Visiting A PI Wizard

Synopsis:	Morrigan goes to Harry Dresden, Wizard, to see if he can help her with a mystery.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan had given pause at the 'Wizard' stamped on the door. But, when you're at the end of your resources, even a Wizard might be able to help. The redhead had at least knocked before heading in. She wasn't sure what to expect on the other side of the door, but it was sure to be interesting. Once inside and away from the light she takes her sunglasses off and blinks a few times to adjust to the new space.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden sits at his desk, feel propped up reading a copy of "Dopplygangers, real or myth?" and munching from a very large bown of pretlzes. He has a soft spot for female clients, and also a soft spot for being able to pay his rent, so he immediately stops what he is doing, dusts off his clothing and stands. He smiles, "Hello. Harry Dresden. To whom do I have the pleasure of speaking?

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan's violet gaze settles on Harry when he moves and there's a soft smile, "Ah, you're Mister Dresden." she states. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Doctor Morrigan MacIntyre. I..." she trails off and looks around, then back to him, "I'm needing some help finding someone. But I have no idea where to start." she admits to that.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden sticks out his hand and moves to shake hers as a donut napkin is stuck to his shoe that he aims to shake off. Grumbling he finally waves a finger and it flies off 'by coincidence.' He shakes her hand and nods, "Finding someone is very much my specialty. Do you have anything that belonged to the person? And of whom do we speak?

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan is usually hesitant about shaking hands, but she doesn't mind today. Her hand is cooler, but it might be due to the weather. The napkin going flying does make her give it a squint. Then back to Harry, "There lies the problem. I don't have anything that belonged to him. I share part of his genes, but I have no information on my father. And the person who did, just turned up murdered, so." she spreads her hands. "I know that he and my mother were a very short couple in Ireland and then there's no real history that I know of." she frowns.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "That ...might help..." he considers, "It would take more work but I'll take what I can get. A name is also a good start. Tell me what you know and we'll go from there." He offers her a seat across from her desk and then sits down."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile, despite feeling like she might not be much help here. "My moms name was Claire Tobin. She committed suicide when I was about a year old." she admits. Then she takes a seat. "What family I did have here, didn't want to raise me, so I was put up for adoption." she tells him. "I'm sure my mother knew his name. But she didn't bother leaving me anything. Or if she did, it was with the person who just died. And the police aren't letting any of her stuff go." she shakes her head.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "Have you already had your records unsealed? As an adult you are entitled to do that and it would save me some work on that front. Tell me what you know about the murdered person. I hope you had their name at least? I do have contacts with the police so that might help."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a shake of her head, "No, never had them unsealed. I will get on that later today." she tells him. "Doctor Meridith Anderson was the woman who was murdered. She had asked me to meet with her as she had some news on my father. I arrived at the place, but she never did. And then later the police contacted me because I was in her calendar." she explains.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden nods, "When you spoke to the police about the murder, did anything leap out to you as odd or unusual about their reaction?" He chewed on his pencil and began taking notes in a pad, "any other facts relative to the case at all that you can think of?

