Date of Scene: 27 May 2017
Location: Metropolis
Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: 300, Hulk, Captain Marvel (Danvers)

Sassa (300) has posed:
Afternoon. Metropolis. St. Martin's Island. The sun is slowly setting on the horizon, the weather is crystal clear and lovely beyond all measure with not a cloud in the sky and a soft breeze cutting through the shops and the people. The hustle and bustle is exactly as one would expect during the evening. Men and women of all types moving about, in to and out of eatery's. Shopping up and down and spending money. Things are, generally, peacefully.

Sassa, rests on a bench, her legs crossed and arms folded. Wearing much the same clothing as she did the day the Hob's river incident happened. She may or may not be a familiar face to the good Doctor, but that's here nor there. For now, she's content to let the breeze flutter about her hair and face and watch the goings on around her with emerald green eyes.

Hulk has posed:
It's true that Bruce Banner and The Incredible Hulk don't share their memories, or even their thoughts or problem solving abilities. Maybe they share their capacity for intelligence, maybe, but the Hulk's childlike mentality certainly uses it differently.

Wearing clothes that look like they belong on a common bum, the once-notorious Doctor Banner stops near a sidewalk vendor to buy an ice cream cone and then he moves on while biting a mouthful off the already-melting side of the scoop.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Most people, most, might not recognize the man wearing clothes fit for a homless person as someone known, with the intention of hiding. However, Sassa's old as the hills and someone that does, in fact, pay attention. She's seen the man on the news, a long long time ago. Her senses and eye sight, as well as her memory are razor sharp and she can't help but keep her eyes peeled to the man behind big green. Though, that's all she does at the moment, just keep her eyes on him. Following his every move as he walks up to grab the ice cream cone and then walks off.

She seems lost in thought for a moment, as though she's struggling about with approaching the doctor or not. She ;ets him get but a few steps before exhaling deeply and making the decision to go for it. She slides up off her bench and just so happens to notice a quarter on the ground, perfect. She snatches that up and jogs along behind Bruce for a moment. "Sir..." she says softly at first, "Excuse me, sir, you dropped this.." she says to him in a soft voice, an accent that speaks to her being born in Sweden. She stands there though, with a warm smile on her face and an outstretched hand with the quarter sitting in it all nice and shiny. "You uh, you dropped this when you grabbed that.." shea dds pointing to his Ice cream cone.

Hulk has posed:
Banner had started to turn around at the sound of rapid footsteps coming up behind him and when Sassa holds out the quarter he puts up his free hand in a halting gesture. "I'm sure I didn't," he answers in a guarded tone while eyeing the woman up and down, and when he's done assessing her he finally looks at the quarter suspiciously. Finally he looks up to Sassa's face and says, "Must be your lucky day?"

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa sighs, and looks rather dejected before she pockets the Quarter. She looks to the floor a moment and then back up and forces anotehr smile. "Ok, so, yes, that was a lie.." she replies softly as she remains where she is. "I'm sorry for that Doc.." she pauses a moment, "but, I wanted to meet you..." she adds looking around to make sure no one is really evesdropping.

Hulk has posed:
Bruce Banner's mind races and it shows in his bright green eyes. It's the shine, the way they rapidly scan Sassa's face looking for some trace of recognizable detail. He steps sidewise out of the foot traffic and puts his back firmly against a building wall. When his eyes finally come to rest they're locked on the woman's gaze directly.

He says, "Okay," evenly, and takes another bite of his ice cream before offering his free hand to shake. "You seem to know my name already."

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa nods at his statement. She to keeps her emerald eyes locked on to his and is trying, for all she can. to be polite, and soft, and warm. Though, she knows who he is, and there's a tangable fear there, he is the Hulk after all.

She follows him off the beat and path and clamps her hands together at her stomach and sighs, "Sorry Doctor Banner.." she adds softly. "I didn't mean to worry you, or stress you out. I was just, hoping I could meet you. You're one of the most inteligent people on the planet, and well, you're also one of the strongest, or well, rather, the other guy is..."

Hulk has posed:
"So," Banner's brows knit and he quirks a curious grin, "you're not one of my students from Miss Frost's academy, and you're not looking for a fight." He rolls the bite of ice cream around his mouth while it melts. "You can quit worrying, miss. I'm not worried, stressed, or angry. Still waiting to meet -you- though, since you already know my name. You are miss...?" since his offered handshake was left hanging he makes a gesture in the air between them as if he was scooping the name out of thin air toward himself.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa smiles warmly and shakes her head no. "No Sir, I'm not..bit to old to be one of your students.." she replies plainly with that super friendly and warm smile on her face. She seems a warm and gentle sort as she holds her hand out to shake his and then takes it back to being clasped with the other around her stomach. "Truthfully, my name is Sassa Aesdottir.." she replies to his question of her name. "Pleasure to meet you. I've been following your work for some time now, as best I can at any rate."

