Date of Scene: 12 December 2018
Location: Central Park, New York City
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Star Shimmer, Vision, Stardust, Ultragirl

Star Shimmer has posed:
Its been a day full of Busking in Central Park for Autumn. She did pretty darn good too! She managed to make enough to not only get herself a new guitar but to treat her new friends to something OTHER than Pizza. After all, while pizza is awesome, nothing says New York City like a good freakin hot dog. So she's offered to treat everyone.

Getting everyone here was a real challenge. Still, Now that they are here, She gives a smile, "Told Ya! Can't just live on Pizza ya know!" She snickers and leads the way through the park.

Vision has posed:
High above the city someone watches... listens... a being of Crimson and Emerald and Gold floating on the currents. Their cape fluttering slowly in the wind. Pupiless white eyes roam the metropolis below him, gazing. Ears that can hear beyond the audible spectrum and into the microwave range listen on a multitude of frequencies. Everything to him is information. Everything. Data to be sequestered. taken apart. Analyzed.

There are many current points of interest to him, all things considering, many datapoints to be examined in a way that is congrous to his new.. mission. The mission that has kept gim out of teh spotlight except for a few run in's with thelaw where he help apprehend criminals.. by being extrememly cold and brutal. But The city seems quiet today, which is why he is searching for secondary or even tertiary points of interest.

Like a low floating sateliite he examines Central park and it's denizens, matching faces and other biometrics against a multitude of databases, some which he shouldn't even have access to or which shouldn't even exist, and makes not of a peculiar gathering of.. young enhanced individuals.

Silently, the symthezoid floats towards the park but maintains a healthy distance still.. stealthily watching what is unfolding.

Stardust has posed:
"Hot dogs," Stardust muses aloud, "Are what got me into this mess in the first place. I was trying to eat one without getting mustard everywhere, and while dealing with a couple of mooks. That's when I met Cassie and Breathmints. Cassie roped me in, I roped Breathmints in. That's my backstory. Everyone should have a cool backstory." She has barely stopped talking since showing up at the arranged meeting spot, which even the new guys have probably picked up on by now - is entirely normal for her.

Stardust tilts her head thoughtfully, then corrects herself. "That's honestly not a very cool backstory. And completely fails to explain my powers. But then I can't really explain my powers. I mean basically one day this Australian voice in my head said 'So, you have powers now, congratulations.' So really my backstory is more about trying to figure out whether I was going crazy or actually had powers. Spoiler alert, I have powers. Well, either that or I went /so/ crazy that I'm imagining the whole Titans thing. That's possible. You guys may all be figments of my imagination. Anyone else got a cool backstory?"

The group is gaining a little attention from the crowds. Genuine, recognizable capes are still just about rare enough to attract that kind of gawking. Stardust at least has been in the Titans long enough to be pretty used to this, when she's in costume. She responds with various waves and greetings to onlookers as she walks and talks, and even manages to sign an autograph without it interrupting her conversational flow. A little bit of PR never hurt.

Ultragirl has posed:
Flying herself in (Suzy prefers it) she smiles when she meets up with Autumn and listens to her. She follows with a smile and chuckles, "I'm not always eating pizza. That is not exactly my way." She then looks at the others with a grin, "Then again, from what I've seen so far it is a staple." She looks over at the others again and then hmms at Colette. She tilts her head a little at the small story and chuckles, "I guess I have an intersting backstory."
She nods her head a little, "I was trying to become a model." She nods her head, "And I unfortunately started to get, well..." She gestures to her arm and flexes to show just how much muscle she really does have, "THey didn't like a muscular girl for the part. A robot nearby also didn't like an alient lifeform for some reason." She nods her head, "It burst in, grabbed me and I knocked it around 5 miles away with a massive punch. Everyone got all excited, I got ultra famous and now I'm Ultragirl." She shrugs.

Vision has posed:
The Vision is, perhaps, only a hundred feat up and behind the small group that is slowly gathering the park's attention. The light-manipulating properties of his Solar Jewel allow him to bend light around him in such a way that he is, while not invisible) camoflaged in that shimmery predator kind of way that is next to impossible for someone to see against the backdrop of the sky.

Like a vigilent sentinel, the synthezoid follows the group, keeping an eye on both them and those that watch them.. listening to hundreds of different conversations. What he is looking for, or whom, is unknown.. Just that he is.

Star Shimmer has posed:
"I showed myself to have a heroic nature. I had been kicked out of my home, given an apartment by Batman. I went shopping for some clothes and this damn guy was trying to kill a kid. I saved them than went after the guy with the gun. After that, I started training with Batwoman and become Nightingale. I was out running around Gotham with Nightwing and next thing I know I got beaned in the head with a ring. It took a little time to actually put it on but since then, I've learned and stuff."

As she leads the way to the best Hotdog cart in town, Her attention shifts to a woman with a black eye. Her forcefield seems to glow a little brighter as she looks at her. A frown crosses her lips as she continues toward hotdog vendor. "Umm Get my friends whatever they want! I'm Paying!"

