Daredevil has posed:
The East River Marina is quiet at midnight. A pair of security guards patrol the lines of pleasure craft and yaughts moored there but outwardly there is no other movement. However sharper eyes, or keener senses can see the truth, the place is crawling with Hand ninja, clining to the shadows, waiting, providing cover for what is to come.

All across the city the authorities are kicking down doors, tipped by SHIELD to the activities of the Hand and their allies. Now the word is that Chiko Onishi, local heads of the Shinkoda-gumi are fleeing the city ahead of the raids, aided by the Hand. Not satisfied with just escape they're taking with them hostages from key the families and companies under their thum., to maintain their grip on power while they skulk in some distant hideout till the heat dies down.

They arrive in a makeshift motorcade, a trio of black sedans and a white cube van. They come to a stop, and the doors open and men step out, wearing suits, with glimpses of elaborate tatoos showing under sleeves and around their collars; they're armed with blades an guns. fighting tong, armed with blades and guns. The heads of the gangs come next, dressed much the same, with the confidence of people used to authority. One of them, Onishi, nods to the van and the men move back to open it.

The men do as their told, opening the van and drag their captives into the light shoving them towards the waiting pier.

From his perch with his allies, Dardevil flinches at the prisoner's cries, some of them are just kids. He turns his head towards the others, "Okay, so the info was right, how do we want to do this?"

They had a few minutes before the men and their prisoners headed to the docks.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
"Hrm," Kate mutters under her breath. "Still only counts as one night, dude. But looks like you're right. We have a plan of attack?"

She's dressed in her trademark purple (shut up! She's still the better Hawkeye! And besides, it looks better on her than him), and has her bow at the ready. While Matt checks things out, she's considering her first shots.

Dragon has posed:
Dragon sighs softly as he hears the cries of those being captured and traps. His eyes ever forward. "It is your mission, Daredevil. You know how we must act." But the grandmaster says nothing more than that, but he does hum. "I do, however, suggest that our friendly archer keep a safe distance, eliminate their numbers one by one. Strategically."

Then the Dragon is silent, carefully watching on as the young ones get stuff done.

Jinx has posed:
In another part of the docks, there is someone that can't be seen....rather literally. The unseen one doesn't speak, but she does mirror the guards and the prisoners, from a another point of view than the rest of the group, likely the other side. She moves the most with the crashing of the waves....to mask her steps.

Deadpool has posed:
"WELL, if I claim seventeen of them, would that be greedy of me? Everyone wants to beat them up, I know. Selfishness is bad in a team," Deadpool frets from the back of the group. He's stopped pacing and climbs the perch Daredevil is using -- to try to sit with Daredevil. There isn't really enough space there, which possibly is making the closeness and proximity a little bit awkward. Or really awkward. "Hi," Deadpool says in a low voice. VERY awkward.

"Sixteen? Or I'll just take the children and whoever is near them," Deadpool proposes. "In a 'come with me if you want to live' way."

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Zeitgeist listens to the various thoughts of the area... most are focused on the task at hand and a few... a glance to Deadpool, are a bit farther off. He looks back to the ninjas, "They don't want to kill their hostages so.. we have that to our advantage. They are however scared and that breeds rash action. The ones that can quiet can take out the rear guard, the people with range can take out those they can take without alarming the rest. And those who can't be quiet... can attack once the first wave is down."

Daredevil has posed:
Daredevil offers a nod of thanks for Dragon's confidence, then listens to the others.

"Well if you want sixteen, we can probably spare you that many. Besides the guys by the cars, theres," he concentrates. "Oh another twenty ninja out among the boats," he offers with a tight smile.

Realizing everyone was more or less thrown together last minute to respond to the tip, Daredevil adds, "We'll do a mixer or something later, but right now, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Dragon and Zeitgiest," he says pointing to each in turn.

"As for the plan, Hawkeye, go for the leaders, stop them from getting to the boats. Dragon, Z, go for the hostages. Deadpool, think you could manage being a distraction to get Dragon and Z into place? As for me, I'll play our reserve, fill in where I'm needed."

Down below the leaders start down towards the boats, and the Yakuza start dragging their hostages away from the van. One of them, a kid, manages to wiggle free, and makes a break for it, shouting.

