Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Polaris, Jubilee, Rogue, Cannonball

Polaris has posed:
Lorna charged inside, not stopping as she flung a hand out and the door ripped open under her direction. Boots stomped heavily beneath her as she cut herself off from the floating magnetic spectrum that had lifted her up and out of the snow before. The green haired woman was furious, as it was easier than being hurt or upset. Her features twisted with her anger, lips pursed into a thin white line, her eyebrows furrowed and her cheeks were reddened from more than just the winter air outside.

Frustration lit her eyes as she ripped off her gloves, and unzipped her jacket as she stormed inside and tried to rip as much of the winter gear from ehr personage as she possibly could. All the while she continued to mutter curses and bitter remarks about a certain Iceman.

Jubilee has posed:
Following after her, Jubilee tapped her shoes clean, then slid the hoodie of her jacket back. She watches her for a few moments, then lets out a low breath. "Hey, Lorna." She says as she tucks her phone into her pocket, hesitatingly reaching out to touch her arm. "Do you wanna go get a pizza or something and just catch some fresh air? I know a place that's pretty freaking good and does it old school. Ya'know, right amount of sauce, the crust smells like fresh bread, the cheese is freshly squeezed from the cow. It's pretty much the best slices you can get in the City."

Polaris has posed:
Jubilee's gentle touch and offer broke through Lorna's anger in ways that calling after her or trailing pleas would not have. The green haired woman whirled, and her eyes were glassy even as she struggled to hold onto her anger rather than her hurt. She pursed her lips, seeming to struggle with her emotions and what to do with them. She'd spent a year in Genosha, where her word was taken as law more or less beside that of her father's. She was respected, feared, and loved all in the same breath.. and here? Here she was just herself, with all the faults and strengths that came with it.

Slowly, she inhaled and exhaled, her eyes squeezing shut as she reached up to pinch the bridge of her nose. "Sorry.. I .. I don't think I can death with the cold outside just now. Pizza.. sure.. Sure.. Sounds great." She muttered, her expression pinched and hesitant. She'd been invited out for hot chocolate and it had turned into an argument and a break off over what might have been. Not what was. What else could go wrong with //pizza//?

"Might as well do something worth coming half way around the world for.. Pizza sounds fine." She muttered, her voice dry and lacking none of her heavy tangle of emotions.

Jubilee has posed:
"Yeah, pizza is pretty damn good on cold days. I can just put an order into it and have them deliver. That way we don't gotta go back out there. We can just kick it here and listen to music or whatever." Jubilee says as she takes out her phone and taps along the glass. "I wasn't eavesdropping or anything." She says after a few seconds. "Not on purpose, you know.. I really was hitting up the garage for space heaters. I just didn't wanna interrupt whatever you two had going on. But.. I can see but.. uh ... how it turned out... that it was.. not a super good one." She completes the order, one cheese, one all meats, one all veggies, one all veggies and all meats. May as well get more for the kids too.

".. So... boys are dumb.. " The firecracker says as she tucks her phone into her pocket, giving her a nudge. "... and uh... Bobby is kinda in this weird place where he's not a boy anymore and he's still trying to figure out if he's a man, and he's kinda putting all this stress and pressure on himself .. and ... I'm sure he said dumb things.. to get you that worked up. Ya'know? But.. " She shifts her jaw to the side. ".. I heard you're doing good things in Genosha, and you shouldn't feel bad about that. You gotta do whatcha gotta do.. ya'know? Maybe things will work out between you and him down the line when things get more normal and settled and the world isn't all stupid anymore."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna finally freed herself of her coat and was in the process of swinging it over her arm as she stared at Jubilee when the other woman whipped out her phone and ordered several kinds of pizza while awkwardly explaining what she'd heard or seen. The green haired woman exhaled a slow breath, her heart beat slowing as her anger cooled with the continued conversation. Her eyes still sparkled with unshed emotion as she blinked them repeatedly to clear the moisture away. She looked down, rubbed her face with the heel of her hand and sighed.

"He kissed me in the Danger Room yesterday. After having taken me out to eat and 'confessing'. He made such a big deal and.. I was still processing how I felt. And then he.. he just.." Her expression twisted and anger flashed sharp and bitter over her features.

"You don't do that to someone and then pull the shit he did just." Her hand rose and gestured to the door they'd entered through back to the yard where they'd been accusingly. "I won't give up my work in Genosha, no matter how much he wants to condemn me for it. I don't agree with everything my father says or does. I'm not an extension of him. I'm my own person. And if he can't separate that, then that's on him. I'm not the scared little high schooler I was anymore. I haven't been for a long time."

