Synopsis: A few more people learn about Doctor Strange in the medlab and go to investigate the situation.
Cast of Characters: Doctor Strange, Magik, Rogue, Polaris

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange is still confined to the medbay and he's still trying to get used to the idea that he has retrograde amnesia, as diagnosed by the blue furred Hank McCoy. This whole world seems ... outrageous. He sits up in his bed, and has the food table rolled close to his chest with his shaking hands no longer able to grasp, so he's just staring angrilly at his food before he uses both wrists to bring the cup and straw to his mouth to take a painful sip.

Magik has posed:
Having heard of the situation with Doctor Strange, Illyana had been approached. The problem was something a telepath couldn't fix. Thus, the thought had been perhaps magic might be involved. Call in the local magic user.

She knew the patient though, from what she understood, he wouldn't know her. That was a matter of great concern. She walked into the medlab, looking to the patient and giving a brief smile. She had a small satchel slung crosswise over her torso, with a few magical items within. When she spoke, it was with a faint Russian accent. "Doctor Strange, I'm Illyana Rasputin. I'm not sure if you remember me at all."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue had been down in the medlab for a little while now, but she'd been cleared to leave. She'd been in her own room/area of the medlab and had mostly used the time to sleep and rest after a difficult week that had left her mostly without her own memories of what had happened through it, the last night she even recalls was New Years Day.

As of right now though, she's sitting up a chair beside the bed she'd been in, now she's lacing up her boots and standing up, reaching for her leather jacket that someone had brought and left her here, but she's no idea who.

Situating her jacket over her shoulders, Rogue flips her hair out from beneath the collar so it falls down behind her shoulders and she steps out into the main area... only to see Strange? She can hear Illyana speaking to him and she walks toward them.

"Stephen?" Rogue says, a totally confused look on her face as to why HE is in HERE.

Polaris has posed:
Lorna had just arrived, hours before, with a car load of much belated gifts for the various friends that lived in the Mansion. Bobby had been there to greet her and in his own vague way, update her about recent happenings. At least where Rogue was and that they had a guest in the form of Doctor Strange in the medbay. Food had been acquired and she'd unpacked, but now? Now she thought might be as good a time as any to visit Rogue. It had nearly been a year since she'd seen the other young woman, but she was still a friend.

Thus, with a gift tucked under her arm, the green haired woman made her way inside just after Illyana entered. Her boot clicked as she walked, a loose fitting, high quality cashmere sweater hung off her shoulders and draped over her leggings.

"Hey... bad timing?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
"Rasputin..." Stephen says, his eidetic memory being scanned for the name and then he shakes his head, "I don't. No." The surgeon says with a frown before he sets his cup down and releases his wrists to rest on his lap. Stephen's hand shake as he even sits here and he seems to have not shaved in weeks. The man seems unlike himself, he's sour, pissed and dreadful to be around. He only responds to Illy so far as he doesn't to deal with anyone, and if he gets a chance to not interact he'll take it. Stephen's grey eyes to look over to Rogue and there's not a hint of recognition in those weary eyes, and then he looks to Lorna and scoffs, "Couldn't be worse." He says with a sour shrug.

Magik has posed:
As others enter the room, Illyana glances their way. She gives a nod to Rogue then Lorna in turn. The familiar way Rogue greets the Doctor is noted. "The Doctor was recovered and brought here. He has suffered some memory loss," she explains to the others. "As well as his physical form seems to have reverted as well. From what I was told. his mind has no blocks or signs it has been tampered with. His memories are simply gone."

She glances back to the Doctor as she pulls a small crystal out of the bag she carries. It is on a leather cord so it could be worn if needed but she allows it to dangle from her fingers. "If you will allow me to do some tests." It doesn't really sound like a request. "And do you require assistance with your meal?" Yup, she went there.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue steps up near to where Illyana is, a fellow X-er she knows, but doesn't know 'that well' outside of the halls of this subterranean stronghold. She glances over to Illy and then back to Strange as he gives a total cold shoulder, this makes her further peer her eyes in confusion. "I--"

The almost-20 year old looks over then at the familiar voice behind her right shoulder and she spots Lorna. "Oh, hey." she says to the green haired magnetic personality. "Its been forever!" She walks over to Lorna, but does give another glance back to Strange and then to Illyana who gets a nod at what she says about him. "I figured it was somethin' like that... Does Wong know he's here? He might be able t'help."

Back to Lorna, Rogue looks. "You doin' all right?"

