Pied Piper: Souvenirs and Flowers

Synopsis:	Majik and Cannonball grab Erika for parental rescue and questioning.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie is sitting in the recroom. He has a laptop on his knees going over a few files on it. Lila cheney's music can be heard slightly from his headphones.

Magik has posed:
There is a flash of light as a stepping disc appears, lowering to reveal Illyana. She's dressed in a light leather jacket that matches her black boots, jeans and a red sweater. The disc appears to leave her behind. She immediately takes off her coat, laying it over the arm of a chair and flopping down in the seat. "I found..." She stops talking when she realizes he has headphones on and just settles in to ponder the events of the evening.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir roams in quietly, a bit of a frown on her face. Black jeggings and converse, black Paramore T-shirt (tight, not that it helps much), black and yellow plaid flannel shirt worn open, excessive eyeliner and mascara, and her black shoulder bag. Black leather gloves. She pauses in the door and waves quietly with a soft, sad "hey." for a greeting, then starts searching the room for lost items and oddments that people might have discarded or forgotten.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie 's headphones are removed as he sees the flash of light. "Hey Lil" He says to her in greeting. He will look over at seeing Erika, and smiles "Hey there is the person we have been looking for.

Magik has posed:
As Erika enters, Illyana is watching her curiously. She does give a smile to Sam at his greeting but then the words sink in and she's suddenly upright in her seat. "This is her?" Then she looks to Erika. "You're Erika?"

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir blinks. "Wait, you're looking for *me*?" She glances around a moment, hoping it isn't for anything bad, then nods. "Yeah, that's me. Miss dragged off to isolation and embarrassing search every time we have an exam herself." Because yeah, she just had one not that long ago and she's still kind of put out by midterms.

She straightens up and offers a gloved hand. "So what's up?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie motions tot he couch, and says "Please have a seat, I believe we have some good news for you. We have found a way to wake the sleepers, but it is a one at a time thing, and not something we can do on a mass level sadly.

Magik has posed:
Illyana takes the gloved hand, giving it a firm handshake then releasing. "Illyana Rasputin. Sam had a theory on the sleepers and we tested it recently. I can break the spell on sleepers. It is...an unorthodox method but it can be done. I understand your mother is afflicted?"

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods vigorously, suddenly at high attention. "Yeah! I haven't heard about anything I can follow up on yet. I mean, there's that one girl that I don't know how I would even find, and like, I have nothing to offer, so yeah. She's at the hospital in Bludhaven now." She looks around and sits, even though she's in very much a stand up and race around mood now.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and says "Well pretty sure, our method will work, but will warn you up front it looks rather extreme, so we will need to make sure none else are in the room while we do it.

Magik has posed:
"You might want to be out of the room yourself," Illyana warns. "It worked for several of the victims in Genosha so it should work for her as well. We can go tonight if you would like. I just need an idea of where the hospital is and I can get us there."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods. "O...kay, sure. I have everything I need. What's it DOING? I tried tracing it and she was just... gone. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Is there a catch? Should I be checking anything for you?" She bites her lip and stands again, checking her bad and her phone quickly. "Do I need to bring anything special along?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie shakes his head, and says "We have figured out is some type of magic, but we do not know alot more yet, and if you can tell us which hospital, I believe we can go there now." He says looking to Illy for confirmation

Magik has posed:
Illyana climbs to her feet, giving a nod. "I can have us there but I will warn you that the trip won't be a lot of fun." She glances to Sam then back to Erika. "I don't think we need anything other than the address of the hospital. I can take it from there. Now, when I teleport us, we will be going through a place that is...frightening. Just stay next to me and we'll be gone from there a moment later." Nothing like a brief visit to hell.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir ohs, "She's at Mercy Hospital, in SunnydAle. I can get the address, if you need. 1042-D. We just have to be careful because it's late. I have a stake with me, but you know. Just in case."

She digs around a bit in her bag, and pulls out a wrapped wooden stake. "Scary. Right. I can stay close!" She nodsnods agreeably.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "The stake won't help out much, I know it helps you fight right. What we will see there is not something we should have to fight tonight, just stay near Illyana and you should be fine.

