Peace Offerings
Date of Scene: 26 November 2018
Location: New York City
Synopsis: Cassie visits Raven; huge privacy invasion!
Cast of Characters: Wonder Girl, Raven

Wonder Girl has posed:
There's a knock outside Raven's door, soft and yet firm. A familiar voice calls out as well. "Raven? It's Cassie. I'm, uh, back from Themyscira and thought we could catch up. Or something." Cassie didn't come alone and unarmed, either. In one hand she clutches a couple of coke bottles by the necks. In the other is a bag of hot, freshly-popped popcorn. Raven can probably smell it.

Raven has posed:
The door opens after a moment of silence. Cassie's plan is solid. Soda and popcorn help break the ice, and since Raven hasn't left her room in at least a couple of days, they could probably branch out into a movie or something in the common room. It's a rather brilliant play, but Raven might just be one step ahead.

When the door clears, though, Raven's hands are in her pockets. Despite the fact that her room is practically pitch black, her hood is up around her head. She has the look- as much as one can see with her hood up- of someone who hasn't slept in... A while. Who knows how long Raven would have to deny rest in order to actually be sleep deprived, but it looks it.

"I am fasting." she admits, after a moment. "But your offer is appreciated." This will probably take more brute force. Cassie is probably good at that.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie purses her lips initially, before drawing them into a crooked smile. Popcorn and sodas are set down outside, where Gar can easily find and devour them. "Oh! Hey, well I understand." Stepping briskly, she angles deftly around Raven and enters the room anyway.

    Step One: Accomplished.

Looking around, the blonde has to squint to see anything, even with Her senses. "So. Fasting for any particular reason? Or is this a mystical thing?" Cassie takes a slow step forward. "I can't even see if you have furniture in here." And that's saying something.

Raven has posed:
There is something akin to a psychic scream that Raven emits, as soon as the other woman enters her room uninvited. Part of her is prone to posture, and as Cassie attempts to enter the room, Raven's response is a somewhat prolonged, but quite seriously toned, "I did not-"

Cassie, being who she is, with the abilities she has, is a little hard to keep at bay. She is in the room before Raven is able to say the word 'invite.'

The room itself is bare and quite spartan. There is a waist-height dresser, a pair of bookshelves, a bed large enough for Raven and, by virtue of bed sizes, barely another person alongside. It is... -Gratuitously- tidy. The easel is the only area wherein there is mess, and that is simply because there's quite a bit of charcoal in the area.

On Raven's bed, there is a small hand mirror, which seems a little strange considering the full-sized mirror accompanying the dresser and what appears to be more cosmetics than Raven would admit to- which is to say, any at all- but it otherwise is rather unassuming.

The bookshelves, presumably, are extremely dangerous. It is a correct assumption. There is a desk, on which is a computer, which likely every Titan has in their room for use doing Titan Things or for social media or for whatever else they might think of. Hers is currently off.

"It helps keep me focused. You are not supposed to be in here." Cassie isn't supposed to be a lot of places. It's probably a serial problem for the blonde, but she's managed before, and she'll probably manage now.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie's hands go to her ears, even though the scream isn't actual audible. Squinting and gritting her teeth, it takes her a moment to adjust before relaxing. And hearing Raven's words. "Crap. I'm really sorry, Raven, I just..."

    *BIG SIGH*

"I'd heard you were sort of in a bad way so I thought I'd just stop by and..." No, she doesn't say 'cheer you up', although it's the first thing that comes to mind.

"Help." Cassie is learning, at least. Thumbing back over her shoulder towards the door, she offers. "Would you rather I just left, then?"

Raven has posed:
The psychic manifestation of how bothered Raven is at the affront of barging into her room isn't entirely supposed to be 'heard' by normal people. At most, it's more of a feeling of dread that sort of happens to people nearby, but it passes quickly.

"It is not a matter of... Helping. But I..." there is a pause. Expressing herself is still mildly difficult. Raven searches for words, no matter how long she's been among friends. "Appreciate the concern. We have been dealing with this... Parallel dimension, alternate timeline, there is no guarantee it's not some asshole that is simply messing with our heads, but I would wager that it is not."

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie watches Raven's pale expression with rapt attention. She's spent so much time lately being the one who needs the help, who needs the coaching. And she wants so much to be able to give some of that back.

Except this isn't exactly Her battlefield. "Wow. Parallel dimensions and alternate timelines? I guess that'll teach me to disappear for a while. Is there anything I can do to help, or anything I should be looking for? If it IS some asshole messing with our heads, I mean."

And no, she doesn't seem to be leaving the room anytime soon.

Raven has posed:
Raven's hands have yet to leave her pockets, and she herself has yet to properly leave the doorway. Though she is content to imply that Cassie should not be in her room, she has yet to tell the young woman to leave. It's difficult for her to say these things right now. Any other time, she'd be just shy of actively teleporting Cassie out.

"Stardust knows more. If you can get past the accent, there are a number of reports she's submitted about the activities of these... Portals, that have begun to spring up. I have not been present for most of them, but they will appreciate the assistance. If you are present at the tower enough, you'll probably see one soon."

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie isn't really a good one to take a hint, in any case. The blonde looks thoughtful and nods a couple of times. Then she smiles a little as well. "I'm actually pretty decent with accents. I'll talk with her." she replies.

Booted feet scrape softly upon the floor as she half-turns towards the door, looking at Raven more directly as an obstacle to pass on her way out. "Let me know if you need something, too. After your fast is over, that is. Pizza, popcorn, tacos, whatever."

Raven has posed:
Raven isn't necessarily the least standoffish person in the world. She can also tell that Cassie is on her way out, in terms of the conversational standing. She does, indeed, step out of the way, as Cassie seems to be headed out.

"I'll... I'll let you know." It does seem moderately genuine, though the idea of Raven asking anyone for anything is pretty out there. "And I will be here if you have... Any questions." Well, that's Raven being supportive.
