Location: Xavier's School, Westchester, New York
Synopsis: Scott Summers and David Akenda have a talk about letting go of anger
Cast of Characters: 207, Cyclops

David Akenda (207) has posed:
David had informed Psylocke about the visit from the League assassin, and he would be the first to admit that yes he should have told the staff and teachers, but with all he had been through and the off given to him. It suited his desires, but in the end his honor, and compassion for those who have taken him in. If the League of assassins found him. Chances are the Kaji Clan is not far behind and thankfully it will be unlikely that the LEague will expose him.

That had been the first day he had gone out into the open since his arrival. And he was found by an assassin to recruit him, and it's made him withdraw into the mansion once more. The desire to hide to seek shelter.

But he has been using it to good time in the library learning and researching various topics for his classes. His private education has given him a High School level of knowledge and his grades are very high considering he has been on the run for over a year.

Cyclops has posed:
There are very few students around thanks to the between semesters bit. There are some special classes still going on, allowing for thos that want to continue studies while the main curriculum is on hold. It makes it a lot easier to go to the library without getting the stinkeye. Scott is well aware he isn't liked by most of the student body. He's a teacher so he's treated with the respect due one, but he is a hard teacher who expects his students to apply themselves in the same way he always did. Realistic? No.

Entering the library, he pauses a moment to scan over those present before turning to head over toward the left, intent upon finding a certain book that he needs for his own personal studies.

David Akenda (207) has posed:
When anyone enters the Library David is in the perfect position to see who it is, with his back to one of the bookcases on an inside wall. And When he seets Mr Summers he will stand up placing a mark in his book. And closes it. "Mr. Summers Are you busy?" he asks respectfully. In Japan Teachers are to be respected no matter what. Some are harder, others are more leniant. But it all serves the perpose for handling others in positions of athority.

He knows that Scott might be upset with him, both for the Danger room, and the fact he waited so damn long to speak of his encounter he asks. "Has Ms Braddock spoken to you about the encounter I had the other day?"

Cyclops has posed:
Hearing the voice, Scott stops his forward motion. He turns around to face David, taking a couple of steps over toward the table the boy is beside. Although he has heard about the situation, he doesn't answer immediately. He wants to hear the story from David's lips, a better way to get a feel for things. Well, unless one is telepathic so Betsy probably got a better idea of all the details than Scott ever will. It doesn't change that Scott wants to gauge things in his own way.

After the Danger Room session, he has purposefully given David space. Sometimes people need it to cope with the worst moments of their life. Sometimes they need it to focus. He can relate. Though he probably should've approached the boy sooner to be sure he was alright, he made a choice. Some would probably say he was heartless, cold, for not trying to comfort the boy in his time of weakness. Scott thinks of it in a different way.

"She mentioned something but I would like to hear the story from you," he says finally.

David Akenda (207) has posed:
"I was down by the lake when I was approached, Wasn't sure how close to the edge of the school ground. I wanted a place to meditate and some isolation. That's when he approached me. A Member of the LEague of Assassins. LEad by someone I heard as Ra's Al-Ghul."

"Don't knock then these guys are the real deal. Ms Braddock says he is a Man who doesn't know when to die. And I was very tempted and flattered to be offered a place with in their ranks. I came back as quickly as I could but was torned between here and their offer. In the end I realized that all I would be is an asset to them. I am not yet ready to trade what little honor and dignaty I have left to me, to become a murderer."

In David's mind right now eradicating the Kaji clan is not murder. it's justice, after all the Emperor did order their blood line erased. "And Knowing if they could find me here, The Kaji clan won't be far behind. By the time I resolved to tell someone, it was already the next day. I spent all night without realizing it arging with myself over what happened. I am sorry." he says lowering his head in a bow to Scott.

Cyclops has posed:
While David speaks, Scott remains silently. Once or twice he nods, to show that he is listening and noting what is being said but he doesn't interrupt, doesn't ask questions. Only when the young man finishes does he speak. "Thank you for telling me personally. I respect that." Some would just let the news go through the teacher network. That David felt he should speak personally about it shows a lot about his character. There is a lot of anger in the boy, a lot of pain. He still hasn't fully grieved despite his breakthrough the other night. A hard lesson that. Maybe too hard. Scott's jaw clenches a moment as he wonders if he pushed too much but he doesn't dwell there, focusing back on the now.

