Cast of Characters: Rogue, Amethyst

Rogue has posed:
Its the weekend before Christmas and Salem Center is pretty much in full commercialism mode, there's a lot of people around and they're in varying degrees of different moods. Most people are generally happy though!

It snowed a couple days ago so there's even that to sway one's emotions up or down depending on their love for the white and cold wonders of winter.

As of right now, the music center in Salem Center is alive with lights, decorations and live music being played... its soft and its Christmas/Holiday themed music inside.

Rogue's newly acquired black van is parked out front and she's stepping out of the driver's seat and closing the door, raising her scarf up over her head to put it around her neck, then putting her hands into her pockets as she moves toward the store's front door!

Amethyst has posed:
Tucked into the warmth of a brightly decorated store, Amethyst is doing her best to blend in. Jeans and a black leather jacket with a purple shirt. Nothing about her screams warrior princess from another dimension hopefully. Her necklace is tucked under her shirt and Amy fiddles with the chain as she browses.
Glancing towards the windows, she lingers and weighs staying in the warm store and browsing longer. The van draws her interest and she glances to the driver with a note of surprise at the woman driving.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue's van is kind of a creeper looking van? Its got no windows, its all black... but its not rundown. It actually looks REALLY expensive as far as vans go. LIke if it was the A-Team's van in 2026, the A-Team aren't creepy right? The 19 year old girl with the two-toned hair definitely doesn't look it! So it must mean she's in a band and this her band's ride! Yeah!

Anyway, Rogue walks up to the front door and she pulls it open, feeling the warm air rush out over her she welcomes it to shake away the chill. "Gosh, dang, I hate the cold." She says in her smokey voice as she strides into the store and wipes her feet on the floor mat inside. She looks around then, letting her green eyese scope the place out, while all smiles. She looks quite happy.

Amethyst has posed:
Studying the girl, Amethyst looks back at the van as if waiting to see if men with guns hop out too. Holding still for a beat, she waits and relaxes. No men with guns so far. Wandering past the windows, she fiddles with some items on display, peering at price tags lazily and peeking at the van driving girl.

Rogue has posed:
No gunmen! Not today... maybe tomorrow though... She had recently just quit the Avengers and the X-Men both, she needed a new gig after all.

Either way, the girl reaches up and pulls her wool cap off of her head and musses with her hair for a second but she's got gloves on... you can't fix your hair with gloves on. So the wild haired girl with the white streaked bangs starts to make her way around and through the store.

It doesn't take her too long before she ends up near to where Amethyst is. It takes her a second to consider bothering the other but she eventually does, speaking up. "Question." Rogue says to her. "If you were going on a road trip, what would be some of the top bands you'd take with you in compact disc format to help entertain you and keep you awake on the road?" She grins big.

Amethyst has posed:
"Are the Strokes or the Shins still cool?" Amethyst asks and scrunches her brow in thought. "Maybe something more...old school rock." She shrugs a bit. "I don't listen to a lot of music really." She admits quietly and peeks at a clerk. She has been in the store for a while. "Mostly my mom played classical."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just holds that grin and nods her head two quick and small times. "I don't listen t'much thats new. So old rock is sorta my jam... fo sure." She trails off and looks away to let her eyes scan over some of the items nearby. "If you don't like music though, what in the hell are you doin' in here?" She asks the other, looking back to her to smile big again, her southern accent a bit out of place this far northeast in the US. "I ain't hearda those bands, but I'll pick their stuff up and check it out. I plan on gettin' recommendations from as many folks as I can before I call it a set collection for the road."

Amethyst has posed:
"There's a guy I'm looking for. He likes music. Thought he might turn up." Amethyst admits and shrugs slightly. "Bars, music, and liquor stores. " She glances about again briefly and looks at Rogue after a moment. "You look sorta familiar, like you've been on tv." She notes, eying the girl around her own age.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue shoots another quick look over to Amethyst when she mentions a guy. She quickly scans the store as if she'd have any idea what he looks like. "He's not here?" She asks. "Is he cute?" She looks back to the other woman and then just tilts her head to the side and glances down to the items she's randomly plucked off the shelves, wireless headset and a jack for her phone to go into the car stereo. "I was with the Avengers. Thats probably where you've seen me. With'em for a year, but I just put in my resignation a couple days ago. Movin' on!"

