Poseidon has posed:
A tall black stallion gallops along the beach for several miles before slowing down to a trot and then stopping entirely. His nose is lowered to the sand and he sniffs for a bit before rising back up again. He shakes off some of the sand that sprayed onto his coat when he was running as he slowly moves along the coastline again.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd is watching from afar via a drone that looks like several children's balloons carried by one of the street vendors. He saw the prisoner and briefly wondered "Can I do that?" and found that he could. Right now, however, he is anticipating Kid to be here, which is why he is monitoring the area. The humans are plebes at best.

Kid has posed:
Kid was certainly around. Despite the cold of january, he wore little more than jeans, boots, and a hooded sweater...semi-trying to blend in, he opted to just be his gorilla self, unaware he was even potentially being monitered. But upon seeing the black stallion, Kid became curiouse. He never seen a horse up close without a rider to say the least. He begins to cautiously approach the horse.

Black Queen has posed:
It's a beach and it is during the day due to the fact that there's some children's vendor out with balloons. Laying on the beach is a woman, though she's a rather attractive woman in a bikini... that itself may not draw a lot of attention. But she has some kind of makeshift gazebo that she is laying under, that is just being finished being setup. Walking inside of it there are a few beach chairs for her to lay on and in front a volleyball game is being setup. THere are attractive men and women who are starting to play, and it appears like it is for Selene's entertainment as she shouts out, "No. No no. Please, start over. More energy. You... the curly redhead, you serve. I like the way you jump far better. Now, go, if I think you are not putting your all into it. Well, to the sharks for you." There aren't any sharks around, at least not that are visible, must be some kind of metaphor. Despite the cold, she's relaxing while many of her players are in swimshorts and bikinis, shivering as they play.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Look, a woman is out riding her horse on the beach! It could be like a scene straight out of a romance novel... Specially if it was a headless draft horse? NO wait, the rider is like -waaaaay- to far forward on the equine... On maybe closer inspection, one might notice a well redhead woman's torso litterally attached to a very large clydesdale mare... Ok so she's a draft centaur.. Anyway, she's moving at a quick pace, at a bit of a gallop. Maybe Kae is actually trying to get some exercise in, or just try out that centaur form of hers... Who knows...

Either way, she's drawing a little attention, but for some wierd reason folks aren't generally freaking out. Kae sighs and looks out to the water, then down, noticing the feathering on her feet's well soaked with water and has a healthy coating of sand.. "Ah well..." She mutters and shrugs before she trots over to a large shade umbrella that doesn't seem to have any kind of well down stick holding its self in the ground, it's like just the canopy there floating in air, and it's a big one as all of Kae can fit under it. Nearby is an auburn-headed girl in a one piece suit a sarang and a witches' hat. There's also a couple blonds, all college age it seems, and all wearing various sarongs with floural pattern two pieces and of course.. a witche's hat...

Kae sees the hat and blinks a few times "Really?" She asks curiously... The all three grin at her "Really! You need to really relaxe for once Boss... You've been fixing other folks with similar conditions to yours and not had any rest... so reeeest..." The auburnheaded girl grins "You are really pretty when yer out running though..." Kae blinks..

The redheaded centaur then looks at the the auburnheaded girl, Wendy, and mutters "Hahahaha, thanks Wendy... Next time you can have the 4 legs and the fur..."

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin Fairchild Is one of those humans, She's not wearing a swimsuit right, but she's got her arms around her knees watching the waves trying to calm her mind When your mind goes 1000 km an hr already it's hard to do. She sighs to herself " Stupid Cait so stupid.. why did you say that stuff".

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd is pleased that Kid is secure in his Gorilla identity enough to appear that way. It means going public was the right move and despite his absense from Gorilla City for a few months to test all of his people, some have done better than others. He continues to wath with interest.

Poseidon has posed:
The horse has since reached the populated are of the beach where Kaelyn is. He also notices Kid approaching him but doesn't seem bothered by it. His tail swishes a bit as he starts to walk towards the crowd of beach-goers, closing the distance between himself and Kid. He's hard to miss at this point and it no doubt rather strange to most people that a horse -and- a centaur are travelling along the beach.

