Synopsis: Summary needed.
Cast of Characters: Spider-Man, Psylocke

Spider-Man has posed:
Spider-Man was having a colourful evening. He had battled the Hobgoblin, who had been attacking a Janos Cosmetics plant. The wallcrawler had no idea why, but it seemed like the Hobgoblin had been intent on blowing the place up with those pumpkin bombs of his. When he returned, crawling in through the open window to his apartment bedroom, he quickly changed out of another torn and dirtied suit, neatly hiding it with the other suits that needed to be mended or cleaned. He then threw on something casual to wear, choosing a white t-shirt with an Autobot logo on it, pairing it with a faded pair of blue jeans. He could hear voices coming from the living room, and so after he had applied some deodorant and tried to make himself look as presentable as possible, he headed out to see what was going on, and to grab something to drink.

Psylocke has posed:
Sits in the living room with her brother, each with a drink in hand. The twins are arguing again, though it is more light-hearted and teasing, so possibly a debate. Betsy, wearing designer jeans, high heeled boots and an off the shoulder blouse in a dusky blue, shakes her head as she holds her glass of scotch. "No no no. It doesn't work like that. I'm still the older twin, even if I'm in a younger body. I was born first!"

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter seeing the pair nodded his head, "hello, it's nice to see you again Betsy." Her brother gave him a quizzical look, and said something about being surprised that Peter was even home. To which Peter replied, "Oh, just got so engrossed in my studies, sometimes I'm as quiet as a mouse." He went over to the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of orange juice. He liked his roommate. They shared a few classes, and often consulted with each other on projects, studies, and so forth. It was fantastic having another keen mind as a roommate... his last one, had needed a lot of tutoring. But here, it was different. "If it's not against the roommate code, may I say that Betsy looks amazing, no matter what body she's in. And isn't age more of a state of mind?"

Psylocke has posed:
Betsy looks over to Peter and smiles, smirking over to her brother as his roommate takes her side. He always takes her side, and she and her twin both know why. Brian rolls his eyes, knowing that there is no way he's going to win this arguement now. "Laying it on a little thick there, aren't you, Peter," Brian says as he sulks.

Betsy salutes Peter with her glass. "Come join us, Peter. We're just catching up after my change and debating the finer points on how my change affects me. Like whether or not I'm entitled to my share of the family fortune, which I think is just Brian trying to be greedy."

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter didn't mean to intrude, but when invited, and given no obvious objections, besides the rolling of the eyes, from the roommate, he decides to join in. He takes a seat on the couch, next to Betsy. Yeah, he was obvious, but he was a nice guy, and if television had taught him anything, it was that sometimes the nerdy science guy does end up with the girl. It worked for Ross and Rachel on Friends. "Family fortune... I wouldn't know much about that. But, you'd have an incredibly difficult time proving it in a court of law if Brian contested it, but at the same time, she is and will always be your sister. It'd be a pretty bad move to use a technicality like existing in a Japanese woman's body as a way to get out of sharing the inheritance. But... that's just my view. Family is important; it's the most important thing."

Psylocke has posed:
Betsy laughs as Peter takes the twins arguement as actually serious. She rests a hand on Peter's leg and gives it a squeeze. "You will have to learn that when Brian and I argue, unless there is yelling involved, we aren't serious. He's just messing with me because he can." She turns to look at her younger brother (she was still born first, no matter what body she is currently in, dammit) and sticks out her tongue. "Because Brian is a first class jerk," she tells her brother with a smile, to which she is toasted for.

"So, what are you studying today? Or are you marking tests. It seems Dr. McCoy is keeping you on staff. I think it is because it gives him more time to science."

Spider-Man has posed:
The hand on his leg does not go unnoticed. In fact, his face flushes a little at the contact. The squeeze ensures that there is a rosy hue to his cheeks. "I'll take your word for it." Peter was such a good person, so kind and considerate; and ever so easy to tease. "Well, if you're going to be a jerk, you might as well go for the good stuff." As the topic turns to him, he shakes his head, "I'm actually studying growth hormones in lizards and how they might be applied to mammals. Dr. Connors has a truly brilliant mind."

Psylocke has posed:
Brian gives a very direct look to the hand that rests on Peter's knee. "Bets, must you torment my room-mate? You're going to give the poor guy a brain seizure at this rate." Betsy laughs and takes her hand away. "If a hand on his knee is going to kill him, imagine if I gave him a kiss on the cheek, she teases, looking to Peter with a smile before finishing her scotch.

Rising to get herself another glass, she looks over her shoulder. "Brian? Need a refill? Peter? Can I get you anything?" Brian quickly finishes off his own scotch and holds out the glass. "Always."

Spider-Man has posed:
"Oh, I don't think I'll be having a brain seizure anytime soon. I'm a big boy and I can handle myself." He totally missed the joke there until after he had said it. "And I think it's Brian that'll have more of a problem with that kiss." His roommate was a big guy. He wouldn't relish the thought of fighting him, powers or no powers. "Uh, I'm good with my orange juice, and good company." He was having a good time, even if it was so totally awkward to have his roommate's sister openly flirting with him.

Psylocke has posed:
Pouring two glasses of scotch, Betsy returns to the couch, handing over her brother's glass. "You could be right. Though now that I look totally different, I am curious if he's still as protective of me. Well Brian? Are you?" Brian answers by sulking and sipping at the scotch in his glass. "No comment."

