Cast of Characters: Juggernaut, Storm, 300

Juggernaut has posed:
Rumor has had it that Brave New World' Enterprises, tech division, has had several successful military development contracts dealing with force field applications, kinetic force, or some sort of technology. A rival company of Lexcorp, Stark Industries, Wayne Enterprises and the like..they may be a baby brother, comparatively speaking, but they have tech that can cause trouble in the wrong hands.

Such a company is a delicious target for the right minds with the right money and the right money and enough ambition can get the attention of the more mercenary minded individuals. Especially ones that are bored and looking for -any- excuse to exercise some violence and bullish behavior.

Enter The Juggernaut. He's been in the area recently, having been cited in Gotham and later Mutant Town here in New York but that was as Cain Marko. Now he's here in full regalia, making his way into the shipping facilities and warehouse districts near the waterfront with the inexorable approach of a tidal wave nearing the land. His every step causes the ground to shake, windows to shatter and leaves huge footprints in the cement and cracks spider webbing everywhere. Gunfire from military and security forces sound off, hurtling ineffectively against him as he draws nearer to his target warehouse.

From a distance it's like a seismic event is going off, accompanied by occasional explosiosn and flashes of light. Law enforcement have yet to arrive. It's all happening rather quickly.

Storm has posed:
While Ororo was originally out in town for a few late evening errands, it seems fate has put her in the right place. She, however, is not in 'uniform'- an airy dark blue dress and sandals for the summertime eve (https://tinyurl.com/yad2e9lq). Hardly fighting gear, but one must always remember to wear shorts for... sudden occassions?

She is down the street, having been preparing to turn off to head in the other direction from the disturbance when she feels it. Hears it. Unnatural tremors. The bag that was hanging on her arm is shifted to clutch in a hand and toss aside as she turns on a heel in one smooth motion to go running toward the danger.

Either someone is being bad, or someone blew something up. Either way, she can't ignore it. Just not in her being.

Sassa (300) has posed:
The seismic event's on the ground are soon drowned out by the sound of distant, echoing, thunder. Directly over Ororo's head, that distant sound turns in to a small, but entirely audible, sonic boom. Someone, has just broken the sound barrier directly over this area. The twin sounds, a thuding, boom, boom, echo through out the area and signla an extreme ammount of speed. Anyone looking over head would see a small dot, perhaps a figure, clad in glinting silver armor heading straight for the seismic activities epi-center.

Juggernaut has posed:
Within the depths of one of the warehouses, the monstrously huge form of Juggernaut approaches a large vault door, leaving behind him wall after all after wall that has been torn through leaving huge Juggernaut shaped holes in his wake and a scattered private defense company that was about as effective against him as hurtling snowballs into a raging inferno.

A few scientists and workers cower nearby as the brute reaches forward and digs his huge hands into the vault with about as much difficult as sliding a knife into butter. There's a loud screeching wrenching sound as he pulls back and the front of the entire vault twists and contorts an d then pulls free, warping in his hands in taffy.

He hauls the vault door overhead, muscles creaking and pressing out against his armor and biceps bulking up towards the size of small cars. "Go get the Magnifier." He rumbles at a nearby scientist.

The man hesitates until The Juggernaut thunders 'NOW!" with enough force the mans wig is blown off. He scrambles into the open vault but as he does, Juggernaut turns slightly..hearing the thunder and sonic booms. "Hmmm..company coming already?."

Storm has posed:
Well.. this got interesting quick. Juggernaut is the type of person you have to stop fast. Especially once HE stops. Let him get going again...

Ororo's eyes fade away in a wash-out white, Sassa's entrance now accompanied with a drawing of clouds that quickly spread streaks of threatening lightening amongst them, rumbling the accompanied thunder through the vicinity. The brewing storm brings accompanied winds that pick up, blowing stray trash, leaves and other random bits across the ground.

While she was about to call after Juggernaut to get his attention, Sassa's arrival does make her skid to a halt, but her stature is more battle ready. Great. Friend or foe? Well, lets go out on a limb: "Juggernaut!"

Bad thing about him being in a building like that? Collateral damage if she tries to fire inside. Oh boy.

Sassa (300) has posed:
From above, now below. The silver figure clad in armor, with now visible sword on her hip and shield on her back comes to a direct and instant halt directly infront of Ororo and in front of the multiple holes set in to the building by Juggernaut. The /woosh/ of air as she slides in can be felt for nearly a dozen feet around her. The sheer speed and intstant deceleration have her form appearing as if from no where.