Magik has posed:
Wooden stake? That confuses Illyana for a moment but she shrugs. The jacket is left behind as she steps over next to Erika. A disc of light appears around their feet then begins moving upwards. As it goes over their heads, they find themselves standing in a fiery realm filled with heat. There are even some demons nearby who look over at their arrival, a wide range of sizes and colors.

A second disc of light appears above their heads, this time teleporting them away from the hellish realm of Limbo. They appear in a hospital room. The exact room that holds Erika's mother. The door to the room is closed and there are no nurses in sight to see their arrival.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir, deadpan, "It wasn't for fighting things on the way THERE. It's after sundown." She rolls her eyes just a little bit.

The hospital room is pretty dull. After all, nothing exciting has been happening with any of the Blacksleep cases. Erika's mother is peacefully asleep in a hospital bed. "..Mom."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and looks around as they are appearing looking to see if anyone else is there. The tall man will step to the door, seeing who is around and if there is going to ahve issues

Magik has posed:
Having not been to Bludhaven before, Illyana doesn't know the significance of nightfall and stakes. If she didn't know better, she'd think Erika was worried about vampires. Or was she? After all, Illyana was raised in a demon realm so were vampires such a stretch?

Looking at Erika's mother, she glanced to Sam and gave him a brief nod. "Erika, do you want to leave the room? Because I'm going to have to use this..." A thought and the blazing white Soulsword appears in her hand. "On your mother to break the spell. It won't harm her. But it will look like I'm going to kill her. It might be easier on you to be outside or looking away. Sam can help shield you."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir takes a deep breath. "..Okay. Maybe I can score some scrubs or something." She backs away toward the door awkwardly, then frowns. "You know what? I can deal with this." She frowns and stands next to Sam, uncomfortably. "I'm not completely useless."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks t her, and says "Ok, well going to warn you up front. She will be stabbing your mother with that sword, but it does not harm the living it will only harm the magic holding her entranced

Magik has posed:
Illyana gives them both a glance, concerned this will be harder than it sounds for the younger woman. When Erika opts to stay, she gives her a brief nod them moves to the side of the bed. She raises the sword up directly above Erika's mother then pauses.

There is a moment then she plunges the sword into the woman's chest, sinking in several inches. There is no sound, no blood, no wound. For those that can sense magic, there is a ripple as the spell on the woman is broken. Illyana withdraws the sword and steps back.

A few seconds later, Erika's mother will wake up.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir cringes, but doesn't budge. She's been warned. And, well, she's not completely untouched by craziness. She takes a deep breath, then lets it out, waiting. Then her mother budges. "Mom!" She fidgets in place, not wanting to mess up any other stuff Illyana has in store. She doesn't say anything, either, also to not mess anything up.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will make sure he is ready to interpose himself between the woman and her mother for a moment. He will step aside as she seems to be ok. Watching both of them for a bit.

Magik has posed:
The Soulsword disappears. Illyana moves away from the bed, leaving room for Erika to reunite with her mother if she likes. "The sensors they have on her will pick up the brain waves in a moment. Nurses should be coming. I doubt they will even care that you are still here, if you wish to stay. But we should go before they arrive. If she is like the others, she won't have any information she can share but she's safe for now."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir blinks repeatedly. "Thank you. But.." She frowns and slumps. "I'm going to have to go back. Otherwise I won't get ANY sleep until I go back to the school after sun-up. I have a special bed there."

She goes over and hugs her mother, who is obviously confused and groggy. "Mom? It's me. I'll see you soon. I found help, okay? Call me if anything else happens? I have to go back to school now." She looks torn. "I'll call Dad as soon as I get back."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to her, and says "Do you want me to stay here till your dad gets here? would it help reasure you?

