Cast of Characters: Jericho, Ravager

Jericho has posed:
It's been several days since the university network had gone down, but since Alek had been working with the police and staff, they've managed to get some basic functionality back, so things are at least sort of back to normal. Still a lot of police about, though, and no one's yet managed to figure out exactly who or what was behind all of the chaos. Despite the NYPD's suspicions, they haven't really been able to link the evidence together, including somewhat odd circumstances surrounding Joseph.

At the moment, he is waiting at a bus stop for a route headed off campus with a bunch of other students. Freshly fallen snow covers the ground, trees, and rooftops on this fairly chilly day in January. It's not coming from the sky any more at this point, but the wind is kind of blowing it about.

Ravager has posed:
The mercenary Rose Wilson has been keeping a sharp eye on the University since the incident that put her on edge. Seeing someone run down in front of her was enough, but Joseph's sudden (re) appearance motivated her to find more information. She wears a parka as she stakes out the University, walking amongst the students as if she belongs there, but ready a moment's notice to decapitate anyone who makes her more annoyed than she already is.

The dutiful Rose Wilson has been watching this large group of students gather and prepare to take their bus off-campus to their stupid learning activity at a stupid museum no doubt. She scowls annoyedly as she stops behind them on the sidewalk, watching them laugh and talk amongst themselves with so much innocence that it seems to bother her. She looks at this Jericho guy who she recognizes and takes a step forward to keep her view unblocked.

Jericho has posed:
Indeed, the students are making some good-natured conversation amgonst themselves, some of them even making inappropriate jokes about the recent murders while the others laugh it off. Yeah, it's annoying, but maybe it's a coping mechanism. As the bus pulls up and everyone starts to file in, Jericho notices her and tries to get out of her line of sight using the mass of other students boarding the public transit. It may seem strange, given earlier he had been the one to approach her.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson doesn't take her eyes off of this Jericho fella so she cranes her neck to the side to attempt to catch his movements. She then grinds her teeth and steps forward after the bus pulls up, making it look like she's readying to board. She tries to GRAB or put her fingers ON Jericho's arm to make it clear that she's right there and she remembers who he is, "Yeah I don't think you're going to make this bus," she tells him sarcastically.

Jericho has posed:
Jericho was about to step onto the bus when Rose suddenly grabs his arm. And she's ridiculously strong for someone her size. Great. He isn't sure how she'd so easily just shown up to that hit-and-run incident, as if she'd known it would happen ahead of time, but he figures she must be a metahuman as well. Still, there is -definitely- something strangely familiar about her that he -still- can't quite put a finger on.

Despite this, he doesn't really resist her, stopping and turning around to face her as the rest of the students board and the bus drives off, leaving the two of them at the bus stop alone for the time being. He watches her expectantly...what does she want?

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson frowns at him and keeps eyeing him as the students board the bus like cattle and drive off. You can cut the silence with a knife, which Rose might have on her, to be honest. "Why don't you say something, jackass?" she asks him indignantly.

She looks upset as the minutes tick by and she looks like she is falling into a deep, angry depression. Finally, she balls up her fists at her side like an pouting child and says, "I know who you are. You can't fool me anymore. You're my brother!" she says and gets all pointy finger at him.

Jericho has posed:
There's a tense silence that follows after Rose asks that first question, where Joey just sighs. He does get that a lot, from people who are...less patient. But his expression softens when the depression and angst becomes apparent on her face, and he can't help but feel some sympathy for her.

Reaching out, he puts a comforting hand on her shoulder, though he appears quite shocked at her claim of being his sister. Could it be? Was that why she looked so familiar? He hadn't known he -had- a sister, but it didn't seem all that far-fetched, given his father's...profession and habits.

Jericho takes out his phone and pulls up an old photo to show her from years ago of himself, late older brother Grant, his mother Adeline, and his father Slade back when he still actually married. Perhaps it's familar to her?

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson swipes his hand away from touching her and looks ready to fight him, "I know you--I..." she begins and then looks emotional, "I...don't really know you but I remember you. Why are you here? Why didn't you call me?" she wonders with hurt confusion.

She quiets down as she looks over the old photo of a past long ago, without her, without even her memory. She touches the screen compassionately, perhaps feeling for the smiling faces and longing to be part of a family group like that. "My mother wasn't this woman. Who is she? My mother is Lillian. I grew up in a foreign land...pretty far from your happy picture."

Jericho has posed:
Sure enough, it's as Joey expected. Slade had been with another woman after Adeline had...tried to kill him. Yeah, there's a reason he keeps that photo. It's a nice reminder of how things used to be. How he used to have a good, caring family and a relatively normal life. Like those other students that had been at the bus station with them earlier.

He pockets the phone and starts signing at her, <What's your name?> in the case she knows ASL.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson frowns as he signs at her and then looks sad, once again, and she raises her hands...only to sign back some gibberish. "I can't remember..." she comments, "That's pretty depressing," she says and sighs.

"My name is Rose and I was born in Cambodia. We have the same asshole father," she explains. She then motions for him to continue, "A few more...keep going," she says, apparently intent on trying to understand or pick it up.

Jericho has posed:
Ah, well not a ton of people know ASL. It's not exactly something that is required of everyone to learn. But Jericho listens to her introduction and signs something else this time: < Nice to meet you. > with a warm smile, then extends a hand for her to shake.

His gaze falls a little bit at the mention of said asshole father. Right..he hasn't been the best family man, that's for sure, but he at least tried. Okay, he's probably given Deathstroke a little bit too much credit, he has always been more of an optimist.

Ravager has posed:
Rose Wilson snatches Jericho's hand and seems to pause, as if considering twisting his arm and pummelling him to the ground. Instead, she smiles. It's a small smile, not a grin, and seems to give away some of her relief of finding family, "I'm glad to find you," she tells him. She shakes his hand.

Jericho has posed:
Jericho is similarly glad for the opportunity to maybe, just maybe, establish a good relationship with a family member as he shakes her hand firmly yet gently. Sure, she seems to have her own load of issues to deal with (honestly how could you be a Wilson kid and not) but he's hopeful. He nods at her words, taking out the phone again to write "Me too" on it with a stylus.
