Aphrodite has posed:
It is a calm day in New York the sun is out the cabbies are swearing at each other.. Life is normal here in the big city. Aphrodite had heard stories about this city, and decided that if she were to come back to Earth this would be a good start. Shoping, people falling in love then out so fast it would make your head spin, it was perfect for her! So in the middle of the busy street she decends to the streets below. She had just teleported here in the sky floating down not really holding back her power as she had not needed to for a long time now. Then something strange happends in this big city, for just one moment... Everything goes quiet.

This isn't long of course before there is a smashing sound of a car hitting the back end of another. The hit driver not even looking back as he is just watching the woman decend from the sky. Where she lands people stop and just look at her with a almost zombie like obedience not speaking just yet. Aphrodite seems oblivious to this, as she just smiles making it more charming.

Not all the people seemed charmed, but a mass amount of people just stand in their spot as the chaos of that many people not moving begins around them. Aphrodite has arrived.

Amethyst has posed:
Chaos is Amethyst's least favorite word. But more than the chaos it's that magical sense of other that resonates with one of her crystals. Walking briskly, the blond princess has swapped her armor for more Earth palletable clothes. In this case, boots, jeans, and a purple sweater. Holding an amethyst object in her hands, Amaya follows it and picks up the pace as she rushes towards the street.
    Reaching the scene disappointment and curiosity linger on the woman's face. Assessing the situation briskly she starts to weave through the crowd, curious to see the source of this crowd stopping power.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz was working on her latest novel - she didn't havem uch chance to write while on Oa. She hmmmmmms softly as she is just connecting a few things when her ring starts flashing. "J-Bird! Something's going on in the city. There's reports of a lot of car accidents and odd behavior." Jessica sighs, rubbing her forehead. "Alright, fine. See if you can connect to the Justice League satellites." She snaps her finger, becoming garbed in the Green Lantern outfit, preparing herself.

She rockets up, flying rapidly towards the center of the city, Green Lantern logos flashing in and out of existence around her as she stays in midair, a bright Green Lantern logo hovering in the sky above her. Conjuring a megaphone, she announces, "Whoever is causing this disturbance, desist at once or I will stop you!" Her ring flashes with worry. "Hey J-Bird - I'm sensing... a massive singularity of violet energy... I don't quite get it. It's not quite like a Star Sapphire," announces the ring. She gulps. "Love energy, Anillo? Hopefully this person is not an enemy." She stays up, hoping that hoisting the flag will cause whatever this is to slow down.

Aphrodite has posed:
Aphrodite turns to face her crowd, and speaks her voice the perfect pitch and tone. "Oh my... I did not expect this kind of reaction." the tone, and her look when saying it shows that isn't true. Maybe she didn't expect this much, but she knew fully that people weren't going to handle it well. She looks through the crowd with a satisfied smile before looking up into the sky. She heard the woman on te megaphone... "This must be one of the heros Ares talked about." she adds in a excited tone. "Oh I so much wish I could see her."

This changes things a bit, as the crowd starts to move, and shove as they heard what the love of their lives wanted. They start climbing, and jumping.. Some look to start getting some rope.. Aphrodite does try to help with a "Oh don't hurt the dear." but they take that only as instructions to be careful if they can grab her. The whole mass that heard what she said is now moving toward Jessica as cars are honking trying to get by, and others moving to get under her for a better purchase. Everything jams up as they are trying to get through her.

Then in the middle of all of this a path opens up, and Aphrodite looks directly at Amy just the luck of the draw she was looking at that direction, and Amy can see her. Aphrodite doesn't look like a villian, she isn't mad or obsesive just curious, and happy. Though when she see's Amy she seems to lose her smile as there was magic about her. Aphrdite didn't know what it was, but she didn't like magic. "New plan.." she says and points right at Amy, "Stop her she is dangerous to me!" forgetting all about Jess now as the curousity is replaced by a bit of worry about this new person.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz just watches as a zombie horde blindly starts climbing to her... then suddenly changes course as she uses a magnifying glass to see what's going on. Even Jessica is thrown for a loop at first when she beholds the splendor of Aphrodite, but slaps herself to clear her head. "Some kind of supernatural aura..." she mutters. She ponders. "Let's see if it's presence - or sight." She zooms down - as a round wooden wall forms around Aphrodite, ten feet tall, opaque to block the view of the goddess. (It looks like a tree stump.) She lands by the one the crowd is headnig towards. She glances over at Amy. "What's going on here?" she finally mutters. "That woman... there's... something powerful about her... she doesn't like you?"

