Cast of Characters: Angel, Sarah Osborn, Willow Rosenberg

Angel has posed:
Darkness was just starting to set throughout the city as the sun was finally setting. Angel had contacted a friend of his from...the past, to help in a situation for one of the new friends of the team, Sarah Osborn. Angel had contacted Willow, a member of the Scoobies, hoping she would be able to help out.

Angel was moving back and forth on the main floor of the hotel, slightly impatient. The team was away for now, dealing with a few rumors about a demon cult that was happening nearby. That seems to be the word of the day around here. Knowing how important this was, Angel had stayed behind to help out a friend, and to see an old friend once again.

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah got the call from Angel and headed over to the neighborhood, knocking on the door shortly after the sun sank below the horizon. She knows she does not have to knock, but still feels it polite to do so. She leaves most of her kit on the bike's saddlebags and turns on the security system before going it. Just in case.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow doesn't actually like driving. She far prefers the slower pace of Sunnydale, where she can pretty much walk to wherever she needs to go. But one can't just walk to the Hyperion.

After finally finding parking, the Scoobies resident witch makes her way to the hotel. She smiles, nodding her approval. Angel has done well for himself. She sees that someone is just ahead of her at the hotel entrance and tries to catch up, entering just behind her.

Angel has posed:
Hearing the knock, Angel smiles slightly, and moves to the door. Opening it wth a flourish, Angel bows slightly at the waist, curves his right hand over his chest, and says, "Please, come in! I figured it was you Sarah. You are welcome to come in, without knocking, anytime." Angel moves to the side, so that Sarah can enter. "Ah, I believe we have someone else coming as well!" His eyesite picks up Willow through the gloom and low lighting of the main entrance area of the hotel. "Willow! Please, come in! It has been too long! It is good to see you."

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Wile Sarah has met Willow once or twicve, it was long ago. Being the technical type, she had not payed that much attention to the magic angle. She greets Willow, "Greetings Willow, I am Sarah Osborn. You know my cousin Dan...you call him Oz I think. We met once...I was like fourteen or fifteen then."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow's quirky smile upon seeing Angel is almost infectious in it's cheerfulness. "Hi Angel. It's really nice to see you." She awkwardly tries to figure out if its appropriate to hug him or not, standing and floudering for a moment before finally deciding that yes it is.

She turns to Sarah and does indeed recognize her and her smile faulters a little over the extra awkwardness of this moment. "Oh, ummm. Yeah. Hi. So... how are you? I don't suppose you've heard anything about Oz?"

Angel has posed:
Angel nods, listening to Sarah's comments. When Willow hugs him, a smile touches his lips, and he embraces an old friend. "You look well." Angel says politely, and then moves into the main area of the hotel. Angel stands by the circular couch, listening but remaining relatively quiet while the girls chat. After all, Angel was just there to facilitate the meeting, not really be involved too much. Willow had the area of expertise that Sarah needs at this point.

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah says, "I live with his parents, along with my Twin brother Gabriel. We have not heard from Dan in a while, but I am kind of in the family business. I hunt monsters. I needed an expert on something left from my last hunt, and Angel thought you would be best."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow listens to Sarah politely, nodding her head. She looks confused for a moment when Sarah refers to Oz as Dan. She remembers that he was never fond of his name, hence going by a shortened version of his last name. And then she mentions the family business. Willow's eyes go wide. "So... monster hunters. Well, that would explain why you get along with Angel here. What sort of monsters? Like... werewolves maybe?" She's fishing. She is worried that suddenly Oz's own family might be the reason he's not around anymore.

Angel has posed:
Angel sits down on the couch, and listens to the girls words. After all, he was there to fasciliate, but not help, and least not yet. Angel would be willing to help, though, if he was called upon. Chiming in, Angels adds, "I thought you, or the Scoobies could help out here, if they can. I think she needs a little research help into curses. I know you are all good at that kind of thing, and your name poped into my head when she mentioned them."

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah says, "Only monsters that are causing problems...I do not hunt Vampires like Angel who live without killing the innocent or Werewolves who do similarly. A few weeks ago I helped out with a problem involving Zombies...but we will discuss that another time. Right now, I need to talk about my last case. It seems that there was an oil tanker involved in a major oil spill in the north some time back. It was repaired and returned to busines, but someone was mad enough to set a curse on it. The curse had a primarly manifestationof setting a Tupilak to destroy whowver would crew the tanker. The Tupilak was dealt with...though I am not sure what to do with the motivating skull. The bigger problem is the curse is still on the ship, and may summon other trouble now the main manifestation is gone."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow nods with relief when Sarah says she only kills the monsters that are problems. "Oh good. I was worried. There are a lot of people who say they are monster hunters that just kill anything that isn't human. I've met a couple demons that aren't so bad, actually."

As she listens about the oil tanker, she nods to show that she is listening. Even before Sarah has finished talking, Willow sits down to get her laptop out of her satchel and opens it up. "Keep going," she says, starting to tap at the keyboard as she listens. "Tupilak? Motivating skull. Yes?"

Angel has posed:
"Um. Exactly. I will say there are very few Vampires like me. I am not a souless killer. I do not kill the innocent. I don't know of any others. But I understand your point." Angel nods his head and goes back to listening to the story. Willow's words are true. "I agree. There are a few demons out there that aren't half bad." Angel stands up and says, "You can log onto our WiFi Willow. I think that's what it is called. Fred set it up and the password is angelinvestigations, all one word."