For now, she hovers just a few inches above the ground with her arms folded just under her bust line and her legs pressed together in that typical /hero's/ flight pose. For a moment she turns slowly to look back at Ororo and smile. Friend.

She turns her head back in towards the holes and does not yell out. No, she simply stares at Juggernaut, hoping her arrival catches his attention and pulls it away from the others inside the building.

Juggernaut has posed:
One thing Ororo brings to the table here is familiarity with Juggernaut and vice versa such that the goliath actually pauses in surprise as he realizes who it is. His history with the X-men is extensive ranging from terrifying foe to rehabilitated team mate with at least some reconciliation with Charles. A recent restoration of his powers and feeling comfortable in his own skin again has caused him to decide that he's 'Good with being Bad' for now but it at least means he has the wherewithal to greet Ororo versus just throwing the vault door at her.

"Well lookee here.. You come all this way by yourself just for me? You been spying? Where's the rest of your crew? Charlie knows betten to just send -one- out to check on me." Juggernaut turns, fully facing Ororo now, "And to think I've been thinking about hitting Westchester to raid the fridge! C'mon now Stormie. You better fly off before I have to chase you off.."

And then Sassa appears in full glory, even dropping just infront of Storm. Juggernaut just blinks. This one he -doesn't- know and it restores abit of his prior aggression t hough he also sounds amused, "Whose this?? You a local good guy?"

Storm has posed:
White-out eyes study Sassa for a brief moment, but the seeming acceptance that she is 'friend' at least for the moment has those blank eyes turning back in the direction of Juggernaut. Her own form lifts, the air currents holding her aloft a lot more visible in this dress versus her usual 'attire'- making the lighter fabric billow and tug with the currents. She knows better than to stay at ground level with him and so she remains prepared.

"You would have been welcome, though you would have to explain this." Would have been. Another flash of lightning flashes light down upon them. Totally not her doing... just storm-cloud being an ominous dark stormcloud, honest!

Granted, he does have a good question. Armor she is unfamiliar with and several abilities of her own to mark- Ororo's curiousity of the newcomer does turn her attention back to the other woman.

Sassa (300) has posed:
To Juggernaut, Sassa responds first by floating towards him. Body upright and stiff as a board as she does, showing a level of control over flight nearing if not exceeding mastery. She continues though, floating through each hole, slowly and surely approaching the walking earthquake. She stops, a wall or two before him.

"Who I am, is not important." She replies plainly, her emerald green eyes no where near as ominous as Storms washed out white eyes. "You, on the other hand, do need to know that I am here to do whatever it takes to stop you. So, in that regard? What is important is that you count me as enemy and you do so knowing full well that to underestimate me, would be a mistake."

She turns her head back to Storm for a moment, and nods at her. She no doubt hopes Storm heard her make her statement to Juggy. With that she turns back to face him, "So, will you stand down and stop this madness? Or are we going to have a problem?"

Juggernaut has posed:
The scientists are taking advantage of the distraction to try and slip out of sight. Behind Juggernaut, several have been emerging from the vault, pulling along a high tech looking machine that has the makigns and shape of some sort of ammo-less fancy gun. They pause at the sight of Juggernaut being confronted and glance at each other trying to figure out what to do..

"Some of us have to work for a living, Storm." Responds Juggernaut, "This has nothing to do with you or Chuckles so I don't have to explain nothing. " His eyes narrow abit as he notes the currents of weather being bent to Ororo's will.. Then his gaze snaps to Sassa.

"Stop me..?" Them's trigger words.

"iGirl, don't' you know who I am??" And with that he pivots at the waist, swinging out his huge arm and gripping the vault door like a Frisbee. There's almost a brief pause as the air pressure builds from his tremendous movements and then with a shockwave proceeding it, the goliath launches the huge door at Sassa, sending it crashing through the first wall and quickly bearing down on her, engulfing her in shadow as it draws near.

Storm has posed:
"There is a difference between working and stealing." Storm answers smoothly. Though the time for talk is quickly coming to a close as action is coming about. There is an inward wince as Sassa sets Juggernaut off.

The lightning above grows in verocity, making the area crack with a deafening crash of thunder by result. Well- lets hope no one was planning on sleeping tonight for a while. Sometimes great power comes at the expense of those that actually have to get up in the morning at a decent hour for a day job if they are in the vicinity.