Polaris has posed:
A crease of her eyebrows followed as Strange and Illyana continue on as if she weren't there, and effectively, for all that Lorna knew about the situation, she was next to useless. A heavy sigh dragged from her lips, before Lorna turned her focus back toward the Southern Belle. She adjusted her grip on the brightly wrapped package and held it out to Rogue with a sheepish smile.

"Hey, it has been. I brought you a very belated gift? There's about a car load I had brought over from Genosha upstairs.." She coughed lightly, and glance back to the magically situation at hand. "I heard you were down here, so I thought I'd come deliver.. Bobby said there were.. uh.. issues?" She grimaced. "I didn't really get the whole story. I'm fine.. been fine.. Genosha, was.. er, is nice. I guess. Uhm.. is there anything I can help with?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
"I'll let you run your tests, but I do /not/ need help eating. I'm not some ... paraplegic." Strange says with a huff before he looks back to Rogue and then to Illyanna. "I don't know who the southerner is but I don't know anyone named Wong either." Strange notes. The man looks to Lorna and Rogue, "And what are you two actually going to do down here besides gossip like a bunch of harpies?"

Magik has posed:
"Rudeness is not going to help your situation," Illyana points out as those glacier blue eyes remain focused on the Doctor. "What is that saying here? Oh yes." If anyone was expecting something like 'get more with honey than vinegar' they will be sorely disappointed as she continues. "Don't be a dick."

She then looks at the clear crystal, murmuring a few words in a language that is guttural and harsh. The crystal begins to glow blue as she brings it up above Strange's head, trying to see if there is any magic to be sensed around him.

Rogue has posed:
"A present?!" Rogue says then in response to Lorna, she raises her black gloved hands up and holds them out, even going so far as to wiggle her fingers at the gift to further indicate just how much she needs it in her life. "Its so pretty! I don't even wanna ope--"

But of course Strange's mouth catches her attention and makes her look back at him. Now she glares at him. "You fall ass first inta the vast and expansive Prick Dimension this time, Doctor?" She asks him, not one to hold back the vitriol, especially when someone else initiates it.

All the same though, Rogue glances to Illyana and then back to Lorna. "Thank ya, guess we shouldn't hang out here though. Less I gotta beat his memories back inta his head..."

Polaris has posed:
A small laugh escaped her as Rogue happily picked up the present and wiggled her fingers as she passed it along to her friend. "You'll like it, I think.. I--" And Strange interrupted the two's reunion of presents and catching up with his waspish words and her green eyes narrowed. Of course, Illyana and Rogue beat her to the punch line but Lorna exhaled a huff of a breath.
% Perhaps she'd spent too long in Genosha, where people simply took whatever she did or said as acceptable or even in awe. Because the man's words rankled more than they should have.

"Excuse you, but I lived here. This is partly, my home. I can be where I want when I want to be. If I want to catch up with a friend that was just released here. I can." Her lips twisted into a scowl as she crossed her arms and fought the urge to flick the hospital bed's propped up state backward with a flick of her fingers.

It was tempting.

Still, Rogue's words earned a small measure of humor back.

"You know electromagnetism can play with brain waves and how the brain functions in very interesting ways." She offered, and looked back to Illyana as the woman started working magic that lit up the area in a blue glow. She grew silent, watching and still for a moment.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange falls silent and his eyes widen. He's heard people talk of magic and some even said he was able to do it, but there's no way that's real. Even in this age of super heroes and technological wonders, magic can't be real. Strange however is front and center to an exhibit by one of the greatest known and he swallows. Maybe he was wrong. Maybe he's been wrong all along, but that could just be a rock with LEDs on the inside, everything can be explained. Everything.

"Yeah, use your /genetic superiority/ to injure an already injured doctor, that will win you sympathy points." Strange says, as he starts to ignore the blue glow that would reveal to Illyana that yes, inherently he is quite powerful, but that mystically he's unable to do any spells because he doesn't know any. Not a single one.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just stares at the Doctor, hearing that phrased like how he phrases it reminds her of NYU and why she doesn't want to go to that school anymore, because its always embroiled in some absurd political rabble that has worn her spirit out. Its a politically charged statement, the ones anti-mutant types like to toss around.

"Right." Rogue says then, her husky voice still sounding somewhat tired from the ordeal she's been in for the past two weeks. "Have fun with that one, Doc. If ya get your non-asshole personality traits back, gimme me a call sometime. Would like t'chat with the cool you."

She looks to Illyana then. "Good luck." She tells her before nodding to Lorna. "Come on, I'll open this up upstairs, away from the prickishness."