Amethyst has posed:
Blinking, Amaya watches as the crowd flows around this red headed woman. She holds up the crystal between them and it flares up with light. Pulling back a little, she waves her hand and it vanishes as suddenly the princess is confronted with a crowd turning on her. Looking over at the Green Lantern that lands by her side Amaya's appearance shifts. The street clothes are in the blink of an eye armor of gold with a dark blue body suit under and that weightless purple silk drifting on air. "No idea. I'm Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld. I'm League friendly." She offers and looks at the crowd. "I don't suppose you have a people friendly solution to this? I'm a brawler." Amaya glances Jessica's way before looking back towards the Goddess. "This has to be some kind of mind control from that one."

Aphrodite has posed:
From behind Jessica she can hear "No... No she does not." as the woman she had just trapped into the box is floating right behind her. Thankfully she did learn though it is somewhat sight, as the people around seemed to stop moving for a moment her presence right now is also a factor since they did not seem completly free. "She is magic... She is dangerous. You don't want her to hurt me do you." her tone taking a soft, scared tone. She smiles at Jessica, "And my name is Aphrodite.. Goddess of love, and peace." she glances around, "Well more love.."

The people are now moving towards her again as Aphrodite is out of her cage seeming to appear right out of nothingness behind Jessica. "If I can get from Olympus to Earth.. I can get through a small tree." glancing back at the constuct she made.

As she speaks to Jessica she does seem to keep her distance from Amethyst hiding behind Jessica to stay between the two. "Tell her to put her magic away, and I will call off the boys, and girls.... and dogs." she adds after a moment as even the animals are starting to head towards Amethyst.. Pet dogs, rodents, things of that nature which seems to surprise even Aphrodite though she doesn't seem to like the rodents too much.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz sighs softly. "Alright - enough of this," she states as the first construct vanishes and it appears again... as a giant 'tree' suddenly appears in the middle of the road - the goal is to surround Amethyst, herserlf, and Aphrodite and keep out unwanted guests. "Okay. So, this Princess Amethyst is walking along, minding her own business - and just because she has magic, you decide to use some freaky mind-control to turn the entire city against her? Not cool, whoever you are." She glances back and forth, moving back to stnad by Amethyst. "By my reckoning, you are the aggressor." She isn't looking direclty at Aphrodite, a translucent blindfold over her eyes so she can't see her directly.

Amethyst has posed:
Looking around at the construct that hopefully keeps the normals at bay Amy lets out a sigh of relief. "I really didn't want to start hitting First Worlders." She sighs and looks to Aphrodite exasperated. "It doesn't turn off. I /am/ magic." Her eyes stay on the goddess and widen as Amy nudges Jessica. "Who is she?" The tone a little reverent. Starting to reach up to adjust her tiara Amy catches herself and drops her hand with a squaring of her shoulders.

Aphrodite has posed:
Aphrodite pouts and looks at Jessica.. "I did not! She did walking right at me with whatever magic she is wielding." she glances around. "These aren't for her, they aren't for you either.. They are all feeling the love of Aphrodite their lives are now better because they know what true love is." She sighs, and watches her people uslessly bang on the construct. "I knew I should of brough Gigas.." she mutters though she has no idea how she would of got him here.

She shrugs, "Fine.. be no fun." looking at the people she holds up her hands.. "Go home.. love your significant other if you have one, find one if you don't!". Turning to look at Jessica who would feel a lot less of the presence then she did before, "Happy? Jesh..." and even kicks a stone.

The crowd for the most part seems to be heading out with purpose not all going the same way, but all are heading out into the city. They might do what she said, or they might search till it fades though each one is going to do exactly what she just told them to do. Aphrodite adds while watching them.. "If New York's Princess tries to hurt me I am going to tell my Brother you helped her."

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz keeps the construct up. "As a Green Lantern, my job is to ensure peace. Can you... turn down... whatever aura you have that makes people stupid by looking at you please?" She glances back towards Amy. "And you're not going to hurt anyone today, are you? She used the name Aphrodite. That's the goddess of love supposedly. This could be dicy if her name is accurate."

