Synopsis: Magic users meet to discuss the #BlackSleep epidemic.
Cast of Characters: Loki, Magik, Nina the Conjuror, Raven
Tinyplot: Pied Piper

Loki has posed:
The magical community has been meeting together heavily over the past few days. Whoever was sending out invitations is no longer just one person, many magic users are taking up the call to get together to share information to fight against the #BlackSleep.

The Sanctum is a meeting place, a clear place for mages to come together in safety. As another general invitation goes out, meeting at the Sanctum's front was chosen as the site, to have another meeting.

From inside the Sanctum a young teenage mage orients on this, and slides a few books back into place on the shelves, closing his own tome with a quick motion. The mage isn't a foreign sight to those of the Sanctum; he'd been one of Dr. Strange's allowed magi. He picks up his satchel and heads towards the front, sliding his book away as he walks.

Magik has posed:
Illyana had planned on seeking out the Sorcerer Surpreme sooner but had found herself delayed. Thus when the invitation was sent, she made sure to finish up her tasks and arrived outside the Sanctum through the use of a stepping disc.

Once she had been let inside, she took up a spot to the side of the room where she could wait. She didn't go about greeting others. Social butterfly hadn't really ever been her calling so she wasn't going to start now.

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
Walking through a door, Nina shakes her head as she idly writes something in a journal and then looks up and blinks. She spots two new faces that she hasn't met before and raises a hand to wave. She gives a look over to each, assessing each before she finally snaps her journal closed and states, "I'm Nina. And you two are?" She looks over at Illyana and then hmms idly as she gives her another look over and then back to Loki before saying, "Honestly, why are all the mages of this universe seeming to be quite young?"

Raven has posed:
The trio of visitors to the Sanctum are allowed, on no particular conditions. Each one, of course, had to knock and receive the greeting of Wong. None of them as yet have seen the current Sorcerer Supreme, of course, as each is welcomed into the lobby- of course Larkin is welcomed directly into the Library itself.

Very soon, however, the nature of the Sanctum changes. Instead of merely being in the Foyer, the trio all- less problematic for Larkin of course- find themselves within a large and impressive library, which seems to have suddenly grown a large front door. All quite suddenly, from a railing on the second 'floor' of the library, Raven appears. Cloaked, as become her usual, she speaks up.

"Greetings. What has brought you to the Sanctum Sanctorum?"

Loki has posed:
"Yes, we're all exactly as old as we appear. I'm actually this many," the young teenage male mage teases Nina in response, showing a hand with four fingers. He's kidding, of course, it was a teasing little joke from the young one. "I'm Larkin, here. Hi." He doesn't offer to shake hands though.

A smile is given to Illyana, following Nina's gaze to her. He changes the satchel to his other shoulder when Raven arrives, looking up at her, and then aside to the other two.

"...The people that are asleep, being squeezed for their dreamjuice, and not waking up brought me here," 'Larkin' says slowly. He looks at Nina, and Illyana. "Is there something worse?"

Magik has posed:
"Illyana," offers the young woman. When she continues, her accent is obviously Russian. She gives a shrug to the query from Nina, though maybe it was a rhetorical question. "Because some of us were given no choice at a very young age."

When Raven appears, she gazes up at her, thoughts chasing each other through her head. A glance at Larkin as he explains and she nods. "I was seeking the assistance of the Sorcerer Supreme of this realm in trying to track the cause of this enchantment."

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A look over at Raven as the room changes and frankly Nina is non-plussed. She used to work with the Ancient One, strangeness came with the territory. She idly looks up at the woman and then over to Larken a moment before considering him, "Sure." She then looks over at the others again a moment, "I'm here about the Blacksleep as well. Specifically about the woman named Elle who I spoke to recently."

Raven has posed:
Rachel Roth says, "@emit
Imperiously, Raven looks down upon the others present, her neutral features almost bordering on negative. She has this... Light, resting frown that never seems to leave her features. Slowly, she floats upwards, and then over the railing. After a few short moments further, she lands on the ground amidst the other mages. "Yes. I am sure you are that age." she remarks to Larkin- though the way she has rebuffed his obvious fib is a little more... Weighty. There's a doubt there that's genuine, even if most of her statements are thickly sarcastic.