One of the leaders turns back. <Shoot him!> he barks in Japanese. Their journey to the boats halted for the moment.

One of the Yakuza raises their gun.

Jinx has posed:
Just as the Yakuza raises his gun, the *SHIING* of something cuts through the air....and through the gun. Cutting it clean in two, and completely unfireable. The next moment, the guard drops in a heap....on top of the gun that was cut so neatly in two. Even with the other yakuza looking.....there doesn't seem to be anyone there......

Dragon has posed:
Richard always was extremely confident in his students. Current or former. But just as Murdock told them all the plan, he bows his head softly. Done deal. "It will be done." Dragon's eyes look to Zeigeist. Looks like he can handle himself.

Theeen it looks like things will go bad. "I see our plan is already coming undone by a hidden element." A sigh from Richard's lips.

Deadpool has posed:
"Distraction? I will distract all OVER this fucker, leather buddy. Ready-set-----hold-onto-your-butts.... SQUEEZE.... Okay-GO!" Deadpool exclaims in stage-whisper volume. Hopefully there was no more conversation, because he's going. Or he was. He drew one gun, posing dramatically-----

"Hang on. Technical magical teleporting difficulties," Deadpool says, poking at his belt with other hand. Nothing is happening.

"I swear this doesn't happen to me often." Poke poke. He scratches his head near his ear with a gun barrel, and then applies the stock of the gun barrel to the front of the belt, and immediately disappears with a 'zzzhhhorrh' of teleporty-sound.

The confused guards can have a new target. To the left and near the boats. He has minimal cover, just a side of a van. And he is facing the wrong way. Deadpool flips around, and waggles his gun, other hand dropped to hip. He looks at the guard. Oh. "Before you shoot, know, from my heart, that it wasn't me. My count remains at zero. And besides, I was told NO KILLING," Deadpool points out to them, one hand raised to finger-waggle at them. "Although I actually can't tell if he's dead from here. He's probably fine. If you want a time-out to check on him I'm cool with it."

Professional level distraction. You paid the big bucks for it.

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Zeitgeist doesn't really need to read minds when it comes to Deadpool, the animal instincts of a 14 year old boy probably would suffice in understanding the man. The situation does indeed breakdown from some controlled attack, but that's expected in these things. He begins to run along the shadowy parts of the docks towards the hostage train and their 'hosts'. He pulls from his back two swords with black carbon blades that cast no light. He hopes the distractions do indeed help at least his objective.

Daredevil has posed:
The Yakuza suddenly being cut down was not something Daredevil had anticipated. But that and Deadpool did the job of distracting them.

The Yakuza by the cars, at first look everywhere and then when Deadpool arrives, they focus their attention on him. Cutting him off mid-speech with a shout of <Shoot him!> from one of the leaders.

Then the leaders start making a hasty exit for the docks. Sounds like they might have heard of Deadpool before.

As for Daredevil his senses sweep for whatever cut down the Yakuza as he says to Dragon and Z. "Head down see if you can part them from the hostages."

Then to Hawkeye, "Got anything to stop them from getting to the docks?" he asks jerking his head in the direction of her quivver.

As for the fleeing hostage, he keeps on fleeing towards a warehouse ducking down in the shadows.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate /had/ been about to take guy with gun one one out with an arrow, but when he drops, she's left frowning. "We might have company, DD." She nods with her chin to where guy went down, but she's not got sight on anyone else to pick off.

She's got something to stop them from getting to the docks, though. "Grapples, or the like work for you?" She can snare the runners just as easily as use the things to climb the walls. "Smoke. Less useful for us. Blunt arrows. You know," she picks out where she's going to shoot. "You make me seem possitively loose and fancy free with that no kill rule. I get where you come from, but people thought my panties were in a wad." There's no ire in her voice, though. In fact, she seems utterly amused. "How'd you get the talkative one to play nice?"

Dragon has posed:
this all got really bad really fast. But then again, Yakuza being cut down was not one of the things that Richard thought would occur. Welp...Guess he'll have to go help make sure that Deadpool doesn't cut down anybody else. A glance given to Z, before Dragon will start to get on the move. Instead of being a boss and jumping off of the building, Dragon just takes the stairs in a quick and orderly manner.

No killing. Works for him.

