X-23 has posed:
Evening in New York City. Hell's Kitchen is often plagued with crime. It's one of the reason Daredevil and others make it their protectorate. But tonight, a stranger to the city was out walking. A group of gang members who tried to go after a woman have found that she had a defender...a teenager who suddenly sprouted claws out of her hands, and who's been ignoring the few gunshots they could get off. She hasn't killed any of them...yet. But that's just a matter of time. Right now with claws out, she swipes them across, cutting off one of the guns near the handle, and taking its holder's trigger finger with it.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana was out tonight for a meeting regarding Justice League business. She'd met with a contact ontop of a roof a few blocks away from where X-23 was. The meeting had ended however by the time gunshots had sounded out and by that time, Diana was over-head. Her enhanced hearing allowed her to catch the sound of the weapons being fired and it causes her to look down to the streets of Hell's Kitchen.

With dark blue robe waving around her body as she flies in the night, her dark brown hair doing much the same, Diana descends down toward where she belives the fighting is occuring, using those same enhanced senses to guide her.

The princess touches down, armored boots on building's edge and she peers three stories down to where Laura is fighting the criminals... she takes a second to visually take in the scenario below to ascertain the details.

X-23 has posed:
The gangers are looking fairly terrified. What they took to be a wee teenager has been slicing the crap out of them. There are four, at the moment. Two break and run, while one aims to shoot at X-23's back, even as she lunges for the last claws out and ready to strike.

Wonder Woman has posed:
The two who break to run are allowed to do so for the time being, because Diana spots the ultimate threat being that of the one with the gun. There's a whisper of movement from above and then the sudden presence of a golden-glowing rope that laces out and wraps around the gunman's wrist! The searing heat of the rope will seize around his gun hand and then YANK it up into the air so that his gun is ripped from his quivering grasp!

A second later and Diana lands before the man and she walks toward him, holding onto the glowing rope that is coiled about his limb. She slowly shakes her head side to side. "You have got to be kidding me." She tells him in her thickly accented English. "Shooting at a child?" Diana sighs. "You should be ashamed." She's well aware of this 'child' fending off most of the attackers though.

X-23 has posed:
Laura hears the rope as it moves, and it's the only thing that stops her from turning the guy she was lunging at into a shish-kabob. Her claws ram through his shoulder rather than his chest, and her eyes narrow. "Run." she tells him, in a flat tone. There's a *snikt* as her claws pop in to let him fall to the ground, and she then turns back to watch Diana, who is definitely the biggest threat in the area. The retracted claws pop back out with another snikt.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana doesn't release the man that she has tethered up, he just drew a gun on a child in an alleyway and though she knows that the girl has run off most of the others she's not going to let this one go so easily. No. Instead, Laura will see her binding the man up in the glowing golden rope and setting him down onto the pavement with little to no trouble. "You will wait here for the police." Diana says to the gunman in her Greek accented voice.

A moment later and she's turning around to face the girl, Diana is in her full Amazoninan armor and though its dark in the alleyway there is enough ambient light to glint off of the contours of what she's wearing, the metal bits and intricate craftsmanship. Diana lowers her chin then to stare at X-23.

"Are you okay?" She asks her, her voice is smokey in flavor, but kind hearted in tone.

X-23 has posed:
X-23 looks back, but there's almost something inhuman in her look as she considers the armored amazon. She's watching her like she's expecting a fight. And the metal claws protruding from her hand haven't retracted yet. "Fine." she says, curtly. "Only shot twice." She considers the much taller other woman. "Who are you?"

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana puts both of her hands up, palm forward, they're both clad in brown leather fingerless gloves. She intends the gesture to be one of no-harmful-intentions. After a moment Diana looks to the girl and responds. "I am Diana of Themyscira..." She tells the younger one. "More commonly known as Wonder Woman. I had heard gunshots in the area and I came to assist. I am not hurt to harm you." She can see how the girl's defenses already work, the blades protruding from her hands. "Who, might you be?" She then asks in a counter question.

X-23 has posed:
The "palms up" is sort of a universal "no fighty" symbol, and the claws snap back into X-23's arms. "They were trying to attack a woman. I did not want to let them." She answers, twin little trails of blood tricking down both hands. "My name is X-23." she states, simply. There's something odd to her speech patterns, like...well, rather like she's not used to talking much.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana can certainly see the blood from the claws that go back up inside the young one's hand. Slowly she lowers her hands back down to her sides and then just stands there with her weight evenly distributed across both of her armored feet. "X-23." Diana repeats then, giving the girl one more nod then. "That is an unusual name, if you do not mind me saying." The Princess then looks back to the man behind her who is tied up with the still glowing golden lasso. "Thank you." Diana says then, as her blue eyes return to Laura. "For saving the woman. I am quite certain that all of these men will think twice before they attempt anything so cruel again." Diana then tilts her head slightly. "You are certain you are not injured?"

X-23 has posed:
"I heal." Laura answers, as she looks back to Diana. "I've been hurt worse in training." Her background, if it comes out, is probably the easy route to a reason to need to mentor the girl. She pauses a moment, and says "...some people call me Laura."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Slowly Diana raises her chin up again after she hears all of this and then in the dim light she smiles to X-23. "Laura." Diana repeats her name. "I knew a Laura once upon a time... She was a great person." The smile remains a second longer before Diana continues. "So what are you training for, Laura?" She then has to ask her as she takes a step to the side and turns to look at the man in the rope. She's in pain because of the rope's burning sensations, he's muttering about it and complaining, but its going un-responded too.