"You have nothing to be sorry for. You needed time to focus but I would have appreciated the news sooner only because of the danger he may have presented for the other students and staff here." Not really a reprimand by his tone but he is hoping the boy understands that. Yes, David seems to understand that there is a danger to him and thus to the other students but timeliness is important in such things. ""I have no doubt the League is real. I also have never heard a good thing about them. It's a tough choice for you. They are offering a chance at what you want. Maybe a better chance in some ways. But I hope that what we offer holds more for you. A chance to grow, to become a full person instead of an instrument. Choices. Instead of being on their path and at their bidding."

David Akenda (207) has posed:
David finally just seems to lift up and seems so tired of it, all of it is emotionally draining for him. Leaning against the bookcase. "I don't know Mr. Summers, sort of altering my face, my finger prints, my powers. I don't know how to escape this situation without resorting to blood shed. I would love nothing more than to leave the Kaji clan wondering about me and my survival, wondering how I escaped and when in the future my clan will re-emerge and deliver vengence upon them."

"There is more to this than just my blood lust. According to what I understood, The emperor ordered their Clan's destruction down to the last child. The Kaji clan were invoking Dark Arts, forbidden rituals and having forbidden unions with creatures of the underworld. In effect breeding with demons."

Cyclops has posed:
That does not sound good.

After the episode with the Flowers from Hell (tm), or actually Limbo, he doesn't even want to think about someone breeding with creatures from demon dimensions.

There is no way to end the threat unless they are all destroyed. Or David dies. So changing everything about him while staging his death? It has potential. But is it possible?

"I'll have to talk to Dr. McCoy," he says as he considers teh best source of information and ability for such a task. "See if he has an idea of how you can disappear. If anyone knows a way, it'll be him. It might end up being rather elaborate. If the assassins thought they killed you, would that end it? Are you the last of your line?"

David Akenda (207) has posed:
AS he thinks, "They have been working on this since the end of world war two. I have no siblings. My mother had trouble conceiving, no doubt due to the poisons and drugs slipped to her by Kaji. She had three miscarragies resulting in still born, I was 5, 8, and 12, My grand parents on my father's side are dead. I don't even know about my mother's side." he says. "My father said that before he was murdered he and I were the last of our line. And never once did he suspect his best friend, my godfather!" and he hits the bookshelf behind him with his fist. "I called him uncle, I sat on his knee. Can you imagine how evil he has to be to do that to us?"

Cyclops has posed:
"Easy on the furniture," Scott says automatically. They are still in a library and there are others around, even if they are far enough off not to be hearing the conversation. If they were, Scott wouldn't have been having such a private discussion. And the powers of the ones present won't allow them to eavesdrop from a distance. Good to know the students abilities.

I have known a lot of evil in my life," he says with a bit of a shrug. "One of the Professor's oldest friends is also one of our greatest enemies. We have team members whose own parents tried to kill them or manipulated them so they would do evil acts. There is no limit to the depravity that people--mutant, alient or human-- will commit. It's a hard lesson and you learned it early."

David Akenda (207) has posed:
"Appologies. I am also very sure that they will want my head and sword, Both of which I am rather attached to at the moment. They would need undenible proof that I was dead. And if Kaji has a sample of my blood and his clan still practices the Dark Arts might be able to know I am still alive. If they do their skills have faded to the point they can't simply see my location. Or I promise you they would have used a sniper to get me through a window." he says.

Cyclops has posed:
"Then I guess that idea won't work," Scott mutters, scrapping the hint of an idea what was forming. Magic is an area that he doesn't like or get involved with. But they have someone in the mansion whose very name matches that particular skill set. She may have ideas too. Illyana is added to the list of people to consult, right after Hank. "I'm trying to come up with the simplest way that won't involve you having to go somewhere you might never come back from." Emotionally, mentally. To kill that many people would take a toll on anyone.

