Location: Xavier's School, Westchester, New York
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Cannonball

Emma Frost has posed:
Christmas came. Went. And with the holidays drawing to a close, there wasnt any reason anymore for clandestine baking sessions of cookies to squirrel around the public areas of Xaviers for the students to find. And yet... here is Emma, in the kitchen, with all the fixings of a cookie dough in the making set out before her. And if you know your spices at all, she's set upon making hermit cookies.

Which, if you know Emma, might just be an ironic statement upon the woman herself.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie comes walking into the room. He has awrapped package in his hands, and smirks a bit when he sees Emma "Hey, how you doing?" He will ask her as he walks over closer.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma looks up from the central counter where her ingredients are spread out. She doesn't try to hide the fact that she's about to bake, even if it really doesn't seem her style. "Me? Well, if that's not a rhetorical question, I'm finding myself at a bit of a loss. However if it's merely politeness, then I'm fine."

Her lips twitch over a smile that barely comes to fruition. "And what are you doing haunting the kitchen at this hour?"

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "Well, I thought I would find a snack, woke up with a bit of the munchies." He will set the package on the counter, but not in the packing area. "I found a package with yur name on it, seems the mystery packages were not all found. I found this one with your name specificly on it. Loks like someoen might have wanted to make sure you have an ok christmas too, maybe it was a little late getting here."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma looks up from measuring flour into the bowl in front of her. "A package. For me." She doesn't sound like she believes it. "Who would leave a package for me?" Because in Emma's little world, things like that didn't happen.

Her gaze narrows down upon the young man. "Are you responsible?"

She can't help but peek at the thing, though she's yet to touch it.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Now, would I do something like that? The same chance of that would be if you were the one doing the whole secret presents laying around." He will say "Has your name on it though."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma chuckles. "Yes. I do believe you would." She gives him a shrewd look. "Why Samuel Guthrie, are you accusing me of having a heart?"

The blue of her eyes twinkles, belying the stern look she's attempting to give him.

"Fine. I was responsible. Other than the thigns Charles saw to. They're children, Sam. They shouldn't be punished because of who and what they are. It wasn't a large matter for me to see that they were treated and made to feel special. However, it didn't seem best to advertize the fact. I'm not exactly well received here."

Emma sighs, and dusts her hands off on the apron she's wearing - yes, Emma is wearing an apron, complete with smudges of baking upon it - and looks over at the package. "It's been brought to my attention that I need to re-evaluate my approach here at the school, only I find myself perplexed as to how to rectify the situation."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "Then yes it is from me, and I understand, I always made sure, the other kids knew they were welcome to come home from me, and you may have just pointed out part of the problem your having Miss Frost.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma gives Samuel a questioning look, "Oh? Do tell."

She reaches for the parcel, and finds the spots where the tape has held the paper together, wrapping it neatly, and undoes each individual tape one by one - whether because she's not a ripper, or because she wants to prolong the experience is hard to tell.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie says, "You want to have the students feel they can come to you, you have to let them see your somewhat of the nice person. If they think your cold, they are less likely to come to you. The prof while a bit harsh always made sure to let us know he cared, even if at times we did not think he did."

Emma Frost has posed:
"The truth is," Emma says as she undoes the paper, revealing the gift within, "it was always going to be a difficult fit here. I ran the rival Academy. My motives were always going to be suspect." She pauses. "I don't precisely know how to be warm and inviting."

Which, whether he knows it or not, is a monumental admission from Emma.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie hmms and says "Well perhaps, Ah can help, and will try to help with it." He will tell her. Inside the package is a crystal apple with a crytal graduation hat on it. "I thought it was something you might like."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma fingers the apple. "Thank-you." Looking up to him. "For both things, really. And I am sorry we got off on the wrong foot. The students need guidance that we can't rightly give them. Peer support was a wise decision on Charles' part. I do trust you've been made welcome otherwise?"
