Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Thomas Raith, Harry Dresden

Thomas Raith has posed:
It's around 6 pm and downstairs the Jazz Club is starting to pick up speed. The bouncer at the door, hispanic man in his late twenties and caring a pair of Tomahawks at his belt tries to stop the scruffy wizard at first... but assuming that he is informed whom the man is there to see, Harry is then passed to a large black man with a shaved head, and finally up the stairs to the manager's office. "There is a man named Dresden to see you Boss."

"Thank you Crush, show him in." Thomas replies, and as Harry comes into the office, Thomas flips a light switch on his desk. Instantly monitors, computers, and the big screen TV turn off as though someone pulled their plugs.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden waves. "Hey there Thomas. Thanks for your back up last night. I don't care that you didnt end up needing to do anything, it was still very nice to have you around. You mentioned something about a  Also, smart idea regarding the electronics. I might mention that to Murphy. It will make her happy." He shrugs and smiles.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods a bit and smiles, "Formalities first and all that, welcome to my domain, please enter in friendship as my Guest and be welcome. Can I offer you a drink?" he smirks just a bit as he walks towards the personal wet bar. "Like that huh? You should see the anti magic security system I have set up in the club proper. Simple and effective."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "Glad to be here. Guest right always makes me feel at home. Not everyone does it any more. Yes, I'd be delighted thanks. Really? Now you have me curious. I've done security consulting from time to time, not my primary method of income but I owe you for last night and would be happy to take a look."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith smirks a bit as he takes out a bottle of scotch, pours some in two glasses and comes back handing one of them over to the younger man. "Well I designed this one myself. It's a fairly elegant system. It's a series of 10 lightbulbs of various resistances. If all ten were to pop, it turns on the sprinkler system." he says it with amused pride in his tone. "Like I said, simple but effective."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden nods,"That might work for wizards, but won't work on all magical critters, still its a simple and elegant system. It will certainly catch ME," he shrugs and smile,"The sprinkler system is a very nice touch since I can't hex that. Simple but effective are the best kind." He takes the glass and raises it, sipping. Nice. Thomas was buttering him up, or so it seemed which bespoke a potentially hard case.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith sips his own scotch and finally sighs, "LEt me ask you something HArry. What do you know about the White Court in general. How one becomes one of us specifically." He asks. He glances over at a manilla folder sitting on his desk, but does not reach for it yet.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "I know the king is in a delicate balance between houses. There are three primary houses and he controls lust. I know that you all are born; unlike the Red or White court, you can't just 'become' a white court vampire and I know that you are fighting your nature. Aside from that? Not much."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods slightly as the man speaks, sipping his drink. "So more then most, that's good at least." He does stand now to fetch the folder. "We are born, with our hunger, but for the most part it's dormant until we enter puberty. We actually are like the Red Court that way. We don't fully /become/ until we kill for the first time. Usually around the same time we lose our virginity, as if that wasn't a confusing enough period in our lives." He retakes his seat and says, "The thing you have to understand though is that we don't tell our young ones. We don't tell them anything. Not just about being a White court, we don't tell them about the supernatural world as a whole. Then one night when they are necking in the back of a parked car, or on your parents sofa in the basement.." He pauses for just a moment, and his tone shifts slightly. LAced with mild personal pain, "Or in the back room of a strip club your dad took you two because it was time you learned to 'be a man'... you are overcome with lust and hunger...and the next thing you know you are stronger...faster..more beautiful then ever...and laying next to a corpse.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden winces. He was never a fan of the white court but Thomas had shown a lot of ethics and now he had actual sympathy. "Jesus. I'm sorry Thomas. That's...awful. That makes the ticker tape parade that was my own twisted up brining pale in comparison."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith sips the scotch and tosses the folder onto the table where it spins once and stops facing Harry, the edges lined up perfectly with the edges of the table. On the little tab is a simple sticker, "Raith, Inari". Opening the folder the first thing you can see is a photo of a girl, perhaps 17. Pretty, though an ugly duckling by White Court standards.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden works through the paper methodically. He is used to dealing with files and while his lab is chaos, his workspace is always clean. It was taught to him at a young age by both his Godfather and mentor. He nods, "She looks like not a model. I'm assuming she doesnt know and hasnt changed yet?

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith stands, while Harry is reading and refills both their glasses. It's not cheap scotch either. "She doesn't. And the King, my father, has a standing edict that we can not tell our younger generation about the family...tradition as it were." He says this last part with a bit of a sneer. "I'm not allowed to protect my little sister from the monster that is living inside of her.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "That, pardon my french, is supremely fucked up. Your father the King is a dick." He takes a long draught of the scotch, "but I'm assuming that just because you can't tell her or stop her from this doesnt mean I can't, but if I do I make an enemy of the white court?"