Regardless of whether or not Z was with him as he moved, Richard tries to make a b-line for the hostage truck...but attempts to neck chop a dude into unconsciousness on the way there.

Jinx has posed:
Now that all of the Yakuza's attention was on Deadpool, the cloaked figure started taking guards out on the periphery. A gun was cut through and the muffled yelp of the same guardsman might catch Daredevil's sensitive ear....but then silence for about 10 seconds.....then the light sound of the guard's heels on the dock....just before a soft breath is let out. It's quite obvious whoever else is out there, is taking VERY good care not to be seen....and is quite well trained.

Deadpool has posed:
"It is super tacky to drown out somebody's monologue with gunfire!" Deadpool yells over the resulting guns that answer his arrival. He spun backwards and aside into the cover of the van, and has begun to open fire in return through a window and over the hood, in his overly accurate but erratic way. There's no worry: he's having fun. He doesn't bother to look for mysterious Kimiko-style people he hasn't seen yet. There's enough other targets.

"Remember, you brought lots of ammo. You don't have to keep count unless you want to. Is each limb worth points? Let's go with they are," Deadpool chatters to himself. He also peeks into the drivers seat of the van. There could be keys. One never knows. He drops back down when a bullet graves his peeking peeker, though, rolling neatly to the opposite bumper of the van and shooting back. "Six, seven, thank you for lining up for me. Oh, crotch shot, bonus points. Did I mean to do that? Yes. Like a headshot but without the killing. Just killing the next generation a little. We probably have plenty though, and you do not look like a family man. Well. Not now. You look more like the guy who'd forget his child and we'd end up with a Home Alone scenario. Which I argue is a great Christmas movie if you don't have Die Hard."

    Deadpool will distract! Carry on.

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Zeitgeist is indeed following Dragon.. or more precisely moving along with him. He might take the stairs or he might not.. The 'no kill rule' has him sheath the swords he just took out... he pulls two tonfas from under his jacket.. How many weapons does this guy have? He watches Deadpool from the point of view of the Yakuza.. he's definitely good at keeping them distracted. He speaks a quiet phrase to Dragon whose nearby him, "I got your back no worries."

Daredevil has posed:
"Grapple Onishi. Blunt arrows for the rest, he's the key to all this and we can't let him get to the boat," Daredevil says, pointing towards where his senses tell him the gang leader's standing. He'd crossed paths with the man before and Onishi really loved his cologne.

Then as to the talkative one? "Money. Lots of money. And keep an eye out for whatever took out that Yakuza," he lets his senses in trying to find /anything/ to give him a clue of it's location. "Can't pick it up with my senses." His voice was tense. Very few thinges eluded him like that.

The gunfire provides plenty of cover for Dragon's casual approach. The guy goes down in a heap at his feet, unfortunately, his prisoner turns and lets out a surprised yelp. Another guard turns, raising their gun at Dragon.

Two more join him.

From up on the roof, Daredevil tilt his head. Hearing a faint noise through the gunfire down by the docks. He turns his head to Hawkeye. "Got things up here?" he asks. "I think I found our ghost." Or where they were a few seconds ago.

As for Kimiko, from her new position, she can see the ninja gathering on the docks, ready to rush up to support the Yakuza.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate has her target now, and while she's allowing a small amount of attention to her surroundings, Onishi is her focus. The others can deal with the rest. That target, however, is hers as far as she's concerned.

First she has to target him, of course, but she's got a few arrows with his name on them. One is most definitely a grapple. With enough attention on the side to make sure he's not rescued mid operation. That would be a bummer. She's got blunt arrows to make that less likely. Not being a fan of that whole, you bring two friends, and they bring two friends, and so on and so on... kinda deal.

"Got it. You go play on the streets. You're distracting me." Grinning as she says it.

Dragon has posed:
Richard Dragon keeps moving after his target goes down, his eyes darting to every corner of the place, bullets flying everywhere. Then he sees that gun pointed at him. At consideration, Dragon expands upon his options. He has a million ways of killing an individual. But...the no kill rule is in effect. He'll have to resort to 50.

With a quick strike, he aims for his stomach, hard enough to knock enough air out of him to make him crumple over. By this time, he's hoping to be at the hostage car. Well, that wasn't so bad...

