Superman has posed:
What a day. Days. After having been nearly killed by kryptonite poisoning, again, Kal El had decided to take a few days off and let his body heal. Leaving the fate of the Earth in the capable hands of his family, he'd flown off to Sol for some 'fun in the sun'. Or a siesta. Turns out it was the latter. The body sleeps when it heals. It knows when it's ready. Clark.. well.. hadn't counted on needing an alarm. So as he strides into the fortress, he yawns and stretches mightily. "Hello father." He addresses the fortress' A.I. "What day is it?" Because it's clearly daytime. He just wants to know how many days until he has to have presents wrapped.

"Hello, Kal-El. Today is December the Twenty Ninth of the Terran year Two Thousand Twenty Six."

Kal froze. "Wait. Repeat that?"

"Hello, Kal-El. Today is December the Twenty Ninth of the Terran year Two Thousand Twenty Six."

"Ohhh, I am in /big/ trouble." Kal-El declared with a whince.

Power Girl has posed:
This is when Power Girl finds Superman in the Fortress...as she just 'happens' to be here. She floats her way over to Superman with her arms crossed....and she even heard his 'declaration'. "Yes you are, Kal-el." She says with a sigh. "You realize we've been worried about you, right?" She then shakes her head. "Also, Merry Christmas, Kal-el."

Supergirl has posed:
"O.M.G." The letters are actually spoken out one by one. "Finally!" From around a corner comes Supergirl, flying at a blurring pace. "We were worried! You should've been back before now! Were you attacked? Do we need to go fight someone?" Even as she is rapid firing these questions, she is flinging herself at her cousin in a big hug. "Cause we will go kick some boo-tay if we need to." Whoever taught her that word should probably be shot immediately.

Superman has posed:
Superman raises his hands with a half-laugh. "Hey, woah, relax, Kara! I just overslept." Just. By like a week. "It's not like I planned for it you know. And.. Merry Christmas?" Now his expression turns sheepish as his toe draws a line on the floor. "I.. don't suppose either of you fended off Lois?" He asks with a hopeful expression on his face.

Power Girl has posed:
"We're not the ones dating Lois, Kal." Karen says with a sigh. "However, if we need to...we'll go with you to talk with her." She then looks at Kara. "Doesn't....Lois know about all of this anyways? I could be wrong." She then laughs at Kara's hugging Superman...and Power Girl gives Superman a hug as well. "Glad to see you're all right though."

Supergirl has posed:
"Do we look stupid to you?" Kara asks with a grin. "You get to deal with her although I did tell her I was sure it was important. Like saving another planet important. oversleeping? Not sure that she's going to be happy with that. You better have the best present ever for her," she says, having learned rather quickly on this world that presents make things better with loved ones. At least it works for her adoptive parents.

Superman has posed:
Superman tenders a small sigh as his fate while using an arm each to hug his family. "Alright. Well. I'm sure I'll think of something. Flowers are always good." As a starter. "Oh. Wow. Mom." /Now/ Kal is worried. "I.. am going to have to fly to Kansas first." Because you don't let Martha worry any longer than you have to. She's getting old. Another sigh escapes him. "So what about you two? Did you have a good holiday season? I.. have your presents back at the apartment.. but they're not wrapped." Cough.

Power Girl has posed:
"Liar." Power Girl jokes. "You'd better get your butt back to Kansas and make sure your mom is okay." She then sighs a bit. "Kara and I did a bit of monitor duty in the Watchtower.....after Star Labs had a stink bomb accident." She then looks to Kara.

Supergirl has posed:
"It was my first time on Watchtower duty!" Kara sounds proud of herself. "But Karen was there with me. Although..." She suddenly wonders something and looks to the other woman. "Did you do that whole stink bomb thing to yourself so you would have a reason to be there to keep an eye on me? I mean, I get it that I was new but just wondering if it was a ruse." Too many dictionaries. A girl her age shouldn't be using the word ruse.

She does give Kal a reassuring smile. "Your mother knows what happened. Lois too. That you were recovering. Seriously, I dont' think they'll be mad at you. They would prefer you healed to on time."

Superman has posed:
Superman is now looking between them wondering why suddenly a stink bomb is a grand conspiracy. Mind you, a stink bomb on a space station.. is bad. Really bad. He's personally glad he missed it. "Thanks, Kara." He gives her a squeeze for that reassurance. "Wait. Watchtower? Or the lab?" Maybe he's still a little groggy what for oversleeping. "Anyway, I'm sure I'm glad I missed it." He's doing his best to hide his grin as he tickles Karen, "I am not! Yours is.. oh nice try there. It may be late but it will still be a surprise."

Power Girl has posed:
Karen playfully swats the hands away. "The labs. SOmeone didn't clean out their beaker before trying a new experiment. They're lucky it wasn't something worse. I got the worst of it....because I evacuated everyone. So when I went up to the watchtower, I took a shower."