Magik has posed:
"It's up to you, Erika. I know that she probably will fall asleep again soon but it will be a normal sleep from now on," Illyana offers as she glances toward the door. No sound of anyone coming yet.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir makes a bit of a face. "Well.. yeah, if I didn't think YOU might turn into the story. We should probably just bail before somebody starts asking questions about how we got in here and stuff, right? I mean, unless you do this kind of thing a lot already. Then it'd be cool."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "I can stay if it makes you more comfortable, but we can go as well Which ever you prefer. I want you to be sure ya mom is safe"

Magik has posed:
"Sneaking in and out of places then having to explain it later? We're old pros at that," Illyana says with a bit of a smile. "We'll stay with you until you are ready then I'll take us all home."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods, thumbs up. "Let's bail before the nurses get here. I don't think they would understand." She steps next to Sam. "Ready to go, beam us up or whatever!"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods and steps closer to the two so the stepping disk will be able to get them al with ease. "Probably best, we are not ready to g public with how it is working till we can find out how to make it avaliable to more

Magik has posed:
"Very well." Illyana takes her spot between the two of them. With a thought, the stepping disc has passed over them, leaving the room with only Erika's mother --just as the door opens and allows the nurses to rush in to check her. She is found to be fine and soon, she will drift off to a true sleep, one that she will wake from in a few hours feeling more refreshed.

The trio appear in Limbo then teleported back to the Rec Room of the school. "I intend to try and find the Sorcerer Supreme of this realm. See if they can help me find a way to track the spell causing the sleep. We'll find the answer."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods. "I've met him before, I have his address." She frowns a little. "I asked him for help when Emma was being controlled. Unless he moved or something."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over a brow raised a bit at this and says "We d need to have a chat, and get you to fill us in on what kinds of things you have ben through.

Magik has posed:
"Well, that would simplify my life to have his address. Otherwise the whole sending out a magic ping in the hopes he picks up on it," Illyana says. She flops back into the chair she had vacated earlier as she considers. "In Limbo, I'd be able to do so much more. Here, I'm limited so I hope he can help."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods. "Well, I have it in my room. I keep a lot of notes on stuff, and that was kind of sort of a big deal, you know? I went there on the bus." She hmms.

"It should be in.. yeah, I know right what file I would have put it in. And yeah, I do lots of stuff."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "I would like to know what you have encountered and done, I heard you mention Vampires the other night and you seem worried about their being quite a few of them.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir ohs.. "Yeah, Sunnydale has a huge vampire problem. Me and a couple other kids got in trouble for fighting them, and I staked one of them with a sharp pencil and turned it into an ash cloud. Brr. I still have nightmares."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
    A blur blasts its way into the rec room and circles the room, stopping at the soda machine to reveal Kaydin. HE had to stop while his soda was being filled and it is obvious the teenager doesnt approve of the waiting. Still it is his soda and once full he puts a top on it and a straw and begins drinking. He finally turns around and smiles when he sees people. "Hey the room is popular again."

Magik has posed:
"Vampires you say?" Illyana considers that a moment, making a mental note to go visiting Bludhaven sometime. Research of course. As the blur comes into the room, she tenses and sits up in her chair only to relax when Kaydin makes himself visible by stopping. "Seems to be."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods, "Yeah. There's a super there who hunts them. She gave me one of her stakes. I know her family, but I haven't heard from her lately. Hey Kay, what's up? We're saving the world-ish."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Ah need to set up a time to do this as a group, but now would be a good time. He looks to the two, and says Ah am Sam Gunthrie, and this is Illyana Rasputin, we were both students here in the past, and have come back to try to help the current students in what ever way we can. If you have any questions you don't fel like you can go to others with we want to be there to help out."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
    "I have a couple of questions...Do I got to kiss andrea's butt if I joined the new mutants? Would I even qualify as I am a metahuman and not a mutant per say?" He asks as he blurs to a pool table and begins to set it up. "No offense but Andrea seems to be the type of person who can do no wrong and I grew up with kids like her." He says as he gets a pool cue and begins to set up the rack of balls.