With a laugh, Betsy looks to Peter. "So tell me more about this research. Lizard horomones? I thought you were chemistry. Isn't that more a biology thing?"

Spider-Man has posed:
"I'm a biochemist, with an interest in physics... so, yeah, I kind of branch into all of the principal sciences. I'm still not exactly sure what I want to do with it, but from my first chemistry set when I was a kid, I've been interested in how things work. I had the most intricate Lego constructions in the neighbourhood..." which is about as far as Peter will ever go in bragging. "Lizards can re-grow limbs. Mammals can't. Doctor Connors seems to think that they can be adapted, and I'm pretty sure he's right. It's just a matter of finding the right chemical combination to make it work."

Psylocke has posed:
Betsy listens to the talk of science, but frowns. "I don't know how I feel about that. It seems like tampering that shouldn't be done. Like cloning. Ethically speaking, just because it can be done, doesn't mean it should be done."

Spider-Man has posed:
"There is a point to that. But in that example, if we can re-grow the limb of someone who's lost it, due to accident, war, or birth, shouldn't we try and help them to lead a better life? If you were confined to a wheelchair, and there was a way to cure it, wouldn't you want that cure?" It was getting pretty philosophical, especially with the alcohol. But maybe that's why Peter was sober.

Psylocke has posed:
Elizabeth listens, slowly nodding her head as she takes in all of Peter's arguements. "Yes, but where do you stop? So you are able to help someone that has lost their limbs, but what about someone that has lost more then their limbs? With something like this, you soon find yourself presented with the problem of how much can you replace before they aren't themself anymore?"

Spider-Man has posed:
"You make a good point, Betsy. There was actually a movie about it. Bicentennial Man, Robin Williams, it was pretty good. When does someone become more machine, or artificial, than natural? Do they lose their essence? As a scientist, I lean towards their mind, their consciousness, being the determining factor. Like yourself. You're in a new body, but you're still Betsy, just, a bit different. I know you wouldn't have asked for the change, but I think it suits you."

Psylocke has posed:
Psylocke shakes her head, frowning. "But that's just it. I don'tknow if I am still Betsy. I have memories that aren't mind, skills that I never learned. My taste in clothing, food and how I treat people changes from day to day and even *I* don't know what I'm going to be like from one day to the next."

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter places a hand on her hand, initiating some physical contact. He looks into her eyes, and says with conviction. "You're going to get through this. You've been through something... incredible. But it'll all work out in the end. You have friends, family, and people who care about you. If you ever need anything, help will be there." It felt weird saying that in front of her and her brother, but he wanted to reassure her.

Psylocke has posed:
Psylocke smiles and flips her hand over to hold Peter's and give it a squeeze. "You're an absolute angel. Thank you. I know I'll get through this, but it can be a little confusing at times." Brian notices the two holding hands and rolls his eyes. "Would you two like a room?"

Spider-Man has posed:
Peter thinks a resounding 'yes' to himself, but to Brian, he shakes his head in the negative, blushing a little and pulling back, "sorry about that... just, trying to help. It is kind of getting late. Are you driving up to Westchester County tonight, Betsy?"

Psylocke has posed:
Betsy lets out a laugh when Peter's mind practically screams his response. She tries not to invade people's mind, but sometimes thoughts are too loud to miss. She gives her brother a smile and a shake of his head for being a bit of a jerk to his room mate. "I shouldn't drive. I've been drinking. I suppose I could always shadow walk, but I don't know if I can get that far from here."

Spider-Man has posed:
'Shadow Walk' Peter thinks to himself, curious about that. He did hear from Betsy that Xavier's School is connected to the X-Men, so she's likely a mutant, or was. It's confusing. He's not sure what her powers are, but something called Shadow Walking seems to be one of them. For his part, he doesn't know anything about his roommate, and hasn't shared his secrets. "If you'd like Betsy, you can sleep in my room tonight. This couch is surprisingly comfortable."

Psylocke has posed:
Psylocke grumbles as she does it *again*. She is so accustomed to being around the X-Men and her brother that not being totally open with them is foreign to her. Brian shakes his head at the offer though. "Oh no you don't! If my sister is going to sleep in someone's bedroom, it's gonna be mine. And *I* will sleep on the couch so you each stay in your own damn rooms. There's too much flirting going on tonight."

Betsy smirks over to Peter and shrugs. "I think Brian thinks we've been flirting. He hasn't seen me flirt before."

Spider-Man has posed:
"You're fl-flirting... with m-me?" Yes, she was. But Peter wasn't too good at reading the signs. He had liked Betsy before the change, likes her now too, but nothing has ever happened. Part of it is funny when Brian insists on being on the couch while Betsy's in his room. Even if one of them did want to sneak into the others, they'd have to sneak past him to do it; so much for that, if she was even interested in the wallcrawler. It was all probably just to get a rise out of her brother and tease Peter. "Yeah, you're right... well, I think I'll head to bed. Night Braddocks," and he got up, taking his empty glass of orange juice to put it in the dishwasher, and then wave as he headed off to bed. 'Maybe next time, Peter, maybe next time,' he thought to himself.

Psylocke has posed:
Laughing, Betsy shakes her head. "No, I'm not flirting. Trust me, if I was flirting, you wouldn't be able to miss it." She implants an image in Peter's head of her pressing him up against a wall, kissing him passionately as her buxom chest presses against him. She really can be evil when she wants to be.

As her brother tries to protect her honor, or is it Peter`s he`s protecting, Betsy chuckles. She did just mention shadow walking, didn`t she?