Amethyst has posed:
"Gemworld. I'm not even from New York...or Earth really." Amy points out and crosses her arms under her chest as she snaps too a little. Tilting her head for a moment, Amethyst eventually shakes it. "She's not an agent of chaos, I wasn't even looking for her anyway." She pouts at the flawless woman for a moment. "You're the one that decided I had bad intentions. Could have just asked." Looking at Jessica she sizes her up. "So, are you Earth's new Lantern? What happened to that one guy?"

Aphrodite has posed:
Aphrodite thinks about it.. "Humm.. You want me to look unkept, and not attractive." then smiles. With a flick of her fingers her whole shape changes. One minute she looks like herself, and the next she looks just like Jessica Cruz. "This will have to be close enough" she adds now in Jessica's voice.

The clothes and everything is what she was wearing before as she flexes a little. "Wow someone works out.. look at that." and laughs a little which to everyone would sound a bit different. The sound is more instincful to what gives someone joy more then a sound that escapes her lips so each person could hear the same sound or different ones.

The power of looks is gone now as she moves forward to lightly rap on the construct. "It is safe to come out!" looking at where she heard Amethyst's voice she adds, "A god does not ask mortals for things.. come now what kind of barbarians do you take us for?"

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz sighs as she rubs her forehead. I'm not sure you can be trusted to not cause more discord just with your presence," she states softly. "And... it appears that you have a very thin skin and a short temper. All I was asking is that you try to... suppress... your power a bit? You caused several car accidents and disrupted thousands of lives with your mere presence." She glances back at Amy. "There's like four or five human Green Lanterns now. And as far as I know, one Blue and two Violet. I heard rumors of a Red. I got to punch that annoying loudmoth redhead Guy in the face though." She turns back to Aphrodite.

Amethyst has posed:
Amaya balks a little at Aphrodite's words. "Mortal? As if!" She scoffs and lifts her chin a little. "No one's even heard of you where I'm from." The princess props her hand on her hip and looks over at actual Jessica. "Sorry about the accidents and all that. It's nothing I can fix-but good news, not a fight. And I was thinking about a guy with brown hair. There's a lantern named Guy? That's unfortunate."

Aphrodite has posed:
Aphrodite frowns at Jessica as Jessica.. "In a thousand years you mortals have gotten a bit lippy." she adds then shrugs. "I should of know this would come from a hero though, I have heard of your group while I was in space though I will admit this is the first time I have met one."

She glances at Amethyst, "Another dimension... I see that would explain a lot." now that she isn't threating her Aphrodite looks at hera bit more closly. "Humm... You are right I don't think I have ran across your race, but it is so hard to tell anymore." she walks back a bit and spins a bit in a circle. "This earth is so much fun.. The people are so desperate for love, and way more numerious then they were." she glances back at Jessica, "Why should I keep this from them, sure it might be a bit chaotic, but in the end there will be only love not war.. How is that bad?" with a nod towards those people at left.. "How much should I limit myself if I can make people truely happy?"

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz blinks as she just sighs, sitting down in a construct chair that appeared just in time. "Because it's a form of mind control. Yes, your powers are great but... you're wreaking havoc. Can't you see that? It's not all about you." She sighs as she moves out of the road, pulling the tree-trunk construct with her, but not letting Aphrodite out, shrinking it down so traffic can flow - she also makes it more opaque. "Your idea of happy I call a drug. And... withdrawal's a bitch."

Amethyst has posed:
Resolving to keep her own feelings squashed down, Amy lifts her chin a little. The construct moving startles her and she turns her eye on Jessica. "Am I stuck while you do your job too? Not that it isn't interesting-but being cooped up with a love goddess can't be good for anyone and I'm pretty sure my host here is seeing someone so I don't want to carry that mess home with me." She hooks a thumb at Aphrodite before glancing at the goddess. "I mean that in the best way."

Aphrodite has posed:
Aphrodite looks over at Amethyst again, and nods. "Perhaps I was wrong about you Princess, at least you know to add a little respect whe talking to the gods. I think it is time I showed our friend out there why that is so." and gives her a wink. Then like that she is out floating infront of the construct looking at Jessica with a serious look.