Stardust has posed:
"First a Bat, and then a Lantern," Stardust says to Autumn with a grin. "That's two backstories! Greedy. Think of all the poor Metahumans who are struggling without a backstory to their name." She gives Autumn a wink, as if the words weren't clue enough she's joking.

"Being a cape is better than being a model," Stardust tells Ultragirl. "You don't struggle for work as soon as you hit thirty. On the other hand, the pay sucks. Though you've been getting sponsorship deals, right? I often wondered why more capes don't do that. Just imagine..." her voice drops, becomes a throaty growl. "I'm Batman. Sponsored by Pepsi."

The proximity of Vision goes unnnoticed, at least by Stardust. She's too busy ordering a hot-dog. Who knows what he will make of the group - a mutant Kree, a Lantern and a... whatever Stardust is, she has some weird energy signatures.

Vision has posed:
Oh yes.. backstories. If anyone knows about the complications of backstories, it is the Vision. Because his /is/ a doozy, is it not? Of course, he's not about to get INTO that right now, or is that what is on his mind. No, he is carefully secreteing away every byte, ever bit, of information he is collecting from this powered trio.

ANd no, they aren't the weirdest trio he has ever seen. He /IS/ The Vision, after all.

But he /is/ following them for a reason. LIke he is waiting for SOMETHING to happen, but whether they are to be teh cause, or something else....

Ultragirl has posed:
A look over at Autumn again and she smiles a little, "I agree with her." She points at Stardust, "You seem to be cornering things on backstories. Not really fair." SHe chuckles and nods her head before looking over at Stardust again, "I do enjoy it. That and having sponsors is good for money. I don't take things I don't believe in and I don't mind people making money off me if I make money, too. Sure, it isn't why I do it but I might as well get paid." She nods her head and then takes a breath before looking up at the sky, "I do love...fly-" She trails off a little and stares up. Her eyes staring nearly right at Vision before she looks down and lowers her voice to near a whisper, "Someone is above us...invisible or something." She states softly and then orders her own hotdog, "Not sure why."

Star Shimmer has posed:
The young Star Sapphire seems really distracted. Her attention is on the woman with the black eye again. Her violet aura seems to glow far brighter than usual.

"Hey Kid, Order or pay up already. We ain't got all night!" The guy at the cart states sounding more than a little testy.

Autumn snaps her attention, "Sorry. One with Chili, Cheese, Onion, and Jalapeno." She smiles and quickly pays the man. Then her attention goes right back to the woman.

Stardust has posed:
Stardust follows Ultragirl's gaze to what appears to be a blank patch of sky. She stares up, seeing nothing, and takes a bite of hotdog, chewing thoughtfully as she continues to stare. When the bite is consumed, she whispers in response, "Why am I looking for something invisible? Also, priorities, Nightingale."

Stardust turns her back to the patch of sky, but not without giving a pretty obvious wave in the direction of the invisible man. Facing Nightingale and Ultragirl, she keeps talking in a hushed tone. "Ultragirl, keep your eyes on him. Her. It. Nightingale, whatever you're thinking, you need to stop thinking it right now. Invisible flying people may be harmless. They may just be a little shy. Alternatively not. But what they are is something you keep an eye on. Uh... if you can see invisible flying people. Because obviously not if you can't. But you know what I mean. Focus, please."

Vision has posed:
Ah. He has been spotted. While he knows this form of camoflage is not infallable by any means, he takes note how long it took and by whom he was spotted (enhanced hearimg and being able to decipher read body language is a great pair of abilities) and files that away for later analysis. And since his cover has been blown.

Now only a dozen feat 'behind' the group, the air seems to shimmer as the cloaking effect collapses, revealing the inhuman Vision. FLoating a few feat above teh ground, as if gravity has no effect on him whatsoever, his cape still billowing behind him.

A number of park goers blink at the sudden appearance of the synthezoid. A few touriets flash there cameraphones at him. Some people back away. He seems to ignore them all, his face unreadable, as he stares at the three young women.

"You are not being very inconspicious, you realize." he intones, his voice even and flat, devoid of any emotion. "You are endangering these people with your presence, like this."

Ultragirl has posed:
Turning away from the other three, Ultragirl nods in acknowledgement of Colette. She smiles as Vision makes his presence known and she floats up a little herself, no cape to billow. She floats toward Vision a little and then states, "I am Ultragirl." She nods her head and smiles at Vision, "I am well known already and I can't really go anywhere without being sort of conspicuous."

She crosses her arms and stands up straighter with a smile, "None the less, the people here are in no danger unless someone wishes to answer to me. I doubt many do. Therefore, they are safe." SHe nods her eahd.

Star Shimmer has posed:
Nightingale frowns. She will attend to the woman soon enough. Her attention goes to Vision and she gives him a smile. "Good evening..." She then looks at Suzy and winces. Aggressive. Still She isn't about to let her new friends down. All the while her every instinct is calling her to get over to the woman with the black eye.

She shakes it off. "Listen, We are here for hot dogs. Would you like one?" She offers politely. "Besides, We aren't exactly here to cause trouble. Unless someone is actively looking for it and in that case... Well. We will of course make sure civilians are safe."

