Synopsis: Power Girl gets Superman up-to-date on everything happening lately, including her run in with the
Cast of Characters: Superman, Power Girl

Superman has posed:
It had been a long flight from the northern United States all the way to the Fortress of Solitude. It was cold, and blustery, with the temperatures way below freezing, even before the wind chill. Landing soflty in the snow, Superman takes a few seconds to look at the entrance to the Fortress of Solitude, and then, without another moments notice, Superman uses his strength to open the door with his key.

Entering the Fortress, Superman takes his cape off, and hangs it solemnly nearby, as per his usual habit. Noting his arrival, the Kryptonian robot, Kelex arrives, and says, "Good afternoon Kal El. Is there anything I can do for you today?" Superman pauses a moment, and smiles at his faithful robotic caretaker. "No thank you Kelex. Carry on as per your normal day. If I need anything, I'll call you." As the robot disappears into the Fortress, Superman takes it all in, and admires the engineering that went into building it.

Power Girl has posed:
Power Girl is already here, and walking out of an adjacent chamber when Superman comes in and dismisses his robot. "Greetings, Kal. Good to see you've come back." She says floating her way towards him. "If you're wondering, Kara was here for a bit, researching about telepathy...."

Superman has posed:
Turning to face his cousin, Kal El nods to her with a smile, and says, "Karen! Thank you! It is good to be back." Superman places his hands on his hips, and relaxes. "It is great to see you again. I hope you are well?" Kal El leans back against the nearest console, and says, "Kara was researching telepathy. That can't be good. Is she okay? Does she need our help?" The look of concern on his face is reflected in his eyes. "I could be there in a few minutes..." Kal straightens up.

Power Girl has posed:
Karen holds up her hand. "Kara's fine, Kal. If something happened to Kara, there would be a crater with a large blast radius long before you ever got there. Apparently this for a friend of hers named Mon-el....a...Daxamite, apparently. The way kara explained it, he met a woman and now there's a chunk of his memory gone. It's alarming, but nothing to go with quite yet. So she was looking up telepathy and trying to find a way to see what happened to him. I suggested Xavier's Institute for Gifted CHildren, but she'd have to go as Supergirl, as showing up as Kara Danvers would really make people raise their eyebrows, if you know what I mean."

Superman has posed:
"I see." Superman looks at Karen with a dubious expression, which changes into a smile. "I will take your word for it then. Mon-El? Really? Well, now I am a bit relieved. I am sure between the two of them they can handle pretty much anything thrown at them. Plus, I trust Kara's judgement."

Kal pauses for a moment, and his smile turns into a frown. "A woman stole his memory? I'll have to seek him out and talk to him then. That seems like a terrible thing to live with." Superman looks over at PG and says, "You seem to know a lot about what is going on! Glad I bumped into you today! Xavier's hmmm? Good idea."

Power Girl has posed:
Karen smiles. "Just...don't spread any rumors around about Xavier's Institute, okay? I've worked with Xavier's a couple of times and they...swore me to secrecy, so I'm going to ask you to do the same. The world may admire us, Kal, but they also fear us." She says pointing to herself. "Case in point. Now imagine a bunch of kids that have powers, but are a lot more vulnerable....that is what is in Xavier's Institute. And their biggest weapon, right now, is secrecy." She then lets out a breath.... "Also....Green Lantern left the system. He wasn't able to say why, yet."

Superman has posed:
Superman holds up his hands with a bemused expression, and says, "I promise. No rumours or anything out of this mouth." Kal zips his mouth close. "SOme people fear us. Those who have a reason to, Karen. I believe that most people look up to us as an example to be better people. Those people don't fear us, they respect us."

Kal listens to what Karen says about Xavier's, nods, and says, "Well, I will be careful then. Ensure those children are safe. If you speak to the people in charge there, and they ever need my help, they have but to call. I will be there." Kal says, firmly.

"Then Superman hears the comment about GL. "Strange, Hal didn't tell me this. I hope everything is okay. He wouldn't leave like that unless something was going on. Hmmm." Lost in thought for a moment, Kal shrugs and says, "I am sure if he needs our help, he will let us know. That means I need to talk to our alternate Lanterns, just in case the Justice League needs their help."

Power Girl has posed:
"Yeah. That's what I'll be doing when I leave here, Kal. Whomever the alternate lanterns are, we may need them. J'onn's gone missing, again. But he can handle himself." Karen then chuckles. "At least you weren't in Star Labs when the reek bomb went off."

Superman has posed:
"J'onn's gone missing...well he does tend to do that, and you are right, he can handle himself." Superman nods with a knowing smile. "Alternate Lanterns I know that have been around recently are Jessica Cruz, and that is about it. Haven't seen John or Guy in ages. They have been busy in Space I think." Kal looks down at his feet for a moment, and then looks up. Reek bomb?" Kal says, with a quizzical expression on his face. "That doesn't sound...fun."

Power Girl has posed:
"Someone mixed up the wrong compounds and the reaction caused the most unholy of smells. I got the worst of it, as I got everyone else out before it went off. But I had to head up to the watchtower and wash that particular suit.....and scrub." She then chuckles. "I mean...I think -I- took off a couple of layers of skin from myself just to get clean."

Superman has posed:
It was obvious that Superman was doing his best to hide his smile and a laugh behind the hand that suddenly appears in front of his mouth and face. "Um. Sounds awful Karen. Really awful." The tone of his voice reveals that he was barely stifling laughter. "I am sure you did. Hopefully there was no one around to witness this olfactory disaster?" Kal's eyes glint softly in the dim light, a side effect of witholding his amusement.

Power Girl has posed:
"Oh save it, Kal. It was hilarious....it might've stunk, but it was still hilarious." Karen's chuckling at the memory too. "No, Kara was at the watchtower, and Hal was going off duty when I showed up. I kept my distance from them until after I dunked myself in bleach."

Superman has posed:
Kal allows himself a laugh, and then a very big smile. "Phew. Thank you Karen. I didn't want to embarass you, but that was a funny story." Kal takes a deep breath, and smiles. "Well, at least you got the smell out. Mostly." Kal sniffs loudly, grimaces, and then winks at Karen. "Yeah, mostly!" Kal grins this time, and says, "So, you are here now. Anything I can help with?"

Power Girl has posed:
"Nah. I'm fine. I keep Kara company occasionally, and I'll attend her graduation when it happens. I'll be her 'older sister'." Karen even does the air quotes.

Superman has posed:
"That is a great idea! That will be a great day, I am looking forward to it too! I also appreciate you keeping an eye out for her. She does get into trouble." Kal says, with a nod. "Excellent. Well, I have a few things to do, so I won't keep you any longer. Thank you for the information update, and I'll see you later then?" With a final wave, Kal heads into the Fortress.

Power Girl has posed:
Karen Starr waves to Superman. "See you later Kal." She says flying out of the fortress and into the sky.
