A Returned Call
Date of Scene: 19 December 2018
Location: Gotham City
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Oracle, Spoiler

Oracle has posed:
The last time, Spoiler called Batgirl on a burner phone and the two met on a rooftop. A new phone is left with the blonde at their parting. This time, some time later, a text comes through.

*Clocktower* *Tonight* *11pm*

No call and no explanation. No further details. She might as well have shone the Bat Signal on Gotham's perpetual clouds.

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler wouldn't respond to a Bat signal but a request to go speak with Batgirl? Well that was an obvious request she could make good on.

Arriving as requested, about five minutes early, Spoiler makes her way to the rooftop of the tower and drops onto a ledge beside one of the countless gargoyle statues atop buildings all across Gotham. There she waits till 11 exactly before dropping in through the entrance she'd been given access to. She makes her way inside but doesn't venture too far. "Knock knock..."

Oracle has posed:
The Clocktower lobby is vast, the ceiling high and vaulted. It is occupied by a single desk with a phone. And no list of numbers to call. A single elevator door is behind the desk, with a key for entry.

One enters here by invitation or not at all.

No sooner does Spoiler issue her greeting than the elevator doors slide open. A tall redhead wearing skinny jeans and a green tanktop is pressing a button from the inside. Long hair is pulled back into a ponytail, making her look young. The presence of the costumed visitor doesn't bother her in the least. "Well, come on up."

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler looks curious (as she can in a mask). "Mmmm.. 'kay." She follows without questioning for the moment. She may have ideas about what's going on but for once she keeps her mouth shut.

Oracle has posed:
The elevator door closes and the redhead touches a button. Once it begins moving, she offers. "I've seen you without your mask, so I thought it was time to return some level of trust." There's a pause, and the voice is certainly familiar. Not *quite* the husky night-voice of Batgirl, but it could be.

"I'm Barbara."

Spoiler has posed:
Spoiler looks over and listens. She nods. "Well.. I didn't see it going this way on arrival I've got to admit" she says wryly. She reaches up, however, and draws back her hood and peels off the mask. "Hello Barbara. It's nice to meet you." The blonde offers a smile, a half shrug - because, what else does one do when a vigilante offers personal info, really - and then her hand in greeting. Still gloved for the moment.

Oracle has posed:
Barbara Gordon takes the offered hand, her own fingers strong and her grip firm. Manicured nails are kept short and neat, her make-up light. This is a woman who's comfortable in her own skin, and doesn't need to hide the fact. "Thanks, Stephanie. And please feel free to call me Babs." The door slides open just then and she adds. "I'm not sure if anyone else will show up tonight. You know how these caped-types are when it comes to the choice between dropping through a window or ringing the doorbell."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie Brown smiles lightly and nods. "Babs, then." She shakes the hand then follows the redhead out of the elevator. "yeah? I didn't realize it was a party type situation. I guess I'm a bit over dressed" she says with a laugh as she looks around the room's layout again having only been here once before.

Oracle has posed:
Barbara Gordon moves towards the kitchen. "Get you something to drink? Oh, and I've put the word out that you could be stopping by. You know the routine, of course. People will either tell you their real name or they won't. Respect it either way. I, for one, like to err on the side of trust these days."

Spoiler has posed:
Stephanie Brown wanders after Barbara. "Just some ice water would be fine, please. Thanks." Then she nods. "of course. I'm low on the totem pole anyway. I'm not exactly in this to run around and demand secrets from anyone else. It's pretty much a given to me that everyone else knows who I am. Most, I've figured, have been warned to avoid the foolish newbie" she says in amusement. "Still.... Red Rob... I mean.. Excel... as he's going by now.. asked me to join a group he is forming - the Outsiders? It seems like it's mostly other youger-slash-teenaged would be heroes and vigilanties. I got to meet Superboy. That was pretty surreal, honestly." Another light laugh.

Oracle has posed:
Barbara Gordon shrugs at the explanation, returning from the kitchen with a couple of waters. "June is staying here, for example, but it's mostly out of necessity. There's a ninja clan that wants to turn her into a rug." Cinnamon brows lift and she looks curious, then. "The Outsiders, hmm? Oracle would like to know that, I'm sure." She pauses, then adds. "You accepted, of course."