Black Queen has posed:
Pulling down her expensive, ridiculously so, sunglasses Selene takes a look at some of the commotion. She grumbles a bit, "Is this a beach or a zoo? By the love of the gods." She shakes her head with a disapproving look. The volleyball players, for their effort, are working hard at playing the game. Some of them still shake with the cold, but they are starting to work up a sweat. These volleyball players must really be focused, as they pay no mind at all to the gorilla man, the centaur or the horse (which seems like the most sane thing about right now).

As the horse type creatures start riding into her 'area' of the beach though, she starts to stand up and sighs out, not yet moving in their direction. For those with extrasensory powers into the psychic or magical realms, Selene carries with her the darkness of hundreds of thousands of deaths that have been used to fuel her over her extend life. Shadowy, screaming souls, that linger about her in some form of foreboding cloud. For those without, she does seem to have a very upset expression on her face.

Kid has posed:
Kid takes a double take at the scene. A apparently wild horse...a centuar, a bunch of idiotes wearing bikinies at the beach - and it is winter. He slaps his face a few times to make sure he is awake and takes another double take. Nope he wasn't dreaming. He grunts thinking to himself (At this point I swear I am a magic magnet). He especialy eyes Kaelyn - last time he ran into her...he was robbing a store.
    Anyways not much of a talker yet he sees the horse passing close. He approaches and actually tries to reach out telepathicly o O ("Well, what's a horse doing all the way out here?"). If it made it through the touch would be well meaning...not that he actually expected a response.
    Of course...there was also aggrivation. He let out a low and rather angry growl. He sense the death comming off Selene, though he hasn't quite pinpointed it yet. But it was scratching at him. Gnawing away. He flexes and unflexes his fingers at the sensation. He quietly tries to sense where it comming from. weather it is from around Grodd, or Caitlyne or where-ever. He was merely putting out feelers instead of intruding on minds proper.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Grodd is well familiar with Selene and a basic admirer of her work. The psi potential shows on the sensors calibrated to Kid but the horse and the woman near him merit interet though Kid is still his primary area of interest. The balloon separates from the others floating closer so it can get good sound as one of his servants in the safe house brings a bowl of popcorn as he munches with interest. Kid would get a VERY faint gorilla sensation from the balloon.

Poseidon has posed:
The horse looks in Kid's direction and he does indeed get a telepathic response, "Interesting.." Not at all something that a normal horse would say even if horses could be telepathic. There is indeed something very strange about this horse and any energy readings of him would be off the charts. He does glance at Selene but does not seem bothered by her presence.

Black Queen has posed:
Quickly snapping her attention back to the volleyball game, Selene moves forward. "You... girl. Yes, you have -not- been giving this your all. Have you?" And she gives a shooing motion to the woman, who then with a somewhat frightfilled gaze looks to the water. Then back to Selene, and then back to the water as her legs start moving her, and she seems to be straining on her way to the water. "Yes, go swim." Smiles Selene, "It will be fun. Hope you are better at it than volleyball." And Selene nods her head a few times, and smiles again, "Off you go now. Good bye." And she moves to be on the other side of the makeshift volleyball court, looking around for someone who might make for an additional player.

Fairchild has posed:
Caitlin Fairchild Sighs a she slowly rises up and slaps the sand off " enough go talk to her " She says to herself she starts to move off quickly she doesn't really look, or she'd stop when she spotted all the fun, but of course she's too focused and misses out walking away from the beach.

