The Pater Familias
Date of Scene: 22 October 2018
Location: Wayne Tower I, Gotham City
Synopsis: Red Robin investigates the Disappearance of Bruce Wayne.
Cast of Characters: Batman, Red Robin

Batman has posed:
    Bruce Wayne is missing.
It is unlike the many other occasions when this has occurred throughout his life. It is not a cover for devoting himself full-time to his alter ego as Batman. Nor is he recuperating from severe injuries. No. All that is known for sure is there was an attack on the penthouse of Wayne Tower I while Bruce was there and when security attended, he was gone. No Bruce. No Batman either. He left no word save a single line broadcasted to all members of the Family:
"Need to leave Gotham. Will return."
The police and media report that he is convalescing at Wayne Manor, but the truth is he hasn't been since. However, there are clues there for any willing detective to follow, and if one were willing to piece them together they might discover just what has become of the Pater Familias.

Red Robin has posed:
Landing on the roof and getting inside was easy, and the destruction and tape made it clear that GCPD were still investigating. Though, Red Robin does abit of sleuthing of his own as he sets his lenses to the propper frequency to find fingerprints.

"I need to setup a crime scene, I'll start by locating where Bruce was when the explosion went off, then I have to find where the explosion was, and see if I can encrypt the video feed to show me the last five minutes of footage." he says in a very detective like voice.

Batman has posed:
The Batcomputer link-up in Red Robin's cowl responds quickly, thanks in no small part to advanced computer systems he himself designed and implemented. The crime scene has been unfortunately contaminated by the cutting edge but still woefully inadequate forensic methods of the GCPD, but any Bat worth their salt knows how to work around such things. The computer takes in the evidence and finds Bruce at his desk situated not far from the window. The phone receiver has been left off the hook, and his fingerprints are on it and reasonably fresh enough to indicate he was the last one to handle it.
Perhaps the most unusual pull from the apparent evidence related to the explosion is that the window exploded outward rather than inwards. Whatever it was that exploded, must have exploded directly in front of the window. Down below, the disabled but mostly in-tact wreckage of a black helicopter without any form of registration lies lopsided against the rooftops. The pattern of the scattered debris suggests someone else was in the room, and video feeds reveal a young woman in a little black dress accompanying Bruce Wayne in the elevator. On the other side of the room, an overturned table with uneaten yakitori suggests a meal that was quickly interrupted.

Red Robin has posed:
Red Robin Ponders, then uses his link to the batcomputer after getting a good shot of the young woman;s face. "Run a scan on that woman, use the SHIELD data from oracle's last cyber raid." He says, and while that's happening lhe walks over to the window and looks at the glass. "Helecopter outside, that means that they were going to shoot, but, the blast came from the inside, Meaning if bruce's back was to the window...." He let's the thought hang there for a second as he uses his wrist mounted grapple line to scale the building and down to where the helepocter is at.

Batman has posed:
The response from the Batcomputer is swift, a beep indicating that a full profile of the young woman was already in ready access storage. Most likely indicating Bruce himself had compiled and accessed it in the last two weeks. The information is painted across Red Robin's heads-up display, revealing information about the woman in the video:
Jubilation Lee. Twenty-two years of age. Homo Sapiens Superior - a mutant. A resident of Breakstone Lake, New York. Employed as an instructor at the Xavier School. Some further investigation by Bruce links her to the X-Men and covers much of her public and not-so-public background. The timestamps on all the entries indicate that Bruce did this research the evening before the explosion at Wayne Tower.
Upon reaching the helicopter, Red Robin can see that they are mostly in-tact. The police report indicates that there were three people aboard, two of which entered Wayne Tower following the explosion and the last being the pilot. The pilot was blinded by what he reports as a 'dazzling flash' and executed an emergency landing on the rooftops. The helicopter itself is a particularly ancient Bell UH-1 Iroquois, the manner of which has seen regular use since the late 1950s. A missile launcher has been mounted on it, though there is no evidence of any additional missiles stored aboard. They have likely been confiscated by the police.

Red Robin has posed:
"Jubile, so Bruce, Mutants now... crazy cat women not enough for you?" Says the Red Robin who shacks up with a certain Space Princess, but at least he hides his fun time with her. He takes a measure of the rappel lines used to get into the building, and then measures where they would have landed, deploying his grappel line once more as he tries to follow their point of entry, as well as pull any revelent police reports on this crime.

Again, while the batcomputer is working, he uses his optic scanners in his cowl to search for footprints, disturbed objects, or even try and get the scent of gun oil, knowing that if this is a military operation, this would be the case.

Batman has posed:
The revelation that Batcomputer offers about the two intruders into the building is that they appear to not have used any form of rope to enter. They simply leapt from the helicopter's open passenger bay through the broken window. Suggesting that they had no real intention of having to enter Wayne Tower at all and improvised at the last minute.
The evidence they left behind is limited. They carried firearms - MSBS assault rifles manufactured out of Poland. What's unusual is that the guns did not seem to have a chance to fire. They wore black BDUs of an indeterminate manufacture. There are traces of what look to be plasma burns throughout the penthouse, and the police report indicates that both men suffered similar burns to their bodies and eyes. They are alive, but currently under supervision at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Perhaps somebody's idea of a joke.
Finally, after examining the missile launcher on the helicopter, it becomes clear that a missile /was/ fired at Wayne Tower but for whatever reason it did not strike its target or detonate.

