Doctor Doom has posed:
     Latveria. Monday afternoon. about 2:00pm.

     Victor von Doom sat alone in his throne room, glancing upwards at the ceiling as his basically-daughter Valeria is the only thing on his mind. It was getting close to one of the days where he'd come on over. Thus, Doom made his decision. He sent a Doom bot to handle diplomatic matters (programmed with just how he'd handle the situation) before Doom uses his magic to craft a portal.

In the Plaza.

The magic portal would find itself open as he walked on through, with Doom appearing in all of his glory inside of the Fantastic 4 Plaza, black cloak surrounding his armored form with his mask on his face, green light shining through the eyeholes as the black hood was pulled over his head. Doom was here to see Valeria.

"I am here to see Valeria."

Invisible Woman has posed:
    The secretary was pretty busy at her work station, and sending people away since the group was a little busy at the moment. However, the magical portal in the lobby gets people's attention. Enough for the secretary to press a silent alarm, even when Doom comes through the portal. She does, act professionally. "Name?" She says cooly. "because Miss Valeria doesn't see random strangers....and anyone could be wearing your armor....sir."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom doesn't look in the mood for games. "Doctor Victor von Doom." eventually, he takes off his mask to reveal his face. "Kindly let me in." he doesn't add that he'll feed her flesh and soul to five demons if she continues to refuse or play games. He missed Valeria.

Literally one of the most terrifying men on the planet is her Godfather (and actual dad! Curse you alternate reality!)

Invisible Woman has posed:
    The secretary looks ready to refuse, when Sue comes out of the elevator. "What's the idea of the alarm?" She says just as Doom takes off his mask. This makes Sue stop, and tilts her head. "Victor. No wonder the Janice was hitting the alarm so frantically. Did you arrive by portal again? You know we have a front door, right?" She says, scolding him like he wasn't Victor Von Doom...and walking towards him, but with a smile on her face.

All of this completely and utterly derailed with a cry of 'DOOOMIE!'......loud running steps and a 65 pound tackle to Doom's left lower leg as Valeria manages to come out of nowhere and body-glomp Doom's left lower leg, which may or may not knock him down.

Doctor Doom has posed:
     Doom looks to Sue as he narrows his eyes, setting his mask on his armored hip. "I like portals. I always hated that door anyway." Doom gives Susan a look before that little lovely girl runs at him while screaming a very playful version of his name.

As she ran up and hugged his leg, it's like his entire expression changed, kneeling down to lift Valeria into his arms. "There she is. How are you, my intelligent lady?" It's like he just turned into daddy or grandaddy doom all of a sudden.

Couldn't even tell he was kinda/not really evil

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "heh. It's like your name isn't even 'Doom' anymore, Victor." Sue says with a laugh. "The only reason you don't like that door is because of what we've had to do against you, Victor. You just don't like Reed is all." Sue says softly.

Valeria giggles a lot and gets lifted up. "Hi Doomie! Glad you're not wearing your mask. You look scary with it on." She even gives him a hug on his armor. "You did use a magical portal. Can almost smell the interdimensional Alpha negative waves in the room." She then looks at Doom. "Unless you pooted." She then giggles. "I Made cookies! Want some?"

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom looks only mildly annoyed to Sue. "I know. I've broken down that door more times than I can count." He looks at SUe then. "You know why I don't like Reed. Yo ucould have married literally anyone else."

COuld have married //him//.

But, that's a tale as old as time. And an argument had on many, many, MANY occasions. Thne he looks to Valeria as she maintains her cuteness.

"I didn't, young lady. Maybe you did?" he smiles to her. "I'd love some. I didn't know you improved your cooking."

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "I've had many suitors, Victor, including you. Before and since Reed." Sue then chuckles at Victor. "You can do a lot of good though, Victor. I do, sort of, understand your hatred for Reed though. You shouldn't hate him just for being Reed though. Nor should you be blinded by your own success." She then looks to Valeria. "And she's why."