"My name is Raven. I am currently the Sorcerer Supreme." This note is gravely spoken. "For the moment, at least. If you need assistance in regards to something other than this Black Sleep, I shall have to refer you to my assistant, Wong. Otherwise, I am here." Her attention shifts to Nina, and she nods to the woman- but she's handling Illyana for the moment.
"

Loki has posed:
"Aw, you caught me in a lie," Larkin complains at Raven teasingly, mischief apparent in his bright eyes. He looks across at Nina, after taking in Raven's interesting entrance and floating. He's indifferent, for the most part. But that's not an odd behavior for a teenager to have: nothing impresses them.

"Elle, the one who was claiming to heal people, you mean?" he asks. "What's her method, do you know?"

Then his gaze tracks to Raven, with curiosity. "Any new information, Ms. Supreme? I'm working on finding some artifacts that I think will boost our rituals for actually stopping this guy. I don't much like that plane myself."

Magik has posed:
As Raven joins them on floor level, Illyana glances to Larkin and Nina once more. "So it seems all of us are here for the same reason." She looks back to Raven. "On Earth, my powers are not as strong. I had hoped we could pool resources and try to track the source. If any of you have not already managed to do so?" She glances around again.

To the group, she continues. "I have found two things. I can break the sleep using my Soulsword. It will break spells and works. But it only can work on one person at a time and can only be wielded by me so it isn't an answer. I can also protect people by taking them to Limbo. They will wake up there but if the come back here and fall asleep, the can end up under the spell again. I try to take those I can with me to Limbo when they need to sleep now." Her pale blue eyes focus on Raven. "Have you had any luck discerning the source?"

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A look over at Raven and she hmms, "Well, I have met with Elle and she was not forthcoming about her abilities but..." She looks to Larkin, "I found that this woman seems to have some faith in the Norse gods. She may even be one given the power of gods and the power she has shown to have. She states that only those of faith can be helped." She nods her haed, "She was not willing to offer me any help or otherwise without it and stated that breaking the hold was incredibly taxing, potentially deadly. That being said..."

She looks over at Illyana and hmms, "Such a thing that you describe states that the power is not interdimensional which is an important thing to know. Which means, if we find the source and send it to another dimension...we win."

Raven has posed:
"There is a place to which I can take victims that breaks the link as well. When they are returned, they do not immediately return to the sleep. That is fortuitous." she states, taking a moment to look at Larking. "Yes. I have caught you in -a- lie." Her remark is rather sharp. Apparently, something has happened that bothered her greatly, and somehow, her tone at the very least implies that Larkin is responsible.

"I have not yet pinpointed the source, but someone has. I am sure that if anyone here has any more information, they will make it rather... Immediately present. As far as Elle is concerned... She seems like a zealot. I don't work well with zealotry."

Loki has posed:
"So, basically we need a Norse God?" Larkin asks Nina, curiously. "Yeah, no problem," he says, with a smirk and snort. "I'll just call up my Avenger friends on speed dial," he says, sarcastically. Yes, he's lying, he doesn't have them on speed dial. Thor hates phones. But there wasn't a lie in it being 'no problem'. It wasn't a problem.

Raven's comment about somebody knowing does draw a nod from Larkin. "Right, I have the source identified and the siphon location, if you want to aim that question this way," Larkin smiles to Illyana. "We can all take a field trip if you'd like. It's probably better to keep our footprint low though, and have a plan first."

Magik has posed:
"If we know the source, and we each have ways to take it somewhere out of this dimension, it seems that would be a good course of action," Illyana says as she looks to Larkin.

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
"Yes, but, that's not so simple as you think." She looks at Illyana before looking to Larkin, "And sure, we could use a Norse God but they are usually useless. Gods tend to be lunkheads or tricksters." She shrugs, "Either way, I'd prefer sorcerers to that." She nods her head, "I can drop things in other dimensions or I can simply put down a lot of damage. I'm better at teh damage portion than the tricky portion but then again, I do have my ways." She nods her head, "None the less, if we are going to try to move the source, I suggest we move it together. No other way."

Raven has posed:
Raven is silent, for the most part. She is a little difficult to read, of course- all that's visible is her face, and even that is below a hood. "I do not think -moving- this interdimensional entity, whatever it may be, will be the end of it. Rather, I do believe that this is going to result in a confrontation. There will be a fight. Incapacitating, or destroying it, may be our only option. Otherwise... The problem just begins again."

Loki has posed:
Larkin seems to switch gears: he gives Nina an amused stare, but then smiles privately, and simply listens to the conversation for a time, stopping his information offerings, and just taking in what their 'plans' are. His body languages changes only a little bit; he draws his book from his bag, to look something up, perhaps. It has been the first time the teen has actually stopped talking or assisting.