Jubilee has posed:
"I think it's hard for him, you know? Bobby has always been the little guy on the team. The wisecracker, the jokester, the boy next door little brother figure. It's hard when you got Scott being Scott and Hank being the smartest guy in the room and Warren being the 'rich' one, you know? What does that make him? The guy who throws snowballs. He's had this super crush on you, and then you go off to do all of this big and important stuff, and I think maybe he's feeling a bit left behind." Jubilee says as she slumps down into a chair, arching her back to stretch out. "I think he's just living in the past a little bit and maybe he was hoping that things would be the same again. He just has to find his place and be okay with himself. He's an important member of the team and he just has to step up, um... you know..." She taps her chest. "Like right here."

She eases out of her own parka, revealing a black t-shirt with some type of band logo on it. Skid Row. 90's metal band. "And I think it's hard because like for yeeeears Magneto was kiiiinda the big scary bad guy and when that dude walks into a room everyone goes home injured. And he's probably just terrified that the girl he's in love with will one day strap a helmet on and go about flinging nukes around or talking about us versus them. He's just scared, L. Worried. Stressed out. In love. And .. remember, boys kinda don't really mature until they hit sixty so he's gonna be a hot mess about it."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna's shoulders loosened the more Jubilee spoke, the knot of anxiety and hurt that bled into her expression was slow to fade. It lingered, but at least now it wasn't going to fester. The green haired woman slowly made her way to where the other woman slumped down into a chair, her hand reaching out to drag it out and shift the wood back so she could slip into the chair beside Jubilee.

"Bobby has always been.. just.. himself to me. I never thought he was any less or anything. I've always told Bobby that he was worth so much more than he joked he was... and besides Scott is a stick in the mud." She drawled, and pursed her lips as she looked down at her lap. She crossed her arms as she spoke, the deep purple of her sweater a soft compliment to her green curls. She wore a pair of torn up jeans, with high, wooly stockings to ward off the chill of the winter. She shivered.

"I'm not my father." She whispered, "I don't hate humans like he does. I think Genosha needs to stop being a separatist nation and branch out to others. For trade deals and to accept people with no where else to go. Refugees from //everywhere//.. Not just mutants.." She bit her lower lip, reaching up to pinch the bridge of her nose.

"My father is a very flawed man. I'm not ignorant of it. I've grown up being judged for. Unfairly, I might add."

Jubilee has posed:
"Aren't we all? Second we get that big scary M label over our heads, the entire world freaks out. No matter how many times Superman knocks a building down fighting some dope, he gets hero worshipped over the girl with pink skin who just wants to go to school and be good at math. World is pretty effed up my dude." Jubilee leans back in her hair, giving her a grin. "You want me to lob a firecracker down the back of Bobby's shirt? I can make 'em sting real good."

Polaris has posed:
A look was shot back to Jubilee. "That pink skinned girl can find acceptance with people like her here, or in other mutant groups all over.. It's hard, and has it's own issues.. But how many people are gonna look at her and judge everything she does by what her father was up to before she was born or while she was a kid? I've been looked at as untrustworthy by people with powers or without because of that.. not just because I'm a mutant, Jubilee. And at the same token, everything I do on Genosha is frame by him. I'm either your 'highness' or worshipped as his second coming like a god, or hated. Two extremes." She muttered and she shook her head as she leaned back in her chair. Her feet pushed the chair back onto its end legs, and she balanced backward without the aid of her powers, tipping back just so.

"No.. don't hurt Bobby.. he's an idiot, but he doesn't deserve that." She pursed her lips. "And don't tell Pietro about this if you see him either."

Jubilee has posed:
"I don't think I've really hung out with Pietro, so no worry about that." Jubilee says with a thumbs up. The idea of lobbing a firecracker down Bobby's shirt is still at least a little bit appealing. "He's definitely a doofus, but he's our doofus." She giggles slightly. "But, ya'know, if you ever wanna kick it or something, my phone is always free. I know I'm not like the ideal girl talk kinda chick, but if you ever need to blow off some steam or bounce ideas off someone, I'm down."

Polaris has posed:
A shrug and Lorna exhaled a breath as she let the seat rock back into its proper position of upright. "Good, my half brother is over protective, more so than my father. Speaking of which," She pulled out her cell phone and typed out a quick text, thumbed 'send' and tucked it back away into her pocket. "My father isn't happy that I'm still over here. He wants me home and has been asking me when I'll be back." She rolled her eyes.

"It's this kind of insanity I //tried// to warn Bobby about, and then he was all 'It's my choice to make, blah blah, here let me kiss you in the Danger Room." She snarked, and rolled her eyes.. Even as it masked a small pang of hurt there. Regardless of her feelings on the matter, Bobby had told her goodbye. It was whip-lash like and it stung.

Jubilee has posed:
"Yeah...he's like that Britney Spears song. I'm not a girl, not yet a woman?" Jubilee laughs as she pulls that old school song out of her pocket of random music she remembers. "And you know, you can just put do not disturb mode on for your dad and just say you were out of service area for a bit." She winks. "Subway tunnels."

