Synopsis: Spider Woman swings into action, saving the night from other evil arachnids.
Cast of Characters: Blackout, Spider-Woman (Drew)

Blackout has posed:
Spider-Woman may have heard of a Blackout saving Darcy a few days/weeks/<time stamp> back. Well, in their case it was more of a mutual saving. Darcy actually saved him and then he saved her. Both had a few bumps and bruises. Or she may have heard of him through the Wasp. He tried to assist her in taking down the Arsenal - an inert robot who is now located in the basement of Avengers Manion. Awaiting inspection by Pym, Tony, or Hank. Who ever can get to it first. She may have even heard of him through underworld channels that double as professional spheres where he hires out as a courier and a bodyguard utilizing his special power called Darkforce Manipulation. Or. She may not have heard of him at all. At least not until now...

Rooftop, 12:45am. The water tower atop one of the tenant buildings located in Alphabet City is smashed. Water spills out of it and splatters its deluge across the rooftop and into the back alleyway. Several tenants will hear the rush of water and many will get leaks from the incident. But what caused it? Why is there suddenly ... oh crap, that's why...

Scorpia < http://tinyurl.com/ybzj3vz7 > A villainess with a motif of a scorpion - how original - is seen battling a man in all black. They leap rooftop to rooftop. Or she leaps, he steps through teleportation disks. She seems to be trying to avoid him. He continues to try and blast her with sticky black goo that is known as Darkforce. An interdimensional substance that, in this case, acts like an entangle attack. However, he misses, a lot. She continues to taunt him, "Bitch Please.", "You can't hit the side of a barn.", "Fokker, you better not get that in my hair.", "You jerk, just leave me alone.", "What's wrong with you? Did your mommmy drop you on your head?", "Spider-Man never had this much premature splorting." and so on.

And in return, he just yells at her, "Bitch, get back here!", "That device isn't yours!", "Give it back before I really try to hurt you."

But Scorpia does not, and it appears that she's getting tired of playing cat and mouse with Blackout. She's pretty deadly in her own right and maybe she's taking it easy on him because in her own psychotic way she likes him. Or maybe she's just toying with him for something worse to come along...

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica has been out cavorting with the shadows. From rooftop to rooftop, alleyway to vacant lot, she has slipped in and out of the darkness, watching for anything out of the ordinary, when without warning she is drenched. With the sounds of scuffle overhead, she manages to remain silent, but her suit is utterly drenched, and she's soaked to the bone. So without a second thought, she begins to climb the wall, clinging tightly to it through the static charge that is somewhat harder to draw out while wet. Peeking over the roof's edge, she sees the source of the kerfuffle, and she sighs to herself. This doesn't /even/ look like a fun fight to get into.

She watches the two run around like two livid hummingbirds, and when Scorpia gets close enough to her, she lifts one hand above the edge of the roof and fires out filament enough to ensnare her foot and leg up to the knee, if she can make contact. The two of them are headed northwest, and away from her. With any luck, she'll at least catch a foot.

Blackout has posed:
Snagged, tagged, but not quite yet bagged.

Scorpia screams when her leg is grabbed by the webbing of Spider-Woman. She never saw it coming and was wholly focused on Blackout's attacks. Being as innefective as they were. Scorpia is pulled off balance, she starts to tumble and uses her tail to stab the rooftop to prevent her from going face first into the rocky surface.

Blackout steps through another portal. He never saw the webbing. Instead, he was stepping to get ahead of Scorpia in her next leap. He wanted to actually be standing in the location where she would land - or the area he expected her to land.

When he steps out of the portal on the other side, he turns and looks for her, only to say, "What gives?". He's caught off guard, confused.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
A twofer! Jessica can't believe her luck! But whether that luck is good or bad has yet to be determined. She gives a hefty pull once the webbing has made contact with Scorpia and Blackout. She's too worried to gloat. She's gonna have two seemingly superbad guys pulled into grabbyhand distance in 3. 2. 1...

She takes full advantage of the time that elapses, getting to the roof and up on her feet for leverage. "All right, you two. Just what the HELL is going on?"

She can only hope that her suit doesn't /look/ as drenched as it feels.

Blackout has posed:
When she pulls, Blackout is pulled back through his portal that he had just stepped through. Spider Woman is stronger than the average bear, so that pulled back through the portal is violent and it causes him to be drug skipping across the original rooftop. Those tiny rocks are annoying, it's good he's wearing body armor.

While on the other hand, Scorpia isn't not so vulnerable to being overpowered. Her tail acts as an anchor in the roof and she's just as strong as Spider Woman. Her leg is lifted, but only such that she can reach down and slice the webbing with her bladed claws. Her black eyes trace the webbing back toward the roof ascending Spider Woman and she says, "Oh hell no! There's no more room on this rooftop for another arachnid!"