Supergirl has posed:
"Because she stank. A lot," Kara says with a giggle. "I wished I couldn't smell for a while until after she got herself all cleaned up." She realizes Karen skipped the answer to if she came up there on purpose to watch over her. Not that she's insulted by it. She could see them wanting to keep an eye on her while she kept an eye on the planet.

Superman has posed:
Shaking his head, Kal-El extracts himself from the pair and stretches his arms overhead again. "You sure she only needed the one?" His head was canted to the side and a playful smirk was on his face. That broke into a grin, "Kidding!" He braced for an assault that may not come.. not right away anyway. "It's good to be back though. I missed it. There's nothing quite like Earth's atmosphere." Taking a deep breath, he looks more serious a moment, "Any movement out of Luthor?" The world's largest stockpiler of kryptonite.

Power Girl has posed:
Karen only smiled at Kara. Whether or not karen was there to watch over her 'sister' was for Karen to know. "Luthor's been pretty quiet lately. Which is not like him. A lot of things have been pretty quiet actually." She then looks to Kara, as if to say 'unless you've heard something'.

Supergirl has posed:
Kara shakes her head negatively. "Haven't heard a peep. The most interesting thing to happen was Watchduty and the Winter Dance at school." Which is to say not a lot interesting although she did go with her boyfriend so there was that. It had been nice and romantic and she was savoring every minute of her senior year. Next year this time she'd be working like an adult hopefully.

Superman has posed:
Superman hmms broodingly. "Well. I guess it's time for Clark to come back from holiday and do a little snooping again." Lifting his chin from his darker thoughts, he smiled faintly. "/After/ checking in with Mom and Lois, of course. In fact, why don't we all go? I'm sure mom would love the company and we could surprise her by cooking dinner for a change." There's a look to both with a hopeful expression.

Power Girl has posed:
"That's actually a good idea, Kal." Karen then looks to Kara. "Your mom won't mind me being there? Being an 'unofficial' member of the family, I mean?"

Supergirl has posed:
"His Mom," Kara corrects easily. "My Mom is in Starling. Aunt Martha will take you in immediately and worry that you aren't eating enough." She gives a roll of her eyes with that, knowing that is what she gets everytime she goes. "Apparently I'm too skinny and need to be fattened up, like a cow for slaughter os something. I really don't understand that myself." She looks to Kal for verification.

Superman has posed:
Kal-El gives Kara the fingergun. "She's not wrong." And the sage nod of agreement. "Though.. I feel sort of bad that your parents aren't involved in this, too. How about.. instead of rushing things.. we make up for it with a family New Year's shindig. Maybe set it up in the barn so everyone can fit. It'd take me no time to cobble up a table big enough for everyone."

Power Girl has posed:
"And...hold it in a big barn where it'll get cold and....drafty." Karen sighs. "I like the idea of a New Year's shindig, Kal, but....a barn?" Karen shrugs her shoulders. "Is there a big enough room in the Kent House, or the Danvers house for the family?"

Supergirl has posed:
"Oh the barn would be perfect. It'll be nice and warm and we can bring in heaters if we need to." Kara seems to be all for this idea since honestly, it sounds very Kal to her. She knows that he would love to spend it at home and the barn can be quite lovely when decorated right. She might be able to reuse some of the Winter Wonderland props they had for the school dance!

Superman has posed:
There's a tilt of his head as Karen declares the barn cold and drafty. "Well.. that depends on the barn. I know I've kept mom's in ship shape over the years. Though we haven't had horses in years so yeah some heaters would be good." Clark muses on the question of house. "How many people are we thinking of. Lois, you, Kara, I assume Carol, her parents, mom.. me.. that's what? Eight? Connor, Faora, Dru." Fingers tick off. "I mean.. we're talking fifteen? Twenty?" Hmm. "Yeah, I don't think we're fitting that in the dining room.

Power Girl has posed:
"yeah. Barn it is then. We'll just have to clean it out and all that." Karen then chuckles. "I just thought of a barn where it was really really drafty and such."

Supergirl has posed:
"Oh no, their barn isn't that kind of barn. You could live in it upstairs. It's really nice. You'll see!" Kara considers the number count. "Around twenty sounds about right. And we can do our own fireworks. They are so much prettier in the sky there. No bright lights from the city interfering." She pauses. "Can Chris come if his folks are okay with it? He knows my secret but I don't want to expose everyone else's."

Superman has posed:
Superman ahhs delicately. "Well. I think we can call this a family gathering and quietly sidestep talk of flying around the corn fields." He lifts a hand to scratch the back of his head. "Though your idea of fireworks is going to be out." Lowering his hand, he nods to Karen, "I lived up there when I was a teen. Had my own space. It was nice." There was a moment where he had a flashback to Lana. Eyes drifting off into memoryland before he shook his head from it. "Anyway, it sounds like a solid idea. We can work out the logistics later. Right now, I need to dash and check in with mom."