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah says, "Remind me to compare my monster database with yours later, Willow. The Primary focus of the curse was a symbol written in blood on a section of the inside of the outer hull that had clearly been replaced. This was how I deduced the accident, though I have confirmed that it happened. As You probably know Willow, a Tupilak has two skulls, the main one that of a predatory animal, and a human skull which was that of someone killed by whomever the curse was laid upon. The anger of the person's spirit over their death is used by the saman as the motivating force of the Tupilak...but removing it the construct is rendered dormant. I am not quite sure how to safely dispose of that one...but that is a secondary question. The main question is how to remove the curse from the tanker. That one is something I have not studied...but I get the feeling the company will be willing to pay as long as it is done discretely."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Well, now that Spike has that chip in his head, he's not killing either. Will, not people anyway. It's not quite like you though, as I'm pretty sure he would still kill anyone of us in an instant if he was able to," Willow explains. She nods to Angel about the wifi. "I am already in. You're password really is terrible. You are going to get war-drivers using it for the free wifi all the time. Don't worry though, I already changed your password to something much more secure, using an alphanumeric code that isn't actually connected with anyone who works here or things like that. I'll send the new password to Fred in her email."

She digs into her satchel for a moment and pulls out a pair of USB keys. "One for Fred and one for you, Sarah. It's my database. I figure the more informed we are, the better. Feel free to add to the database and share it back with me anytime you make an update." She then goes back to her searching. "The ritual of Living Flame is a safe bet when trying to get rid of any artifact. There aren't a lot out there that can survive that. Just make sure that destroying it with fire, or at all, isn't going to cause more problems. Still looking into your curse. I might have to look at the symbol to figure out the counterspell for it."

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Well that is easy enough, Sarah pulls out an advanced cell phone and opens the pictures file, bringing up an image, "I took a picture of the panel with my phone. Also...here...I drew this, it is an image of the major threads of the curse I could see with my Auric scanner. I realize it is not as good as looking at it yourself, but it is what I have."

Angel has posed:
Standing back, Angel lets the girls get into the talking and discussing of the curse and the symbology. Nodding to Willow, he says, "Thanks." Not knowing what she just said. Smiling, he can see how both girls are really enjoying discussing this investigation, and he shakes his head. Well, now that they have each other's attention, he was just the shadow in the background. Without a sound, he moves over to the counter, and looks through the books there. Angel plays with the pen a bit, and listens, vaguely, to what they were talking about. Angel was the researcher. He was the muscle. Point him in the right direction, and he would stab, slash, kill, behead, cut, or maim whatever needed to be done. That was what he was good at. Looking back over at the girls, Angel shakes his head again, and waits. Just in case they needed anything from him.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow looks over the symbol and nods her head. "You're right. It's better seeing it in person, but a heck of a lot safer seeing it this way." She arches her brows and gets excited at the mention of an Auric scanner. "Where did you get one of those? I've been trying to build one, but my electronics isn't really up to the task."

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah says, "I am pretty good at building things. My biggest problem is budgeting. Most of what I make is not intended for public sale, so I do not make a lot of money. Part of the reason I am interested in solving the ship curse...if we get a reward from the company there are a lot more things I could build. Right now, I get some pay as a roadie in a band, but I am still in school and that limits my options. Silly to stay i school when you know more than the teachers I know, but sometimes it is best to hide what you can do."

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow nods her head, multi-tasking by talking about the matter at hand while she still works on the spell for dispelling the curse. "Well, see the problem about leaving school just because you know more then the teachers do, is that you don't get the highschool diploma. And in this world, as worthless as it may be, getting anything done without one is next to impossible. Unless you're a hacker."

She looks at the screen and bites her lower lip. "Okay, we're going to need to go to a magic shop. I know the Box would have most of this stuff, but what do you have in this city?"

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah frowns, "I am an adequate hacker, but I am not exactly an expert on finding real magical shops. I could find you a dozen magic shops, but I have no way to know which ones are real unless I bring my scanner into the shop. That is kind of impolite." Not to mention a bit frightening, as the scanner is built into her goblin mask.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
"Okay, so we may need to go back to Sunnydale, just to get the ingredients we need for the dispelling spell. You ready for a road trip?"

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah shrugs, "I live in Sunnydale, did you want to rid on my bike?" She can easily carry another on her bike.

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow Rosenberg says, "I brought my car, so ... one of us is going to have to drive. I've never been on the back of a motorcycle before. It sounds ... exciting! And a little terrifying, if I'm going to be honest."

Sarah Osborn has posed:
Sarah gives a wicked grin, "You have never seen me drive in combat if you think it is only a LITTLE terrifying." Someone with the reflexes and sense of balance Sarah has can perform stunts nearly as well as a professional stunt rider. Any normal human who rode with her under those conditions would probably be scared out of their wits. She asks, "Should we call the oil company first and get permission...and settle fees?"

Willow Rosenberg has posed:
Willow smiles that quirky smile of hers. This cousin of Oz may have been unnerving at first but she kind of likes her now. She nods her head. "You probably should, yes. Just to confirm payment and the like. I'll just finish off planning this spell until you give me the word."