Meanwhile, Blackout skids up to Spider Woman's feet. He's on his back and he looks up through his opaque mask. He mutters, "Oh crap.." in a defeated tone.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Jessica looks down at Blackout and with a tug, pulls him up and helps him to his feet. "I wasn't going for YOU...You just got tangled in some good web, and bad timing," Jess quips, looking back up at the now doubly pissed off Scorpia. She releases Blackout from the webbing, and shoots a between him and Scorpia, deciding that the female looked to be the more threatening of the two, based on her gut feeling. "In five seconds or less. What does she have, and why is she pissed?" Because, well, more than five seconds, and Scorpia will be explaining it herself with her boot on Jess' throat. Or worse.

Blackout has posed:
Scorpia returns to her feet, the tail whips around as would a cat's who has become annoyed and is about to leap to attack.

Blackout gets to his feet, "Wow, you're strong." he comments before realizing that he's being tasked with answering a question. He says, "A microchip. It is part of a device that taps free energy from a pocket dimension."

Scorpia twists as she screams, "DIE!". Her tail whips around and a green ball of energy is hurdled in front of her. It will burn through the webbing and strike the ground between Spider Woman and Blackout. It will explode upon impact.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jess tucks and rolls to the side away from the explosion. "Well, I guess that would explain it. Wanna help me squash a bug?" Jess fires webs with both hands in Scorpia's direction, if nothing else as a diversionary tactic to buy a little time, and decide whether Blackout is going to be cooperative. "I'll be your best friiieeend..."

Blackout has posed:
Spider Woman can tuck, roll, dodge. But Blackout... hahahaha. He's caught in the blast. Knocked back a few yards and lands on his armored butt. He's briefly dazed and cannot really hear to answer the question.

Meanwhile, Scorpia is quite adept at utilizing her tail, armor, and blasty bits. She answers instead of Blackout. "I saw him first! Back off!"

She manages to dodge the webbing and leap across to another rooftop. She's spry and springy. Oh, and it's clear in her voice that she's just a little looney too.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica looks between the two. No answer from Blackout, but that doesn't mean much. She looks him over and sees no visible signs of serious trauma. So instead, she goes for the prize. Blasting out a web to the next rooftop, Jess gives a pull that launches her over. Then, landing several feet away from Scorpia, she remains kneeling, hands on the rooftop, apparently contemplating her next move. Unless she's not. A few seconds later, she lifts her hands and blasts a ball of electricity in the direction of the scorpion...woman...thing.

Blackout has posed:
The great thing about power armor is that it needs power. Electricity is a great power source. Especially free electricity from a woman who shoots it toward Scorpia.

Scorpia holds up her gauntlets, backs toward the incoming electricity. And when the electricity strikes, it's absorbed into the gauntlets.

Scorpia cackles and says, "Thanks! Got any more?"

Meanwhile, on the other rooftop, Blackout stands up, looks around and spies where the battle is. He mutters something to himself but also realizes that Scorpia has her back to him. Perfect. He quickly moves to the edge of his rooftop and blasts the darkforce across the gap. It lasso's her tail. So he now has a darkforce line from him to her tail. And she is a WHOLE lot stronger than he is.

What's worse than capturing a tiger by the tail... a scorpion with a really mean sting.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jess sighs. "Well shit. I /really/ need to start reading up on you assholes." She charges forward and thwips out a web toward the contact point where Blackout has her by the tail. If she can connect, she can hopefully keep Scorpia from thrashing Blackout around like a ragdoll.

Blackout has posed:
Spider Woman's web strikes true. Grabbing the tail. However, there are so many angles that can be taken with the thrashing of a tail.

Scorpia screams, pissed off. Her tail charges up. It's good that darkforce isn't conductive, because it would have zapped him good. "You people are starting to really piss me off!", she screams as she twists her body and the tail to the side. Pulling strongly in a lateral direction. Pulling Blackout off the rooftop into the alleyway below. He'll swing to the side of the wall and smack it with an ooof.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Good!" retorts Jess. She needs to work on her comebacks, too. She watches Blackout take a header off the other roof and sighs. Poor guy. She, meanwhile, is engaged in an all-out tug-of-war with the bugwoman, and thwips out another web, intent on catching the woman's legs. It is her most fervent hope that she can jerk her legs out from under her and bring her down. "You okay, Shadow?" she calls over her shoulder.

Blackout has posed:
He's holding on for dear life about 10 feet below the ledge. Swinging, or perhaps rollingn side to side along the brick wall while Scorpia whips around trying to break free of his darkforce and Spider-Woman's webbing. He calls up, "It's Blackout!" then another oof is heard as he slams into a corner.