Magik has posed:
"No one has to kiss anyone else's anything," Illyana says a little too sharply. She frowns a bit then shakes her head before glancing to Sam as she speaks again. "She may be the leader of the team or not. Being new, obviously I don't know how it all stands. However, there is always someone that has to be the leader. Someone to make the tough calls when the time comes. When I was a New Mutant it was him." She nods her head in Sam's direction.

Souvenir has posed:
"Yeah, I don't know if Andrea is great at leadering." Erika Kristasdottir shrugs a bit. "She's great at talking to everybody else and making people listen, but like.. Just because you're the bard and you have lots of charisma doesn't mean you're any good at stuff like tactics and things."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
    "I dont care who is leader. Being a leader means you are responsible for everyone. Being a leader means making the decisions no one else wants to. My Grandpa taught me that back when he was alive. He also taught me to do what I feel is right. That nothing else matters." Kaydin says as he takes the Cue ball and positions it and begins to look at the ball and where it will hit the other balls. "So who is new mutant leader?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Illy, snf dsyd "Well, Dani, and Ah, and before that Xhan was leader." He will look to the two, and says "Well, I need to get to know each of you and what your capable of before I say who I think it should be, and to be honest, even if I say who it is, really is up to who ya'll listen to. Right now, only one Ah have a thought on that is Ah don't see Evan as being it. " He will move to stand near the pool table. "I have met Andrea, and she and I have butted heads a bit seems she is not happy being compared to a friend of ours. As for Metahuman, we had an alien on our team if that tells you anything.

Magik has posed:
There is a moment as Illyana tilts her head, as though she is listening to something that the others don't hear. "Dani as well of course," she agrees in a distracted manner. She rises to her feet, picking up her jacket. "If you all will excuse me, there is a problem I need to deal with." She flicks her gaze to Sam. "Back home." Letting him know she means in Limbo. "If you will excuse me." A stepping disc appears below her feet and rises upward, her body disappearing from view as it passes. Then she's simply gone.

Erika Kristasdottir shrugs, "Honestly, I don't think it's a thing anymore. Like maybe it's in the books somewhere? But I haven't seen anything come out of it except for Andrea wandering around being sad and confused. Like, I hope she gets something sorted, but I don't think she's running anything, and I haven't seen anything."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
    "I dont know if I am leadership material. Think too much with my heart, not enough with my head." Kaydin says as he positions the cue and hits the cue ball and watches it smack into the other balls. sending them everywhere. "I will follow whoever is leading. Last thing a team needs is infighting and all." He says as he watches Illyana and then looks to Erika. "So are you joining the team Erika?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks over to illyana, and says "If ya need me you know where Ah am." He looks back to the two, and says "Well Ah do believe that being part of a family in your class can be rather important. Ah, consider all of the people who were part of my class as brothers and sisters. Ah curious who is interested, and your past experiences.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir uhs. "Maybe? I dunno. I mean, everybody just sort of treats me like the annoying little kid so far. I really need cooler souvenirs if I'm going to do any cool stuff. I don't have anything like a costume or whatever. There's got to be a better way to use stuff than shoving it down my shirt." She frowns. "I've been working out every day so I don't get tired doing whatever crazy stuff they tell me to do, too. And I'm a gamer, so like.. yeah."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
    Kaydin nods to Sam and he continues playing pool. "Alright boss. In the mean time me and Erika will train and see if we can do some heroing." He says as smiles. "Anyone hungry? I know a good chinese resturant in gotham." He says as he rubs his stomach. "They are quick and have pretty good sized togo boxes."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Erika, and says "Well, there will be some combat training, teaching you to fight without any souvenirs as well. It is good to be prepared for if something happens and your powers are not working correctly also.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir sighs, "See, and everybody says that, and like - I get that? But everybody acts like I need to train for years and years to become Batman. Maybe I don't want to be Batman when I grow up, you know? But if you hand me a freaking batarang, I can be Batman if I need. Or whatever. Nobody ever goes to Andrea and makes her smell floors when she's person shaped just in case she can't turn furry someday."