Hulk has posed:
Bruce's smile just gets more and more quizzical as Sassa shakes his hand and keeps pouring on the charm. "My work?" he says. "Ah. You're, with, uh, D.O.D.? S.W.O.R.D. or S.H.I.E.L.D.? Or you mean in the news?" He seems honestly confused, not sure whether it's really -his- work that's being complimented or technically someone else's.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa blinks and shakes her head no. "I'm not with any of those orginizations at all and never have been." She keeps to standing where she is and exhales deeply, "I mean your real work. With Phyiscs and sceience and well, all those things that are beyond me. I think you're real gift to the world is your inteligence" she adds, and she seems to mean.

Hulk has posed:
Banner's expression turns wry, but doesn't mention that a lot of his work with science wasn't broadcast on the news and without access to those organizations' classified data a person wouldn't know the greater part of his career. The grim look passes and he looks away with a bit of shame. "I suppose I contributed to medical advances and some consumer technology, in university programs," he admits.

When he looks back up at Sassa he just barely meets her gaze. "I suppose you've seen the other news about me too. You should know my 'scientific advances,'" his attitude toward the quotated words are clearly audible in his tone, "were responsible for that too."

Sassa (300) has posed:
"You had published papers Doctor Banner, and your papers and your previous work are astonishing. You are far and above anything I'd ever be capable of, and it's well.." she blushes a little, "I find it rather endearing and inspiring." She pauses a moment, "A man with such a burden, as you have, and yet you are still devoted to science and the betterment of others. Or, well, that's how I see you but maybe I'm wrong. I don't see the monster or the other guy. I see the hero hulk, and the brilliant scientist and I wanted to meet the brilliant man before I met his great burden. So...yeah..."

Hulk has posed:
At Sassa's compliments Bruce smiles shyly, but a moment later he tips his head to one side and then the other as if arguing with himself or listening to different voices that want to argue with what he's just heard until the expression on his face is somber again. "Thank you for reminding me that someone sees that," he says quietly. "Sometimes I wonder if anyone even remembers me as anything but a green mountain of destruction."

His ice cream has been forgotten long enough to start melting, so he tips it up and dumps the scoop off into his mouth before it runs all over his hand. The sudden grimace on his face as he mashes it up in his mouth shows that even he can get an ice-cream-headache.

Sassa (300) has posed:
"I see you as /all/ of what you are Doc. You're Bruce Banner, genious scientist and brilliant man, but you are also the other guy." She smiles again and seems honestly interested in getting to know the man behind the big green. "I'd really like to get to know you better, but, that's entirely up to you." She exhales, "I am sorry for taking so much of your time, and if you want, I can buy you another?" she asks pointing at his ice cream.

Hulk has posed:
"No," Banner presses the pad of his thumb -hard- against his forehead right above the bridge of his nose, where it must hurt. Then he shakes his head and says, "I mean no to making the freeze-headache worse. How about a hot coffee?" He gestures up the sidewalk to an open-air cafe just starting to serve evening meals.

"But you you need to tell me more about you," he adds as he touches Sassa's elbow lightly to encourage her to walk with him toward the little restaurant.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
Carol happened to be in the area for her own reasons, but upon seeing one of her fellow Avengers, she shifts course and moves towards Sassa and Bruce, "Dr. Banner...? Out of his lab? Must be a special day," she then shifts her eyes over at Sassa, "or a special friend?" She's dressed in a simple jeans, t-shirt and jacket kind of deal.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa just blinks, and then nods a yes as she stifles a giggle. "Sure, what ever you want Doc.." she says. "Though, I don't drink coffee.." she adds quirking a smile. "I hope you're ok with that?"

With that said and done she turns on heel to follow him, though the touch to her elbow and his request to know more about her causes her to pause a moment. "Why would you want to know anyting about me? You're the genious scientest /and/ the big green guy.." she retorts. "I, mean, sure. I suppose I can tell you whatever you want to know.." she adds as they walk forward.

The call from Carol, causes her to turn about on friend and give the other woman a long look with her emerald eyes. The special friend comment causes her to blush a bright red, something she tries to hide.