Polaris has posed:
A twist of her lips formed a sneer on Lorna's lips as the Doctor moved his gaze from the glow of Illyana's magic toward her and Rogue again. His words drew a sudden, sharp inhale of breath from the green haired woman and she stepped forward, her arms crossed as she curled her hands into fists. "I don't give a shit about sympathy points. I didn't come down here to be insulted in the place I grew up by a man that has no idea what he's talking about." She practically snarled under her breath, anger hot in her chest.

"It's not your fault, and I'm trying //very// hard to remember that." She said in a hiss. Rogue's 'good luck' couldn't possibly be more accurate in the green eyed gaze Lorna swung toward the blonde Russian.

A rough exhale followed and Lorna turned back follow Rogue back toward the stairs.

Magik has posed:
Illyana does glance over to Rogue and Lorna. "I was raised in a realm filled with demons yet I have more decorum than he does." She is talking like he can't hear her, knowing full well he can. "There is a certain irony there. But at least he is a teddy bear compared to what I'm used to dealing with."

She turns back to Strange. As the amulet glowed, Illyana frowned then moved it lower along his body. When it reached about chest level, the blue light flared so bright it was almost blinding then suddenly there was a crack sound and the light disappeared. The crystal had broken. Whatever was there was strong enough to overload it. "What do you have inside your shirt, Doctor?"

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange chooses to not respond to the girls mocking of his situation and how they can't seem to be even the least bit caring. "Then get out of the medbay and go gossip!" Strange can't hold his tongue that well. He can't help himself.

"I... have this necklace." He says, reaching under his gown and pulling out the Eye of Agamotto and holding it up with the artifact dangling below his fist. "No one wants to take it off and I really don't want to touch it either. I don't know where it came from." Strange says.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue doesn't have much else to say to the 'good doctor' on this subject. So she just steps on out toward the exit. She does toss something out to Illyana. "Let me know if a demon pops out, I'd like t'be the one that gets t'put my fist through its face."

With that said, she vanishes out of the medlab on her way for the lift back up to the ground level of the mansion.

She looks over to Lorna though. "Where've you been anyhow? Around here? I haven't seen ya around here the few times I've come back."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna made a face as she nodded to Illyana, "I think most people would agree with you. Good luck." She drawled, the heat in her voice dying with a dry thin, tone. She rolled her eyes as she made to trail after Rogue instead with one last narrow eyed look aimed at the ailing Doctor Strange.

"I'm hardly home a few hours and I've already been insulted. Joy." She mutters, shaking her head as she climbed the stairs out and away to follow Rogue.

"Genosha, I've uh.. been there." She cleared her throat, "For almost a year. I haven't been around actually."

Magik has posed:
"I would recommend tucking it back away where you had it for now." If it were know that the Eye of Agamotto was in the hands of someone who couldn't protect it right now, that could be disastrous. Illyana knows it is a powerful artifact. So powerful she knows better than to mess with it though there is a part of her that is whispering, urging her to take it and use it as her own. "It is a piece of your missing time. Once you have your memories restored, it will make sense to you again." Confident that they will get them back. She can't be anything else. She tucks the broken crystal away in her satchel, eyes going to the amulet as her fingers twitch ever so slightly. She forces herself to look away, drawing a deep breath. "We should take Rogue's advice. Seek out Wong and the new Sorcerer Supreme to see if they have any ideas how to help." She tilts her head to the side. "Are you going to eat or should I have someone force feed you?" No, she isn't above that.

Doctor Strange has posed:
Strange pulls the hem of the gown away from his neck and then lifts the amulet to tuck back under the gown. He gives a nod to Illy. "It's what the others said I should do, and it's so far the only thing they've said that hasn't be outrageous." The surgeon notes before he looks back to Illy and squints, "I will feed myself, thank you very much." The man is tired and exacerbated to his wits end but then he asks, "Do you think I can leave soon? I have missed out on so much."

Magik has posed:
"Bear with us a couple more days to follow up with Raven and Wong," Illyana says as she gives him a brief smile. It's not often she does that around strangers but she's trying. "If Doctor McCoy gives you a clean bill of health after we speak to them, then I'm certain he will allow you to leave." She's not at all certain. It sounded good though.

"For now, I need to go see the Sorcerer Supreme." That's the third time in as many weeks. She's making a habit of this. "If you will excuse me, Doctor?" Suddenly a stepping disc appears at her feet, sliding up her body to teleport her away to Limbo and beyond.
