Aqualad has posed:
Kaldur had asked out Cassie on a date to the beach! For reasons entirely unknown to him, she said yes! Or at least agreed to spend time with him. Dressed in regular clothes with his Atlantean armor underneath, high collared to hide his gills, Kaldur smiles to Cassie as he walks along the beach with her barefoot.

"So, I trust your day has been good, at the very least?" says Kaldur, attempting to fight his nervousness to ask her how she's doing.

After all, it's usually always something wit hthe Titans.

"Thank you...for coming to the beach with me today."

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark agreed because dinner with Kaldur turned out pretty well, and it turned out he's also a pretty understanding guy. Not that she would actually think to tell him that. Cassie isn't one to play games, at least not intentionally. It's just that she's fairly new to relationships.

For her part, she's wearing skinny jeans and a cropped tee over her bikini. At least she doesn't seem uncomfortable with walking together barefoot along the beach.

"Oh, it was pretty good. I spent the morning working out. And thanks for inviting me."

Aqualad has posed:
Kaldur smiles warmly to Cassie, and this was a new region for him as well...relationships. Love. Crushing, even, was just never something that he even dabbled in until he met Cassie. BECAUSE OF THAT, Kaldur isn't pushing anything. He's not trying to rush and he's not trying to force. So instead, if she allows, he'll try and lace his fingers with hers.

Because Kaldur is at least //attempting// to be romantic. "I'm glad that you'vebeen having a good day, Cassie. Though, it really is my pleasure to spend time with you." he smiles warmly to her.

"though...you do look beautiful today."

He looks out to the sea for a moment. As if knowing that if he panics, he can always swim away! But...that wouldn't look good, would it.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark doesn't look as fingers meet, greet momentarily, then lace together. She flashes a smile as well, looking over at him. "Thanks, Kaldur. But you can relax, okay? Just you be you. I know the surface world is new and everything, but this is new ground for me as well."

Giving his hand a tug with a bit more of her strength, she pulls him closer and brushes her shoulder against his own. "That's sort of why I picked the beach this time. I figured since the water is your element, you'd be more comfortable."

And while they're still close she adds in a lower voice. "That, and I like seeing you without a shirt."

Aqualad has posed:
Kaldur seems to smile and relax now that he's given subtle permission to hold her hand via her own accepting compliance. Aqualad was always nervous around her, and eventually, yes, he does relax. Though his cheeks do flush pink as soon as Cassie tugs him over to her, which causes him to chuckle, arms intwining now to make them look like just some everyday couple walking on the beach, having fun.

Just be natural, Kaldur. Like water. Floooww like water.

He smiles to her warmly. "I am more comfortable, I promise. Honestly, the more I'm around you I feel like my heart is...beating at a more reasonable pace now." he smiles to her, squeezing her hand gently. Her words, once again, make him blush.

"Oh! well..I...would enjoy seeing you...without a shirt as well."

That. Came out. So wrong.

Kaldur then chuckles. "Would you like to swim today?"

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark actually giggles at the declaration, letting a snort slip out as well. "You and most of the Internet..." she quips back. The blonde pulls her hand back, then. Arms cross and she grips the hem of her tee. Pulling up and over, the shirt comes off in a single, smooth motion.

Underneath, Cassie is wearinga red bikini top with gold trim in her thematic colors.

"Does this answer your question?" she replies.

Aqualad has posed:
Kaldur seems to chuckle. "So it would seem." Though Kaldur has successfully managed to scare away most of her perveted admirers of late, Kaldur's cheeks redden once again as Cassie removes her top to show her bikini top. "Oh...my." he shamelessly allows his eyes to wander.

"I-I believe so, yes." he laughs just a little bit, before he looks her in the eyes and reaches for the hems of his own shirt, removing it to reveal a chiseled torso, adorned only by Atlantean Tattoos along the arms. Seems they were now even in terms of what they decided to reveal to the other.

He does take a step closer to her, as if somehow partially stripping has given him new courage. "How is your swimming?" he asks her curiously.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark's gaze wanders as well, flickering over tattoos and chiseled contours. Shamelessly so, although her cheeks do color a bit as well. Turning towards him as well, she reaches down to unsnap her jeans. "How is my swimming?" she echoes, almost rhetorically.

"Lemme peel these jeans off and then we can race." Pause. "If you're up for it."