X-23 has posed:
"Was training. Infiltration. Assassination." She answers. With her all-of-fifteen looks. She says it like someone might say "the sky is blue". "I was trained to be a Weapon." The teen watches Diana, not seeming to care about the restrained man.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana is just casually moving around and investigating some of the after-effects of Laura's play within the allyeway whilst she listens to the younger one give over this information about herself. When she says that she was trained to be a weapon, Diana then pauses and turns half-way to look back to Laura. "By whom?" Diana asks then, sounding as though there's a wealth of concern laced within her spoken words, concern for Laura.

X-23 has posed:
"I know it only as The Facility." Laura answers. "It was where I was created, and where I was trained. I was there until I left four months ago." There's plenty of blood around the area...only a little of it Laura's. There are a few missing fingers left about too, where she was busy dealing with their weapons.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Its definitely a scene that the police need to come and take care of, Diana knows that much, but she's not sure yet what to do with Laura. "That does not sound very good for someone of your age, Laura." Diana then replies as she steps back to stand before the girl a few arms lengths away. "Are you without a home now?" She then asks. "Are you living here on the streets?" Her gaze looks around the alley again, up to the second story of the industrial laundry facility building they're standing beside. "It is no place for someone your age if so..." She idly adds while looking about.

X-23 has posed:
"I have been staying at a school to the north of here. But...the situation is complicated. My mother told me to go there, before she died. But my father has no interest in me. It is...awkward." The short girl shrugs. "I am considering looking for other options."

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana isn't pleased by any of this, to think that this poor young girl has lost her mother who then sent her somewhere to get help, presumably to her father who in-turn chooses to show no interst in the girl that was... being trained to assassinate people? "I see..." Diana says through a partially clenched jaw. A second or so later she paces and her armored boots crunch lightly on the ground, the filth layers over the pavement no match for Wonder Woman's boots! "Might... I have the name of this educational facility?" She asks then, her eyes back on that of Laura. "And your father's as well, perhaps?" Diana then exhales and softly rolls her shoulders. "I am with the Justice League, I do not know if you have heard of us but we are here to help those who need it. This includes yourself, Laura."

X-23 has posed:
"The Xavier Institute. And my father's name is Logan." X-23 offers. She considers it a moment, then, perhaps disturbingly, answers "I was briefed on your group and known tactical evaluations, in case the Facility ever felt it necessarily to deploy me against your membership." Yep. Supervillain assassin training. "I do not need help. I cannot be hurt, and I have extensive combat experience." What she needs is everything else. Being a /person/, and not a weapon. She watches Diana, considering her...she may have read files, but that's different from seeing someone in person.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana knows of Xavier's and though a part of her mind had suspected it was this school in-question... being that it was north of here, and that Laura would appear to be a mutant and that--well--Xavier's is often embroiled in strange situation. "Logan." She repeats then, not knowing who that was. "Well. Whether your need my assistance or not, I think I might have to take a trip north to speak with your remaining parent. If that is something you would not mind me doing?" She doesn't want to overstep her bounds with the girl, but... even if Laura does mind it, she might call the school about it rather than go there in person regardless.

X-23 has posed:
Laura just tilts her head slightly. "I have no control over you. You may speak with whom you like." She considers a little. "The dossier may have been correct. It is interesting that you do not view it as a weakness. Your compassion." she says, matter-of-factly.

Wonder Woman has posed:
Diana softly nods her head to the young woman's response to her and then she just gently dips her chin in a nod to her. "There are many weaknesses that we must face in our lives, Laura. Compassion will never be one of them. On the contrary in fact. Compassion is a fuel for us to burn toward a better tomorrow, for everyone." With a short pause, Diana glances toward the mouth of the alleyway where two NYPD squad cars have arrived and their drivers are starting to deploy. "Laura." Diana says then again, looking back to the girl. "Should you need assistance, I want you to seek me out at my Embassy. It is the Themysciran Embassy in the upper east side of Manhattan. Simply come inside and let mey assistants know that Laura is here to see Diana." She shows a faint smile. "If you ever need a place to stay or a place to find... a little rest."

X-23 has posed:
Laura nods. "I...may do that." To be honest, in their short meeting, Diana's easily the second "nicest" woman Laura's met, and that's only from knowing her for an hour. She looks to the princess, and after a moment, adds "Thank you". People have impressed on her that you should say that.

Wonder Woman has posed:
They had a limited amount of time then because the police were coming and she knew that they wouldn't want Laura to run off... but Diana saw no reason for the girl to stay here. She'd attacked criminals who were trying to harm a woman, and that did not strike Diana as a threat to the general public, by any means. The 'thank you' gets a smile sent back in return and Diana turns toward the man in the golden rope, but her eyes stay on Laura. "You best run along now... and thank YOU for saving the innocent. Be careful though... and try your best not to harm anyone undeserving, you clearly are a very capable young woman." The two Police Officers are walking toward the alley now and pulling out their flashlights.