Red Robin has posed:
"Typical, Bruce, even when in danger, you hide who you are." Tim says as he moves to put all the peices together.

"Buce and Jubile are talking in the upper floor of wayne tower, then they get acosted by a helecopter, before it can react, Jubile disables the pilot, causing the two others on board to leap into the bulding, she protects Bruce by taking them out as well, the missle didnt go off not hit anyone. Para Military, probably low class Mercs." Tim says as he frowns and scans the footage again. "Someone wanted people to see this, I'll need to interrogate one of the suspects." he says as he grapples back to the batwing and flies off towards the hospital.

Batman has posed:
The mercenary at the hospital is under guard, but nothing that Red Robin cannot bypass without his years of training. He lies in a hospital bed, his eyes heavily bandaged with gauze along with his midsection. One of his arms is handcuffed to the railing of the hospital bed, while the other hangs limply with a heart monitor on the index finger. The mercenary's background information is already flooding Red Robin's HUD as he approaches the room:
His name is Dzhamalay Desheriyev, a Russian national but last known address and residency recorded as Poznan, Poland. Forty-four years of age. His history, what little of it can be pieced together from information available on the internet and intelligence 'borrowed' from SHIELD suggests he is a former Chechen rebel who turned to selling his services for coin rather than for ideals. It is almost like he feels the presence of someone else in the room, as he stirs in his sleep and murmurs in slurred Chechen: "Who's there?"

Red Robin has posed:
Tim adjusts the Voice modulator and starts to speak. While a Lie, this might gain him more results as he speaks in Russian.

"You pulled a Job in Gotham, you know who comes for you, who paid you to do it? Tell me or a Mutant and a billionare will be the last of your worries." He says, a perfect mimicery of Bruce's interrogation voice, the thought of Batman asking questions scares the life out of some people, he's seen that first hand.

Batman has posed:
The mercenary immediately recoils from the voice, jostling his wrist in the handcuff as he tries to get as far away as his bonds will allow him. He winces with pain as he moves, the burns obviously still quite raw. Still, when he speaks he puts on a brave face: "I - I cannot say. We only received our instructions through a dead drop!" It's more than he told the police, the voice obviously doing the trick.

Red Robin has posed:
The man would feel a gloved hand reach for a finger, and a thumb on the perfect nerve area. "I could break your hand and you'd never use it again, you'd better give me some info on this dead drop, or my mood will sour very quickly... tell me... NOW!" Tim says with authority, quiet enough for the man to hear him, and understand that there is no lie in that voice, tim will cripple his hand because of the person who's life was in danger, though, hopefully the fear tactic will work.

Batman has posed:
    "I'll talk! I'll talk!"
The Mercenary is panicked, and the idea of losing his livelihood seems more than he can bear. He attempts to wriggle his hand free of Red Robin's vice grip as he speaks, his heartrate rising rapidly enough to cause an abnormality on his vitals. He better make it quick, as the night nurse will be here shortly to investigate.
"It's in Starling! We have a man at the Zetaport! He gets us through without a hassle and we run jobs in the States! Behind the old Postal Building. There's a brick with a white X on it. It comes loose! He leaves the jobs there on a USB job, whoever he is!"
Too far too go tonight, but certainly a lead.

Red Robin has posed:
Tim takes his hand away from the man's hand. "Good, you can rest now, but I'd suggest a new line of work if you don;t want to meet me again." He says before exiting the building. Then he decides to go on a hunch, and does somthing he knows bruce doesn;t know about. "Hack bruce's personal line, code alpha lamba 1939, search for any calls made within the last three days." He says, for some reason, this sounds like a setup job, he wouldent put it past bruce, maybe a test, or he could be completely wrong, and there IS someone targeting wayne, but that will be saved for tomorrow as he also books a trip on the zeta way for one Timothy Drake.

Batman has posed:
Bruce's phone line yields no such evidence that this was any sort of setup job, but it does reveal a recorded conversation. It was made to a voicemail facility routed to the Batcave, which would suggest Bruce himself used it as a means to leave a clue. One of the voices is Bruce, although the more chipper and charming version he puts on outside the Family. The other is a young woman, most likely the one from the video.
"Mini-Vacation!" says the female voice, caught in the middle of speaking, "It's a good day, Mr. Wayne. You'll see. I think stuff happens for a reason, even if we don't see it at the time. Maybe you needed a spot to unwind a little."
Her voice fades out, the recording not picking it up clearly enough as she obviously moves away from the receiver. Finally, Bruce answers:
"Sounds good. I think you're right. I just need somewhere to think about what's happening here. Maybe give the GCPD time to hone in on whoever it is that planned this. And Hell, I'd -"
    The call cuts off abruptly.

Red Robin has posed:
Red Robin get's into the Batmobile and ponders. "So, that proves that he didn't set it up, Is he protecting her? Or lettting her thiks she is protecting him." He thinks further on it. "Starling city tomorrow, I'll let Damian think he is going the hard work, might have to have kate keep an eye on him." He says as he flies towards the batcave. "I wonder if this has anything to do with my purchase of those Cranston stocks..." Thusly, he hacks their phonelines, since he secretly got a tech password for the company. "Being the boss is cool..."
