Banner, almost in a curious sense. "Hold on...Dr. Banner, you want to separate yourself from the Hulk?" He asks curiously. He takes a deep breath, before he rubs his temple. "Even if we managed to separate you two from each other, on a mental and physical level, Hulk would be his own individual, and so would you. Without you to hold him in check, I fear the Hulk could run rampid."

A pause then. "Is it possible? Theoretically, yes. At this point, it would be like separating the unified minds of a split-personality syndrome." But he still seems to show concern.

Hulk has posed:
"I have an idea on where to put the Hulk where he won't do any harm and can be himself. In that respect, I know what I'm doing." Bruce brings out his hands then, folding them in his lap. "I've run extensive tests and simulations on the matter, and I'm confident the process is sound. The question is whether I can isolate him for the process. I've never had a telepath in my mind in that depth though... so you'd be the first to answer the question, if you're willing."

Professor X has posed:
A deep breath escapes the old man's lips as he looks to Banner, clasping his hands together as he appears to be in seriously deep thought. "I would certainly hope so, Dr. Banner." He takes a deep breath. "With that said, and assuming you know the possible risks.." since Banner admitted he ran simulations and tests. "Then it's possible to separate the Hulk from yourself, Doctor."

He lets Bruce ponder this for a moment before he speaks again. "My telepathic expertise is enough...I'll have Jean with me most likely when we perform the separation. I want you to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally....the separating of personalities can wreak havoc upon the mind...especially one such as yours." Charles speaks with the implication that he knows Bruce's mind is a wreck as is his emotions.

Hulk has posed:
"I have a lab setup for the process. If you'd like to help me with it to avoid complications, I'd very much appreciate that. My intention is to give the Hulk peace in a stable place where we can't clash any longer." Bruce notes.

Bruce purses his lips, before he pulls a folder out of the duffel bag he's wearing, and hands it over to Charles, "Do you remember the fungus that was eating our planet not too long ago? I discovered that in their raw state, they are essentially biological computers. My intention is to transfer The Other Guy into a specially treated stalk, then find him a better body. That folder has all the data on neural interfacing tests I've done with this concept. There's no risk to either of us if we can isolate him well enough for it."

Professor X has posed:
Charles looks to be approving of this before he nods. "I would like to help you avoid complications, yes." before Banner reminds him of the Fungus, and asks....to transfer the Hulk's mind to a stalk?! That's when Charles seems to lift his hands as if to pump the breaks. "That...is much easier said than done, Doctor Banner. Separating your minds is a feat of it's own. But..if the Hulk is his own mind...that mind will grow, Bruce. The beast that lies within is a being of great anger. I'm uncertain if I could hold him long enough to transfer his mind into anotehr body altogether."

Since that beast has a willpower that gods fear.

"I will try my best, Banner. But...what do you mean by find him a better body?"

Hulk has posed:
"The science is there, Professor. My tests have proven conclusively that the personality transfer is possible. A raw stalk is a lot like unformed, wet clay. Put a sculpter to work on it -in this case a personality- and it'll form around it. My question was whether or not The Other Guy was a separate enough entity to make the process possible. You confirmed it was." Bruce goes through the explanation, before he points to the folder, "I'm considering a number of options. Variant cloning seems the most promising so far. Make a sort of brother of my own cells and place him there."

Professor X has posed:
Charles seems to take a small breath as he rubs his temple lightly. "Bruce, have you forgotten that...'the other guy' is a person too, just like you?" Charles pointing out that more than a few parts of Bruce's plan is extremely unethical. The old man seems to take a breath, knowing Bruce has always had a hate for the Hulk for ruining his life. But Charles sits up a little straighter. "I can help you separate the Hulk from your mind, Doctor. But I can help you with nothing further until you know //exactly// what you are to do. Not have options. But have a strict and concise plan of action." Charles makes a fair statement.

Hulk has posed:
Bruce listens for a moment, before he stands, and nods, "I understand. I can't expect anyone else to really understand what he does to my life, and how out of control I can become in an instant if I'm unlucky. I thank you for your aid, Professor... but I'm doing this with or without your help." Bruce offers with resignation.

"I need to be able to think and take some control back of my life and be able to objectively analyze The Other Guy in detail before I can give you your answers." He smiles slightly, "Me and him don't exactly speak... and I've never been able to run tests on him myself. This would be my chance for that." With that, he stands, and Bruce starts to head for the door, "I'll let you know how it works out."