Stardust has posed:
"Incorrect," Stardust replies to the Vision, not turning around to face him yet. She gives a slight nod of her head to Ultragirl and Nightingale, catching their eyes one after the other. Presumably that's a signal of some kind. Possibly she knows what the signal indicates. Possibly. "That's answer to /us/, Ultragirl," she whispers. "Team now, remember?"

Stardust finally turns to look at the formerly invisible synthezoid. For some reason her attention seems to be mostly on his cape. She flashes him a smile. "It's called visible deterrence. You'd be amazed how often people don't start trouble when there are supers on the scene. Normally they're smart enough to realize that giving someone else a bad day is likely to result in an even worse one for themselves, so they behave."

"Besides..." Stardust gestures towards the Vision with her hot dog. "... how about you? If your logic actually held, which it doesn't, you'd be endangering them even more with your floating and appearing out of nowhere and looking like a robot stuff. And your big flappy cape. But luckily your logic doesn't hold. So you're not. Cool, huh? Nightingale's buying, if you're eating. What's your name?" She punctuates her speech with another bite of the dog.

Vision has posed:
Vision cants his head ever so slightly, as if studying the three women again.. Or for the millionth time. His mind works at near-lightspeed, coalating and cognating facts at speeds that would make supercomputer's weep. He looks from UltraGirl to Autumn and then to Stardust.

"If you believe you are safe then you are naive, Ultragirl." he finally says. It is not a harsh critisicm, just (to him) a plain fact. Like ice is cold or gravity makes (some) people fall. "There are many heroes who coexist with the public utilzing secret identities. We understand there are a few who wish not to and this is their choice, but many of them have existed in such a state for a long and know the ins and outs of how to act in public, such as choosing their venues carefully or scouting out their locations first. And most of them know that just wandering into a public venue or locale, heavey with passerbies, and utilizing know active situational aweress such as yourselves is dangerous.

His visage never changes, always cool and collected. "You are, for lack of better words, Magnets for those who wish to cause harm and are whom are looking for a visible target to gravitate towards. We are not saying you are doing this purposefully. Just that you are doing such out of Naivity."

He then shakes his head. "To be dictated to about logic by one so young and inexperienced, which forgive me you all are, is something I expexcted. Especially by the newer members, or the friends thereof, of such an organisation as The Titans. /I/ am not endangering these peple any more then you are. I /have/ situational awareness. And, if you are going to use terms such as Visible Deterrant as an explaination remember this..."

He looks to each one of them carefully, his white eyes glowing. "/I/ am an Avenger. /I/ have saved this planet Thirty Seven times. And if by your inaction or your youthful need to be seen in public cause any of these people, or any other, to come to harm I will be the /Final/ Vision you ever see."

.And with that he flies upwards.

Ultragirl has posed:
A blink at Vision and hten she watches him fly away. Tsu looks back at Colette briefly and frowns before nodding and then looks back as he flies away. SHe clenches her fist and then turns around to order a hot dog, "I'm...not a fan of that guy." SHe states, "Umm, lets just eat our hot dogs and get going." She grinds her teeth a little, "Before I chase after an Avenger and give him a slap upside the head." She grumbles, "Ultra jerk..."

Star Shimmer has posed:
That is enough for Autumn to actually get pissed. She looks at Vision and her aura seems to ignite, "Libby, Lock frequency onto him." She states as he takes off. She speaks, "So the Avengers are in the business of Accusing newer heroes of causing trouble? Really? You know, Since you want to play the age card, you could simply say 'get off my lawn!'" She frowns. "I don't care how many times you've saved the world. You can save it a million times and still be a prick. Congrats. I may be a rookie in the Titans but I didn't get my abilities yesterday and trust me when I say, I can protect everyone in this area and will if necessary. You came here, you insulted our team, Made idle threats against us. I have great love for this planet and the people there in. I love my team. Harm them at your own peril."

She frowns and looks at Colette. Her attention shifts to the woman with the black eye, oor would if she hadn't LEFT. "Dammit. I'm going to have to track her down." She sighs. "I will meet you at the Tower in a bit I guess."

Stardust has posed:
"Smart enough to know your logic would be questioned," Stardust says, "but not smart enough to fix your faulty logic, gotcha. Grats on being an Avenger, we're Titans. We're used to being underestimated. Shoddy assumptions like yours do that. You should work on that." She shrugs her shoulders and shoots him a mock salute as he flies off.

"Thirty-seven times," Stardust repeats to Nightingale and Ultragirl, winking. "Imagine him thinking we'd be impressed by that. Amateurs, huh?"

Stardust stretches her arms, and looks at the crowd that had gathered to observe the meeting. "That was Iron Jerk of the Avengers, folks," she calls out with a broad grin. "One of Iron Man's suits, developed a mind of it's own, so they had to make him a member. He's pretty good in a fight, but he's kind of a jerk, that's why the Avengers don't like to mention him in the PR. Don't ask him for an autograph."

Stardust turns to Nightingale and gives her a nod of understanding. "Don't go crazy and purple the hell out of the city, okay? See you when you're done. C'mon Ultragirl, let's get back and check Amarok isn't annoying Raven too much. The Tower can't take it."