All this time Sue and Victor were talking, Valeria yelps 'K' and hops out of Doom's arms and runs to the elevator. She's back only a couple of minutes later, with some cookies, a piece of cake and a glass of milk. "Cookies are still warm. SO the cookies are better with milk."

Doctor Doom has posed:
"I know. My only regret is that I was never one of them." Victor looks her in the eyes then. An old heart rekindled again and again. Sue is one of Doom's only soft spots. Valeria being another. "I don't like Reed because of our extensive past. Not just for being himself. You know that better than anyone."

His eyes fall upon Valeria with a smile as she returns, kneeling down next to her to accept the cookie, dipping it in the milk and taking a bite. "mmmm...not bad at all Valeria. Have you considered trying to add a pinch extra of sugar?"

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "You were, Victor. Things happen." Sue says before she looks to Valeria.

Valeria holds up her fingers. "Tiny fingers, Doomie. I used an extra pinch....there's more to your pinch than my pinch." She says taking everything to a nearby table.

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom almost scoffs, but he speaks no more of the subject to Sue, despite knowing that he still has feelings for her. Instead, he focuses on his daughter of an alternate dimension. "Tiny fingers indeed little one. Maybe doing two itty bitty pinches?" Doom smiles softly to her.

"But the cookies are very good. You should bake cookies with Latverian-made dough. Best ever."

Invisible Woman has posed:
    Sue chuckles a bit. "Everything from Latveria is, apparently, the best ever."

Valeria chuckles a bit. "Latverian dough is good, but it's not the best. I use it for Sugar cookies and Choco-chip cookies. But it's horrible to make Oatmeal cookies with." At least she's honest. Of course, by now she has Doom's mask. 'RAWR! I'm da boogey.....you have a big mouth, DOomie." She has the mask near her face, but upside down.

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom looks to sue "Incorrect. Italy has the best pizza." He winks at her. Boom, such is the word of the Doom.

Either way, Victor turns his head back to Valeria as she tries on Doom's mask.

Foreshadowing much?

Doom smiles then to Valeria. "all good points. But you know my favorite cookies are sugar cookies." which may or may not be exactly true.

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "PIZZA! I can cook pizza!" Valeria says as she gives Doom back his mask. "better than the restaurants cuz it's fresh!"

Sue smiles a bit. "At least she knows you're a good guy, Victor." Sue then looks to Victor pointedly. "Victor, I do have something to ask of you. You won't agree with it at first, but I still have to ask." And she gets up and heads to the elevator.

Valeria looks as Sue leaves and heads up into the tower. "She must mean the meanie mushrooms."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom then looks to Sue as she seems to possibly believe that Doom is a good man who's willing to make the hardest choices...because he has one of the strongest wills. But he looks to Valeria, smiling to her. "I can't wait to try it, little one."

Eyes shift to Sue. "Very well." He stands up and prepares to follow her to the tower. His hand extends to Valeria. "Shall we?"

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "K." Valeria hops down and takes Doom's hand, and literally skips up to the elevator door. "I was poking around in daddy's lab, when I saw a device that was inactive. The 'Alpha Wave Detector'. So I played around with it, and while it picked up a few smaller alpha waves, there were a lot of them coming from Latveria. I know that's your kingdom, Doomie." She then looks up to Victor as she presses the 'UP' button. "Mommy will likely ask you to remove the mushrooms, Doomie. You and Daddy may have your problems, but Mommy still sees you as a friend, Doomie. She hasn't said anything to Daddy cuz......well, even I've seen your reacton to Daddy asking you to do something."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom walks Valeria to the elevator door as she tells him what she thinks her mother wants of him. Doom takes a light breath as he looks down to Valeria, giving her a smile. "You are quite smart, young lady." Doom observes, giving her hand a very light squeeze as they go up. "Friend hm?" He looks to Valeria before he looks forward. "Your 'father' and I have a deep history, even before your mother was ever a part of the grand painting. The feeling is mutual between us." he waits for the elevator to finish it's ascent, before he'll walk out the door with Valeria in tow.

