Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Doctor Strange, Raven, Nina the Conjuror

Doctor Strange has posed:
Wong stands in the kitchen nook of the Sanctum Sanctorum, the bulding itself seems to know and shift in order to best suit its inhabitants and thus, Wong has found himself in a nook with a small stove and the perfect utensils for brewing the perfect cup of hot tea. The man stands before the kettle with his hands behind his back and his eyes closed, quietly waiting for the water to boil. He has the leaves prepared and the small cups are beyond clean.

Raven has posed:
Wong is about to receive a crash course in Raven.

There is a level of... Disrepect for the boundaries of the universe that sort of manifests when you're someone like Raven whom was... Designed, specifically, to go quite literally anywhere. That the Sanctum can't keep her out is not a matter that has been explicitly tested, but in an elementary set, while the Sanctum is truly powerful and well-guarded... Were Raven to -need- to enter the Sanctum without its permission, she could. She's not in a hurry, however, to test such a thing.

The reason, however, that this is in any way relevant... Is because as Wong is making tea, without a single sound to herald her arrival, Raven is, simply, there. If he'd been watching, she'd have entered the room from an impossible angle- from a point at which one could not feasibly have arrived. It's the lack of noise that is key here- The Sanctum does not shift to allow her entry into the room, she is simply there. The noise of tearing a portal through reality does not occur with Raven- her teleportation is more graceful.

"Tea is welcome. I prefer coffee."

It's not disrespectful, but it does come out of an area behind Wong that was -definitely- unoccupied moments ago. It's delivered in Raven's similar dreary monotone, too, so it's a little hard to sort through emotionally, even though it's clear that she means no harm by it.

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
And then to make matters worse, the front of the Sanctum delivers several loud knocks meant to echo. A young woman with an old spirit is standing before the doors to the Sanctum, idly adjusting her weapons and looking then back to the door. She really doesn't travel normally either, having simply stepped through a portal to the front of the building but then, when you have the capacity to go nearly anywhere simply by following an ancient artifact through a portal, it is hard not to do so.

And now...she has returned here after visiting several places that she wished to see about. When one tries to find some guy named Wong who was in some way related to the Ancient One, the stone very nearly told her it was time to fight a spell that was designed to stop her from entry...until she recognized the Sanctum's defenses and decided not to test them either. So, ya know, front door. Knocking.

Doctor Strange has posed:
"We have coffee in the cupboard." Wong says as he slowly opens his eyes at the sound of Raven's tone. His dark brown eyes turn to face his newest master and he keeps his face stoic but not quite as apathetic as Raven's might be considered. "I will keep that in mind for the future, Raven." The man says, prefering to call her the name she seems to prefer purely out of respect.

"Excuse me." Wong says as he pushes away from the stove and with a casual finger he points Raven in the direction of the coffee grounds as he walks past. "I will welcome our guest." The man reports before he's quickly in front of the door and reaching out to open it up and the house is already urging him to allow the person in so he steps aside and bows slightly as his eyes fall upon Nina. Hello, how can I help you?" He asks, knowing no one is going to knock on the door of the Sanctum without some great mystical need calling them to do so.

Raven has posed:
Raven is dressed somewhat differently than before, of course. In light of being referred to as young by both of the people she's had to interact with in the role of Sorcerer Supreme, she's donned a more... Classical getup. It's the traditional garb of an Azarathian Sorceress, of course, and it includes its own cape and hood, with a few more elaborate trappings as well, but it does actually -convey- the maturity of Raven.

As Wong introduces her to the coffee, Raven doesn't seem to take long to begin brewing her own drink- as Wong was likely only making tea for herself. Regardless, she too can hear the knocking, and seeing as it's also somewhat her job to handle visitors as well, Raven is not long after Wong, taking a position at the top of the stairs within the front foyer of the Sanctum.

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A blink as she is greeted by someone new. She considers him a moment and then states, "You look like a Wong." She nods her head, "I'm assuming you are a Wong, yeah?" She then walks into the front door rather forwardly and states, "Nina, the Conjuror. Formerly trained by the Ancient One, frozen in time for overly 70 years, and now back due to the madness that is taking the world." She looks around, "Whatever that is." She then blinks and looks up the stairs. She looks over Raven again before she states, "I definitely prefer that look." She then looks back to Wong and gestures idly at him, "Ok, so, you got any idea what is happening that could have pulled me free?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Yes, I am indeed, a Wong." The bald man says with a frown as he straightens back up from his bow and he slowly closes the door with a look over his shoulder towards Raven during Nina's questions and comments. "Ah, a former student of the Ancient One. Sadly they have passed on not too long ago, and now there is yet another new Sorcerer Supreme." Wong says with a motion of his hand towards Raven, "It seems that magic itself might be queezy from the recent events, that could have been what awoken you from your temporal slumber." Wong says with a look to Raven, she might have some input. That or he's used to Strange having input.