Kid has posed:
Kid blinks and double takes at the horse o O ("Well...this is a new experience. Never met a horse that responded back. Huh. Well, who are you?") after meeting the son of jommunjor, this was a cake walk! But yet it still elicited curiosty and excitment in Kid...as much as he tried to ignore the nagging sensation. He glances to the balloon...noticing it was apart from the other. He got a fain't sense from it...but it was too faint to be of much bother yet.
     But than he is looking to the girl who is being told to swim, than to Selene. That twitch grow stronger as he began to get the sense it was her it was comming from. He mentally grumbles ("Something is wrong here....too wrong") he wished the feeling would go away.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae ummms and looks around "Just so ya know, and yeah I don't get out very often and all girls, howeeeeveeerr it's winter... " The blond girl grins "Since when does that bother us?" Kae then umms "I have no clue..." She says as the blond holds up a ring.. "Yeah yeah we can cheat... Still I think we stand out like a sore thum..." Kae looks out from under the little canopy cover and notices well a horse, sans rider, and Kid.... She tilts her head, tail lashing a bit and settles on a large towel now, folding her legs under her while she watches the goings on.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd watches with interest, curious what Kid is going to do. The sensors in the balloon are more than capable of hearing everything on the beach but he is also enjoying the game, curious who is going to win. The apes in the background begin a series of betting pools that Grodd does not deign to participate in.

Black Queen has posed:
The volleyball player that Selene had denoted previous now is at the water's edge, walking into the incoming tide. She gets to about knee depth before jumping forward and starting to full on swim. Selene watches long as the woman starts to speed out to see. With a bit of a smile, Selene states, "Keep playing..." And with renewed vigor the volleyball players start to play and the volleyball bounces about.

For her own measure, Selene starts walking closer to the horse and ape. The horse draws some interest now, as the Black Queen starts closing in ranks. The force of her walking death party coming along with her as she closes in as well, with Kid. "How is it that the legend goes? Athena and Poseidon were fighting over who could rule over man. And it was Athena who brings the olive tree, for peace and house making. But Poseidon, so one tracked that he is, brings the horse for plowing and war. A lie perhaps? Exaggeration, I would say." Not talking to either horse or ape specifically, but loud enough for both of them to hear.

Poseidon has posed:
The horse responds to Kid telepathically, "My name is Percy. I have never met a gorilla capable of telepathy but I have heard that much has changed during my long sleep. What is your name?" The horse shuffles a bit and glances at Kaelyn again before his attention is drawn to Selene as she speaks. The horse once again does not seem to be bothered by her. He knows of what she speaks but has not yet decided to reveal himself, instead snorting as he lowers his nose to the sand again.

Kid has posed:
Kid response back o O ("In fairness, I too never met a telepathic gorilla - save for myself, untill just last summer. Turns out there alot of them!") not minding speaking with the horse o O ("I am Jua, though sometimes just go by Kid") However as the sensations of death, thousands of them come closer and closer...he finds himself furiously spnning around to face Selene and bare his canines at her with a deep growl. His fur was standing on end...and he even backs up. That sensation, that horrific sensation. He seemed almost crazy eyed. Maybe that why that woman just swam into the sea...he might just join her.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd munches more pop corn as he tasks a satilite to follow the human swimming out to sea. More bets are taken on how long she lasts or can swim out. Grodd is particularly interested that this is the actual factual Posidon and begins watching the entire conversation with rapt attention.

Black Queen has posed:
The volleyball games continues, and Selene just lightly glances over her shoulder to make sure the participants are playing hard. She didn't need to do that, she could easily sense it, but there's a distinct choice words about being watched, and the game picks up again in energy. Selene re-focuses on the telepathic chat going on.

"Much? I would say no more than when Atlantis drowned... peasants really, every last one of them." Her eyes go over to Kid who is glaring teeth at her, and she smiles to him, "Calm down, Jua, was it? I do not wish to expend the miniscule amount of energy required to devour you." Her tone is rather haughty, and she is speaking, not telepathically communicating.

Black Queen has posed:
Also, the woman continues to swim out further and further into the ocean, disappearing from normal human sight at this point. Those with extra capable senses could likely still detect her heavy breathing and or strokes of arms being washed out. She's accelerating as well, as water from shore tends to push out not in past the very ends of the tide.