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "Mmhmm. I'm just worried because of the Psionic resonance that is coming from those particular fungus...and whatever else is out there controlling them. And yes, there -IS- a hive mind....that keeps moving. So please be careful, Doomie." She says giving Victor's hand a squeeze as well.

The elevator dings and the door open to find Sue at the door. "Oh. I was getting ready to come back down."

Valeria smiles. "yay! I go make pizza!" She says running into the kitchen.

Sue watches as Valeria runs into the other room. "I'm sure you know the history of Valeria's parents, right Victor?" She then looks to Doom. "but, that's not what I wanted to talk to you about." She says holding up a holographic datapad to Doom. "This way Victor." She says taking him into a conference area. "Valeria happened to find that on the Psionic Waveform Emitter a couple of days ago." Everything on the pad checks out to what Valeria said in the elevator, including a moving hive mind. "Victor, Reed and I have a sample here in the lab that we have a shield around...one of my types of shields. It shows that you have a LOT of that fungus in Latveria, and it's resonating with something on the planet. You've seen what they've done, right? Why are you keeping them? And unchecked."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Doom nods very softly to Valeria as she runs off into the kitchen. Taking a small sigh before he follows Sue, lowering his hood as she leads him to the conference area. "Hm." Is all victor says as she tells him of the sample of the fungus that they have...and her questioning him seems to get an almost instant response.

"They have their purpose. I'm using their hive mind to lead me back to the 'Queen'. Or rather, the centerpoint. I came close to finding him once, during their initial takeover attempt." Doom crosses his arms. "They serve a purpose for as long as I need them. You're not the only one who noticed this." Doom keeps his arms crossed.

"I alone forced them out of my cities, pushed them to the very border of Latveria. I plan to kill them swiftly as soon as I find what I'm looking for."

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "Have a talk with SHIELD, then, Victor. They're tracking them the same as you are. I do remember Thor saying something about a neural pathway, or something, in space, getting neutralized, and there's a 'mind' on earth, but jumping from host to host." She then gestures for Doom to have a seat. "They do destroy the planet, Victor. Just just Latveria. It's why that other universe's Doom sent Valeria here, Victor."

As if cutting off all conversation, in runs Valeria with a plate of pizza. "here you go, Doomie."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Victor looks to Susan then. "hm. Shield is a agenda-based military faction who are just /barely/ managing to protect their own country." Victor looks to her then, turning to sit down in his seat, his hands on his lap. Very disciplined in his seating.

As Sue tells him it's why him, from aanother dimension, sent his beloved daughter Valeria to this dimension so she'd be safe, Doom takes a light breath before Valeria arrives. Accepting the pizza, he runs a hand through her hair. "Thank you, Valeria. Now, remember that thing you said you were building? Can you bring it to me?" he smiles to her, attempting to distract her so Sue and Victor can talk. as soon as Doom has his Pizza, he stands up to his feet.

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "The Psionic Waveform Detector? Sure! I'll bring it back in a bit. Just need to finish it." And Valeria is off into a smaller workshop.

Sue looks up to Victor as he stands and tilts her head. "What's on your mind, Victor? Other than what I just told you."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Victor watches Valeria run off to get her Psionic Waveform Detector. With that in mind, he turns his head to Sue. "Why do //you// have a sample? Richards doesn't have a way to directly confront or track the psionic entity that exists as the hive mind itself. He can only sense their energies. They all operate with the same energies and a similar wavelength."

He looks her in the eyes. "Do you trust me, Susan?"