Kaydin LeGraize has posed:
    "I believe in you Erika. If you can go without training you are a better person then me...took me years to learn basic self defense from my brother." Kaydin says as he finishes playing pool and reaches into his wallet and pulls out a couple fives. "Alright have enough for chinese." He says as he pulls his phone out. "I would like to place an order...3 broccoli beef to go boxes and one fried rice to go box." He says as he looks to the other two. "Anything you guys want? My treat." He says with a smile.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "A few eggs rols, and some crab ragoons works for me thanks." He looks over to Erika, and says "There is a difference there. Your talking about asking her to use an ability that not all have when she has it. I aint saying train you to be Batman, or Wolverine. I am talking more proficiency not expertece. Think of it as maybe more brown belt status."

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods, "Right, so I have been hammering on heavy bags and running and stretching and doing knuckle pushups and stuff. I'm not being a total slacker here. Just, like, I have a cool ability and the first thing anybody does is say 'Hey, neat, you should go to school for twenty years so you can copy your own ability instead', and like, it gets kind of lame. I'd rather be doing tactics and stuff that's not as easy to wear. And like, kung pao pork is cool if they have it. Something pork and spicy and vegetabley."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will look at her, and says "If your interested in tatics, we will work on that as well. Hand to hand combat is something most work on here. Even my friends who were totally mental powers. You will get a lot of training if your willing to work with it.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods. "Well, I have been. And I want to learn tactics and leadership, not, you know, every single contingency skill possible to a high level instead of just giving me a couple of wristbands for a rainy day in case I need it. If I need to know how to read Hebrew for some reason, I'll dig in my bag for a bead to hang on a necklace, I don't need to spend two years in a language class for that, because probably I won't ever need to know Hebrew. But I'll probably need the two years of class time!"

"There's lots of stuff I want to know, and I'm TRAINING on those things, but if it hits the fan I want my teacher's skills to work with because yeah, I already learned how to throw and take a punch, I'm not bad, but I'm no Laura. If it gets really, really bad, I might need to BE Laura for a bit. Like, I'm schoolyard brawl good at fighting, but I'm not dodge a golf club and stab someone through the heart with a pencil good, and I had something on me that was, and that's why I'm not dead now. I feel like I can't get people to understand that." She sighs a lot and looks down at the floor. "Anyway, I'm SO ready to start doing stuff."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "Well, I hope you understand, I think I understand. I am wanting you to prepare, and the combat skills i will want you to have will be the same I want all to have." He says "Not sure, I have a lot of skills you would need personally. But you let me know what your wanting to study and we will work on it. Also am curious will your items allow you to mimic powers or abilities from animals and such?

Erika Kristasdottir hmms, "I haven't checked. I don't get extra organs or anything, and I had to do a lot of stretching so I wouldn't strain myself doing some of the stuff I've picked up. But like, I haven't tried to figure out if I can sniff things out from a collar or anything.. I should probably try? There's a little bit of adjusting if I, you know. Tap a souvenir for something really physical from a boy or somebody really tall or whatever. I don't know if anything a cat knew about acrobatics would carry over."

Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "See this will be something we can work on checking. How long does an item need to be in someones possession, and is it one skill you gain or more, and how much of their skills do you get.

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir says, "I get whatever they were doing while they had the thing. So like, the head cook wears an apron every time they cook, and then they hang it up on the door. So if I walk in the kitchen and it's hanging there, I can cook, because that's what they were doing. But I don't get much else, because they didn't, you know, juggle or anything. If somebody grabs a dart and throws it, and I read the dart, I can throw the dart."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods his head a bit to this and says "Well, I believe we may start with some tests if your ok with itmonday, maybe get a bit better read on your powers. Needs to be skin to item contact?

Souvenir has posed:
Erika Kristasdottir nods, "Yeah, for me to read it, and then I connect to it whether I want or no. That's why I wear Rogue style gloves and sleep on a bed of grass. I'm around all the time, just let me know. I can't really get out much."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie nods, and says "I need to go, have to get to work, will talk to you soon.

Erika Kristasdottir thumbsups. "Awesome. I'll talk to you soon! I've got to crash so I can get my morning workout routine in in the morning."
