Cast of Characters: Beryl, Ekaterina Vespucci

Beryl has posed:
The veterans' home has a new resident. Captain America suggested that the nanodroid Minoke could stay there. So she went - she had nowhere else to go, and she has made herself useful. Her talent for metal-shaping has come in handy for she has fixed some electrical conduit and even some old rifles that some of the veterans had. She is sitting on the floor - the sofa is a bit too creaky to support her weight comfortably, as she is watching children's shows on the television, eyes wide as she watches Road Runner outwit the coyote. She is trying to understand the purpose of the show. A young-looking woman with bright red hair and a glowing green gem centered on her forehead - she would stand out very much compared to the other veterans, but everyone has taken a shine to her.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Ekaterina Vespucci has her own charities but she does on occasion migrate around the city to help various other non affiliated ones. Today she is in the veterans home bringing some supplies that were suggested by the people who run the home. Her cornflower blue eyes light up as she enters. She is a small creature maybe a might over five foot dressing down in college student clothing and carrying way too much for her frame with a large box being shoved around in front of her. "Just over here?" she asks one of the verterans.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke runs over and grabs the boxes. The odd new girl is very strong. "What is all this stuff?" she finally asks. "That's a lot to carry in one load." She smiles as she puts the boxes where directed, smilign softly. "I'm Minoke, by the way. They're letting me stay here till I figureo ut what to do next. I'm from out of town."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
Ekaterina is appreciative of the help from the enthusiastic 'young woman' but is also incredulous. she has one of those faces which are the easiest to read. No poker face at all. Kat letting Minoke grab the box says, "Just sundries a few bits and pieces. Food toiletries of the better kind. I'm Kat." she offers her name in kind.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke nods. "Yeah... and..." She squints. "Seems like some new silverware for the kitchen. And a frying pan." She never looked in the boxes - but somehow can tell. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Kat. I'm trying to figure out what to do here - but obtaining a lodging of my own is surpirisngly difficult. I don't undrestand the process."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"It usually just involves the exchange of currency," Kat says. "That I know quite a bit about. I own a few businesses some of which people say could never be profitable but I do fine." This college student looking person is a business woman? Well Kat looked like none of the things she actually was.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke nods. "I don't undrestand this world very well. All I know is that certain metals are valuable - such as silver and gold. Metal is all I really know about and care about." She ponders softly. "It is... basically what my life literally revolves around." She slumps. "Maybe too much so."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"So you're not from here hey? I can relate being different myself. I'm a mutant and I have been around perhaps for way too long." Kat causally makes the admission now. There are so many wierdos around she was positively mundane just being a long lived mutant.

Beryl has posed:
Minoke blinks. "I am... different... even moreso. I am..." She frowns. "Alien, I suppose the best thing would be. In many ways." She smiles faintly. "So... ummmm...." She sighs softly. "Maybe you could help me with this? I think I'd need a job... and a source of income. I only have a small amount of gold and silver at my disposal... I don't want them wasted..."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"A job? What can you do?" Kat asks, "I mean what would you consider are your core marketable skills? Have you abilities that people from here do not possess? I mean the mundane people not the wave of superhumans and mutants that are populating the world in ever increasing numbers?"

Beryl has posed:
Minoke nods. "I can reshape metal at will by contact," she muses softly. "I could fix broken items - or... make jewelry." She ponders. "I just don't know what 'marketable' means." She smiles faintly. "I know that broken things are just thrown away. I can fix them... if metal."

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"You can sculpt metal then? That could be considered useful from my standpoint. I own a number of commercial galleries. But if you are talented at fixing things maybe repair job? Steve Rogers suggested you live here? I'm suprised the avengers couldn't find a use for you?"

Beryl has posed:
Minoke smiles. "This is temporary. Well... ummm.... they're some issues going on and they're trying to work things out." She smiles softly. "Yes, I can sculpt metal. Or... devour it." She smiles faintly. "I guess electricity is also important - I feed on it and can use it." She smiles faintly. "I am also great at defending people I care about. Try to pick me up." She smiles as she wonders what will happen when this tiny woman tries to pick up a 550-pound gynoid.

Ekaterina Vespucci has posed:
"Oh I can't lift you. That's a given I didn't get any strength augmentation from the whole mutant thing. I got all the 'tels' though. Teleportation, telekinesis and telepathy. I have never successfully completed even one pushup." She taps her chin, "Issues with the Avengers? Shouldn't that Fury character be on top of that?"