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "Think about what you're saying, Victor. How many times have your experiments nearly caused destruction? How many times have you nearly destroyed New York....just to prove you're better than Reed. And...it has one of MY shields around it. And, we have a sample because we're also trying to track the hive mind. So, it becomes the word of the group that has saved the world numerous times, versus the word of someone that rules a country with a seeming iron fist, and nearly destroyed the world because of his hatred of, and the desire to be better than, one man." She then takes a deep breath. "What I want Victor, is your word. Not the word of Doom, but the word of a friend and the word of someone that has a reason to protect someone other than himself." She then points to where Valeria went. "On the life of our daughter from another dimension."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Victor listens to Susan's plea. Given, his experiments that are intended to do harm worked to incredible degree before he was stopped. When Susan drops the 'Your word against ours' logic, Doom narrows his eyes. He's a King through and through but his hard and calculating walls fall when she begs him to promise on the life of their daughter.

He glances in Valeria's path where she ran off, and his features visibly soften to reveal the soft, just core of a man who's life has been torture. A man who Susan could have, and maybe did, loved in the long past. Then, he looks back to Sue. Resolve in his eyes as he nods. "You have my word."

Invisible Woman has posed:
    Sue stares at Victor's eyes for a moment before...'Good. Because you're the failsafe of this. If Reed decides he wants to play with the sample...it's going to disappear...then it's going to be destroyed....by you." And she forcefully pokes Victor on the chest. "No ambition or greed is worth Valeria. Even if it means we have to wreck a SHIELD Helicarrier....all of the samples will be destroyed. PERIOD." Sue finishes that last thought when Valeria comes back out with the device. "Here ya go Doomie! It's not the first, but I made a second one, just for you!"

Doctor Doom has posed:
"On that, we will always agree. This fungus is too dangerous to remain here." Doctor Doom didn't even budge when she poked his chest, his eyes locked into her as his hand reached to hold hers very briefly.

"Nothing is worth more to me than Valeria..or you, for that matter." Latveria was a close second. Contact ends when he turns to see Valeria running up to him, and Doom kneels to accept her gift. "For me? Thank you." Doom accepts her gift, examining it. "Pylons perfectly aligned, particles rightly transmitted to simulate the energies of the electromagnetic spectrum." he looks up to Valeria. "A perfect design. Excellent work Valeria." an item that will be treasured by Doom. even if he won't admit it.

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "K!" Valeria giggles and she smiles when Victor says that. "Thank you, Doomie!" She says before Sue places a hand on her head. "it's time for Dinner, Victor." Then Valeria pops up again. "Oh! If you want, you can have the rest of the pizza I made, Doomie!" Sue then chuckles. "Only if you put it in a box for him, Valeria....and if he agrees."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Victor smiles. Really smiles when Valeria offers him food. "I'd like that, Valeria. Can you put it in a box for me?" He then will watch Valeria likely run off to do that.

Invisible Woman has posed:
    Valeria does just that. Sue smiles to Victor. "Thanks Victor." She says gently touching his forearm. "This entity must be destroyed, Victor. I'll help as best I can. But I don't want anything left to chance. I know you'll do it."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Victor looks to Valeria before she rubs off out of sight, his eyes look to Susan then as she touches his forearm, his hand moving to touch hers as he nods. "You can trust me." He already intended to destroy any and all traces of the fungus, but now he has additional incentive. "I will leave once Valeria returns, so I can tell her goodbye for the evening."

Invisible Woman has posed:
    "it's why you're her godfather, Victor. I know that, even if it meant fighting off the rest of the world, you would protect Valeria. It's why I gave you the incentive I did. Sure, it's manipulative, but you see why I do this too." She then pats his forearm. "Don't blow up the door on the way out, okay?" She says with a smile. "and....don't put your mask back on until you're out of sight of Valeria. She doesn't seem to mind how your face looks. I don't either, but she doesn't like the mask."

Doctor Doom has posed:
Victor seems to pay attention to her words. Nodding very softly to her. "I expected as much from you, Susan." Victor looks her right in the eyes for some time, his eyes look like he's going to make a bold action before he simply nods at her words. He'll make his way out and accept the pizza from Valeria, giving her a little kiss on the forehead before he creates a portal, walking out after saying his goodbyes. Once he was back in Latveria? He actually eats the pizza before he puts his mask back on and returned to being the King of Latveria.