David Akenda (207) has posed:
Finally David will just feel defeated. "And the most ironic thing is, My father even told me that he did not hold what happened all those years ago in high honor and said he had been forced to kill someone who attacked him with a blade. He said it changed him and that I should avoid it. For once you do choose to kill, you cross a line that you can never take back. You loose something of your self. A line I crossed in your Danger room. I don't regret killing the similation of Kaji, and would do it again so much slower. Don't pull that on me again please. "

Cyclops has posed:
"I had to know what you would do," Scott says, not sounding happy with his decision but neither is he going to be apologetic in tone. "It isn't something I would need to repeat but it was a necessity for analyzing. You were placed in the room in a team scenario. In that scenario, I wanted to see how you worked alone and with someone else. At first you and Tatum worked well together. You tried to use each others abilities to better deal with the threats." Behind the glasses, his eyes narrow. "But I needed to know if you were faced with the one person you hate the most, what you would do. I learned that he is your weakness. He is your trigger. With his appearance, you will forget anyone but him. You will abandon your teammates. You will leave them to die in order to achieve what you want." His tone still isn't harsh. Clinical, a report of information, but the reality is there. "Until you learn to control that, you will be unable to be counted on in a group combat situation. It is something we need to work on." So while he is not approving of the fact, he feels it is something that may be able to be conquered through training. If David is willing to do so. That's the key to everything.

David Akenda (207) has posed:
As DAvid listens he says, "Once the second group came out I began to fall into mindset of survival. I have been forced to fight many KAji assassins more than just two at a time before I escape JApan. After the giant Robot, when the ninja came out. I locked me into survival mode, I forgot it was a simulation." Then looking to Scott he wants to ask something but doesn't. "I also left myself incredibly open to attack from ranged such as a sniper round."

Cyclops has posed:
"In all honesty, in a combat situation, there isn't a lot you can do against a sniper," Scott says. "The only way would be to always be in motion or behind cover which isn't completely realistic at most times. And there are plenty of snipers out there who could still get their shot, even when their target is in motion." He pauses a moment, thinking before he speaks again.

"You are supposed to lose yourself in the simulation. If you didn't, the training wouldn't be as effective. That's what it's immersive. I knew throwing that many assassins out would likely be a trigger. Again, I had to see what you would do and what we need to focus on. For you, it's to learn one big thing." If David allows it, Scott will place a gentle hand on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze.

"You aren't alone anymore."

David Akenda (207) has posed:
In japan one doesn't show emotions in public but he has been on the run for so long and with out a fatherly touch. Something about Scott reminds him of his father, if in disapline only as he can't resist it he pulls in close to scott to hug him nice and tightly. Tears running down his cheeks as he swallows. "If you are going to enact a plan to make me seem dead, it has to be soon, if they find me here first. They will suspect the school might try to hide me elsewhere in the world, once they learn it is a school full of mutants." he's been thinking all of this

Cyclops has posed:
Alright, that was unexpected. He figured a squeeze, if the boy even allowed the touch, which he wasn't sure would even happen.

Scott isn't one to show affection in public. He isn't one to show affection period. He's considered a pain in the ass and a bit of a jerk. But when David hugs him, Scott just slides his arms around the boy's back gently and returns the motion. It's a gentle hug, at odds with his hardened exterior and attitude. When the boy steps back, Scott gives him a nod. "I'll be talking to Dr. McCoy as soon as I can get him out of his labs. Illyana for the magic side of things. See what they have in the way of ideas. If we can find a way to make you disappear, we will."

David Akenda (207) has posed:
Finally Relenting as he Let's scott go. "Something about you reminds me of my father is all. You are almost as disiplined as he was." With a smile he wipes his eyes as he exhales. "So is there anything else you require of me sir?"

Cyclops has posed:
Scott doesn't groan aloud but for a moment, he feels the urge. Twenty-five and he's already turned into an old man, being likened to a father. If he could optic blast himself, he would for that one.

"Thank you," he manages to say to what is probably meant to be a compliment from the boy. "Not at the moment. We are going to get you into a regular Danger Room schedule. Have you start learning to work with others, try to get you post those triggers so you function better in a unit." He turns his head, focusing in the direction he'd been going when he first arrived. "I need to see if I can find my book. Someone borrowed my copy I own and seems to have lost it. I have another on order but until it comes in, library has to do." He glances back to David, giving another nod. "I'll let you get back to your studies."

David Akenda (207) has posed:
as he knows that look and he smiles. "Well I will do much better I promise." He's not going to let himself loose it again like he did. But he will allow Scoot to leave first before returning to his studies.
