Quake has posed:
Skye had returned to her quarters in the Trisk, along with Clint, where they were later joined by May, and between the three of them, they had a small heart to heart about what had gone on, first in Medical, and then, back at the lab where Skye was rescued.

Of course, there was no keeping the medical bay issue off the books. Or at least not the ones Fury could see. And given that Jemma had Skye's blood samples, before and after the kidnapping, and her rescue, it was only a matter of time before the inevitable.

Nick Fury has posed:
Coming in from the corridor, data pad in hand, Nick Fury tries to not make too much noise, which for him, was silent as the...well, not the grave. That would be macabre. Looking at the medical area where Skye is being "tested" once again, Fury moves solftly to that area, and waits. The information he had been reviewing on the way here forgotten, as his deep frown reflects how he was feeling.

Quake has posed:
Skye wasn't horribly happy about being at medical, even if it were familiar faces for this. It wasn't like she hadn't tapped Fitzsimmons for the job of helping out find out about her past, and who and what she was. However, that was before all this happened, and really none of this experience was very pleasant so far.

Still, other than a slightly elevated heart rate, Skye was keeping it together. Enough that there was only the barest and indscernable without instruments humming vibration to the girl.

This wait between tests, however, was interminable, and she was slowly losing her cool.

Nick Fury has posed:
Fury watches from the background, not letting SKye know he was there yet. Looking back down at the data pad, he brings up the medical records that he had been reviewing on the way here. Interesting was one word to describe it. Shaking his head, Fury watches as Skye gets checked out for what must seem like the 50th time. Deciding to step into the light, so to speak, Fury moves.

"I know you hate this, Agent Johnson, but it is important. Agent Simmons has already told me some of the highlights from what is going on, and we need to be sure, before leaping to conclusions. Try and be patient. I appreciate that is easier said than done."

Quake has posed:
Skye startles when Fury steps in. A guilty, surprised sort of startle that skips her heart rate up enough on the monitor that someone sticks their head in, and seeing it's Fury, scowls some but the expected scolding only comes out as, "Try not to upset the patient, Sir." The 'we wouldn't want a repeat incident' was implied.

Though up to that point, Skye wasn't aware she was 'patient', making it slight longer for her to come back down, so to speak, the girl employing breathing exercises May had given her after the medical bay incided.

"What highlights," she asks miserably. "That I'm a monster?"

Nick Fury has posed:
Fury almost smiles at her response to his surprise entrance. "Fair enough Agent." Fury says with a nod. "Repeat incidents are frowned upon here in Fitz and Simmons's abode. I will try and make more noise next time." Fury stands a few feet away, and regards Skye with a thoughtful expression.

"You are not a monster. Want to give me the crib notes of what happened, so I can set a basis mark for all the information I'm being inundated with, Agent?" Fury says, his voice low, calm, and soothing.

Quake has posed:
Skye does not look mollified by the assertion she's not a monster, but she feel rather obligated to at least disseminate the information she has about what happened, as per his request.

"I went to talk to my father. I know it was stupid, and we were in lockdown for a reason, but I thought if I could talk to him, maybe I could fix this. Only I got kidnapped instead and dragged off to some underwater Hydra base."

She gives a soft, short laugh, because even she had to admit this was all sounding oh so very typical for Skye's life.

"I got a message out, and almost made an escape, but Karl is pretty.. we have to talk about him. I know a few things that either you know and I still want to talk about, or you don't know and you need to. He worked for us, and something went really, really wrong."

She doesn't dwell there, though. "Crib notes? He hit me with one of the crystals that I brought to Fitzsimmons. Well, his own. His worked. I don't know what happened to me, but I think I destroyed the lab there. And then I nearly did the same thing here."

Nick Fury has posed:
"Ah." That was for the "went to talk to my father" bit. Fury listens, and absorbs the information given. "That always ends well. Go on." Fury says, after she talks about the Hydra Base. Underwater. "Funny, I was going to laugh." Commenting on her laugh.

"Yes, we do have to talk about Karl. Continue." Hit her with the crystals. "And you don't know if anything affected you yet. Well, you are under their command now, Agent johnson. Until we figure out what this did to you. You are lucky you aren't dead right now." His tone was very severe and it was obvious he was disappointed but trying not to show it. But Skye could tell.

"Okay. You are under house arrest until this is sorted out." Fury raises a hand to forgo any complaint. "I mean it Skye." Fury uses her name. Not her title. "Simmons will report to me asap with her results, and if there is anything out of the ordinary, we will talk further. Understood?"

Quake has posed:
Skye knows they did something. She knows everything is loud and overbright. She can feel the vibrations of things though she doesn't know precisely why and certainly has no idea how to control it. Other than when she was freaking out believing she was still being brainwashed, calming herself down made all the shaking and breaking apart stop. That much she'd.. well, May and Clint had helped her figure that one out.