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods slightly, "You would, and of course I'd be fingered as the one who put you on it, so they'd kill me too. As I mentioned last night I am rather agienst that idea." Another small sip, but more measured then before. "OF course there is also the problem of the fact, why would she believe you? Like I said, it's not just the White Court that has been kept from her, it's the entire Supernatural world. She is, for the most part, a Mundane. A Muggle. Vanilla as a McDonalds Milkshake... at least for now."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "I'm willing to pick up yet another guy who wants to kill me. It's not like I have a shortage of those and to keep someone from having to go through that I'd do it. Well I do have a sparklingly amazing personality and can do card tricks. I do know some rather convincing ways to show a muggle that the supernatural exists."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith shrugs a bit, "MAybe we should ask your Detective Rudolph for suggestions. He's the one who watched you fight a werewolf and still thinks you're a fraud right?" Thomas asks a bit sourly, not that he's upset at Dresden per-say, just that he's been working the problem himself for months. And feels time is running out. "I only know of one way to break the curse as it were, and I don't see how to implement it."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "you have a point there...denial is a singular muggle skill. But I mean since she has supernatural blood hopefully she wouldnt be totally unconvincable?" He shrugs, "I am happy to tell her or protect her from your father. How long are we talking? I owe you so something quick I can do for free, after a while I might have expsenses. And how do you break said curse?"

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods, "This won't be quick. No idea how long it will take honestly, And I fully intend to pay you for your time and services." He stands and takes another file folder off the desk. This one he simply hands over to the man, "You get the rest of the file, when the job is either completed, or you convince me that it it's impossible to do it. Either way." The folder tag reads "LeFay, Margret" Inside is a single photograph of a woman. A Woman whose face Harry had only seen in photographs, and had not seen sine Malcom Dresden died in his sleep and the boy entered the foster care system. She's on a park bench, laughing gayfully with a wicked gleam in her eye at something the photographer said.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden nods,"I see no downside to this. Granted, pissing off another major power and pillar of the supernatural world might be construed that way but you know what they say with Pokemon. Gotta catch em all." He looks at the photo and looks at Thomas. "That's certainly a way to attract my attention. I had a few vague leads that your father might know more. I take it you've been into his private files?

Thomas Raith has posed:
"YOu might say that." He offers, somewhat non-commitally, but seriously. "Help me save my sister, and I promise I'll be able to give you more information on your mother then you've likely been able to find out in twenty years." He leans back and sighs, "Now as for the weakness that I mentioned before. Love. True love. I'm talking the Westley and Buttercup stuff, not that Romeo and Juliet bullshit. That is the major weakness of the White court. We try to feed on someone that has that, and it's like trying to drink battery acid. Now if a White Court virgin were to lose that virginity to someone they were truly in love with... Well the theory goes hat it'd burn the demon out in it's infancy. At least that's the theory, and why the White King tries to keep our young ones in the dark. Too afraid they'd try to opt out as it were."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden has a bit of a frosty edge in his voice but doesn't raise it. "Exactly how long have you know about this Thomas?" He isn't rude but this is a sore subject but the talk of love softens his expression. "I am not exactly Cupid. And I don't do love potions. Says so right on my add, but I might be able to research into figuring out who can. If we can find her a match, that could definitely protect her. It makes sense really. Lust conquored by love and all

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith considers and then says simply, "I met Margret LeFay when I was a child. The last time I saw her I was about five. Putting all the pieces together is a much more recent development." He sips his drink, "And like I said, you prove to me that what I'm asking for cannot be done, I will give you everything I promised, just as surely as if you gave me everything I asked for. He considers, "Not sure love /potions/ would do the job. Love potion number 8 certainly wouldn't I don't think. Love Potion number 9 I suppose would.."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden nods at Thomas's answer. That is acceptable and wasn't Thomas playing games with Harry's life. Probably. It was eely but Harry was giving the benefit of the doubt for now. "I am a believer in the impossible. I think we can find your sister a love interest. And Wesley and Buttercup stuff I assure you it can't. Love Potion number 9 is a myth." Probably.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas nods slightly at that answer and says "All things considered I'm not sure if that is a relief, or rather depressing when you think about it." he finishes his scotch and adds, "Ever since Madam Bianca's little party, I've been reading up on you Harry. I even had another detective do a bit of a dossier on you. I honestly believe you are my baby sister's best hope in all of this."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "Well..." he is quiet a moment and then shrugs, "I guess its nice to be popular. I'm sure I will make Vogue or Time any day now. Which detective? I can tell you if his work was sloppy or not. And I shouldn't be anyone's best hope but I'll make sure it happens Thomas, you have my word on that."

Thomas Raith has posed:
"Angel Investigations out of Los Angeles." He says simply, "I didn't want to go with anyone you might recognize off hand. Also he is a Vampire so it was sort of a professional courtesy to use his firm. You know how these things can be." Thomas offers the Wizard his hand to shake. "I do thank you for this Mr. Dresden. I know I'm kind of handing you a Gordian Knot as it were."

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "Ah yeah, the vampire with soul. Some kind of jazz singer. Yeah, I have heard of that guy. He's damn good. I think he's in the leather court or something. Brooding court? And yeah, I know how 'those kinds of things can be'" he smirks and then nods, more serious as he shakes Thomas's hand. "You're welcome Thomas. Gordian knots are a specialty of mine if you don't mind things being burned ot the ground. Not your sister..." he adds that last part rather quickly."