Poseidon has posed:
The horse regards Kid again, Selene's response revealing that she can hear their telepathic conversation, "Fair enough indeed. It seems that we have an eavesdropper. I have no intention of revealing myself in front of these people. If you would like to be seen speaking with a horse then that is your prerogative Selene. Your dealings are not my business. The waters of this world are my concern, not the bickerings of my youth. I have no desire to rule over mankind anymore." To everyone else the horse is merely shaking his coat again. Just a normal horse.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae tilts her head a bit, glancing out over the water curiously, blinking... She squints a bit then her lips move, a few whispered words carrying more to senses not physical, but carry they do. An aura she usually keeps well hidden is briefly viewed, that of a full on mage of not inconsiderate power and all before suddenly the woman being sucked away by a rip-tide finds her self on the beach. Kae motions to The blond twins and motions to the woman who now finds her self near their little cover.. "Do what you can..." She says and then surges to her feet.

Kae wraps her torso in a blanket, then heads slowly toward the horse and Selene and well Kid, all of which appear to be having a very nice conversation.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd wonders briefly if Posidon is refering to him or Selene. He certainly doesn't want to piss OFF Posidon but his entry onto the scene of Earth is interesting. As it is, the gorillas in support are monitoring the girl with some debating teleporting her to the middle of the Sahara ala Buster Scrugg's style, which finally gets a glare from Grodd at wasting a teleportation fuel cell as he resumes watching Kid. He nods to himself. With this many beings of power, the odds of one of them being a hero were rather high. Ergo the real reason for his disapproval of the teleportation usage.

Kid has posed:
Nice is one way to put it. Kid fangs seemed bared as much as Selene as they are Kaelyn when she nears them. At the moment, he really could care less if Percy was really Poisdon - actually truth be told he knows nothing of Athena or Poisidon. But right now his focus was Selene o O ("Just try it. Got more than enough 'bite'.") not much careing who 'hears' at this point. Granted depending on Selene ability, she might recognize that this Gorilla was himself a psychic vampire of sorts. Not quite the same, but may be something she notices.

Black Queen has posed:
"I never did quite understand the infatuation of your family to wander about as a lower form." There's something of a roll of her eyes as she puts one hand on her hip, and the other is sort of gesturing about with her words. "You do not miss at all, the days when..." Her plaything out in the middle of the water is suddenly on the beach, and Selene frowns. "Pity." Turning her attention to Kid, Selene smirks a bit, and then starts to chuckle lightly, and smiles much larger, plush lips widening, "Oh? Be careful child, you could very easily bite off more than you can chew. And that, is how one chokes to death." And then she turns back to the horse, "Well, do as you will. This one approaching, she too has recently be cursed to walk the world as a beast." Her finger points in the direction of the centaur coming her way.

Poseidon has posed:
The horse replies telepathically, "I was foolish when I was young as many of us were, Zeus included. But with time comes understanding. I have outgrown my urges for excess and material gain. Those who still worship me are not my slaves, they are as sacred to me as I am to them. Their loyalty to me is rewarded with my protection and in some cases with power. You may know of the one called Aquaman. He is my champion and acts outside of my jurisdiction. That is the most I can do for the rest of this world. I will not intervene any more than that unless the waters are threatened and there is no other choice. Earth is well protected in my absence."

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd telepathically speaks to both of them through the Balloon. . o O "I went away for a while to make my absense a test for those who worked under me. The person to whom you speak is much more than she appears." To Selene he privately sends . o O "This one is under my wing, albiet obviously far out in leff field." He still listens with fascination to every word Posidon says.

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Aaand she can't understand the horse, but she does hear Selene "Curse implies someone deliberately put it there, in my case, a bunch of imps toss a whole bunch of magical items and detonate them, releasing all their magic in one go and I was at the epicenter... More like ummm... well hate to use the term but victim of chaotic magic... Chaos magic if you will, whatever, or maybe magical chaos, or mystical mayhem... In either case if it were a simple curse I'd be through with it..." Kae glances to Selene..

"Also lots of other folks to fix before I fix my self... Wasn't able to stop the imps from doing what they did, I can at least fix the damage they caused to folks before fixing my self." She says with a slight smirk.

Kae glances to Kid, and grins a bit "Yo.... Knocking off more produce stands?" She asks curiously. She winks playfully and well tries to cock a hip, does manage it, awell in a kind of equine way... She pauses, blinking a bit and looks down and back... "Yeaaah, thought so..." She mutters at the whole odd equine physiology and body language thing... "Gonna be pleased when I get everyone fixed and get my self done too...."