Amethyst has posed:
"A year...yeah, I was around about a year ago. Maybe so." Amy nods and tucks her hands into her jacket pockets. "Cute? I mean...no. Unless you like older blond brits with smoking and drinking problems. He has something I need though." She notes and looks back at Rogue. "Avengers, that's fancy. Why did you quit?" She asks curiously.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue gives another glance around the store and then she puts the wireless headset back on the shelf. She grins at the words about the Brit Blond and just softly shakes her head. "Doesn't sound all that bad t'me. The Brits got those accents that kinda make them sound like a Bond Villain, I can dig that." She keeps the other item held between her gloved hands... oh winter... she can wear gloves and not look like a weird like in summer time...

"Ah... I quit because I just wasn't diggin' the world savin' stuff. I mean, obviously thats important. But I see too much stuff goin' on locally that I'd rather focus on. But, that'll come later. Right now? I'm on a mission, t'go find my parents."

Amethyst has posed:
"Oh...good luck. I got to learn about mine recently. It was a trip. Hopefully it's a good journey-you know? Leads you to good places in the end." She peers at Rogue curiously. "So...how does local crime fighting work exactly?" She wonders and glances around again.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue draws in a breath and reaches a gloved ahnd up to ruffle her own hair atop her head. "You and me both, Sugah." She idly replies to Amethyst's first words. She's browsing the aisle they're in a bit more closely and she gives a glance back over at her. "Oh ya know... I've gotten quite a lotta contacts through what I've been up to with the Avengers'n all. They tell me hotspots for stuff, I go'n check things out. Its a 'bit' vigilante'ish, but, hey... I'm bullet proof. How many cops can say that? I'm doin'em a favor." The police may or may not see it that way.

Amethyst has posed:
"Bullet proof?" Amy's brows rise. "I mean....that's awesome. Handy trait to have if you're a hero I guess." She tries to keep her voice down so she's not shouting about being super duper. "That's nice though, helping even if you don't have to. I always worry about turf you know? I don't want to meddle."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue doesn't necessarily seem like the type who'd care if others knew about her or what she's capable of. She has a bit of a brash arrogance about her, looking to be roughly the same age as Amethyst is. She even looks to her side to the blond and just nods her head once. "I've always been a bit of a meddler... part'a growin' up mostly on my own, mayhaps." She picks up a leather book to store CDs in. "I hate digital music, I prefer buyin' physical stuff. I like t'have something in my hands, ya know? Digital feels too... impersonal... Unpersonal?" She narrows her eyelids then. "Unpersonal's definitely not a word, dummy." And that is muttered at herself. She looks back to the blond then. "Whats your name?" She asks suddenly then.

Amethyst has posed:
"Oh. Ummm, Amy. My full name's super long and stuffy, so Amy works. What's yours?" She asks and studies her companion. "I like cds too. Or you know in person music, but I guess that's hard to do with a road trip type scenario." She admits and glances around again. "If you meet a blond brit who chain smokes and probably smells like booze can you tell him I'm looking for him? He can probably find me faster if he knew I was back...."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue grins at the live music part inside her car. "I sing along t'the tracks playin', but I only do that when I'm alone. I got my dog with me though, he only burries his head under the blankets in the back if I start singing. Guess we can't all be famous country music stars though, huh?" She exchanges the cd case for a black leather one and glances back to the other. "Marie's my name. Most call me Rogue though. Weird, I know... I get it. Its the name of'a Star Wars movie and of a mini-van model that I don't think they make anymore." She holds her grin as she turns back to the blond. "If I see any blond brits with smokes, I'll tell'em where I saw ya, Amy's. I'll stop chewin' your ear off now and go wrassle up the rest'a what I need before I head out. Hope t'see ya again when I get back inta town!" She smiles brightly to the other and moves to step around her to go off on her way through the store.

Amethyst has posed:
Nodding, Amy waves Rogue off. "Yeah...I'll see ya..." She trails off and takes one last look about the store before sighing and heading out of the shop into the cold. There's a brief flare of purple light out on the street and she walks off with a hat and scarf she didn't have before to ward off the chill.