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look back towards the door and then back to Harry, "Are you really a Wizard?" she asks him. "Because I'm guessing you hear some really strange stuff. They sounded a little freaked out. Said that a few case files were missing, one of them was mine." she frowns deeply. "I mean, I'm allergic to sunlight. I didn't get it from my mother. So I'm guessing it's a trait with my father? Does that help?" she asks him.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "I am definitely and very much a wizard. I am very good at what I do and while I havent solved every case, I have a singificant track record. And allegeric to sunlight," he considers a moment, "I can run a few tests on your blood if you're worried you are part vampire or something. And it does, but it doesnt match any vampire I immediately know about. There are many things to know about so that doesnt mean anything."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a look to Harry and there's a soft nod. Though his talk on vampires makes her eyes go wide, "Wait...what?" she laughs. "Oh no...nonono. I'm not a half anything." she shakes her head. There's a silence for a moment as she tries to put things together in her head, "That just sounds a bit nuts. How would you test for that?" she asks him.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "Well, frankly, magic. I have a rather unusual research assistant so I'd have to speak to him, but blood is one of the most potent magical materials you can find. Magic is able to match like to like so we can potentiallly simply match your blood to examples with all the vampires I DO know of at least to eliminate that possibility."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan looks positively intrigued. While most people might have heard the word blood, she was so used to it. "I'm a Doctor of Pathology and Hematology. So my interest is highly piqued, Mister Dresden." she chuckles to that. "I don't have negative reactions to holy symbols, or my church would probably give me the side eye." she states. "Alright. I guess talk to your assistant and I can come back to do that another day?" she asks him.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "Well, I've got files on most weirdos who appear in public, so we've got living vampires, man bats with vampiric tendancies, the white court, the jade court, the black court, the red court, demonic vampires around sunnyvale, psychic vampires and even more. Vampires are basically only exceeded by dragons in sheer multiple type. My assistant is a pervert and would love to meet you but I'm not sure I want to give him more inspiration, but if you can handle the insane it might help us work out tests. Another day would likely be best."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan just takes in the wealth of information. Then there's a blink, "Excuse me you said Dragons?" she asks him with a bit of a laugh. "Umm...proper dragons? Big scaley things with wings and fire breathing?" she asks. "And apparently I need to up my reading. I've not heard of most of those things. Courts? Not asking much more than that." she muses. Then she looks amused, "I'm sure your assistant is fine compared to some of our interns. I can handle insane pretty well." she grins.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "We live in a world where people in their underwear fly aroudn and move buildings. Yes, dragons or nearly anything else you can imagine...." he smiles, "I think I would disagree on you regarding Bob as compared to your interns but we'll find out." He grins, "Oh as to my retainer, " he gives her a high but not insanely high amount. "This might take a while.""

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"True, very true, we do have super humans so I'm not sure why I'd be surprised that Vampires and things were a thing." Morrigan states. Then there's a chuckle, "Oh I don't want to get into a bet. He might be just as bad, we'll see when I meet him." she smiles to that. The redhead doesn't blink at the retainer fee, "That's no problem. I can pay that now if you like?" she asks him.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden nods, "A retainer is traditional in these matters then I will bill you as expenses come up. Getting your adoption records officially release will help, and also if you have an attorny or can get one, a proxy authority for legal documents if you arent available will let me move faster. This will take some time but no reason to slow it down due to paperwork

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a nod to that and pulls her checkbook from her pocket, "Should clear pretty quickly." she states as writes them out she carefully takes it out and hands it over to him. Then it's followed by her pulling out a card, "My lawyer is pretty easy to get ahold of, I'll let him know you might be calling as well. It'll give him a headsup." she smiles to that as she hands the card over. "Taking time is fine, I don't have any big plans. If you need to give the case up at some point just let me know." she offers.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "I will do just that." He takes the card and smiles,"I am happy I can help." He stops smiling and says,"And I am sorry for the loss of the person who can give answers, but we'll look into this. Just to be clear, do you want me to find out about BOTH your father and who killed his friend or just solve for one of the two?"

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a smile to him, "Thank you for being willing to take it on. I know it's probably nothing, but, never hurts to check." she admits. Then there's a shake of her head, "Just looking for information on my father. To my knowledge Doctor Anderson didn't actually meet him. Just had files on my mother and I." she tells him. "My mother might have given his name in those." she adds. "I'm sure the NYPD can handle the murder case." she tells him. "Anything else I should know or do?" she asks.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden shakes his head, "If you send me a sample of your blood I can run those tests. A lock of hair. I will make sure it is destroyed and provide video evenice of doing that after we run the tests but it will help in a matter such as this.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a nod to that, "I'll get that sent over. Just need to draw some later." she muses. Then she's standing up and there's a smile, "It was good to meet you, Mister Dresden. I hope that this won't take up too much of your time." she admits. "If you need anything else feel free to call me or my lawyer for things. I answer my cell at all hours." she grins.

Harry Dresden has posed:
Harry Dresden says, "I absolutely will. And I look forward to solving your case. My parents had mysteries of their own so I can definitely empathize."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan gives a dip of her head and a smile, "Thanks for that, Mister Dresden. I look forward to hearing about things. Or well...anything really." she tells him. With that, the glasses are put back on and the woman heads out.