Jinx has posed:
Kimiko could see the ninja gathering and, knowing their numbers would overwhelm the people on the dock, she made her move. She still didn't drop her camouflage, but she DID drop a smoke bomb.....right in their midst. They definitely couldn't see, not could Kimiko, but that was where their training varied.....

Made evident by one ninja flying out of the smoke cloud and into the water off the dock. Other sounds of fighting can be heard, soon after either muffled or stopped by the sound of air getting blasted out of their lungs. Just from the sounds, to those who can hear it, she's also disabling, rather than killing.

Zeitgeist (Julius) has posed:
Zeitgeist is not in the slightest intimidated by the number of opponents or the ninjas he's sensed for a while... actually that is what the tonfas are for... He leaps at one guy who he subdues with a tonfa to the chest while his second tonfa disarms another guy of his pistol... the first tonfa swung at a third guy who take it in the head.... He tosses the pistol away from the guy he disarmed with the same tonfa. "Hopefully your ninja brethren are more skilled then you.."

Daredevil has posed:
Dardevil points, but with all those Yakuza captains milling about Onishi isn't obvious until he barks orders, and two of the captains take swords and rush back towards the fray, Onishi, himself has a sword, which he draws tossing the scabbard to one of his men. He looks at the fight, considering it, but turns and with purpose begins to walk down towards the boats.

Kate has her shot.

"Fine, fine," Daredevil says with a grin, then whipping the cord from his baton, he decends to the ground and rushes towards the docks. If he wasn't sure where to go before he was now. He rushes towards the smoke, aware of it faintly, but able to detect the others inside of it, including their mystery guest. They weren't so much a presence in the smoke, but human shaped void followed by the sounds of fists and feet hitting flesh.

The ninja for their part know their business, and try to back out of the smoke in an orderly fashion swinging blades towards whatever strikes come their way trying to box in their unseen opponent. Taking a gamble. Daredevil hurls one of his batons at a ninja in the center of the group, knocking him back and breaking their line for Kimiko to exploit.

The gunman doubles over, dropped by Dragon's attack, the other two fire though as the hostages scream, one cowers the other, like Lenny before him, try to make a break for the warehouse. Zeitgiest makes his mark as well. Tearing into a few other guards, as long as Deadpool keeps the rest distracted the truck will soon be theirs.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Archery was all about focus, and given that everyone else had their attention on this or that, and the entire mess of things going on down there, Kate let her focus narrow down to just that singular point: Onishi.

Once the man barks his orders, she's got him in her sights, and waits for the perfect moment. As soon as she's got him, and enough clearance around him that her shot will be clean, she lets the grapple arrow fly.

Wade, the smoke, the others, the mayhem of it all.. totally out of sight and mind. It's just Kate and an arrow. One almost feels sorry for Onishi.

Dragon has posed:
Dragon's getting shot at!

Those poor bastards.

Dragon seems to look to the two guards who fire their weapons, seemingly moving with such grace that the bullets seem to miss him completely as he closes the distance. A hand striking with such ferocity that it could break the man's gun, with an elbow to follow through, aimed for the man's wind pipe. Not hard enough to kill, but hard enoug hto incapacitate for some time.

The second? Well, the second is gonna get his piece. Dodging a bullet through anticipation, Dragon attempts a roundhosue kick hard enough to send the man tumbling over.

Anyone else? Looks like everything is going well.

Jinx has posed:
The problem with just randomly swinging your blades is that it's done in a pattern and Kimiko can hear it. As soon as the billy club hits though, she's as quick as a snake, using the momemtum to toss the falling ninja into the next on line. Then a Kunai appears out of nowhere, and all that is heard is 'THOOMP!' as a concussion blast knocks that group of three into the water as well. There's some very cutting edge tech with this fighter.

Other blades, namely katanas, start getting cut at the hilt.....with where they've been cut glowing, like they've been cut by something incredibly hot. But the fighting stops for a moment.....at least in that area.

Deadpool has posed:
"WHY IS THERE SMOKE NOW, LOUSY NINJAS," Deadpool coughingly demands from his smokey crowded area. "I feel like I'm in Vegas. And not in a good way, but in the part where they attempt to throw me out of a show because I'm disruptive to the 'talent' way," Deadpool complains. He's been busy: he's got a lot of moaning, unhappy ninjas near him and has gotten a little bit shot. Why? Because he was trying to get the van to start. It starts, and suddenly roars through the smoke bombed area, headlights on, a juggernaut of possible death.