With the scientists moving out of sight and out of line of fire, it does help. Sassa however is between her and Juggernaut. "Bring him in the open!" Or else she may end up making her own ceiling in the building because she won't fire through a friendly- or through collaterals.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa, is, quick. Her reflexes are pretty spot on, so, she sees the vault door coming, but well, Storm's behind her and there's no way in any hell that she'd let that thing go flying past her and it risk hitting the woman, regardless of if she knows her or not. She's also strong, very strong, but a flying twenty-two ton bank vault door is right about the limit of her twenty five ton strength threshold. Needless to say, it impacts her with all that force amplified by it being flung through the air at her.

The impact is loud, and no doubt deafeningly so. The door hits Sassa full on and it carries her back several dozen feet. The impact also causes her to yelp out in what can only be assumed to be some bit of pain. That being what it is, the vault door falls to the ground with yet another loud bang, and Sassa, soon follows form crashing in to a wall, and through it, and coming to an abrupt halt in wall number two. She falls forward face first in to the floor with a thud and an off and doesn't seem to be moving at first glance.

Unfortunatly, there's no time for her to respond to Storm yelling at her to get Juggy out in the open. A Vault door to the face tends to take up all of ones attention. However, lesson learned...

Juggernaut has posed:
"Oops. I guess that little love tap was to much for her. She won't be able to hear the second part of my catch phrase!" quips Juggernaut as Sassa lays momentarily prone. He then turns around and grabs the entire massive cart like construct and the item atop it. IT's bound by chains so tech doesn't slide off but there's another wreching sound as Juggernaut rips the entire contraption from the floor as he hollars at the scientists, "Gimme that!"

Thankfully he's disinterested in the complexity and confusion taking hostages would cause and instead turns towards another wall.. The earth begins rocking again, violently, as he starts off in a run while cradling his prize with one huge arm, heading for an opposite wall. The building shakes thunderously as he explodes through one wall and then another and then another..and then he's finally out in the open yard of the storage facility!

Storm has posed:
There is a faint tightening of Storm's lips as Sassa gets slammed by the vault door. Have to say something for the lady, though. That would have turned even a normal human in shiny armor into a pancake. At least she may just wake up with a headache- or so Ororo hopes.

But she doesn't have time to check on her just yet. Hearing Juggernaut is as telling as seeing him sometimes. Her form floats higher above to have a more overhead view, but the storm hasn't lessened. If anything, it has increased.

A second after Juggernaut crosses into the open yard, the first bolt of lightning comes down in front of him- or she hopes by timing it he may run right into it to stop him short. Either way, she's aiming on halting his egress.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa takes a moment to pull herself up from her face plant. Panting a little, as tiny bits of blood drip down her bared face. That, hurt. No doubt quite a bit and more than she's used to, but she's never been hit in the face with a bank vault before, score one for Juggy.

Score two for her though, she watches a moment as the lightning strikes directly infront of him, and as she stands up she yells out to the people around her, "DOWN!" She waits, only for a split second before she accelerates from a dead stand still to zero point nine mach. The over pressure inside the building is enough to blow anyone down to the floor. From that dead stand still, twenty five tons of /armored boot to the back of your head/ slams in to Juggernaut at over seven hundred miles an hour.

Juggernaut has posed:
The Juggernaut has charged into the earthquake causing punches of The Savage Hulk before so a flash of lightning isn't in and of itself going to stop him per sebut he's also carrying equipment he's being paid a lot of money to lift out of here and one would think that running into and through a lightning bolt would not bode well for that. There's also the suddenness of it and thef flash of light accompanying it and so with a loud *HRngh!* he throws an elbow up to shield his eyes and tries to also adjust his own momentum to move in another direction.

If he can succeed or not at this one will never know because that same instant Sassa comes bolting out of nowhere, accompanying Storm's lightning strikes to double tam the red behemoth. She slams into the back of his head, catching him by surprise with iits suddenness and a loud clanging *TWHAAAAAM* rippling through the area. Juggernaut has stood immovable to even stronger blows but the combo of strikes and its suddenness sends him staggering off to the side and crashing into a pile of parked fork lifts, flattening them and sending debris spraying everywhere. The machine he was carrying gets dropped.

Storm has posed:
Storm floats lower, closer to the fight-arena that has become the storage area. One thing for sure... bring out heavy hitters and people should start paying 'Act of God' insurance premiums to cover anything .. like this.

She comes in to land between the machine and Juggernaut- trying to block him from what he came here for. Above, the lightning is still chaotic, arcing between cloud to cloud, ready and threatening to strike at any given moment. This also creates a constant rumbling thunder as result, the occassional cracked 'boom' on certain ones as the flashes light the area as if a rainstorm should be pouring over the area- but it doesn't rain.

