Synopsis: Two of the Lights technologists discuss LexHub, and other material needs
Cast of Characters: Lex Luthor, Gorilla Grodd

Lex Luthor has posed:
Despite how massive the project is, it's still been fairly secretive. LexHub; LexCorps private space station. The first serious privatized corporate space installation, and a platform for LexCorp to start to exploit the rest of the solar system, in time.

Secretly, it'd also be an installation of the Light. One that would allow for off-planet meetings and other interesting activities.

Of course, it has to be assembled and brought into being in orbit.... but it's only fitting such a daring venture be done by LexCorp. Lex Luthor is a man of vision... and his vision includes domination of the galaxy, one day.

Few are allowed to know about this project. In fact, among the Light, only the technologists are aware of it yet. It's a massive undertaking, and Lex wants to be sure it will actually be viable before he makes Project LexHub public.

Grodd has only recently been told about the project himself, in an effort to consult other technologists.

The main construction chamber for the LexHub Project was under a purpose built factory a good ways outside Metropolis. Trying to build something like this /under/ Metropolis would attract way too much attention, both from amateur seismologists, and sewer workers who might feel the vibration. It's taken months of hard digging and construction to build it... and LexCorp has nearly finished it while Luthor and his team were designing and testing the component modules.

Now though... the construction chamber is finished, with a launch platform next up on the list, if testing underground proved the designs viable.

The top section of the massive chamber was practically filled with catwalks, machinery, and control hubs.

The main control room is where Lex sits in the back, watching the hologram displays of the designs he's created over the last few months..

Grodd has the choice of making the visit public, or private... either way, he'll need to go through the factory front and down the secret elevator to get down into the chamber proper.

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "I still dont see why you don't let us teleport some of the components for what you're needing into a low earth orbit. It could potentially rapidly accelerate your time table. Either way, its a worthwhile idea and I'm happy to help. I've been investigating the Savage Land for a month myself and I have not given up on that project but I do understand your reservations." Grodd is here privately for now since one plan that had been discussed was public animosity between Lex and himself. He was keeping his options open."

Lex Luthor has posed:
In the control hub, Lex taps a few controls, and a portion of the design zooms in and highlights, "If you have the technology to teleport components into orbit to get this hub here started early, I'm very open to the idea. I haven't been able to duplicate Zetaport technology myself despite numerous tries. We're going to have to steal it from someone who does so I can reverse engineer it." Lex notes matter of factly as he leans back, "If you have ideas on how to exploit the Savage Land, I'm listening. It's a hotbed for SHIELD activity, so a permanent presence is a bad idea unless we want to be overt... .and I don't see any benefit to that yet unless you've discovered new information."

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "I am always up for stealing major tech components. Frankly, there are some Stark Tech and Kord Tech items I want to get to increase Gorilla City's industrial capacity. Even though all that nonsense in Kenya has gone quiet, it hasnt gone away and it is forcing me to update our timetable on an army much faster. A perfectly legal and lawful permanent presence is just fine Lex," he smiles,"and the natives are a fractous lot. Getting one of them to invite us for some shinies is not that hard. SHIELD is an issue but they are always an issue, do it right and their hands are tied. As far as benefit, there is that little bit about the vibranium deposits...its not like we're getting access to Wakanda any time soon."

Lex Luthor has posed:
"As a ruler of a sovereign nation, you could probably get us invited into the area without too much hassle." Lex agrees with a nod, before he turns his head and eyes to regard Grodd himself, a slight brow raised in question, "you're forgetting that getting access to vibranium would bring half the planet down on anyone trying for it. It's a valuable resource, and every nation on the planet would want to stop the others from getting it for themselves." A frown comes to his face, "SHIELD would likely block any attempts to exploit it as well. They're not known for being noble heroes... and they don't hold their monopoly on being world police by not getting their hands dirty when they need to." Lex points out.

"Since we're doing this animosity charade for others, I can't publically give you any support, either." Lex shrugs, "Doom might be able to use some of his clout to help with that, but even that is going to raise eyebrows."

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "I think long term Lex. Think about it. Sooner or later, we'll have another global catastrophe. Another invasion. Something that is all hands on deck where normal rules and regulations are thrown out the window and building vibranium weapons will be acceptable. It is just a matter of putting the pieces in place and waiting for the right time. And that's fine. I think we can cooperate just fine if a rival tribe of the one that invites me in invites you in. If the natives trade things that we bring that we end up using mutually..." he shrgs and smiles, "Doom's help is also a great idea."

Lex Luthor has posed:
"I also think long term, whether cover or overt. This project-" Lex gives a wave over to the window where one of the massive modules of the LexHub project is being tested by LexTech engineers, "-is short term, but very necessary for my plans." Lex stands then, and head for said window, his hands folding behind his back.

Outside the control hub, Mercy and Hope both come into view, moving to stand to either side of their employer, "I have no interest in getting my activities scrutinized without clear benefits, or a clear contingency plan to cut ties if it backfires. There's a reason I've survived my attempts to rid the world of The Alien. Being the legitimate front for our organization means I need to pop up on the radar only when the risk is worth it." He turns his head to regard Grodd, "find us a way into the Savage Land that allows me to covertly place agents there, and I'll be happy to direct our resources that way. Vibranium is nice... but vibranium needs to be able to covertly mined, or else everyone is going to target us."

Gorilla Grodd has posed:
Gorilla Grodd says, "Never said you didn't Lex," he smiles and nods approvingly, "Space is the ultimate place for us to expand. If we do it right we can grasp the stars firmly by the hand. I will get right on it," his eyes twinkle, intruiged at the prospect, "Let me do some research. I'm quite sure I can arrange something. I'll get back to you when I have something more concrete."