"Ohhhh I forgot the no killing might include lethal cars. Don't die, anyone!" Deadpool yells after the van. He wasn't in it; he just pressed the pedal down and hopped free. "STAY OUT OF THE LIGHT ... OF THE HEADLIGHTS." He turns and orients on someone that tagged a lucky shot on his shoulder.

"Ow," Wade complains, and returns the favor five times, while seeking new cover behind a mound of moaning injured Ninja. "Hi guys. Be my human shield. Just lay there. Good job. ...oh, shit, were you a speed bump just now? That ...really sucks. That leg looks /bad/. You might have to look elsewhere other than a professional ballet career. I mean, I assume you have a day job, because you were absolute shit at THIS today. Like, red-shirt level bad, to be the one run over by a car with no driver....."

    All the mouth.

Daredevil has posed:
One minute Onishi is striding towards the docks, the next, a steel cord is wrapping around his legs and he's topping down the ramp towards the boats. The men around him converge, one tries to cut him free, the others try to form human shields, though not knowing where the shot came from, there's a small gap giving Kate a shot at the guy who's trying to cut Onishi's bonds.

Dragon's man goes down and Zeitgeist is engaged with the rest of the with the hostages as the two captains with blades rush the Grandmaster, one comes right at him, the other, grabs a hostage and puts a blade to her throat. "Give up, or she dies!" he demands.

Of course that's when the van takes off sending ninjas running and slamming into one of them, who in turn clips the captain, the sword dips as he tries to get his balance, giving Dragon or anyone else a chance to save the hostage.

Down on the docks, Kimiko's attacks drive the ninja back, as Dardevil opens up a new flank. It was hardly needed, the group are falling back, fast.

"Whoever, you are, nice toys," he says meaning whatever the hot thing was cutting swords.

The van for it's part keeps going with a thump, thump of ninjas under its tires.

Hawkeye (Bishop) has posed:
Kate was utterly prepared for exactly what happened to happen. Blunt arrows are next to be employed, intent on knocking Onishi's ever so helpful helpers out. They'd just be extra fodder for the jail cells, but she didn't mind. As long as they didn't free their boss, she'd happily shoot any number of them down.

Though even she has to wince at that van mowing through things. Not much she could do about it, but still..

Dragon has posed:
Never give a Dragon an ultimatum.

Striking in front of him in more of a slap to the throat than anything, the captain will likely also find his windpipe blocked as he lacks the air to breathe and function, while the other captain holds someone captive. Mistakes were made.

though Dragon enters a fighting stance, he shifts his palm upwards after touching the amulet around his neck (real handy for focusing chi in a tight spot), Dragon throughs his fist forward, with his pointer finger sticking out. The energy like that of a thin, blunt needle, meant to strike the captain with the hostage right in the forehead hard enoug hto cause a ripple effect, hopefully hard enoug hto knock him uncionscious and force a release of the prisoner.

Jinx has posed:
The one Daredevil is speaking to happens to be right behind him. "I am Jinx, Blind Warrior." And he can hear the scrape of metal on scabbard until it clinks...the definite sheathing of a sword. "Help me find someone. Find the Symbol of a Red Cobra upon him somewhere. If you do, say something. I am looking for information." And the wood on the dock shudders slightly, indicating she has left in search of her quarry.

Daredevil has posed:
The men around Onish drop, under Kate's arrows. Onishi being luckly still concious, while the rest are out for the count.

Dragon's first strike sends the first captain down gasping for air, the finger strike drops the other to the ground like a sack of potatoes, the hostage, falls too, but out of fright more than any injury. The others Zietgiest gathers up, including Lenny in the shadow of the warehouse.

"Daredevil," the man in red says to Jinx. "And I'm probably the wrong guy to look for a symbol, but Jinx? Drop by Fogwell's Gym on 9th sometime and we can talk, sounds like we might have some enemies in common."

Then with that it's just gathering up the prisoners and the hostages and getting out of there.

As for the van? It goes out with a final splash into the East River.