The third web holds Scorpia's foot, is yanked, and she goes down. Already off balance, she hits the rooftop hard and bangs her head on a pipe. Knocking Scorpia completely out.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Immediately, no time to lose, Jessica releases the line on the conked out villain and runs to the edge of the roof. "Well there goes my entire library of clever Shadow jokes," Jess laments as she hauls Blackout up by his tether onto the roof, and dashes back to Scorpio to begin securing her with webbing to the point of near cocoonage. "You're BLACKOUT...no offense but you are REALLY bad at being a supervillain," she says, trying to give Scorpio another wrap.

Blackout has posed:
Hauled to the rooftop, he mutters, "Thanks." as Spider Woman darts back off to tie up the Scorpia. He brushes off his armor as he follows. He sees that Scorpia is totally out and he lets the face mask/head covering dissolve. Leaving his face exposed.

He comments as he walks within a few feet, "That's what I'm trying to fix. I mean.... I'm not a supervillain. Never really was. Well, i guess I was a villain with super powers. But that's behind me now. I'm totally trying to be a hero. And I totally suck at that."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica shrugs and shakes her head. "Well you're better at bein' a hero than bein' a supervillain," she offers helpfully, standing up and giving a little smile. "You're gonna have to get that thingamajig from her, though. I dunno where she stashed it, and I don't think it'd be a great idea for me to be in that close of proximity to her and touching her. She really, REALLY doesn't like me." Jess backs up a couple of steps from the badgirl and gestures to her like one of Barker's Beauties. "Go for it..."

Blackout has posed:
The breeze shifts.

He kneels down to the unconscious Scorpia. He says, "I saw her put it in her boot." He fishes around the edge of the boot and finds the slit/pocket. Pulls out a tiny plastic box where the chip is contained. He says, "This is it."

He sniffs. Looks around and then looks to Spider Woman with a pause.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica watches Blackout carefully, edging back a little. She wrinkles her nose. "She need Odor Eaters?" Peering down at the tiny case, she tilts her head. All that fuss for that little thing. I guess it's true what they say. Big things DO come in small packages. From the sounds of things...DANGEROUS things come in small packages, too..."

Blackout has posed:
He stands up and her levity snaps him out of the confusion and the daze that Spider Woman generates from her pheremonal glands. He swallows and then looks to the chip... realizingn that she's talking about that. "It'll be revolutionary. There's so much need for free energy in our world." He slips the chip into the sleeve of his suit and says, "Hey, so you've got contacts, right? People you can call about her?" indicating Scorpia on the ground. All tied up.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"You bet, I can have someone here in minutes to haul her in." She touches her ear and speaks softly, giving a number of letter codes and the address. "And done. Transport is on its way. Incoming in fifteen." She pulls off her mask over her head, and it leaves her hair falling in a mess of dark, damp waves and ringlets around her face. "I'm Jessica Drew, Blackout. Pleasure to meet ya."

Blackout has posed:
Hearing the good news, he says, "Oh excellent. Thanks and..." he pauses, walking closer to her and offering his right hand in the greeting sort of way, "Marc Daniels. Former scientist. Coma patient. Darkforce accidented. Former villain of superness and now... whatever I am. That's not a super villain."

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"A supervillain would have taken me down with Scorpio. I'm gonna let it slide. No need to muddy the waters for now." She takes his hand and shakes it firmly. "The Scientist Formerly Known as a Supervillain, huh. Well that's a new one on me. I've heard stuff about you though. Stuff from my own colleagues. If they're willing to give you a shot, who am I to argue?"

Blackout has posed:
He will smile, actually quite comfortable with her demenor and good nature. So he's put at ease. Even though there is something in the back of his mind that's distracting him - quite a bit - about her. But he also knows that it's best to leave things well enough alone. He listens to her words and smiles graciously. "Thanks... but I should be heading out. I gotta get this chip back to its owner. Time sensitive and the whole reward thing for timely retrieval." He breaks the glad hand and steps back. Giving her space.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
"Oh, good. I'm glad you know where its home is. I hope...I mean, I hope it can do what you say. Someday we'll both look back on today and know that maybe today was THE day that everything changed, y'think?" She gives a bit of a smile, her face flushing a faint pink.

Blackout has posed:
Behind him, a portal will open into a black pitiless void. He looks about then back to her. "Definitely. Today is the day. Thank you for helping me out and maybe we'll see one another again." He steps into the void, into the blackness.

Seconds will pass before the portal closes.

Spider-Woman (Drew) has posed:
Jessica pauses in the silence as Blackout embarks through his portal. She begins to say something, but thinks better of it. She's ALWAYS better off not saying what she's thinking. For once, she'll take that to heart, and keep her mouth shut. "Take care," she says quietly. The sound of a helicopter approaching from the south snags her attention soon enough. And now...it's business as usual.
