Spoiler has posed:
Almost a week has passed since Spoiler met Batgirl. Much of the time since was spent between classes and working but tonight Stephanie had time to herself and was determined to make the most of it.

Arriving at the 'loaned' safe house, Spoiler slipped inside and took out the phone she'd been given by Batgirl. It only had one number in it so she chose it and dialed, listening for the line to ring. Some part of her half expected this to be a prank being pulled on her while another part hoped it was really a legit gesture.

Oracle has posed:
The line clicks as the connection is made, then there are several more clicks before a soft, female voice answers. "This line is secure." the voice intones. "State your name, first only." Yes, Barbara gave the phone to Stephanie as Batgirl, but she's taking no chances. After all, phones can get lost.

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler listens and then pauses. "It's Spoiler." She leaves it at that. Because, yes, her public identity is know, yet it isn't who is calling. "I'm where we spoke the first time. I even have my hood up. I was, um, hoping you might have some time for a bit of training?"

Oracle has posed:
*Voice Recognition: Positive* a computer-generated voice replies in the background. "Very well, Spoiler. This is Batgirl, and I know where you are. First, thank you for calling. You wouldn't be the first to simply throw away the phone." There's a pause before Batgirl speaks again. "Go to the roof. I'll be there in fifteen minutes."

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler huh's at that. "Well, you're welcome then. Though anyone that would throw out a way to get some assistance, well. I'm pretty sure we can agree they shouldn't be doing this. I'll meet you there." The nod is almost audible through the connection. Then the line clicks as Spoiler ends the call and does as requested, moving to the rooftop where she finds some lovely shadows to lurk in and wait.

Oracle has posed:
Fourteen minutes later, there is the soft <clink> of metal on concrete as Batgirl's grapple hook catches on the roof ledge. And before the second hand crosses fifteen minutes the redhead in black and grey flips up and onto the roof.

Batgirl lands in a crouch, casting a look around the rooftop while a military-grade motor reels in the line. Clipping it onto her belt, she calls out softly. "Ready when you are."

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler has no delusions that her shadow-lurking really made her hard for Batgirl to see. She offers a wave as the vigilante arrives and walks over, her black mask properly worn and over it the purple hood of her cloak. "Well, I'm not exactly the one to be deciding what I should know. But I can tell you what I don't know?"

Oracle has posed:
Barbara Gordon relaxes when Spoiler steps out of the shadows, offering a wry smile in return. "I can teach you how to fight, of course, and as you get better we can work on improving your gear." she offers. "A wise man once said: 'Knowing what you don't know is the beginning of wisdom'. Or something like that."

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler nods. "I've got 'not knowing' things down. But I'm making progress. I don't expect it all to happen over night. But if I don't get assistance nothing is going to change. I can beat up a handful of purse snatchers. But any more than three or four, or if a gun comes out, I know I'm going to be in trouble."

Oracle has posed:
Barbara Gordon chuckles softly, nodding. "The first response to guns is to just not LET your opponents pull them in the first place." She reaches under her cape to produce a Batarang. "Watch for the guy who's holding back; the one who doesn't jump into the fight right away. He'll be the one to reach for his gun when things go bad. As for fighting a lot of guys, it's the same as fighting only one. You beat them one at a time."