Kae stops being distracted and looks now at the horse who appears to be having silent conversation with the others... "Uhhh, hi?"

Kid has posed:
Kid growls o O ("Don't do damn tests, don't care.") he was getting riled up, he had no clue how to make telepathic shields, he has never needed them. He didn't like being near Selene, that much is evident. He rapidly almost violently scratches at his head in annoyance. He had gotten better...but he could still be wild at times.
    He back up more, or more like side ways siddle. If this Selene figure was interested in Whoever this fella was, fine. He will be glad to keep away. Kaelyn was better than this, and he found her annoying. He glances at her and thinks nothing of letting her in on the telepathy ("Still failing at basic hero work?") he quips back ("Horse there is percy. He nice. Whoever the woman is reeks of death and wrong and...bad news. Just plain bad news. It like....a constant murmer...but way worse") he wasn't sure how to describe it

Poseidon has posed:
The horse shakes his coat again and glances at Kaelyn silently. He does not attempt to speak to her for whatever reason. The horse seems to bow his head to Kid a bit as the gorilla introduces him to Kaelyn. Otherwise his attention shifts between Kid and Selene.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd arches an eyebrow at Kid's reaction. Not wanting the test, that was standard fare for him but this business of heroism...that was a new twist. Clearly he had to learn a bit more about the other people in Kid's life at this point.

Black Queen has posed:
The people playing volleyball are sweating profusely at this point, but they are continuing to play hard. And Selene isn't even watching them right now. She must really enjoy her own voice, as she speaks when clearly she needs not to even move her mouth to be heard, "Outgrown?" Selene scoffs at the idea, "I could be three times the size of your waters, and I would not have outgrown, what wonderful delights this era offers."

"Oh, no, this blabbering girl again." Selene frowns while she speaks, and then looks again in the direction of Kid. "I am Selene, by the way. Not 'this woman', or 'bad news'. I am actually the best news. I am the answer to many dreams."

Poseidon has posed:
Poseidon responds to Selene, of course telepathically, "Then that is the difference between us. Either way it is not my concern how you conduct yourself. You are the steward of your realm as I am of mine.. are are we all."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae shrugs "Oooh, I've helped save the world once or twice since we last talked. Done lots of small stuff too... But like all I have my successes and failures." She says and grins cheerfully before glancing around folks... Looking to 'Percy' now she nods bowing a bit. Though evidently not being talked at? She shrugs and looks now to Selene "Y'must not hang around a lot of artificers and enchanter types... We blabber, stick our selves in our workshops do lots of different things... I havn't even begun talking about some modern magical theories I and a few others have come up with." She adds and winks again... She then glances back at the folks playing volleyball.. tilting her head a bit to the left now as she studies them.

Kid has posed:
    ("Moving on up. Shocker") O o he replies, the sarcastic tone evident. He had went from a relatively good mood, to a sour sour. ("And a fountain of joy.") he said that with a bit LESS sarcasm. Kaelyn cheerful vibes at least offset Selene deathly ones to some extent. But otherwise he seemed pretty content staying away.

Black Queen has posed:
As the game continues, the volleyball gets knocked back and forth, and that's when the first person falls over. Perhaps feinting, or playing themselves to the point of utter exhaustion. And that takes most of Selene's attention as she smiles in the direction of the game. "Yes yes, my realm and all that. I think you are missing out Mister Ed." Her eyes are on the people are now beginning to collapse while playing, and the ones still standing are still playing as hard as they can. "You really ought to consider playing with your toys a bit more Percy. It is a thing you have been denied far too long." And with that she offers a slight nod of her head, "To you all then, I bid farewell. I should really get back to my guests."

Kaelyn Silverleaf has posed:
Kae shrugs at Kid "Be as satiric as you want." Kae says with a shrug. She watches Selene, and tilts her head seeing the girls... She sighs and takes a breath "Sorry to interrupt yer fun with the players, however I think now's a good time to stop before those girls start dropping dead?" She says curiously... then blinks as Selene leaves.... Kae turns and sighs and sets about doing what she can to help those poor women forced to play volleyball to the point of exaustion or worse....