"They tried to break me," she says quietly. Tried. "And house arrest, you mean here in medical under quarantine, or back in mmy quarters? And no worries. May threatened to lo-jack me for real if I pulled any funny stuff. My clearance no longer includes bypassing the Trisk exits without express Level 7 or above permission."

ie: Clint, May, and Fury

Nick Fury has posed:
"I know they did. Your quarters are fine. As long as you are available to Agents Fitz and Simmons for testing, than it is all good." Nodding at her discussion of security clearance, Fury adds, "I know. All of your access will be restored soon, I am sure of it. As long as you are okay, that is what is important." Fury taps the data pad and sends the orders to Fitz and Simmons. "Now hang in there. If you have anything else, let me know." Fury turns to leave, and pauses for a moment, looking over his shoulder. "Remember, this doesn't change anything. You are still one of us, no matter what happens." With that, Fury heads out the door.

Quake has posed:
Skye's lips purse into a line of miserableness. "Are you sure about that? I mean, I'm.. I did things. At least I think I did. What if I really am a monster? We don't even know what I am."

She gives him a direct look. "You had the crystals. The original ones. Karl is trying.. was trying. I don't know if he survived taht.. oh god." She remembers. "He's not human. He's a machine. It's all blurry, but I remember bits. He wants to use the crystals on others. Find people like me. There were others in the tubes. Only the mutant survived." A pause. "I think I killed the other guy."

"Sir, Karl worked for us 70 years ago. He blames us for his wife's death. Said we let her die. He was.. I think he was like me. Computers? Hacking? He seemed personally angry about the fact you were using me."

Nick Fury has posed:
Fury stops at the edge of the doorway, and looks back at Skye, his one eye trained on hers. All of what she was saying was...interesting information, and Fury's cold look reflects what he was thinking. "A machine you say. 70 years ago...?" Fury frowns, and says, "Even I don't remember that far back, Agent Skye."

A slight note of amusement in his voice. Tiny, but there for those who know what to listen for. "What do you want me to do about it? Besuides try and track this man...whatever, down and get the crystals back." A pause. "Of course I was using you Agent. You are one of my best Agents. Why wouldn't I use you?"

Quake has posed:
Skye nods, the memory coming clear now. How he looked after she was transformed. "His face was half off. It was all wires and mainframe under it. He's not human. He /was/ human. And he worked in our computers. He blames us for killing his wife? Ilsa. Says we used him up and let her die. This is personal to him. Beyond wanting me, he wants us to suffer."

She exhales shakily.

"I think I made a major mistake. Remember that Russian comptuer system, and the defunct satellite network I advised we keep up and running so that we could keep tabs on him? I think he knew. I think he knew all along and that was his plan. He's been keeping tabs on us through it the whole time."

She can't help a wry twisted grin at the 'one of my best agents'. "Not sure that's how he meant that, but thanks. And I don't know what we do. Send someone to check it out?"

Nick Fury has posed:
Turning back to face Skye, Fury replies with a "Hrm." And a shake of his head. Placing his hands behind his back, he tales another step closer, coming into the room once more. "Ilsa." That was all he said about that. "I see." Fury's frown grows deeper. "So. He knew about your previous ops with the satellite network. Fair enough."

Fury takes a moment before responding, thinking it through. "We'll have to send someone to check it out. We can leave that dangling and out there. With you in here, that makes this a bit more difficult." Fury shakes his head. Again. "We could send Barnes. Not a big fan of that, but maybe. Or not. Not sure that is the right strategic move here."

Quake has posed:
Skye's brow furrows. "He and Nat were who went the first time. He knows the place. Not really my call. You get it, though, right? That Karl isn't jsut in the computer? He /is/ the computer. This whole time, we've been fighting something that doesn't exist outside that framework. I don't even know where to begin to figure out how to isolate him."

She just shakes her head and continues to frown. "I have to think about this one."

Nick Fury has posed:
Fury absorbs that, and nods, remembering. "Than perhaps they should try and clean up this mess." Fury looks at Skye, and says, "Yes, I see that. Well, if he is the computer, than you need to figure out a way to deal with him, while he is in there." Fury says, and adds, "You have whatever resources you need. Let's get it done."

Fury pauses for a moment, and then asks, "Do you think you can handle all of this Agent Johnson? Think on it, yes, but let's start coming up with solutions before this all comes down around our ears. I don't need to tell you how vital this is to SHIELD's security..and with that, the World's."

Quake has posed:
"Yay," Skye mutters dryly. "Not like I don't have any other crisis on my plate at the moment."

Then she chuckles.

"No worries. It'll keep me from going stir crazy while I'm not allowed out to play with the other kids. You'd almost thing I'd arranged this on purpose. Got it. Fate of the world in my hands." A pause. "And, uh.. thanks for not pointing out some of this is my fault. If we'd not tried to take down Rising Tide.." Her thoughts drift off. Even if ultimately Karl would have found a way, and they'd moved against him because of his machinations, she still feels responsible.

Nick Fury has posed:
"We all have crisis, Agent Johnson. This is only one on my plate. I am sure you can handle it. Or I wouldn't have confidence in making you an Agent Level 5 now would I?" Fury turns, ready to leave once again. Looking back over his shoulder, he adds, "All of this is a lot of people's fault, Agent Johnson. You do good work. Sometimes it all comes down around us. The good Agents learn to pick up the pieces, and still finish the puzzle." With that, he disappears into the shadows of the hallway.

Quake has posed:
Skye just laughs. "One of these days that is going to backfire on you. Understood, sir."