Hulk has posed:
Bruce turns halfway around too, giving the newly arrived Carol Danvers a roll of his eyes at one or the other (or maybe both) of her remarks. Or maybe it was at Sassa's continued flattery. "To be honest, I don't drink much coffee either," he answers Sassa. "Too much caffeine is, uh, isn't good for me."

To Captain Marvel he calls back, "Just catching some air, miss Marvel. You want to join us?"

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"You know I'm all about air," Carol winks at Bruce, and waves her hand at Sassa in quite the informal greeting. "So, who's your new friend, Bruce?" She asks while falling in line to walk alongside Bruce and Sassa.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa blinks and nods, "Too much caffine is bad for you, got it..." she says, an accent on her voice as she talks. One that speaks to her having been born in Sweden, and her having learned English as a second language.

"Well, I can have the caffine I enjoy and you can have that single Coffee, deal?" she asks, beaming from ear to ear. Though, he did just call the lady Miss Marvel.

Pause. Beat.. Wait a tick... Miss...Marvel... Sassa spins about to look at Carol. "Wait, you're Miss Marvel?" she asks, almost going fangirl mode for yet another Avenger. It's pretty obvious to, with her face lighting up even more with the knoweldge that she's flanked on both sides by two members of the Avengers.

Come on Sassa, you're almost 1200 years old, stop acting like a teenage girl. Blink, blink, face slap with both hands. "Right, so, not that it umm, yeah..." and she turns about and restarts her stride as to not make more of a fool of herself. "So, coffee, and the like...onwards and upwards..."

Hulk has posed:
Bruce doesn't seem to mind being the shortest in the group, even when the tallest are women, when the top of his head barely makes it to their ears. Little wonder that 'Little Man Syndrome' isn't part of his psychology.

"All I know is that her name is Sassa Aesdottir," he manages to pronounce the name as properly as a native speaker of the language that spawned it even though he only heard it once, "and I think that accent is Swedish." He glances from Sassa to Carol and then looks ahead to the cafe they're walking toward. "Strange kind of Swedish though. Only heard that accent once or twice while a native speaker was transla-" he cuts himself off and flashes a faint smile at the two women in turn.

"Green tea, I think," he changes the subject suddenly. "That'll wash the freeze out of my throat and won't buzz me too badly."

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
Carol wasn't going to correct Bruce, but someone she's just met? One could expect no less, as she smirks at Bruce before correcting Sassa, "Captain Marvel these days, but yes, I used to wear that codename." As she's recently grew in fame and prestige, Carol has learned to sometime expect a fanboy / fangirl type behaviour, so she doesn't quite mind it. She just flashes Sassa a smile and a thumbs up, "so...coffee then?" She tries to bring back the focus to Bruce's suggestion. She already knows what she's getting.

Good thing trivial matters such as being in the company of taller women doesn't bother Bruce, otherwise he just might be inclined to prove he's the tallest of the bunch after all.

"A Scandinavian," Carol acknowledges the name that Bruce shares with her, as she shoots Sassa a glance, "which place then?" After all, to any not from a Scandinavian country, the accent may well be one and the same. Aside perhaps for the exception of the Suomi.

When Bruce suggests it might be Swedish, Carol looks at Sassa for sport's sake, "and is it? Swedish that is?" Carol can't help but snicker, however, when Bruce announces he'll drink 'green tea', "well, for solidarity's sake, I'll have an irish coffee."

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa just blinks as Bruce introducers her like that, and goes on about her accent and it being a /strange/ kind of Swedish. That bit, causes her to pause a little, trying not to show worry on her face, and failing.

"I think I'd like something hot, now that I've given it a moment. Maybe some hot chocolate..." despite it being summer time. Then Carol says what she says and Sassa turns to lock her gaze with her. "Aye, I suppose you could say that..." is her first reply. "Oh, as was said, Swedish.." she adds, which is a bold faced lie if anyone can see through it in any way. "So, green tea, irish coffee, and a hot chocolate.." she muses. "Sounds like a good set of drinks to me..."

Hulk has posed:
They're approaching the sidewalk cafe so by way of answering Marvel's question of which place, Banner just stops walking and whistles low to get the ladies' attention. Then he slips in among the scattered tables and finds an empty one, hovering there to ward off any other claimants while the ladies make their way in.

