Synopsis: Summary needed
Cast of Characters: Thomas Raith, Green Lantern (Cruz)

Thomas Raith has posed:
It's thursday night, and Thursdays are always a bit slow at the Blue Lady. The Doorman outside, a young hispanic man with a pair of tomahawks hanging from his belt, is pretty much letting anyone in as they approach him. One of the Cigar girls, still in her uniform save for not having the cigar box around her neck, is at the mic taking the opertunity to prefore in front of the minimal crowd. At the bar, a man who looks rather like Bruce Willias from Red with an eyepatch cleans glasses and takes the few orders that come his way.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz walks into the bar - it's just past midnight. She's wearing a gray dress with a jacket which she leaves at the front and finds a spot to sit down. There's nothing unusual about the Hispanic woman except she looks alone. She sits down, not wnating to be in her empty over-stuffed house anymore - but is paradoxically glad that there's not many here. She looks over the menu, thinking of getting a snack.

Thomas Raith has posed:
The bar would normally be Emillia's spot, but since she is on stage Thomas is covering for her. He offers the beautiful hispanic woman a warm smile and tilts his head slightly, "Welcome to the Blue LAdy," He says with a grin, "Anything I can do for you?" There is no particular emphasis put on any of the words, yet somehow the offer almost seems to imply that what he could do for her would be a mistake she would relish the rest of her life.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz sighs softly as she blushes faintly at your delivery. A sexy man talking in that tone... anyway. She sighs softly. "Just a Mountain Dew. Not much for alcohol. I'm a bit lonely - I have to travel for work. So I don't have much of a home life and just... came here on a whim."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith nods slightly and walks over to a small fridge and pulls out of all things, a long necked glass bottle of Mountain Dew. "Have to get these shipped all the way from from Mexico. Still I personally think they taste better then the ones in plastic." He presses his thumb under the metal cap and after a second it flips into the air like a coin, traces of vpor escapeing the bottle as the warm air hits the cold liquid. Seemingly out of reflexive habit he swats the cap out of the air with his other hand and sends it to land in the trash can. Without looking. "Here you go, on the house. " He says offering a wicked smile.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz raises an eyebrow. "Thanks," she states. "I haven't been in here before - I'm Jessica," she states, extending her hand to Thomas for a handshake. "I don't like large crowds so this is rather perfect for me - just a subtle crowd... I was just overseas and am not quite back in the same sleep schedule as everyone else yet."

Thomas Raith has posed:
The man nods, looking around. "It varies. There are nights like this, then there are other nights we've got a line halfway down the block waiting to get in." He offers her a menu, then on hand vaults over the bar, slipping onto the stool next to her and offering his hand. "I'm Thomas, I own the Blue LAdy.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz ponders. "I wish you had pancakes..." she muses softly. "I'll take the street tacos," she muses as she smiles, taking a swig. "Nice to meet you," she muses, her hand tingling a bit. "Those sound good - unless you can whip up some nachos." She smiles. "The music's alright..."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith grins and looks around the bar considering, "Well for a beautiful woman, maybe I could be talked into making you up some pancakes special. You know if you were to say please." He says grinning a bit wickedly. He offers her his hand as if to invite her into the back...

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz smiles. "Pancakes are my favorite - but it's a bit of a Murphy's Law situation - half the time when I get a stack of them in front of me, something happens to pull me away." She smiles as she takes your hand, and hops over the bar herself - even in a dress, she's quite athletic.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith takes her in the back, into the kitchen. If the staff there seem bothered by the fact that the boss is apparently bringing a customer into the back none of them show it. "Now then, are we talking grandma style, or chocolate chips, or blue berries?" he asks taking down a large metal bowl and adding flour and sugar..

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz smiles. "Chocolate chip pancakes sound lovely," she states, waving to some of the staff. She finds a stool to sit on. "It's just... I have such bad luck. But I'm not going anywhere tonight." She smiles. "You're really a nice guy, Thomas. Thank you."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith grins wickedly, "Oh don't say that, you will completely ruin my reputation.." He says, going about the preparation to make two fairly large stacks of pancakes with chocolate chips. "So what do you do, I mean if it's work that keeps you away from pancakes?" He asks with a grin. "I mean I love pancakes myself.. I just hate eating them alone... Of course I hate eating breakfast by myself in general.." That last also having a bit of a playfully wicked edge to it.

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz smiles faintly. "Meals are always better wtih two. I have two jobs - I'm an author, but... there are a lot of other obligations that keep me on the move at times. I have to do research for my books and... sometimes my publisher just calls at the WORST time." It's not the entire truth but it's close enough - her 'other job' is not something she tends to discuss.

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith grins a bit and tilts his head slightly, "Anything I might have heard of?" he asks curiously, "I'm not much of a reader myself but my brother will burn through a paper back a day if he's not busy." He pours the batter onto the flat top..the smell immediately filling the kitchen..

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz smiles. "Yeah. The Fantastic Four novels by J.C. Archer." She winks. "That's me. I don't put my own name on them." She sighs softly. "But the last one... it was terrible. I had a lot of issues in my life. And..." She sighs softly. "I wrote myself in a corner."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith ahhs slightly and nods... "Well it sounds interesting anyway... And it's been my limited experience that fans can be very forgiving, at least of a first mistake." He says and points to where there is a stack of plates nearby, gesturing for her to grab two of them as he flips the golden brown cakes over once..

Green Lantern (Cruz) has posed:
Jessica Cruz nods. "Yeah - but it's been two years and I haven't got a new one out," she states as she gets a pair of plates. "I have some ideas but they haven't manifested themselves yet in a solid way."

Thomas Raith has posed:
Thomas Raith grins a little bit as he loads the plates up with pancakes and then gestures to a stairway a bit further back in the kitchen leading upstairs. "If we wanna top them, we'll have to go up there... And if you like I can at least listen... Good way to get around writers block I'm told is to talk the idea out..