Though with the momentary re-prieve with him re-altered into fork-lift stopping pads, a brief smile is flashed to Sassa. A relieved one. Good, she seems to be alright.

Also: Landing and canceling her flight does have a visible change as the fabric of her dress is no longer flapping in her own personal air current. A visible signal with her current attire that she is momentarily not ready to 'fly' at a moment's notice and a could-be target.

Sassa (300) has posed:
After that display, Sassa can not help but to be pulled to defend someone who appears to be a target. She hopes that Juggy got the message, that yes, she took a hit, but she can dish them out to. As such, she appears again, likea flash, with sword drawn in right hand, and shield in the left and raised towards the Juggernaut. Her stance, is literally perfect. Showing to a warrior that has perfected her fighting ability over a /very/ long time.

"You alright?" she asks of Storm, that little red stream still gently pouring down the right side of her face and causing her to close her right eye. Regardless of that, she still smiles warmly. She doesn't wait for the question to be answered though, as tactically there's no time to keep her eyes off the moving mountain.

Juggernaut has posed:
For his part, Juggernaut is already on the move, emerging from the pile of downed forklifts and the earth shaking again as he steps free from the debris with a crimson hue to his shadowed eyes. "I gave you ladies a chance but you just want to pick a fight. I'm surprised at you Stormy. Have you forgotten what you're up against? You're making me mad!"

He stretches his massive arms up over his head, gigantic torso swelling even bigger if such a thing were comprehensible.

" I don't' much like hitting girls but I got a rep to think of.." he rumbles, balling his fists up with a sound akin to tree trunks splintering as his knuckles pop. "Let's see if you can 'get' as good as you can give..!"

And wit that the gargantuan drives his huge fists down to the ground in a double fists slam. The enire area rocks violently as if a magnitude seven quake just exploded into the area with a huge shockwave and widening crater erupting into view and a cloud of dust and debris blasting high like a mushroom cloud. Shockwave blasts out towards the two women but also the nearby buildings begin to quake, sway and blow apart. Within the warehouses, the remaining scientists go for cover as the roofs start to come down and the ground opens up, chasms spreading rapidly.

Storm has posed:
A brief nod, but a quick one is given in response to Sassa. They don't have much time for small talk. "I remember." Doesn't mean she will back down, especially when innocents are involved.

While she would again attack him outright, she has other things to deal with. She'll have to trust the overly stout Asgardian to handle the frontal assault. The shockwave is something hard to defend against, especially when you are physically light as she is. She grunts as she flies backwards and over the contraption that he dropped, but she is already in motion with the currents...

Winds whip through the area in a sudden speed that might threaten an oncoming tornado if they were purely natural and not being manipulated. Though the winds come harshly from the direction of the building itself, causing force to meet force to stop the debris from hurting civilians. However, as physics generall go: Force meets opposing force equals cancellation of force, correct? Such turns Juggernaut's 'spray' of rubble and debris into a rain of debris over the women, but at least the innocents are saved.

And such provides another issue: Caught in her current and at least her forceful flyback was stopped; some of the falling debris knocks her down and behind a smaller crate with a 'thud'. Not out- just needs a moment. Ow.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa lift slowly off the ground, just enough speed to dodge the ground pounders, well, ground pound. She continues this lift, and turns back to see that Storm does, indeed, have things /mostly/ covered. Checking to make sure she's alright, Sassa places her shield back on her back and her sword back in it's home. Since things are already as dire as they are, she decides to do something that she normally would never do. The woman accelerates yet again, from a dead standstill, to her maximum speed in flight. This, is literally, over three thousand and eight hundred miles per hour, or Mach 5. The sonic boom she makes no doubt echos for miles. The overpressure created from such extreme acceleration and speed also something that Storm may have to contend with herself.

She covers the distance from where she is, to where Juggy is in seconds, impacting his helmet with her fist, twenty five tons of impact force multipled by someone moving at nearly four thousand miles an hour, is well, a rather large number that takes a rather long period of time to calcuate and a lot of equations. Suffice to say, it is the single most power she is capable of exerting. It is the absolute, ultimate, limit of her strength.

Juggernaut has posed:
The earthquake rumbles out into the neighborhoods beyond, overturning cars and bursting fire hydrants and shattering windows but by then much of it has dissipated and with Storms quick thinking and wise actions, many injuries are averted and the local workers can finish clearing out of the area.