"Don't you want love.." she disapears and reapears slightly her left.. "I mean that feeling it gives you that you just want to do anything for that person as it gives you joy." she stops and hovers there as she thinks. Though the look, and presence are gone so she doesn't seem to be trying any control just speaking. "That joy of eating... what is for you.. Pan-cakes?" knowing the taste the feeling of warmness that feeling of love even if it is temporary. That is all I am giving them."

She teleports behind her, "I can give that to you too. It doesn't have to lead to chaos those people were just messy, and unorganized." she smiles, "With true love... You could do better."

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz blushes faintly at the mention of pancakes - which proved another issue - Aphrodite can see into her mind. She dropped the construct tree - it's no good. "The problem," she notes, keeping the translucent blindfold on so she doesn't get the full dose, "is that your power is... too much for a normal human. You overwhelm all they are with your presence. Look - just your presence caused a riot. Can't you see... what you're doing? You mean well, but you're causing chaos in your wake. You sent A MOB on an innocent person just because you didn't like something about her. All I ask is that you pull it in a little. Sure, look like yoruself - but... don't overwhelm anyone who sees you just by seeing you." She shivers, trying not to mention that only her willpower is stopping her from sinking to her knees. This person's presence is... so much!

Amethyst has posed:
Gambling on her magic to keep Aphrodite from paying her too much mind, Amethyst watches the display of power and shifts her focus back to Jessica. She opens her mouth before a shiver runs from head to toe. This close even she can feel it and Amy sighs wistfully before snapping a look at Aphrodite. "Can you not?! This kind of distraction is the last thing I need. Turn it off!" She waves a hand at her-no magic or anything, just annoyance. "I'm not touch you with all my big bad magic."

Aphrodite has posed:
Aphrodie sighs as she fails yet again against the lantern. "Very well.. Your willpower is strong they have chosen well for a lantern." and smiles at her. She turns back to herself, and though the presence is there slightly it is held way back. So either she just started to do that, or was playing with Jessica a bit as she did have control over her powers though looking at her directly might still be a little tough. She glances down at Amethyst, "Sorry about that... had to give it one last shot." and holds up her hands in a playfull giving up. "I did so hope to get a hero today, but my luck I got one of the stubbern ones."

Landing down again she looks at both of them, "You don't think I would really be worried about a little magic... do you?" she grins a bit mischiviously. "What I don't think either of you get is this is a game.. We look down at you growing, and learning influencing things beyond what is important just for this place."

She takes a big breath in just to smell the place which isn't prob the best smell.. "But it is boring just doing the busy work, and making sure things keep doing what they are supposed to be doing.. Soooooo boring" she adds, "So a little mob here, a little scared there.." she stops and looks at Amethyst, "I do appreciate when people are kind to me.. So." she reaches into a pocket, and tosses her a stone. It isn't magical, or really special just a rare ruby. "It isn't much, but I find a small bit of humor giving it to you." and winks.

Finally she turns bak to Jessica once more.. "And to you.. I doubt you would take anything I had to offer... So just know I will be watching.. you can not run from love forever." With that she turns and disapears once more.. This time she doesn't repear anywhere just there one moment gone the next.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz just slumps as she shakes her head, panting. "Damn... I... almost couldn't hold back that aura... but... I did." She gazes at you. "That was a mess. Oh well. You going to be okay?"

Amethyst has posed:
Amaya holds up the ruby to catch the light and looks into it. "Very nice. I can do some good magic with this." She notes in pleased tones and glances at Jessica. "Am I? I mean, I think I might watch a couple romance movies over ice cream and have a good cry." She lifts a shoulder. "I miss home, there aren't any princes here thank goodness." She sighs and pockets the stone. "How are you? You did well to keep face."

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz blinks. "If I didn't, I'd be even worse of a Green Lantern than I think I am. Willpower is what we are about." She blinks. "I think I'm going to go home and watch some hockey. That'll get me in a better mood."

Amethyst has posed:
"I might go train, burn off energy. Another hero's giving me permission to crash at his place while I'm Earth-bound. Not sure I want to take a chance after brushing elbows with a love goddess." Amaya gestures and a blade forms in her hand of amethyst colored crystal. She sheathes it and looks at the Green Lantern. "I won't use it on anyone-don't worry." She notes and starts to wander off herself with a toss of blonde locks.
