Working on cardio
Date of Scene: 29 October 2018
Location: Starling
Synopsis: Chris and Kara recreate the Rocky steps moment.
Cast of Characters: Darkhawk, Supergirl

Darkhawk has posed:
Chris Powell was working on his conditioning. He didn't need to do it for Darkhawk, as his body and the android's switched when he used his crystal. But it did help with the Riverdale Bulldogs, and it just made him feel better to be in shape. So he had been running through Starling, and when he got to the Winnick Building in the Orchid Bay neighbourhood, he ran the steps, mimicking the actions of those boxing movies. Once he got to the top, he raised his arms in triumph and danced about.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara Danvers is out and about, enjoying the day. It was one of those perfect days where it wasn't too hot nor cold, although everyone had on at least a light jacket. She actually had on a play gray hoodie that she had zipped up, her left hand in the pocket. Jeans covered her legs, boots on her feet. She had a Starbucks cup in her right hand as she sipped from it occassionally. Seeing the familiar face up ahead (thank Rao for super-sight!), she headed toward the Winnick building as Chris made his way up the stairs. When he reached the top, she was standing at the bottom. She let out a "WOOHOO!" of victory for him as she smile, pulling her hand out of her pocket so she could wave. Without using the coffee cup to do it.

Darkhawk has posed:
Chris had looked positively exhausted. The celebrating was more forced than he'd care to admit. But he wanted to recreate that iconic image, even if he was the better part of 5,000 km away from where it was filmed. He was about ready to bend forward, resting his hands on his knees, but before those hands could reach the grey sweatpants covered knees, he saw Kara down below, and he was invigorated with newfound energy. He rose up, looking at little comical as he snapped back into athletic mode, and ran back down the stairs, kicking his knees up, pumping his arms, boy, he must smell foul right now. The black beanie he wore was drenched in sweat, and there were stains on his back, front, and under his arms of the grey sweater he wore. At least the black socks and sneakers looked all right. "Hi," he catches his breath, "Kara," he needs to breathe some more, "how're," yep again, "you?" He asked finally.

Supergirl has posed:
There is no way to avoid giggling. "Better than you, it sounds like. Breathe. Take a moment," Kara suggests as she watches him with a little bit of concerned at the amount of huffing and puffing going on. The Big Bad Wolf would be proud. "I'm doing well. Was in town doing some window shopping then just wandering around to see what I can get into." Translation: Waiting to see if someone needed help. "You recreating Rocky?

Darkhawk has posed:
Chris does as Kara suggests. The breathing is heavier than usual, but that's normal for someone who's been engaged in the kind of exercise that he has. With a twinkle in his eye, he does his best Sylvester Stallone impression, trying to deliberately slur his speech a little, "yeah, well, you know, I figured, it was such a nice day, I should do some running. So I ran this way, and that way, and then here." Maybe he was doing more of a Tom Hanks in Forrest Gump impression. He might have mixed up his movies. "Did you buy anything nice? I think you got something real nice." Yeah, he was still doing it. Then he playfully moved towards her, "come on, give me a hug," though he probably wanted a kiss. Only problem is, with how he smelt, she probably wouldn't want to get that close to him... until after a shower.

Supergirl has posed:
He was overestimating his level of stench. He had a little bit of that scent of exertion but he wasn't stinking like he would be a few hours from now if he didn't take a shower. Kara did avoid the hug though, even as she leaned in for a quick kiss. Mainly because she didn't want his sweaty armpits rubbing on her clean clothes. "Back it up there. If I want to be sweaty, I'd be the one running." She does shrug at the question though. "Nothing really has caught my eye so far. I figured I'd head home after I grab something to eat."

Darkhawk has posed:
Continuing with the Stallone voice, Chris says, "maybe when you want to get sweaty, I could get sweaty, and we could be sweaty together." He did appreciate the quick kiss, even if she didn't want his sweat stains rubbing against her nice clean clothes. Returning to his normal voice, since the Stallone one wasn't nearly as good as he had hoped, "I was thinking I'd head home, shower, change, and then get something to eat. Would you like to join me? We could order a pizza?"

Supergirl has posed:
"Hawaiian? I'm craving some pineapple for some reason," Kara said as she reached out her free hand. She twined her fingers with his as she gave a nod. "I mean I'll settle for any sort of pizza. But that would make me happy tonight. We've got a few hours so could maybe do a movie too. Although I have no idea what we could watch this time." They tended to enjoy their movie nights so it was older movies they had to resort to since many of the newer ones they had already seen.

Darkhawk has posed:
"Sure, Hawaiian it is." Chris preferred a New York Deli pizza from Panago, which included pepperoni, Genoa salami, bacon, ham, spicy Italian sausage, mozzarella, and cheddar, but Hawaiian was his second favourite. He smiled at how she twinned her fingers with his. He liked it, and his cheeks flushed a little at her gesture. "And a movie sounds cool. Have you seen the Terminal, an old Tom Hanks film?"

Supergirl has posed:
"Haen't even heard of it," Kara admits as she starts to lead him along the sidewalk. They'll have to get a cab or call an Uber to get home in any sort of time but she isn't in a hurry right now. Or if they do get in a hurry, somewhere out of sight and they could just head home as-the-crow-flies. Or the Supergirl and Darkhawk.

Darkhawk has posed:
Chris could use the cab, uber, or super travel more than Kara. He kind of over did it. He didn't mean to, but he'd ran halfway across the city, or so it seemed to him. Deciding to do it the old fashioned way, also because they saw an available cab on the street, they took one, heading back over to Riverdale, and their homes, which were on the same street. Chris paid for the cab with money he'd earned from a part time job. After paying, they hopped out. "So, want to set things up in the basement while I shower, or come over after?"

Supergirl has posed:
"I'll prep while you shower," Kara offers as she heads through the house. They've been to each other's homes so many times, it's like they are part of the family now. "I'll get the pizza ordered too. On me since you paid for the cab."