Raven has posed:
Raven doesn't comment about her own outfit. It's meant to fit the position, to be easier to take seriously. It's not necessarily about popularity or appealing aesthetics. "There are a lot of things that could have brought you back from being outside of time. I haven't found much else about the demon you were combatting at the time. He may have died or fled this plane, which could have called the magic to an end. It could also have been set to end after seventy years, or the nature of magic in that time has twisted and changed enough that the woven spell came undone. No one answer is more likely than another."

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A look at Wong again and she nods, "I know he is dead. Was it natural causes? He was an incredibly wise man. A powerful one, too. It's rare for one such as he to pass." She then shakes her head, "None the less." She looks over at Raven and then back at Wong, "Well, no matter the case, I need to get back to work while I try to figure out how to fix my displacement." She nods her head, "Or not. Depending on things." She sighs, "I did see someone talking about some kind of sleep thing on one of the TVs in a store I passed into." She then looks at Wong, "And speaking of, the TVs...they have really taken off and gotten strange." She nods her head at Wong before looking to Raven, "I swear, the people of this planet practically have their own magic now."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"He went peacefully." Wong says with a mournful look in his eyes at thinking about his former master, but there is a hint of a smile as well. "If you think tvs are so wonderful, you have much to learn of this world." Wong says with a lift of his eyebrow as he moves back towards the kitchen at the sudden sound of hissing fills the air. "Would you care for some tea?" Wong inquires, as he tries to lead both women to the kitchen, though he knows Raven is a bird all on her own and will do as she pleases.

Raven has posed:
Raven is indeed her own bird. She is also a little difficult to 'lead' as it were, but not without her tricks. She departs the bannister at the top of the stairs, and after a few steps, she is in the kitchen again. When the other two arrive, Raven will be standing there, pouring her coffee. "The sleepers are something of a problem. I know some things- there are some tactics that can free them, but even if freed from the sleep they aren't exactly safe. Taking the sleepers to a plane on which whatever is drawing them into the dream does work to wake them, but beyond that, it is only a stopgap. We need to find the source."

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A look to Wong and she nods, "I imagine. They have certainly come a long way here." She follows him and blinks at Raven being there already before saying, "You do that often?" She asks and then considers making a different comment but keeps it to herself for now. She instead looks over at Wong and says, "I prefer just regular tea. None of that fancy stuff that the Ancient One liked." She nods her head before looking over at Raven, "Well, I'd like to help but what I need is something to go off of." She nods her head, "If I know what I'm looking for, I can find it." She nods her head, "Anything."

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I do not have much knowledge of these sleepers, but maybe Raven here could consult with the Ancient One. This could be something he dealt with before..." Wong says as he pours the hot water into the ceramic cups, a few leaves float in the steaming water, but they dissolve away rapidly and leave a perfect cup of tea.

"Maybe the two of you could look into the matter more deeply, as I'm not planing leaving this sanctum any time soon."

Raven has posed:
"I have a habit of going where I please." she notes, sipping quietly at a steaming cup, served black. It's an obnoxious, predictable thing, that she'd be drinking black coffee. She listens along, and raises a brow. "Communing with the dead is purview of different mediums, but it can be done. I doubt Xanadu would be comfortable with ringing up such a prestigious spirit, regardless. You are correct, however. His insight, if any, may be useful. Regardless of whether or not he has encountered this force in the past. That may be my next step." she notes, turning to Nina. "In regards to something to go off of, you may make use of the Orb of Agamotto. If you are having trouble locating sleepers, we can narrow down the search, but I doubt you will have trouble locating several of them on your own. Mystical symptoms, and logical connections that other investigators might have missed because of their lack of magical senses, will be important. I cannot visit every victim on my own."

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A nod to Wong and then Nina considers, "MIght be best to let the old man rest." She nods her head, "If I can see one of these sleepers perhaps I can find a trail to follow. I have an artifact that basically will follow any trail, even across realms." She looks up at Raven, "Well, I'll start there. Will at least be doing something." She sighs, "Besides questioning this whole situation." She then looks back to Raven, "As a note, still on the table to spend time with you though." She laughs a little and turns her gaze toward the door, "Wong, I'll be back for that tea another time." SHe nods her head, "I won't have time for it. I sit still too long and I start to think about things that have happened and that isn't for me." She shakes her head.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Wong nods sharply and takes his cup before walking into the next room. "You two will do great work. I will keep this place safe while you two do what you need." The servant says with a sharp nod and a weak smile before disappearing around the door frame.