Polaris has posed:
A roll of her eyes, "If I don't respond to my dad, I don't want to know what he'd do. This is a man that tried to take over the world //how// many times? Also has control over an island nation filled with mutants. Do you want to be the one responsible for that news reel?" She teased, and there was at least a hint of a smile at her expression now. Her anger had more or less been spent and she sighed. Slowly, she shook her head.

"Maybe it was stupid of me to come back after a year... Maybe I should've just stayed put."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue opens the doorway from the kitchen back walking backward through it and then she spins around, holding a tray and on that tray is a small sandwich on one plate and a bowl of soup beside that with a glass of red stuff in between them. She's got a green and gray long sleeve tshirt on, some jeans and simple leather boots, a red scarf around her neck and some gloves on her hands.

With her food in order she moves to the table and glances over to the others, offering a light grin as she settles in with a big sigh. "Best part about this place? The damn pantry has everything!" She says in her naturally husky toned voice as she starts pulling her gloves off her hands.

Jubilee has posed:
"Nah. You totally shoulda came back and hung out with us. Everyone needs a break and some fresh air and some perspective. It's a vacation." Jubilee says to Lorna, then leans forward in the chair. "Hey, Rogue. Whaddup?" She calls over to the other girl with a lift of her hand to wave in salutations. "I got four pizzas on the way if you're hungry. Don't fill up on snacks."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna sat sulking in her chair beside the table, her figure leaning forward and with her chin propped up by her hand. The green haired woman looked downright crest fallen from her usual humor and she heaved a sigh just as Rogue entered. "Doesn't feel like I should have.." She muttered and shook her head. Only for her gaze to swing wide at the stack of food that Rogue carted into the room.

"Yeah she just ordered a ton of food in an attempt to make me feel better. No ice cream though. Do we have that in the freezer?"

Rogue has posed:
Rogue looks over first to Jubilee and flashes her a big grin. "Whassup, Hot Stuff?" She asks her sparkly inclined friend. Then she looks between the both of them, to Lorna and back to Jubilee. "Pizzas, yeah?" She draws in a quick sharp inhale and looks down to the food she'd brought in. "Guess I can heat this up some othe'ah time." She pushes the tray forward and then uses her flight power to suddenly slide her chair down toward the other two.

"So whats up? I heard some heavy handed talk of goin' home?" She now looks to Lorna. "Ya still frettin' about that, Greeny?" Softly she shakes her head. "Ya gotta learn how to relax a bit, enjoy your life. That place ain't goin' no where, chill here with us and just... ya know. Live free and easy! Thats my style any how."

Jubilee has posed:
"Oh. You know.. dumb boy was being a dumb boy and he said dumb boy things and upset Mean Green here." Jubilee says as she gives finger guns to Rogue. Pew Pew! "So we're just chillaxing with pizza and then afterwards, we can go get ice cream or something. I'm down for a Brewster's run."

Pushing up to her feet, she heads to the kitchen to snag some two liters of soda and a couple of glasses, then drags them over to plunk them down. "And so we drown our sorrows in Root Beer or Diet Root Beer and we just chalk up today as an L, and then get a W tomorrow."

Polaris has posed:
Lorna shot Rogue a look, a crease of her eyebrows followed as she leaned back in the chair and bit back another sigh. "Bobby kissed me in the Danger Room the other day, and took me out and was all 'I love you'.. and then he was just.. you're too much like your father. Bye. So." She threw up her hands in the air, her lips twisting with a scowl as the anger flared hot in her chest once more.

"Why the hell should I stay? I came to get away and see my friends and help out where I could.. And now? Whatever.. Jubilee is trying to convince me to hang around."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just smirks at the part from Jubilee about dumb boy. She already knows where this is going. "Doctor Snocone, huh?" She asks as she reaches back to where her drink was, she'd got some strawberry tea from the kitchen already as she wasn't ever much of a soda drinker. "Well, I'm down for whateve'ah it takes t'help get past that."

Her eyes then sweep over to Lorna. "Guy probably does like you. Doubt he loves ya though, don't think he knows ya well enough t'love ya. Definitely wants in your pants, and he's a guy and thats what they do, ya know? Its like all they think about."

Her glass is raised up to her lips for a drink. "But ya still got friends here t'visit."

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie will walk in from the kitchen, four pizza in hand, and atop them some plates and papertowels, he grabbed from the kitchen. He is wearing kakis and a red shirt with the pizza places logon on it. The hat was ditched in the car. He will look around and says "You ladies order these or was it the kids up in the rec room?"