He doesn't go as far as to pull chairs out for them, but is enough of a gentleman to keep his feet until the women have claimed their own seats.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"By that grouping, I'd say I'm getting the best one," Carol notes with feigned arrogance. She takes her seat when they arrive at the table Bruce kept for them, "thanks for finding us a spot, if you want to do the gentleman thing and order for us, I really wouldn't mind. I know you, Dr. Banner," Carol winks at him and leans back in her seat, turning to look at Sassa, "so what brings you to New York City?"

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa is in shortly behind Bruce and makes sure to claim her seat quickly. She'd rather not keep anyone waiting or guarding or any of that, so down in the seat she goes. She lets out a soft yawn and looks at Bruce, chosing then to parrot Carol's statement. "Yes Doctor, if you'd be so kind?" she asks, smiling warmly before looking back to Carol. "Huh? Oh.." pause "Nothing in particular really. Just enjoying the city is all.." she replies in a half truth sort of manner. "I've just been, trying to enjoy life is all.." she adds. "I mean, as I told Bruce, there's really nothing of note about me.." a strange statement, considering she's almost six feet tall, built, and carries herself like a warrior of at least some skill.

She leans back against her chair and crosses her legs, her arms following shortly after as they fold together against her upper stomach and under her bustline. "What about you? What's got the two of you out and about in this place?"

Hulk has posed:
"I've always felt there was a fine line between chivalry and chauvinism," Banner answers Marvel as he elects a seat that makes a triangle out of the group, placing himself across from the other two. He smiles slyly between the two of them, "And I've found that many in the modern day can't really tell the difference."

The tall, skinny male server arrives promptly and he puts in the orders, deliberately pointing out Sassa as he orders hot chocolate, Marvel as he orders the Irish coffee and specifies, "Jameson please, not well whiskey," and finally himself when he orders the tea. That gets him a smirk as the waiter looks over the ladies and deliberately asks, "Anything else? We have salads, pastries," he looks at Bruce and adds, "even crumpets."

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"It's usually those who claim to be without note, that are the most interesting," Carol shoots at Sassa, but doesn't press the point. She does straighten a bit in her seat when asked about her business, to which she quips, "I'm afraid that's classified."

Carol nods at Bruce's assessment, "and yo would be correct, my friend." Looking briefly at her smartphone, Carol quips, "nothing else for me, I'll have to go to attend Airforce business shortly."

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa holds up her hand and shakes her head no in regards to anything else outside her hot coco order. "I'm good, thanks.." she replies to the waiter, before turning to face the others again.

"I uh, well..." pause, beat, "Again, I don't really think I'm all that special a person..." she replies to Carol, though, it's even more obvious she's trying to deflect more now than she was doing beforehand.

"I mean, it's you two who are special..." she adds before blinking at Carols response. "Ah, Classified. Right..."

Hulk has posed:
Bruce leans back in his seat and impatiently waves off the waiter, which makes the skinny smartass recoil his head and sneer at him before walking away with the order. Lucky for Bruce spit will show up really blatantly if it ends up in his tea.

He sits watching the women talk, green eyes moving from one to the other as they take their turns.

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"If you say so," Carol doesn't stress the issue with Sassa, and instead turns her gaze to Bruce. Clearly, she wasn't about to divulge classified information. "What do you think, Bruce? She looks like a boring person who isn't at all special to you?" It's being asked in jest, but who knows, maybe she was serious? Either way, she is quick to drink when she gets her beverage, mostly as she is running out of time. She wasn't actually planning on sitting anywhere. But it's always good to see Dr. Banner, and she also got to meet someone new.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa exhales deeply, before reaching out and grabbing the drink as it shows up, with both hands, and going about sipping on the piping hot chocolate. She chooses not to say much else at this point, instead looking at Carol intently and then darting her eyes to Bruce and back and forth between the two.

Hulk has posed:
Bruce casually accepts his green tea and makes a point of inspecting the inside of it before he tries a sip, taking the time to really consider Carol Danver's question. After he's let his mouth get used to the new sensation of hot and he's tried a bigger swallow he finally answers, "I think it's her business and none of ours," quietly and with a firm nod of his head. His eyes dart from Marvel to Sassa and back again before he adds, "Until or unless she makes it our business, one way or another."

Captain Marvel (Danvers) has posed:
"I wouldn't expect anything different from you, Banner," Carol remarks as she makes quick work of her irish coffee, before leaving a $20 on the table, "if there's change, put it towards the tip. Interesting friend you have here, nice to meet you Sassa," she waves at Sassa and gives Banner a friendly salute, before turning to continue along her way, picking up her pace.