Magik has posed:
"So we have all of us. Not sure if you all have allies as well," Illyana notes, looking from one to the other. "I have a realm of demons that we can take the person to. If it becomes a confrontation, we will have numbers on our side in addition to the formidable powers we all presumably wield." Even if Larkin is a bit young, she isn't going to just dismiss him. After all, she took over Limbo when she was younger than he appears.

"You said you know the source? Is this a person that is attacking for a reason? What use would it be for someone to put everyone on the planet to sleep other than themselves? Unless they don't reside on Earth themselves and have some reason to wish for revenge on humanity?"

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A look over at Raven and Nina nods before saying, "Best to cut it off from whatever power it is gaining." She states and hmms at Illyana before nodding, "That might be the best way to go about it." She then looks over at Larkin again and states, "And suddenly you're quiet."

Loki has posed:
Larkin is looking at his book now, in a withdrawn manner, but he doesn't disrespect Illyana, he looks up when she asks him questions directly. He seems to consider whether or not he feels like answering, but selects to be nice about it.

"He's a demon, so I don't know that a place of demons would really bother him much," Larkin replies. He turns bright eyes towards Nina, smiles enigmatically, and then looks at Raven. It is a long, measuring stare. "If you have a problem with me, I'll go."

Magik has posed:
"I didn't think it would bother whomever, though that would've simplifed things," Illyana says with another shrug. "So it's a demon. They wouldn't have a problem with all of humanity being struck down. It could give them a chance to take over. Does this demon have a name? There is power in knowing it." Like she's telling them something they don't know. Preacher to the choir.

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
Looking over at Loki, she hmms and states, "A demon?" She asks and looks to Illyana a moment but then eyes go back to Larkin. She steps closer to him and hmms, "How do you know who or what he is?" She asks, "Where'd you get this information?" She idly puts a hand on her hip, "That is some rather interesting info."

Raven has posed:
"That it is a demon does not entirely answer the question." Her attention is firmly on Larkin, for the moment. There is something she's not saying, of course, but for the moment she's seemingly content in not saying it. "Where it dwells will be important... And demonology is something of an... Expertise, of mine. What information you have uncovered is going to be helpful."

Loki has posed:
Larkin smiles at Nina, and responds, "How? Because I'm very good at tracking subtle trace and mental magic. I tracked where the siphon was going, and I'm familiar with the dimension it's being pulled to. The leap was minor, he's the ruler of that plane, and a demon. I visited, carefully, to confirm it. He's collecting slaves, or something similar to that, I didn't ask him personally why. If you're nice to me, I'll let you have a scroll on the lore," Larkin says, gently. "I already offered a field trip to take anyone there, I fail to see how I've done anything other than help. As for the name, yes, I avoid names until absolutely necessary. They do have power. And I don't want anyone visiting and alerting him until we're ready."

He looks to Raven, next. "I'm going to go with a 'no', then, you don't have a problem with me and my willingness to help?"

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A glance at Raven and then she looks over at Larkin. She considers them both for a moment before she idly shifts in her spot, "You are very resourceful, Larkin." She idly taps her pocket lightly and then states, "And to go see this demon without getting killed or attacked makes me wonder about your motives." She nods her head at him before shrugging, "None the less, good work." She considers him a moment and then looks to Raven, "I will continue to research this."

Raven has posed:
Raven hasn't much to add. Her distaste for Larkin is as mysterious as it is complete, but he is offering useful information. That much, she seems to both know and acknowledge. Her stare is locked onto him for the most part, but very soon, she begins to float back into the sky of her own volition, making her way towards a section of the library they are all standing in. "We do not have much more time- but I will find this demon's name. Getting all of us there will be easy... Subduing said demon will be... Intriguing."

Loki has posed:
"I didn't go see the demon. I looked at his millions of slaves, and left," Larkin clarifies to Nina. He looks towards Raven, and shrugs. He'll leave her to it. "If you want to fight him, I can free the minds, once I sort out how he's doing it." Larkin looks tired, or bored, or both.

"I think I prefer Dr. Strange. I'm going to have to go get him, aren't I," Larkin grumbles quietly to Nina, before putting his book away, and striding towards an exit.

Nina the Conjuror has posed:
A look over at Raven again and she nods her head, "I don't knwo that I'd call it intriguing as much as I'd call it necessary." She nods her head, "You're cute but weird, I'll give you that." She nods to Raven before looking back to Larkin, "As for you, well, if you can release the minds and such of the people being held, all the better. I just think if we can move the source away from all of them, out of reach and then take on the demon we'll be better off."