For his part, Juggernaut turns his attention to the damaged and overturned super tech. It's beeping now. Looks like he overdid it slightly there. "And t'think I still pulled that.." he grumbles while starting to take a step towards it. But Sassa is incoming fast and the behemoth turns just in time to meet her head on.

The impact is horrendous to say the least. A thunderous roar that out does the noise caused by his ground-pound by several degrees, blowing windows out for blocks and blocks and clearing the ara around the impact zone as the massive crater deepens even further and a blast of dust and cement and metal flies skywards.

Storm is fortunantly well out of the danger zone from the blast though she may not appreciate the noise. As for Sassa.. she finds that she..was stopped dead at the point of her impact. That much force and it was like she struck an immovable object. Well..it -is- the Juggernaut. Bricks as strong as Colossus have broken their hands just punching him The THign himself having slammed into such strength and been stopped cold..

And so he just stands there, looking down at the girl as the dust clears he rumbles, "You done? Cute hit? Now let's see you take my SUNDAY PUNCH!"

He's barely finished speaking and his monsterous fist is swatting around and up aiming for the woman in a thunderous upper cut sure to compete with the loud noises that have been unleashed. The air pressure alone shaking the area.

Storm has posed:
There are several things hitting Storm at once- and while she is very durable when it comes to extreme elemental harshness, she does not have superhuman durability otherwise. The sharp pressure change is difficult, almost feeling like her breath was knocked out of her as she pulls herself up to her feet, bits of rubble in the earlier backlash having made small cuts on her arms, but hard to see on her darker skin.

While she also isn't new to loud noises, she is forced to her knees at -that- deafening clap when Sassa meets Juggernaut full force. Her hands instantly go to her ears as she falls to a knee on the ground, crying out in pain as it feels like ice-picks were just shoved into her eardrums. She may not have been ground-zero for the shockwave, but that harsh clap of thunder resembling a bomb, almost- she's close enough for that to -hurt-.

Though the pain has her disabled for the moment. While she's been trying to call upon her colleagues for a few goes here- now she really won't be able to reach them for a good minute, let alone hear anything but ringing. Her distraction also makes the dark clouds above disappate, allowing the moonlight to shine through.

Sassa (300) has posed:
Sassa's eyes go wide when the dust settles and her fist is resting against Juggernauts helmet. Having not even dented it or moved him with an almost incalucuable ammount of impact force. That, and her hand, and whole arm and no doubt entire upper body hurts. This, is her having done the under estimation, not Juggy. No, she's misscalculated drasstically and for a split second she realizes that she might have hurt a friendly in the process. It's enough to send sheer terror through her body before...

The impact. The sheer force of it, it's mind boggling how he could hit her so hard. There's a split second where she's still concious before the white flash in her eyes and then darkness. For Storm, from the outside, Juggernaut hits the woman and sends her limp, near lifeless body rocketing skywards. Though, gravity has it's hands on her soon and she comes plummeting back down towards the ground, impacting with enough force to burry her several dozen feet and create another crater. At that, she doesn't move, though watchfull eyes can see she's still breathing, just entirely unconcious.

Juggernaut has posed:
"I warned you ladies." Juggernaut glances around searching for Storm but upon not seeing her figures she's still dealing with saving the workers. He looks..briefly bothered. Briefly. So much for having a clean place to crash when he needs. Maybe he'll send her a card.

"Told them broads to beat it..I..I.. Uh. Uh oh..."

The machine he had been hired to get? It seems to have had its internal core damaged a and it pulses louder and louder with warning beeps occurring as it prepares to go critical. Juggernaut reaches it just as he sees the glow on the interior reaching its apex. He reaches over it, bringing it up to his torso only to just now realize what may be about to happen.

"Aw nuts."

And then it explodes. Not a normal explosion for what the giant could not have known was that this is some sort of experiment with attempting to duplicate the technology behind Iron Man's repulsor rays and gravity field manipulations. The explosion is a bright flash of light that powers a large bulk of its energy downward beneath the Juggernaut and like a trampoline actually dislodges him, launching him. "What the heelllll!!" he roars as he goes tumbling into the air with the ruins of the machine gripped in his hand, soaring backwards and into the Hudson. And then gone

When Storm and Sassa come around, the giant has -not- returned. The workers and scientists are present to help them both. Well, upon finding Sassa at least. Many thanks are in order. IT's an odd sort of 'stalemate to the fight but at least both ladies can say they have faced The Juggernaut.