Aqualad has posed:
Kaldur smiles softly to Cassie, perhaps even taking this time to flirt. "Of course, take your time." and oh yes, he'll watch her remove her jeans, since they were eyeing each other up and down. It's appreciative! Kaldur was already wearing some swim trunks, so this was never something he needed to do. "Your swim suit looks...amazing on you." and it did!

"I'm always up for a little race. Though, try not to take it too personally when I win." some playful competition tossed in there.

Wonder Girl has posed:
The jeans are tight, and require some wiggling before Cassie can step out. The bikini bottom matches the top, of course, riding high over each hip. "First thing you need to understand about Amazons, Kaldur, is that they're very. Very. VERY. Competitive." She drops the jeans onto her top.

Looking over at him, the blonde flashes a bright smile and settles into a bit of a crouch. "Whenever you're ready."

Aqualad has posed:
"And you, Cassie, should know that Atlanteans are masters of the waves." Kaldur'ahm gives her a warm smile, before he'll reach and squeeze her hand, then release it, then he's crouched as well. "Ready....."

he lifts his hips just a little bit. "Set..."

"GO!"

and with a strong leap, Kaldur dives into the water! His natural habitat, and already, he's swimming FAST through the water! might help that he can actually...you know, breathe underwater.

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark can't breathe underwater, but instead of diving she *flies* into the wave. Not quite full speed, she still hits the water first. For all the good that it does her.

Then she hits the water.

Cassie is superhumanly fast, but she's no Atlantean. She keeps up quite well and for quite some time, at least until she needs to take that first breath. Cresting the surface to sneak one in, that's when she hears it.

Aqualad has posed:
Aqualad knew he had this race won. He comes up as soon as Cassie does. Perhaps rubbing it in juuuust a little bit his distinct advantage. "So, what does the winner get?" Then he hears it to. Someone's in danger. He turns his head towards the direction. "Did you hear that?"

He uses his sharp eyesight to see it. A party boat seems to be capsizing. Not a big one, just enough for about five people.

"Let's go. They could use our help."

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark slows up immediately, bobbing in the water. She looks ahead towards Kaldur, then in the direction of the boat. Slipping up from the water, the bikini-clad blonde hovers and looks around. "Got it!" she calls.

Then she notices her attire. Crap. Down Cassie goes again, back into the water.

"Looks like she's going under, too."

Aqualad has posed:
"Then we should be quick!" Kaldur immediately submerges, and he's like a torpedo in the water, swimming with immense ease and clearly great speed. Though he seems to be looking for anyone who might have already gone into the water. and indeed, he does spot one. He pulls out his waterbearers...and starts making rising water, helping to lift up two people. One who was drowning, and one who was about to. there's three more people to save!

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark stays on the surface, at least until Kaldur takes off. Taking a deep breath, Cassie dives and swims rapidly for the boat. Coming up from beneath, the boat stops sinking. And even begins to rise. Taking the boat, she uses it like a big scoop to sweep up under the other three.

Aqualad has posed:
The day is saved!

"Quickly, to the shore line!" and Kaldur will swim with the waterbears facing upwards to keep civilians afloat, which he will soon enough set down on the shore to allow them to be so very happy they are on dry land.

Then Kaldur looks to Cassie...and there are times that he's very jealous that she has super strength that she does. She's stronger than strong. But, he'll embark onto land, waiting for Cassie to land as well. "I guess...it's a draw?"

Wonder Girl has posed:
Cassie Sandsmark lifts the boat as well as the remaining three passengers completely out of the water, hovering lightly in order to slosh most of the water out. She flies over towards the beach with her burden, moving slowly so as not to spill anyone.

Settling slowly onto the berach, Cassie lowers the boat onto the sand while everyone in the boat goes crazy. Hands on her hips, she tosses her head.

The long, wet hair blows across her face until she swipes it back with her hand. How does Diana make that look so easy?

Laughing softly, Cassie assumes a more natural stance and steps over towards Kaldur. "For now, at least."

Aqualad has posed:
Kaldur looks to Cassie, chuckling as she has her moment. He approaches her and attempts to take her hands in his. "For now. Though...we never did decide what the winner would get? What's the prize to be won?" He asks curiously, while also seemingly wanting to try and see how devious Cassie is.

He does help clear some more of her wet hair from her face.