Jubilee has posed:
As she listens to the pair go back and forth, Jubilee props herself up on a counter, legs swaying back and forth behind her. Tilting her head at the sight of Sam with the pizzas, she lets out a laugh. "Holy cannolis, Sam. I didn't even know you were working there tonight. I hope you don't have to go back in. I ordered them." Taking her chained wallet off her hip, she wiggles out enough cash to cover the four and a generous tip. She holds them up for him, giving them a wiggle. "You wanna steal a slice for yourself?"

Polaris has posed:
A huff of breath followed and Lorna crossed her arms as she nodded to Rogue, her lips twisting again with a grimace. "Bobby was in love with the idea of me. Now who I am. That's all..." She trailed off and made a sound of frustration at the back of her throat. "Men.. ugh..I want some wine is what I want.. but this is a school. So I guess, that's a no go down here. Right?" She arched a brow as she looked between the two ladies and then there was Sam as he entered with the ordered pizzas.

"Hey Sam..thanks for bringing those in."

Rogue has posed:
Rogue looks over and up at Sam as he strides in. She gives a big grin at him then and raises a hand up triumphantly in the air. "Pizza Sam!" She says at his arrival. "Ah figured it'd be you who brought us our food." She's all grins then as she looks over to Jubilee, and her wallet. "Dang... look who's got all the money 'round here. Ice cream gonna be on you too, Sparkley?"

Rogue takes another sip of her drink before she looks over to Lorna again. "Well. I'm sorry it went t'an awkward place with him. Maybe ya'll will figure it out anyhow. And I'd buy ya some booze... but... my birthday is tomorrow, sadly I got a whole 'nother year before its the one where I can just whip out my real ID and buy up some wine." And that gets a grumble from the near-birthday girl.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to Jubilee, and says "Na, thanks believe it or not, pizza is starting to loose it's appeal, but ah guess it is one of the down sides of the job. " He looks over nodding and offering a smile tot he other two ladies, but he has enough sisters at home he has a pretty good idea of what the vibe in the room is, and mostly keeps his yapper shut.

Jubilee has posed:
"I mean, we're /all/ adults, and I'm sure Logan got a stash hidden in the garage behind some boxes near his bike that no one is supposed to know about." Jubilee smirks at the pair of ladies, lifting her brows upwards, waggling them. She reaches out with her foot, tap-tapping Sam on the leg a few times. "Well, enjoy the tip at least." To Rogue, her eyes roll upwards with a grin. "I just don't believe in credit cards ya'know? So I just keep cash on me for pizza and Red Bull emergencies. /You/ can get the ice cream though."

Polaris has posed:
A hand wave followed Rogue and Jubilee's words, "Look, Genosha has no drinking age right now. It's pretty low on the list of laws my father is working on. Though he's European so it'll likely be way younger than here. Hurrah for my father not being puritanical and only be a terrorist dictator." She drawled, she was only half joking, and her voice was dry and filled with bitter humor.

"Also I have a credit card, how much ice cream do we want? And what flavors? I'm thinking at least a gallon of chocolate is needed? My treat. I'll even go pick it up." She offered.

Rogue has posed:
Rogue just grins at Jubilee. "I'll buy. I don't care... you guys don't even realize how much money I made as an Avenger... along with some othe'ah endeavors. I've gotta figure out what I'm even gonna do with some of it. I'm thinkin' about goin' around and findin' some Pet Shelters that need help. See if I can't fix'em up some." She then leans back in her chair and looks over toward Sam.

"How are you doin' Mistah Guthrie? We appreciate ya bringin' us our dinner. Jubilee's got some root beer here too if ya want some."

The talk of chocolate ice cream draws her eyes back to Lorna then. "Yes, please." She says with a sly grin.

Cannonball has posed:
Samuel Guthrie looks to the group and says "No problem, and if you need someone to get it Ah can head out and get it for you if want. Ah can blast down tot he 7-11 if ya want." He does look to Jubes and says "Was a good tip, and the guys at the pizza palace can't decide if we are good or bad to deliver to.

Jubilee has posed:
"I think we're pretty good to deliver to." Jubilee grins at Sam with a lift of her thin brows. "They figure out yet you just rocket around instead of drive the car?" She says teasingly, then gives a nod of her head to Lorna and Rogue. "Yes, /chocolate/. Also .. Rocky Road.. " She gives a lick of her lips. "Okay, let's wolf this down, then go on an ice cream run. Don't worry, Sammy, I think we can handle sweets for the night."

Polaris has posed:
A nod and Lorna offered Sam a smile, "Thanks for the pizza, and I agree. I think we should eat pizza first. Then all the chocolate variants of ice cream must be purchased. And then we need to come back and take over the rec room for some horrible movie so we can boo all the dumb bits and eat directly from the ice cream containers." She leaned forward, making to snag herself a plate and a large slice of cheese and meat pizza with care not to spill the toppings all over the place.

"And yeah, I've got a rental car. We can load that baby up with all the sweets we want."
